By the study for the mixing of a charm quark c and a new quark m with the mixing angle θ in an extended standard model, we obtain the theoretical values of Rb and Rc which are fairly accordant with the experimental values of Rbex and Rcex.  相似文献

采用手征σ模型描述核多体系统,考虑真空极化的影响,首先由核物质的饱和性质确定模型参数,进一步研究了强子性质在核介质中的变化。手征σ模型的研究结果给出,核子和ω介子的有效质量随核物质密度的增大而减小,但σ介子的有效质量随密度的增大而增大。这些结果与不满足手征对称性的Walecka模型结果进行了比较。计算中采用的重整化方法会对结果有一定的影响。The modification of hadron masses in nuclear medium is studied by using the chiral sigma model, which is extended to generate the omega meson mass by the sigma condensation in the vacuum in the same way as the nucleon mass. The chiral sigma model provides proper equilibrium properties of nuclear matter. It is shown that the effective masses of both nucleons and omega mesons decrease in nuclear medium, while the effective mass of sigma mesons increases at finite density in the chiral sigma model. The resuits obtained in the chiral sigma model are compared with those obtained in the Walecka model, which includes sigma and omega mesons in a non-chiral fashion.  相似文献

The compact form of the electroweak chiral Lagrangian is a reformulation of its original form and is expressed in terms of chiral rotated electroweak gauge fields, which is crucial for relating the information of underlying theories to the coefficients of the low-energy effective Lagrangian. However the compact form obtained in previous works is not complete. In this letter we add several new chiral invariant terms to it and discuss the contributions of these terms to the original electroweak chiral Lagrangian.  相似文献

The chiral SU(3) quark model is extended by including the vector meson exchanges to describe the short range interactions. The phase shifts of NN scattering are studied in this model. Compared with the results of the chiral SU(3) quark model in which only the pseudo-scalar and scalar chiralfields are considered, the phase shifts of 1 So wave are obviously improved.  相似文献

Based on an analytical technique using a unitary transformation and the variational method, we study the chiral order parameter in the Schwinger model in the lattice formalism with Kogut-Susskind fermions. The fermion condensate (ψψ)fo r any coupling constant and fermion mass are calculated. Chiral symmetry is shown to be broken in the massless limit and good scaling behavior is obtained.  相似文献

The ratio between the anomalous magnetic moments of proton and neutron has recently been suggested to be connected to the ratio of proton momentum fractions carried by the valence quarks inside it. This moment fraction ratio is respectively evaluated by using constituent quark model and chiral quark model in order to check meson cloud effect. Our results show that the meson cloud effect is remarkable to the ratio of the proton momentum fractions, and therefore, this ratio is a sensitive test for the meson cloud effect as well as for the SU(6) symmetry breaking effect.  相似文献

We develop a new framework for the study of the nuclear matter based on the linear sigma model.We introduce a completely new viewpoint on the treatment of the nuclear matter with the inclusion of the pion.We extend the relativistic chiral mean field model by using the similar method in the tensor optimized shell model.We also regulate the pion-nucleon interaction by considering the form-factor and short range repulsion effects.We obtain the equation of state of nuclear matter and study the importance of the pion effect.  相似文献

The possibility of QQqq heavy-light four-quark bound states has been analyzed by means of the chiral SU(3) quark model, where Q is the heavy quark (c or b) and q is the light quark (u, d, or s). We obtain a bound state for the bbnn configuration with quantum number JP=1+,I=0 and for the ccnn (JP=1+,I=0) configuration, which is not bound but slightly above the D*D* threshold (n is u or d quark). Meanwhile, we also conclude that a weakly bound state in bbnn system can also be found without considering the chiral quark interactions between the two light quarks, yet its binding energy is weaker than that with the chiral quark interactions.  相似文献

The analytical forms of the interaction potentials between one pseudo-scalar/vector and one scalar/tensor/axial-vector heavy mesons are deduced based on a chiral quark model. Our results explicitly show the attractive property between the two heavy mesons. Consequently, a series of possible molecular states are obtained. It is expected that our study might shed some light on the popular discussions of the newly observed XYZ states.  相似文献

In a recent paper we derived the free energy or partition function of the N-state chiral Potts model by using the infinite lattice inversion relation method, together with a non-obvious extra symmetry. This gave us three recursion relations for the partition function per site T pq of the infinite lattice. Here we use these recursion relations to obtain the full Riemann surface of T pq . In terms of the t p ,t q variables, it consists of an infinite number of Riemann sheets, each sheet corresponding to a point on a (2N–1)-dimensional lattice (for N>2). The function T pq is meromorphic on this surface: we obtain the orders of all the zeros and poles. For N odd, we show that these orders are determined by the usual inversion and rotation relations (without the extra symmetry), together with a simple linearity ansatz. For N even, this method does not give the orders uniquely, but leaves only [(N+4)/4] parameters to be determined.  相似文献

The new members of the charm-strange family Dsj^*(2317), Dsj(2460), and Ds(2632), which have the surprising properties, are challenging the present models. Many theoretical interpretations have been devoted to this issue. Most authors suggest that they are not the conventional cs^- quark model states, but possibly are four-quark states, molecule states, or mixtures of a P-wave cs^- and a four-quark state. In this work, we follow the four-quark-state picture, and study the masses of cnn^-s^-/css^-s^- states (n is u or d quark) in the chiral SU(3) quark model. The numerical results show that the mass of the mixed four-quark state (cnn^-s^-/css^-s^-) with spin parity j^P : 0^+ might not be Ds (2632). At the same time, we also conclude that Dsj^*(2317) and Dsj(2460) cannot be explained as the pure four-quark state.  相似文献

A study of the generalized global flavor symmetries of the Standard Model is initiated. The presence of nonzero triangle diagrams between the U(3)5 flavor currents and the U ( 1 ) Y $U(1)_Y$ hypercharge current intertwines them in the form of a higher-group which mixes the zero-form flavor symmetries with the one-form magnetic hypercharge symmetry. This higher symmetry structure greatly restricts the possible flavor symmetries that may remain unbroken in any ultraviolet completion that includes magnetic monopoles. In the context of unification, this implies tight constraints on the combinations of fermion species which may be joined into multiplets. Three of four elementary possibilities are reflected in the classic unification models of Georgi–Glashow, S O ( 10 ) $SO(10)$ , and Pati–Salam. The final pattern is realized non-trivially in trinification, which exhibits the sense in which Standard Model Yukawa couplings which violate these flavor symmetries may be thought of as spurions of the higher-group. Such modifications of the ultraviolet flavor symmetries are possible only if new vector-like matter is introduced with masses suppressed from the unification scale by the Yukawa couplings.  相似文献
