In this report we investigate Wmeson productions on the proton via electromagnetic and hadron probes in a chiral quark model approach. The observables, such as, differential cross section and beam asymmetry for the two productions are calculated and compared with the experiment. The five known resonances S11(1535),S11(1650), P13(1720), D13(1520), and F15(1680) are found to be dominant in the reaction mechanisms in both channels. Significant contribution "missing resonances, no evidence is found within πp→ηn are also presented. from a new S11 resonances are deduced. For the so-called the investigated reactions. We have developed an analytic continuation method for extracting parameters of nucleon resonances within a Hamiltonian formulation of meson-nucleon reactions. The method was tested for simple solvable models and then applied for our recent coupled channels model (πN, ηN, π△, ρN, and σN ) of the π*N and γ*N reactions. The resonance pole positions and their properties are studied for P11and P11 channels.  相似文献

Within the Excited Baryon Analysis Center we have performed a dynamical coupled-channels analysis of the available p(e,e'π)N data in the region of W ≤ 1.6 GeV and Q2 ≤1.45 (GeV/c)2. The channels included are γ*N, π*N, ηN, and ηN which has π△, pN, and σN components. With the hadronic parameters of the model determined in our previous investigations of πN→ πN reaction, we have found that the available data in the considered W ≤ 1.6 GeV region can be fitted well by only adjusting the bare γ*N → N* helicity amplitudes for the lowest N* states in P33, P11, S11 and D13 partial waves. The meson cloud effect, as required by the unitarity conditions, on the γ*N → N* form factors are examined.  相似文献

We are aiming to study the J/Ψ→Pη' decay in an isobar model and the effective Lagrangian approach on the basis of the coupling constants extracted from the πN→η'N reaction. After a careful exploration of the contributions of the S_(11)(1535),P_(11)(1710),P_(13)(1900),S_(11)(2090) and P_(11)(2100) resonances,we conclude that either a subthreshold resonance or a broad P-wave state in the near threshold range seems to be indispensable to describe the present data of the πN→η'N.Furthermore,at least one broad resonance above η'N threshold is preferred. With this detailed analysis,we give the invariant mass spectrum and Dalitz plot of the J/Ψ→Pη' decay for the purpose of assisting the future detailed partial wave analysis. It is found that the J/Ψ→Pη' data are useful for disentangling the above or below threshold resonant contribution, though it still further needs the differential cross section data ofπN→η'N to realize some of the resonant and non-resonant contribution.  相似文献

We study near-threshold η meson production in pp collisions within an effective Lagrangian approach combined with the isobar model, by allowing for the various intermediate nucleon resonances due to the π, η, and ρ-meson exchanges. It is shown that the ρ-meson exchange is the dominant excitation mechanism for these resonances, and the contribution from the N*(1720) is dominant. The total cross section data can be reasonably reproduced, and the anisotropic angular distributions of the emitted η meson are consistent with experimental measurements.Besides, the invariant mass spectra of pp and pη explain the data well at excess energy of 15 Me V, and are basically consistent with the data at excess energy of 40 Me V. However, our model calculations cannot reasonably account for the two-peak structure in the pη distribution at excess energies of 57 and 72 Me V, which suggests that a more complicated mechanism is needed at higher energy region.  相似文献

The GRAAL experimental set-up consists of a polarized and tagged photon beam that covers an energy range from a minimum of 600 MeV up to a maximum of 1500 MeV, of a liquid Hydrogen or Deuterium target and of the 4π Lagrange detector optimized for photon detection. It allows the study of pseudo-scalar and vector meson photoproduCtion on the nucleon in the energy range corresponding to the second and the third resonance regions. In the following, the ∑ beam asymmetries in η and π0 photoproduction on quasi-free nucleon are shown. Also single and double polarization observables in K+A photoproduction on free proton are shown; they are important to confirm the role of new or poorly known resonances in the 1900 MeV mass region.  相似文献

Within the framework of the isospin-dependent transport model, the roles of the reactions N? → NN and πN→ ? are investigated through simulating heavy-ion collisions at 1000 MeV/nucleon. The absorption process N? → NN plays an important role for heavy impact systems and small impact parameters than for light impact systems and large impact parameters. The resorption process πN→ ? is of importance for heavy impact systems and large impact parameters than for light impact systems and small impact parameters. Thus the influences of the reaction N? → N N(πN→ ?) on pion production dynamics can be neglected in heavy-ion collisions for smaller(larger) impact parameters and light systems. It is the reaction πN→ ? that causes the anti-correlation of pions and nucleons in the rapidity dependence of the directed flow.  相似文献

The quark potential model is used to investigate the low-energy elastic scattering of πN system. The model potential consists of the t-channel and s-channel one-gluon exchange potentials and the harmonic oscillator confining potential. By means of the resonating group method, a nonlocal effective potential for the πN system is derived from the interquark potentials and used to calculate the πN elastic scattering phase shifts. By considering the effect of QCD renormalization, the suppression of the spin-orbital coupling and the contribution of the color octet of the clusters (qq) and (qqq), the numerical results are in fairly good agreement with the experimental data. The same model and method are employed to investigate the possible πN resonances. For this purpose, the resonating group equation is transformed into a standard Schrodinger equation in which the nonlocal effective πN interaction potential is included. Solving the Schrodinger equation by the variational method, we are able to reproduce the masses of some currently concerned πN resonances.  相似文献

Complementary to the conventional experimental studies on N* from πN and γ(*)N reactions, the e+e-, pp and pp collisions can give novel insights into these N* resonances. While the e+e- collisions through production and decay of vector charmonium ψ provide a nice isospin filter for a simultaneously study of N*, △*, ∧*, ∑* and 2*, the pp collisions should be the best place for producing those △*++ with large coupling to p+p though pp →nA*++ reaction, and the pp collisions should be the best place for looking for those N* with large coupling to σN.  相似文献

Using relativistic spin-flavor wave functions of a Lorentz-covariant light cone quark model, we calculate the electromagnetic form factors of two S11 resonances, N(1535) and N(1650), and the helicity amplitudes A1/2 and S1/2 for electroexcitation of the S11 resonances from the nucleon. The electromagnetic form factors of these S11 resonances are found to be similar to those of the nucleon in shape, while the charge form factor of neutral N(1650) is nearly zero. The relative peak height of the S11 charge form factors is controlled by the mixing angle common to both resonance wave functions. As in most quark models, there is a systematic overestimate of A1/2 in both N(1535) and N(1650) cases at the photon point. A sizeable S1/2 for all cases is produced as suggested by experiments.  相似文献

The present focus of the CBELSA/TAPS experiment is on meson-photoproduction off the nucleon using polarized photons and polarized targets. Here first preliminary results on the reactions γp → pπ and γp → pπ for both circularly and linearly polarized photons and a longitudinally polarized target are presented. Preliminary results for the beam asymmetry ∑ and the double polarization observable G have been extracted for both reactions using the linear polarization data. From the circular polarization data the observable E has been determined. Due to the near 4π angular coverage of the detector system these results cover almost the full solid angle.  相似文献

Multi-meson final states such as γp →pπ0π0 and γp →pπ0η have been investigated with the Crystal-Barrel/TAPS experiment at ELSA. Baryon cascades via △π and △η and also via higher mass baryon resonances are clearly observed. Based on this data and on data from other reactions a partial wave analysis has been performed from which partial decay widths of various N* and △* states into the different pπ0π0 and pπ0η decay channels have been determined, leading partly to unexpected results. In addition, polarisation observables have been investigated. The beam asymmetry X has been determined for both reactions and double polarisation data using a longitudinally polarised target and a circularly or linearly polarised photon beam has been taken. Given the angular coverage of the Crystal-Baxrel/TAPS experiment this data covers almost the full angular range and phase space. This data will provide new and important information for the partial wave analyses and bring us one step closer towards a complete experiment.  相似文献

The energy-, density-, and isospin-dependent ?-formation cross section σ_(Nπ→?)~* and ?-decay width are calculated based on the relativistic BUU approach in which the effective mass splitting of nucleon and ? baryons in isospin-asymmetric matter is considered by the inclusion of the δ meson exchange in the effective Lagrangian density and the density-dependent coupling constants of Hofmann et al. The results show that the σ_(Nπ→?)~* is decreased(increased) moderately with increasing density with(without)the consideration of medium modifications on pion mass. Meanwhile, if the invariant mass of the system is not far from the ?pole mass, the ?-decay width is also weakly dependent on density. The mass splitting effect of differently charged nucleon and ?baryons on σ_(Nπ→?)~* is found to be more obvious than that of pion mesons but much weaker than the mass splitting in the hard ?production channel NN → N?. Further, the largest mass-splitting influence is seen in the π~-p → ?~0 and π~+n → ?~+ channels but not in the production of ?~- and ?~(++) isobars.  相似文献

The angular distribution of the ^13C(d,p)^14C reaction is reanalysed using the Johnson-Soper approach. The squared asymptotic normalization coefficient (ANC) of virtual decay ^14 C →^13 C^14+ n is then derived to be 21.4±5.0 fm^-1. The squared ANC and spectroscopic factor (SF) of ^14O→^13N +p are extracted to be 30.4± 7.1 fm^-1 and 1.94 ± 0.45, respectively. The astrophysical S-factors and reaction rates of ^13N(p, γ)140 are determined from the ANC of ^14O → ^13N + P using the R-matrix approach.  相似文献

Properties of the B-meson light-cone wavefunction up to next-to-leading order Fock state expansion are studied by a comparative study of the B → π, K form factors within the kT factorization approach and the light-cone sum rule analysis. The form factors F+,0,T^B→ π and F+,0,T^B→ K are carefully re-calculated up to O(1/mb^2) within the kT factorization approach in the large recoil region. The QCD light-cone sum rule is applicable in the large and intermediate energy regions, and the QCD light-cone sum rule results in Ref. [12] are adopted for such a comparative study. It is found that when the two phenomenological parameters ∧^-∈ [0.50, 0.55] and δ∈ [0.25, 0.30], the results of F+,0,T^B→ π (Q^2 ) and F+,0,T^B→ K(Q ^2) from these two approaches are consistent with each other in the large recoil energy region.  相似文献

We report the analysis status of single π0electroproduction in the resonance region to study the electromagnetic excitation of the nucleon resonances. The study is aimed at understanding of the internal structure and dynamics of the nucleon. The experiment was performed using an unpolarized cryogenic hydrogen target and 2.0 and 5.8 GeV polarized electron beam during the ele and e1-6 run periods with CLAS at Jefferson Lab. The new measurements will produce a data base with high statistics and large kinematic coverage for the hadronic invariant mass (W) up to 2.0 CeV in the momentum transfer (Q2) range of 0.3--6.0 GeV2. Preliminary results will be presented and compared with the various model calculations.  相似文献

A rovibrational model, including anharmonic, centrifugal, and Coriolis corrections,is used to calculate π,K,N, and Σ orbital and radial resonances. The four orbital excitations of the π meson correspond to the b(1235),π_2(1670),b_3(2030),and π_4(2250) resonances. Its first four radial excitations correspond to the π(1300),π(1800),π(2070),and π(2360) resonances. The orbital excitations of the K meson are interpreted as the K_1(1270),K_2(1770),K_3(2320),and K_4(2500) resonances;its radial excitations correspond to the K(1460) and K(1830) resonances. The N orbital excitations are identified with the N(1520),N(1680),N(2190),N(2220),and N(2600) resonances. The first four radial excitations of the N family correspond to the N(1440),N(1880),N(2100),and N(2300) resonances. The orbital excitations of the Σ baryon are associated with the Σ(1670),Σ(1915),Σ(2100),and Σ(2250) resonances, whereas its radial excitations are identified with the Σ(1660),Σ(1770),and Σ(1880) resonances. The proposed rovibrational model calculations show a good agreement with the corresponding experimental values and allow for the prediction of hadron resonances, thereby proving to be useful for the interpretation of excited hadron spectra.  相似文献

The η meson can be bound to atomic nuclei.Experimental search is discussed in the form of final state interaction for the reactions dp → 3 Heη and dd → 4 Heη.For the latter case tensor polarized deuterons were used in order to extract the s-wave strength. For both reactions complex scattering lengths are deduced: a 3 Heη = ± 10.7±0.8 +0.1 -0.5 +i· 1.5±2.6 +1.0-0.9 fm and a 4 Heη = [±(3.1±0.5)+i·(0±0.5)] fm.In a two-nucleon transfer reaction under quasi-free conditions,p^ 27 Al → ^3 HeX,was investigated. The system X can be the bound 25 Mg  η at rest. When a possible decay of an intermediate N  (1535) is required,a highly significant bump shows up in the missing mass spectrum. The data give for a bound state a binding energy of 13.3±1.6 MeV and a width of σ=4.4±1.3 MeV.  相似文献
