We prove a limit theorem for non-degenerate quasi-linear parabolic SPDEs driven by space-time white noise in one space-dimension, when the diffusion coefficient is Lipschitz continuous and the nonlinear drift term is only measurable. Hence we obtain an existence and uniqueness and a comparison theorem, which generalize those in [2], [4], [5] to the case of non-degenerate SPDEs with measurable drift and Lipschitz continuous diffusion coefficients.Research supported by the Hungarian National Foundation of Scientific Research No. 2290.

In [R. Buckdahn, B. Djehiche, J. Li, S. Peng, Mean-field backward stochastic differential equations. A limit approach. Ann. Probab. (2007) (in press). Available online: http://www.imstat.org/aop/future_papers.htm] the authors obtained mean-field Backward Stochastic Differential Equations (BSDE) associated with a mean-field Stochastic Differential Equation (SDE) in a natural way as a limit of a high dimensional system of forward and backward SDEs, corresponding to a large number of “particles” (or “agents”). The objective of the present paper is to deepen the investigation of such mean-field BSDEs by studying them in a more general framework, with general coefficient, and to discuss comparison results for them. In a second step we are interested in Partial Differential Equations (PDE) whose solutions can be stochastically interpreted in terms of mean-field BSDEs. For this we study a mean-field BSDE in a Markovian framework, associated with a McKean–Vlasov forward equation. By combining classical BSDE methods, in particular that of “backward semigroups” introduced by Peng [S. Peng, J. Yan, S. Peng, S. Fang, L. Wu (Eds.), in: BSDE and Stochastic Optimizations; Topics in Stochastic Analysis, Science Press, Beijing (1997) (Chapter 2) (in Chinese)], with specific arguments for mean-field BSDEs, we prove that this mean-field BSDE gives the viscosity solution of a nonlocal PDE. The uniqueness of this viscosity solution is obtained for the space of continuous functions with polynomial growth. With the help of an example it is shown that for the nonlocal PDEs associated with mean-field BSDEs one cannot expect to have uniqueness in a larger space of continuous functions.

By replacing the final condition for backward stochastic differential equations (in short: BSDEs) by a stationarity condition on the solution process we introduce a new class of BSDEs. In a natural manner we associate to such BSDEs the periodic solution of second order partial differential equations with periodic structure.  In this paper we study a class of one-dimensional, degenerate, semilinear backward stochastic partial differential equations (BSPDEs, for short) of parabolic type. By establishing some new a priori estimates for both linear and semilinear BSPDEs, we show that the regularity and uniform boundedness of the adapted solution to the semilinear BSPDE can be determined by those of the coefficients, a special feature that one usually does not expect from a stochastic differential equation. The proof follows the idea of the so-called bootstrap method, which enables us to analyze each of the derivatives of the solution under consideration. Some related results, including some comparison theorems of the adapted solutions for semilinear BSPDEs, as well as a nonlinear stochastic Feynman-Kac formula, are also given. In this paper we establish lower and upper Gaussian bounds for the solutions to the heat and wave equations driven by an additive Gaussian noise, using the techniques of Malliavin calculus and recent density estimates obtained by Nourdin and Viens in [17]. In particular, we deal with the one-dimensional stochastic heat equation in [0, 1] driven by the space-time white noise, and the stochastic heat and wave equations in RdRd (d≥1d1 and d≤3d3, respectively) driven by a Gaussian noise which is white in time and has a general spatially homogeneous correlation.

In this paper we study the well-posedness and regularity of the adapted solutions to a class of linear, degenerate backward stochastic partial differential equations (BSPDE, for short). We establish new a priori estimates for the adapted solutions to BSPDEs in a general setting, based on which the existence, uniqueness, and regularity of adapted solutions are obtained. Also, we prove some comparison theorems and discuss their possible applications in mathematical finance. Received: 24 September 1997 / Revised version: 3 June 1998  相似文献

In this paper, we study mean-field backward stochastic differential equations driven by G-Brownian motion (G-BSDEs). We first obtain the existence and uniqueness theorem of these equations. In fact, we can obtain local solutions by constructing Picard contraction mapping for Y term on small interval, and the global solution can be obtained through backward iteration of local solutions. Then, a comparison theorem for this type of mean-field G-BSDE is derived. Furthermore, we establish the connection of this mean-field G-BSDE and a nonlocal partial differential equation. Finally, we give an application of mean-field G-BSDE in stochastic differential utility model.

In the present paper, we study conditions under which the solutions of a backward stochastic differential equation remains in a given set of constraints. This property is the so-called “viability property”. In a separate section, this condition is translated to a class of partial differential equations. The theory of stochastic averaging principle provides an effective approach for the qualitative analysis of stochastic systems with different time-scales and is relatively mature for stochastic ordinary differential equations. In this paper, we study the averaging principle for a class of stochastic partial differential equations with two separated time scales driven by scalar noises. Under suitable assumptions it is shown that the slow component strongly converges to the solution of the corresponding averaged equation.

An optimal control problem for a controlled backward stochastic partial differential equation in the abstract evolution form with a Bolza type performance functional is considered. The control domain is not assumed to be convex, and all coefficients of the system are allowed to be random. A variational formula for the functional in a given control process direction is derived, by the Hamiltonian and associated adjoint system. As an application, a global stochastic maximum principle of Pontraygins type for the optimal controls is established.

In this paper, we prove the existence and uniqueness of the solution for a class of backward stochastic partial differential equations (BSPDEs, for short) driven by the Teugels martingales associated with a Lévy process satisfying some moment conditions and by an independent Brownian motion. An example is given to illustrate the theory.

The BMO martingale theory is extensively used to study nonlinear multi-dimensional stochastic equations in ${\mathcal{R}^p}$ ( ${p\in [1,\infty)}$ ) and backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs) in ${\mathcal{R}^p\times \mathcal{H}^p}$ ( ${p\in (1, \infty)}$ ) and in ${\mathcal{R}^\infty\times\overline{L^\infty}^{\rm BMO}}$ , with the coefficients being allowed to be unbounded. In particular, the probabilistic version of Fefferman’s inequality plays a crucial role in the development of our theory, which seems to be new. Several new results are consequently obtained. The particular multi-dimensional linear cases for stochastic differential equations (SDEs) and BSDEs are separately investigated, and the existence and uniqueness of a solution is connected to the property that the elementary solutions-matrix for the associated homogeneous SDE satisfies the reverse Hölder inequality for some suitable exponent p ≥ 1. Finally, some relations are established between Kazamaki’s quadratic critical exponent b(M) of a BMO martingale M and the spectral radius of the stochastic integral operator with respect to M, which lead to a characterization of Kazamaki’s quadratic critical exponent of BMO martingales being infinite.

This paper is concerned with the strong solution to the Cauchy–Dirichlet problem for backward stochastic partial differential equations of parabolic type. Existence and uniqueness theorems are obtained, due to an application of the continuation method under fairly weak conditions on variable coefficients and C 2 domains. The problem is also considered in weighted Sobolev spaces which allow the derivatives of the solutions to blow up near the boundary. As applications, a comparison theorem is obtained and the semi-linear equation is discussed in the C 2 domain.

In this paper, we are interested in solving backward stochastic differential equations (BSDEs for short) under weak assumptions on the data. The first part of the paper is devoted to the development of some new technical aspects of stochastic calculus related to BSDEs. Then we derive a priori estimates and prove existence and uniqueness of solutions in Lp p>1, extending the results of El Karoui et al. (Math. Finance 7(1) (1997) 1) to the case where the monotonicity conditions of Pardoux (Nonlinear Analysis; Differential Equations and Control (Montreal, QC, 1998), Kluwer Academic Publishers, Dordrecht, pp. 503–549) are satisfied. We consider both a fixed and a random time interval. In the last section, we obtain, under an additional assumption, an existence and uniqueness result for BSDEs on a fixed time interval, when the data are only in L1.
