From Scalar to Vector Equilibrium Problems in the Quasimonotone Case   总被引:15,自引:0,他引:15  
In a unified approach, existence results for quasimonotone vector equilibrium problems and quasimonotone (multivalued) vector variational inequality problems are derived from an existence result for a scalar equilibrium problem involving two (rather than one) quasimonotone bifunctions. The results in the vector case are not only obtained in a new way, but they are also stronger versions of earlier existence results.  相似文献

We study the existence of minimizers for a class of noncoercive functionals, representing the strain energy of masonry-like bodies subject to loads that are not “safe” with respect to certain existence conditions estblished in the literature. In this paper, we apply an existence theorem for the variational inclusion problem to study the existence results for the variational intersection problems in Ekeland’s sense and the existence results for some variants of set-valued vector Ekeland variational principles in a complete metric space. Our results contain Ekeland’s variational principle as a special case and our approaches are different to those for any existence theorems for such problems.  相似文献

Some new results on the existence of optimal controls are established for control systems governed by semilinear elliptic or parabolic equations. No Cesari type conditions are assumed. By proving existence theorems and analyzing the Pontryagin maximum principle for optimal relaxed state-control pairs for the corresponding relaxed problems, existence theorems of classical optimal pairs for the original problem are established. To treat the case of a noncompact control set, relaxed controls defined by finitely additive measures are used.  相似文献

Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions of optimization‐related problems, defined on general sets, are established by using topologically‐based structures, without the usual linear structure. First, we prove that the existence of solutions to a variational relation problem is equivalent to the existence of either a KKM‐structure or a connectedness structure, satisfying additionally some verifiable conditions. Then, applying these results, we obtain such full (two‐way) characterizations for the existence of invariant points, solutions of quasiequilibrium problems of the Stampacchia‐Minty type, saddle points, and Nash equilibria for noncooperative games. The main advantages of our scheme with the mentioned two structures are that full characterizations for existence are obtained in a unified way, with no convexity assumptions, and also that one has flexibility to choose a suitable structure in investigations. (This flexibility is decisive when the natural underlying structure of the given problem is scarcely employed.)  相似文献

This paper deals with the nonlocal problems for a class of nonlinear first-order evolution inclusions. Some existence results are established for the cases of a convex and of a nonconvex valued perturbation terms. Also, the existence of extremal solutions and a strong relaxation theorem are obtained. Subsequently a nonlinear hyperbolic optimal control problem is considered and the existence theorems based on the proven results are obtained. Then the nonlinear version of “bang–bang” principle for control systems is given as well by utilizing the relaxation theorem.  相似文献

This paper investigates the existence of Bayesian estimates for polychotomous quantal response models using a uniform improper prior distribution on the regression parameters. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the propriety of the posterior distribution with a general link function are established. In addition, the sufficient conditions for the existence of the posterior moments and the posterior moment generating function are obtained. It is also found that the propriety guarantees the existence of the maximum likelihood estimate.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the existence and uniqueness of a solution for a class of fourth-order elliptic boundary value problems. The existence of a solution is proven by the method of upper and lower solutions without any monotone nondecreasing or nonincreasing property of the nonlinear function. Sufficient conditions for the uniqueness of a solution and some techniques for the construction of upper and lower solutions are given. All the existence and uniqueness results are directly applicable to fourth-order two-point boundary value problems.

The existence, nonexistence and multiplicity of positive radially symmetric solutions to a class of Schrödinger–Poisson type systems with critical nonlocal term are studied with variational methods. The existence of both the ground state solution and mountain pass type solutions are proved. It is shown that the parameter ranges of existence and nonexistence of positive solutions for the critical nonlocal case are completely different from the ones for the subcritical nonlocal system.  相似文献

In this survey, a new minimax inequality and one equivalent geometricform are proved. Next, a theorem concerning the existence of maximalelements for an LC-majorized correspondence is obtained.By the maximal element theorem, existence theorems of equilibrium point fora noncompact one-person game and for a noncompact qualitative game withLC-majorized correspondences are given. Using the lastresult and employing 'approximation approach', we prove theexistence of equilibria for abstract economies in which the constraintcorrespondence is lower (upper) semicontinuous instead of having lower(upper) open sections or open graphs in infinite-dimensional topologicalspaces. Then, as the applications, the existence theorems of solutions forthe quasi-variational inequalities and generalized quasi-variationalinequalities for noncompact cases are also proven. Finally, with theapplications of quasi-variational inequalities, the existence theorems ofNash equilibrium of constrained games with noncompact are given. In this paper, we study various types of variational relation problems. We establish the existence of solutions for these types of problems and point out some important particular cases and their applications. We also show that some existence theorems of solution for these types of problems and some existence theorems of variational inclusion problems are equivalent to a generalized KKM theorem. Applying our results we obtain existence theorems of common fixed point, generalized maximal element theorems, a generalized coincidence theorems and a section theorem.  相似文献

We give a short elementary proof of the Daniell-Kolmogorov existence theorem for probability measures on product spaces, assuming nothing but the existence of Lebesgue measure on the unit interval. Related approaches are used to prove the existence of regular conditional distributions directly on Polish spaces, and to establish the existence of random measures and sets with given finite-dimensional distributions or hitting probabilities, respectively.  相似文献
