Extraordinary optical transmission through metallic gratings is a well established effect based on the collective resonance of corrugated screens. Being based on plasmonic resonances, its bandwidth is inherently narrow, in particular, for thick screens and narrow apertures. We introduce here a different mechanism to achieve total transmission through an otherwise opaque screen, based on an ultrabroadband tunneling that can span from dc to the visible range at a given incidence angle. This phenomenon effectively represents the equivalent of Brewster transmission for plasmonic and opaque screens.  相似文献

A fiber-optic delay line based on the successive transmission of a modulated optical signal through all seven cores of an optical fiber has been fabricated. The total loss of the signal after the transmission through all cores is less than 12 dB. The group delay in the range of modulation frequencies of 6 to 12GHz is found to be 5.62 μs for a fiber as short as 160 m.  相似文献

 气动热环境下光学头罩由于受气动热效应作用,其形状和光学性质都将发生改变,从而影响头罩内的光传输。建立气动光学头罩有限元分析模型,根据热光效应和弹光效应理论,对头罩的折射率场进行数值计算,采用四阶龙格-库塔法编制光线追迹程序对气动光学头罩内红外辐射光线传输进行了数值仿真,得到了头罩光学系统出射波面波像差和调制传递函数。研究结果表明:气动热环境下热光效应对光学头罩光传输的影响远比弹光效应大,且气动光学头罩成像质量受到气动热效应的影响严重下降,为了提高高速飞行器的制导精度,不能忽视气动热对头罩光传输的影响。  相似文献

An approach for the cryptographic security enhancement of encryption is proposed and analyzed. The enhancement is based on the employment of a coding scheme and degradation of the ciphertext. From the perspective of the legitimate parties that share a secret key, the degradation appears as a transmission of the ciphertext through a binary erasure channel. On the other hand, from the perspective of an attacker the degradation appears as a transmission of the ciphertext over a binary deletion channel. Cryptographic security enhancement is analyzed based on the capacity of the related binary deletion channel. An illustrative implemementation framework is pointed out.  相似文献

The problem of transmission of CO2 laser radiation through hollow fibers and waveguides was studied theoretically and confirmed experimentally. The transmission of the laser radiation through metal and metal-dielectric tubes was measured and compared with the theoretical data based on a ray model solution. This makes possible the investigation of the transmission of the CO2 radiation through waveguides when the internal wall is covered with a metal or a metal- dielectric film. It was shown theoretically and proved experimentally that the transmission of the CO2 radiation is possible even through bent waveguides.  相似文献

运用基于矩量法(method of moment,MoM)结合基尔霍夫近似(Kirchhoff approximation,KA)的混合算法研究一维带限Weierstrass分形分层介质粗糙面的电磁波透射问题.在混合算法中将上层粗糙面和下层粗糙面分别划分到MoM区域和KA区域,数值计算得到透射系数随透射波的散射角的变化,讨论粗糙面分维数、高度起伏均方根、底层介质介电常数、中间层介质介电常数和厚度、入射波频率对透射系数的影响,结果表明上层粗糙面参数对透射系数有显著影响,而下层粗糙面参数对透射系数影响较小.  相似文献

The spin dependent electron transmission through a non-magnetic III-V semiconductor symmetric well is studied theoretically so as to investigate the output transmission current polarization at zero magnetic field. Transparency of electron transmission is calculated as a function of electron energy as well as the well width, within the one electron band approximation along with the spin-orbit interaction. Enhanced spin-polarized resonant tunneling in the heterostructure due to Dresselhaus and Rashba spin-orbit coupling induced splitting of the resonant level is observed. We predict that a spin-polarized current spontaneously emerges in this heterostructure. This effect could be employed in the fabrication of spin filters, spin injectors and detectors based on non-magnetic semiconductors.  相似文献

The optical transmission of an individual subwavelength aperture in a multilayered metal film is shown to be enhanced compared with that of a homogeneous metal film. The enhancement effect is due to the light coupling to surface plasmon excitation facilitated by a film periodicity. The sensitivity of the transmission to the dielectric filling of the aperture is also shown. The latter effect can be used to switch and control the transmittance. Devices based on enhanced transmission through nanosized apertures can find applications in high-density optical and magneto-optical data storage, high-resolution microscopy, and photolithography, where nanoscale light sources with high-optical-power throughput are required, as well as in sensor applications.  相似文献

针对多通道串口数据的采集与传输现实需要,提出了一种基于FPGA的多通道串口数据采集方案。通过对多路串口数据的同时采集、缓冲及打包的数据流处理思想,采用FPAG+多串口+USB的硬件框架及总线不同速率的传输算法,实现了多路串口数据的采集与传输。为了验证设计的有效性,设计了6路串口同时传输的试验方案,最终通过试验满足预期要求,达到多路串口同时采集及传输的目的。  相似文献

A simple theory is described for the transmission of low frequency sound through the walls of rectangular ducts, particularly those in air conditioning systems. The model is based on a coupled acoustic/structural wave system, and it is assumed that the duct radiates in the same way as a finite-length line source incorporating a single travelling wave. Measurements of wall transmission loss on two types of duct system are compared to theoretical predictions, and good agreement is obtained within the frequency range of validity of the theory. It is concluded that the present approach should give reliable estimates of noise transmission in practical situations.  相似文献

A temperature independent 80-Gb/s 100-km transmission system is demonstrated with the use of spectral phase modulation-based tunable dispersion compensator (TDC). The principle of dispersion compensation based on spectral phase modulation as well as the relationship between spectral phase modulation function and group velocity dispersion (GVD) are theoretically studied. TDC based on spectral phase modulation is implemented. The performance of 80-Gb/s transmission system is experimentally evaluated. The nonlinear relationship between temperature and temperature-induced dispersion fluctuations is demonstrated through the asymmetric temperature-induced power penalty without dispersion compensation. With respect to the low temperature area, the temperature-induced dispersion fluctuations are smaller than those in the high temperature area. By using the proposed TDC, temperature independent 80-Gb/s transmission is successfully demonstrated under a temperature range of -20 - 60 ?C with a power penalty of less than 0.8 dB.  相似文献

We investigate the efficiency of transmission through photonic crystal Y junctions and show the importance of matching mode symmetries. Furthermore, we show that by adding tuning holes to the input waveguide it is possible to achieve almost perfect impedance matching, leading ideally to unitary transmission through the junction. The model system is based on a triangular photonic lattice of holes in dielectrics to reflect experimental reality.  相似文献

In this paper, we explore the electromagnetic transmission through a vertical metallic nanoslit with a horizontal microcavity. The introduction of microcavity gives rise to the changes of slit transmission spectrum in the number and amplitude of transmission peak and dip, owing to the electromagnetic coupling between slit and microcavity. The transmission through the slit with microcavity strongly depends on whether the isolated slit is in resonance or not, and the microcavity resonance is an additional factor that influences the transmission. The transmission spectrum can be adjusted by changing the opening position of slit, and the slit depth, the width and depth of microcavity. Our results are analysed and discussed from the view of Fano resonance. These results may be of value in tuning electromagnetic wave in subwavelength optics and designing plasmonic devices based on composite metallic nanoslit structures.  相似文献

Nano-antennas in functional plasmonic applications require high near-field optical power transmission. In this study, a model is developed to compute the near-field optical power transmission in the vicinity of a nano-antenna. To increase the near-field optical power transmission from a nano-antenna, a tightly focused beam of light is utilized to illuminate a metallic nano-antenna. The modeling and simulation of these structures is performed using 3-D finite element method based full-wave solutions of Maxwell’s equations. Using the optical power transmission model, the interaction of a focused beam of light with plasmonic nano-antennas is investigated. In addition, the tightly focused beam of light is passed through a band-pass filter to identify the effect of various regions of the angular spectrum to the near-field radiation of a dipole nano-antenna. An extensive parametric study is performed to quantify the effects of various parameters on the transmission efficiency of dipole nano-antennas, including length, thickness, width, and the composition of the antenna, as well as the wavelength and half-beam angle of incident light. An optimal dipole nano-antenna geometry is identified based on the parameter studies in this work. In addition, the results of this study show the interaction of the optimized dipole nano-antenna with a magnetic recording medium when it is illuminated with a focused beam of light.  相似文献

We develop a method for transmission of stochastic fields through turbulent media (atmosphere, ocean, biotissues) containing randomly distributed particles. The method is based on the angular spectrum representation of stochastic, statistically stationary, scalar fields, the Rytov perturbation series for propagation in weakly fluctuating media, and the first Born approximation for weak scattering from particulate media. The results for transmission of the deterministic (laser) field may be obtained from our general results as a limiting case.  相似文献

We introduce a procedure to generate scattering states which display trajectorylike wave function patterns in wave transport through complex scatterers. These deterministic scattering states feature the dual property of being eigenstates to the Wigner-Smith time-delay matrix Q and to the transmission matrix t(?)t with classical (noiseless) transmission eigenvalues close to 0 or 1. Our procedure to create such beamlike states is based solely on the scattering matrix and successfully tested numerically for regular, chaotic, and disordered cavities. These results pave the way for the experimental realization of highly collimated wave fronts in transport through complex media with possible applications such as secure and low-power communication.  相似文献

利用太赫兹时域光谱技术,研究了亚波长金属块阵列的太赫兹透射光谱特性及金属阵列结构的周期、金属块尺寸等因素对太赫兹透射特性的影响.结合时域有限差分方法,对实验结果进行了数值模拟,并分析了影响太赫兹透射的因素.结果表明:亚波长金属块阵列结构中,THz波的透射极小的位置由金属块的尺寸和周期决定,其透射谷的半高宽随其周期的增大而减小;透射峰值的位置由阵列的周期结构决定,其频率随周期的增加而减小;亚波长金属块结构的透射极小来源于金属块表面局域化电场等离子体的本征频率反射,该局域化电场与金属块结构密切相关,通过改变金属块结构,可以改变其表面电场分布与局域化.研究结果为研制太赫兹波段带阻滤波器提供了有益的参考.  相似文献

Transmission fluctuation spectrometry (TFS) is being developed as a new method of particle size analysis. In the early approaches, the particle suspension was illuminated by one beam with finite beam diameter and the transmission signals underwent a process with variable spatial and/or temporal averaging and a subsequent nonlinear operation. The transmission fluctuations were obtained as a spectrum which included the information on particle size distribution and particle concentration. A new approach presented here employs two narrow parallel beams. While changing the beam separation, the transmission fluctuations of these two beams are expressed in terms of the expectancy of the transmission product (ETP). The analytical expression of the ETP through a monolayer is derived and the ETP of a 3‐dimensional suspension is formulated based on the layer model. The deviation between the transition functions of 3‐dimensional suspensions and monolayers is found to be affected by effects from particle overlapping and monolayer structure.  相似文献
