合成了一系列具有光电活性的星状共轭分子, 并在端基上引入了不同个数或不同类型的氢键基团. 包括端基上分别带有1, 2和3个羧酸基团的星状芴分子, 以及结构更为刚性的3个端基均为2,4-二胺基三嗪环的三聚茚分子, 以此形成一个系列的分子结构, 便于进行系统性研究. 同时我们对这些星状分子进行了紫外和荧光光谱的表征, 发现星状核和长烷基侧链能有效地阻止分子间π-π堆积和增大固态薄膜的无定形态. 最终这些功能性分子将有望由氢键诱导在石墨或者金属表面形成有序的自组装结构.  相似文献

[structure: see text] A convenient approach to a series of star-shaped pi-conjugated organic materials with oligofluorenes (OF) as the branches and a benzene ring as the core has been developed. The optical properties of these materials are liable to be tuned by introduction of more fluorene rings. The investigation of the structure-property relationship of these materials has indicated differences between star-shaped oligofluorenes and linear oligofluorenes, as well as polyfluorenes.  相似文献

We present systematic, theoretical investigations on structure-property correlations in polyfluorenes (PFs) derived mainly from the chain morphology, oligomer length, and chemical substitutent. Both the vertical absorptions and the vibrational contributions to electronic absorption and fluorescence spectra have been calculated. The effect of temperature on the nature of photoexcitations of PFs has been demonstrated. It is found that the vibronic (electronic and vibrational) structures of PFs are morphology-dependent. beta-phase oligofluorenes (beta-(FL)(n)) and ladder-type poly(p-phenylene) (LPPP) oligomers show a red shift compared to the spectra of alpha-(FL)(n). The asymmetry of the absorption and fluorescence spectra in alpha-(FL)(n) and the fluorenone (FLO) defect oligofluorenes alpha-(FL)(n)(-)(m)(FLO)(m) is significantly more pronounced than that in planarized beta-(FL)(n) and LPPP oligomers. By properly taking into account the anharmonic torsion potentials resulting from the strong electronic and nuclear coupling in the oligofluorenes, we have reasonably reproduced the experimentally observed spectroscopic features. The low-energy on-chain chemical defect sites such as FLO units act as charge-trapping sites for singlet excitations, are the predominantly lighting-emitting species, and thus alter the blue light-emitting properties of PFs whereas the blue-light-emitting properties of PFs are hardly influenced by the hole-transporting molecules. The optical properties of PFs have been predicted by the finite-size calculations. Energy gaps of PFs are estimated by extrapolations from excitation energies of oligofluorenes up to 21 FL units.  相似文献

A series of star-shaped molecules with benzene core and naphthalimides derivatives end groups have been designed to explore their optical,electronic,and charge transport properties as charge transport and/or luminescent materials for organic light-emitting diodes(OLEDs). The frontier molecular orbitals(FMOs) analysis has turned out that the vertical electronic transitions of absorption and emission are characterized as intramolecular charge transfer(ICT). The calculated results show that the optical and electronic properties of star-shaped molecules are affected by the substituent groups in N-position of 1,8-naphthalimide ring. Our results suggest that star-shaped molecules with n-butyl(1),benzene(2),thiophene(3),thiophene S?,S?-dioxide(4),benzo[c][1,2,5]thiadiazole(5),and 2,7a-dihydrobenzo[d]thiazole(6) fragments are expected to be promising candidates for luminescent and electron transport materials for OLEDs. This study should be helpful in further theoretical investigations on such kind of systems and also to the experimental study for charge transport and/or luminescent materials for OLEDs.  相似文献

The electronic structure and optical properties of charged oligofluorenes were studied experimentally and theoretically. Measurements of the optical absorption spectra of charged oligofluorenes in dilute solutions have been performed by using the pulse radiolysis technique. In addition, optical absorption spectra of radical cations and anions in a solid matrix were measured after gamma-irradiation at 77 K. The optical absorption spectra were measured in the range of 440-2100 nm (0.6-2.8 eV) and compared with results from time-dependent density functional theory (TDDFT) calculations. The calculated charge induced deformations and charge distribution do not indicate the occurrence of polaronic effects. The potential energy profiles for rotation around the inter-unit bond show that oligofluorenes are nonplanar in their neutral state, while they tend to more planar structures in their charged state. The optical absorption spectra of charged oligofluorenes are dependent on the angle between neighboring units. TDDFT absorption energies shift to lower values with increasing chain length, which suggests that the charge delocalizes along the oligomer chain.  相似文献

采用密度泛函理论方法对以四硫富瓦烯(TTF)为端基、 苯乙烯为桥的5种不同中心核(富电子核: 氮、 三聚咔唑及三聚吲哚; 缺电子核: 三嗪及三聚喹喔啉)构成的星型三支D-π-A型化合物的几何结构、 电子吸收光谱及电荷转移性质进行了研究. 结果表明, 通过改变中心核的类型, 可有效调节LUMO能级, 改变能隙的大小. 电荷差分密度及跃迁密度矩阵分析结果表明, 两支内的TTF端基与核到共轭桥链的电荷转移跃迁及少量的π→π*跃迁对高能吸收带有贡献; 缺电子核化合物的低能吸收峰主要是TTF端基到桥链和中心核的电荷转移跃迁贡献, 不同于富电子核化合物明显的TTF贡献的支内定域电荷转移跃迁. 重组能计算表明, 除化合物NST(中心核为氮)外, 其余4个化合物的空穴重组能(λh)与电子重组能(λe)相当, 中心核为三聚咔唑的化合物CST重组能相对较小.  相似文献

Time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT) is applied to the UV-vis absorption and circular dichroism (CD) spectra of a series of transition metals (M=Ru, Zn, Fe) complexed with an enantiopure hemicage ligand, (-)-(5R,5'R,5' 'R,7R,7'R,7' 'R,8S,8'S,8' 'S)-8,8',8' '-[(2,4,6-trimethyl-1,3,5-benzenetriyl)tris(methylene)]tris[5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-6,6-dimethyl-3-(2-pyridinyl)-5,7-methanoisoquinoline (1). The electronic spectra of the Ru and Fe complexes contain two regions, one featuring low-energy 1MLCT transitions and the other higher energy 1LC transitions; the Zn analog possesses only the 1LC transitions due to its filled 3d shell. TD-DFT is able to identify correctly these transitions in the spectra, as well as to reproduce experimental spectra accurately, with regard to both the transition energies and the relative intensities of the different transitions. Additionally, it is possible to use TD-DFT to assign the absolute configuration at the metal center with high confidence by matching the experimental and calculated spectra.  相似文献

The electronic structure and the optical response of free catechol, [Ti(cat)(3)](2-) complex, and catechol bound to TiO(2) nanoclusters have been analysed using time dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT) performing calculations both in real time and frequency domains. Both approaches lead to similar results providing the basis sets and functionals are similar. For all cases, the simulated spectra agree well with the experimental ones. For the adsorption systems, the spectra show a band at 4.7 eV associated to intramolecular catechol π→π* transitions, and low energy bands corresponding to transitions from catechol to the cluster with a tail that is red-shifted when the coupling between the dye and the cluster is more effective. Thus, dissociative adsorption modes provide longer tails than the molecular mode. Although the bidentate complex is more stable than the monodentate, the energy difference between both is smaller when the cluster size increases. Small cluster models reproduce the main features of the optical response, however, the (TiO(2))(15) cluster constitutes the minimal size to provide a complete picture. In this case, the conventional TD-DFT (frequency domain) calculations are highly demanding computationally, while real time TD-DFT is more efficient and the calculations become affordable.  相似文献

Star-shaped molecules are of growing interest as organic optoelectronic materials. Here a detailed study of their photophysics using fluorescence depolarisation is reported. Fluorescence depolarisation dynamics are studied in branched oligofluorene-truxene molecules with a truxene core and well-defined three-fold symmetry, and are compared with linear fluorene oligomers. An initial anisotropy value of 0.4 is observed which shows a two-exponential decay with time constants of 500 fs and 3-8 ps in addition to a long-lived component. The femtosecond component is attributed to exciton localisation on one branch of the molecule and its amplitude reduces when the excitation is tuned to the low energy tail of the absorption spectrum. The picosecond component shows a weak dependence on the excitation wavelength and is similar to the calculated rate of the resonant energy transfer of the localised exciton between the branches. These assignments are supported by density-functional theory calculations which show a disorder-induced splitting of the two degenerate excited states. Exciton localisation is much slower than previously reported in other branched molecules which suggests that efficient light-harvesting systems can be designed using oligofluorenes and truxenes as building blocks.  相似文献

We report a joint theoretical-experimental study on the optical properties of 5-N-succinimidyl-2,2'-bithiophene (NS-2T), a prototype system for a new class of biomarkers. Time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT) and approximate coupled-cluster single and doubles (CC2) calculations are performed in the ground and excited states. Theoretical results are compared with absorption, photoluminescence (PL), time-resolved PL, and PL quantum efficiency measurements. The excited state of NS-2T has a larger dipole moment as compared to that of the ground state, explaining the experimental shift of the PL peak in solvents of different polarity, and a smaller intersystem crossing (ISC) rate as compared to that of isolated bithiophene (2T), explaining the increased PL quantum efficiency. We also studied two model systems to describe the effects of the covalent binding of NS-2T to biomolecules and proteins with the epsilon-NH(2) lysine groups. These model systems show optical properties closer to 2T, as the PL quantum efficiency is reduced due to the increased ISC rate. Theoretical calculations and experimental results show that covalent binding of NS-2T to a biomolecule will blue-shift the absorption but not the photoluminescence. CC2 and TD-DFT can very well describe the absorption and photoluminescence energies of all three systems, but the presence of several charge-transfer transitions in the TD-DFT spectrum of NS-2T required the use of a correlated method to validate the TD-DFT results.  相似文献

取代的卟啉类衍生物在气敏传感器方面具有广泛的应用前景.本文采用了密度泛函理论(DFT)和含时密度泛函理论(TD-DFT)研究了四种不同取代基的卟啉衍生物(meso位四硝基苯基/四氨基苯基卟啉(NO2PP,NH2PP)及其相应的锌金属卟啉衍生物(NO2ZnPP,NH2ZnPP))的紫外和近紫外光谱特征.利用两种不同的交换相关泛函(广义梯度近似泛函(PBE)和杂化密度泛函(B3LYP))优化了上述四种物质的结构,并应用TD-DFT计算了相应的电子激发能量和振动强度.结果表明,取代卟啉的吸收光谱与大量的电子跃迁有关;与B3LYP泛函预测的光谱相比,PBE泛函所得B带以及Q带的波长位置与实验值更为接近.另外,计算所得硝基取代基卟啉的B带相对于氨基取代基卟啉的B带发生了红移,这与实验现象也保持一致.由于卟啉衍生物的三重激发态在电子转移中有很重要的应用,因此在PBE/6-31G(d)水平上计算了四种物质的最低三重激发态能量,分别为1.426、1.469、1.608和1.581eV.  相似文献

Ruthenium tris-bipyridine dyes containing oligophenyleneethynylene (OPE) rigid rod linker groups ([Ru(bpy)3]2+, [Ru(bpy)2bpy-E-Ipa]2+, [Ru(bpy)2bpy-E-Ph-E-Ipa]2+, and [Ru(bpy)2bpy-E-Bco-E-Ipa]2+, where bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine, E = ethynylene, Ph = p-phenylene, Bco = bicyclo[2.2.2]octylene, and Ipa = isophthalic acid) have been investigated using DFT and TD-DFT calculations to elucidate the influence of the rigid rod on their optoelectronic properties. Experimentally observed differences in the optical absorption for the different complexes are discussed on the basis of TD-DFT simulated absorption spectra. A comparison of the calculated optoelectronic properties of [Ru(bpy)2bpy-E-Ph-E-Ipa]2+ in different chemical environments, that is, in different solvents and with or without counter ions, suggests that both the absorption spectra and the redox properties of the dyes with OPE rods are sensitive to the environment. The calculations show that spurious low-energy charge-transfer excitations present in the TD-DFT calculations of the extended systems in vacuum are removed when the environment is included in the calculations.  相似文献

A combination of cyclic voltammetry, UV-vis-NIR spectroelectrochemistry, time-dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT), and Z-scan measurements employing a modified optically transparent thin-layer electrochemical (OTTLE) cell has been used to identify and assign intense transitions of metal alkynyl complexes at technologically important wavelengths in the oxidized state and to utilize these transitions to demonstrate a facile electrochromic switching of optical nonlinearity. Cyclic voltammetric data for the ruthenium(II) complexes trans-[RuXY(dppe)(2)] [dppe = 1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane, X = Cl, Y = Cl (1), Ctbd1;CPh (2), 4-Ctbd1;CC(6)H(4)Ctbd1;CPh (3); X = Ctbd1;CPh, Y = Ctbd1;CPh (4), 4-Ctbd1;CC(6)H(4)Ctbd1;CPh (5)] show a quasi-reversible oxidation at 0.50-0.60 V (with respect to ferrocene/ferrocenium 0.56 V), which is assigned to the Ru(II/III) couple. The ruthenium(III) complex cations trans-[RuXY(dppe)(2)](+) were obtained by the in situ oxidation of complexes 1-5 using an OTTLE cell. The UV-vis-NIR optical spectra of 1(+)-5(+) contain a low-energy band in the near-IR region ( approximately 8000-16 000 cm(-)(1)), in contrast to 1-5, which are optically transparent at wavelengths < 22 000 cm(-)(1). TD-DFT calculations have been applied to model systems trans-[RuXY(PH(3))(4)] [X = Cl, Y = Cl, Ctbd1;CPh, or 4-Ctbd1;CC(6)H(4)Ctbd1;CPh; X = Ctbd1;CPh, Y = Ctbd1;CPh or 4-Ctbd1;CC(6)H(4)Ctbd1;CPh] to rationalize the optical spectra of 1-5 and 1(+)-5(+). The important low-energy bands in the electronic spectra of 1(+)-5(+) are assigned to the promotion of an electron from either a chloride p orbital or an ethynyl p orbital to the partially occupied HOMO. These absorption bands have been utilized to demonstrate a facile switching of cubic nonlinear optical (NLO) properties at 12 500 cm(-)(1) (corresponding to the wavelength of maximum transmission in biological materials such as tissue) using the OTTLE cell, the first electrochromic switching of molecular nonlinear refraction and absorption, and the first switching of optical nonlinearity using an electrochemical cell.  相似文献

使用含时密度泛函理论(TDDFT)B3LYP方法计算了IB, IIB, VIIIB过渡金属与8-羟基喹啉络合(MQ)后, 配合物的电子光谱以及二阶非线性光学性质. 结果表明, 掺杂过渡金属后, 形成络合物的能隙值减小100~150 kJ/mol, 最大吸收波长红移150~200 nm左右. 电子从基态到激发态的跃迁主要为p→p*, n→p*跃迁, 属于LLCT, MLCT过程. IB的络合物MQ以及VIIIB的络合物MQ3表现出良好的非线性光学性质.  相似文献

We present optical absorption spectra in the UV-visible range (1.6 eV < ?ω < 5.5 eV) of mass selected neutral copper clusters Cu(n)(n = 1-9) embedded in a solid neon matrix at 7 K. The atom and the dimer have already been measured in neon matrices, while the absorption spectra for sizes between Cu(3) and Cu(9) are entirely (n = 6-9) or in great part new. They show a higher complexity and a larger number of transitions distributed over the whole energy range compared to similar sizes of silver clusters. The experimental spectra are compared to the time dependent density functional theory (TD-DFT) implemented in the TURBOMOLE package. The analysis indicates that for energies larger than 3 eV the transitions are mainly issued from d-type states; however, the TD-DFT scheme does not reproduce well the detailed structure of the absorption spectra. Below 3 eV the agreement for transitions issued from s-type states is better.  相似文献

The photochemical properties of homo- and heterometallic molybdate-based Lindqvist polyoxometalate clusters are investigated in a comparative study and it is shown that vanadium substitution can be used as a facile synthetic tool to optimize the visible light absorption and photocatalytic activity of the cluster. The mono-vanadium substituted unit, [VMo(5)O(19)](3-) shows light absorption up to 480 nm whereas the light absorption of the molybdate analogue [Mo(6)O(19)](2-) is mainly in the UV region below 400 nm. The electronic absorption properties of both clusters are further investigated using TD-DFT calculations which show that vanadium incorporation leads to the formation of low-energy O → V LMCT transitions. In comparative photochemical dye decomposition test reactions under UV and Vis irradiation, a higher reactivity is observed for [VMo(5)O(19)](3-) together with turnover numbers of more than 1600. In addition it is shown that under anaerobic conditions, the photoreaction proceeds faster than in the presence of oxygen, suggesting that oxygen acts as a quencher in one of the photoredox steps.  相似文献

This paper describes the strategy toward novel monodisperse, well-defined, star-shaped oligofluorenes with a central truxene core and from monofluorene to quaterfluorene arms. Introduction of solubilizing n-hexyl groups at both fluorene and truxene moieties results in highly soluble, intrinsically two-dimensional nanosized macromolecules T1-T4. The radius for the largest oligomer of ca. 3.9 nm represents one of the largest known star-shaped conjugated systems. Cyclic voltammetry experiments reveal reversible or quasi-reversible oxidation and reduction processes (Eox = +0.74 to 0.80 V, Ered = -2.66 to 2.80 eV vs Fc/Fc+), demonstrating excellent electrochemical stability toward both p- and n-doping, while the band gaps of the oligomers are quite high (EgCV = 3.20-3.40 eV). Close band gaps of 3.05-3.29 eV have been estimated from the electron absorption spectra. These star-shaped macromolecules demonstrate good thermal stability (up to 400-420 degrees C) and improved glass transition temperatures with an increase in length of the oligofluorene arms (from Tg = 63 degrees C for T1 to 116 degrees C for T4) and show very efficient blue photoluminescence (lambdaPL = 398-422 nm) in both solution (PhiPL = 70-86%) and solid state (PhiPL = 43-60%). Spectroelectrochemical experiments reveal that compounds T1-T4 are stable electrochromic systems which change their color reversibly from colorless in the neutral state (approximately 340-400 nm) to colored (from red to purple color; approximately 500-600 nm) in the oxidized state.  相似文献

The electronic spectrum of the CUO molecule was investigated with the IHFSCC-SD (intermediate Hamiltonian Fock-space coupled cluster with singles and doubles) method and with TD-DFT (time-dependent density functional theory) employing the PBE and PBE0 exchange-correlation functionals. The importance of both spin-orbit coupling and correlation effects on the low-lying excited-states of this molecule are analyzed and discussed. Noble gas matrix effects on the energy ordering and vibrational frequencies of the lowest electronic states of the CUO molecule were investigated with density functional theory (DFT) and TD-DFT in a supermolecular as well as a frozen density embedding (FDE) subsystem approach. This data is used to test the suitability of the FDE approach to model the influence of different matrices on the vertical electronic transitions of this molecule. The most suitable potential was chosen to perform relativistic wave function theory in density functional theory calculations to study the vertical electronic spectra of the CUO and CUONg(4) with the IHFSCC-SD method.  相似文献

非富勒烯太阳能电池目前已经成为有机太阳能电池的研究热点,大量的共轭电子受体分子被开发,并成功应用到高性能光伏器件中。共轭分子作为非富勒烯电子受体,需要综合考虑吸收、能级、电子传输以及结晶性等,其中宽吸收光谱可以提高对太阳光谱的利用,是分子设计中重要因素之一。本工作中,我们设计一种新型电子受体分子,以卟啉为核、萘酰亚胺为端基以及炔为桥连基团。这种新型分子具有近红外的吸收光谱以及合适的能级。将一种具有吸收互补的共轭聚合物为电子给体,星型分子为电子受体应用到电池的活性层中,我们获得了1.8%的能量转换效率,电池的光谱响应为300–900 nm。实验结果证明了这种以卟啉为核的分子设计在实现近红外吸收的电子受体方面具有重要应用前景。  相似文献
