We present a study of associated J/ψ+γ production through double pomeron exchange at energies reached at the Fermilab Tevatron.and CERN LHC based on the Ingelman-Schlein model for hard difiactive scattering and the factorization formalism of nonrelativistic QCD for quarkonia production. We find that the process p+p→p +p + J/ψ+γ + X can be used to probe the gluon content of the pomeron and study the nature of hard difiactive factorization breaking.  相似文献

The Pomeron-nucleon coupling vertex is theoretically derived from the fundamental theory of strong interaction QCD. The empirical vertex βγ^μF1 (t) used commonly in diffractive processes with a coupling strength β = 6.0 GeV^-1 is initially obtained from QCD theoretically. Our study not only reproduces the Pomeron-nucleon coupling from QCD but also clearly shows the gluonlc origin and glueball nature of Pomeron, which is a longstanding puzzle. From this investigation, we claim that Pomeron can be regarded as a Reggeized tensor glueball ζ(2230) with quantum numbers of I^GJ^PC = 0+2++. Since the tensor glueball ζ(2230) lies on the Pomeron trajectory αp(t = Mζ^2) = 2, the longstanding puzzle that no physical particle lies on the Pomeron trajectory, αp(t) = 1.08 + 0.20 GeV^-2 .t, seems to be solved.  相似文献

Large pγ charged pion pair produced in Double Diffractive Dissocjation (DDD) process at high energy is studied with double pomeron (IP) exchange mechanism. Using DonnachieLandshoff pomeron model we have calculated the cross-section of the process at the energy interval from ISR to LHC when the rapidity of the charged pions is approximately equal to zero. It is shown that this process is the favorite in experiments which could effectively be used to examine Donnachie-Landshoff pomeron model and provide a possibility to check the value of the suppression coefficient N2.  相似文献

首先强调了在高能强作用软(高强软)过程,特别是在强子散射总截面中,单由Pomeron(IP)交换就渐进地饱和了幺正性条件这件事的重要性.结合对Landshoff和Nachtmann的IP场论模型适当修改,提出了最大非微扰强作用反应假说.与此相关,认为IP由这种反应中得出的一对共轭色八重态胶团组成.通过对修改后的q-q弹性振幅虚部图形的物理内涵的考察,一方面预言了高强软过程中会产生组分胶子,胶球态是由两个对撞的组分胶子熔合所形成.另一方面,通过这里的色胶团单圈图与Gell-mann-Zweig的介子散射时夸克图的对应,论证了IP与胶球态之间存在着Regge极点型的二元性关系.  相似文献

The contributions of the double Pomeron exchange to the J/ψ production inhigh energy p+p(p) collisions are calculated using different models for parton distribution functions inside the Pomeron(P). For the Ingelman-Schlein model in which gluons dominate in partons, the cross sections in high energy increase smoothly with as In2S or InS. The total cross section σ(S) is about 102-103nb in the TeV energies. For the Donnachie-Landshoff model in which the P are considered as something like isoscalar photons with C=+1 the cross section behavior increasing with energy is a little bit complicated. In same energy range, the cross sections are only 1-3nb which are smaller than that of the former case by 2—3 order of magnitude. So, if we assume the parameters of the above models are reliable, then these J/ψ production processes should be a good place for testing these models.  相似文献

基于J/ψ辐射产生胶球态Gb和湮没为e+ē对两过程的中间态和末态都不涉及任何夸克强子而只与强作用的真空性质密切相关这一特性,从另一种角度讨论了这两个过程.利用高能强作用软过程中修改后的pomeron场论模型和相关的最大非微扰强作用反应假定,并考虑到轻的和重的组分夸克在结构上的差异而在模型参数中作出相应的变更后,提出了这两个过程的另一种物理机制,计算了它们的衰变宽度,定出了胶球态与非微扰胶子间的耦合数值,并就此进行了简单的讨论. 关键词: J/ψ衰变 pomeron 非微扰  相似文献

A calculation of the proton structure function F2(x,Q2) is reported with an approximation method that relates the reduced cross section derivative and the F2(x, Q2) scaling violation at low x by using quadratic form for the structure function. This quadratic form approximation method can be used to determine the structure function F2 (x, Q2)from the HERA reduced cross section data taken at low x. This new approach can determine the structure functions F2(x,Q2) with reasonable precision even for low x values which have not been investigated. We observe that the Q2 dependence is quadratic over the full kinematic covered range. To test the validity of our new determined structure functions, wefind the gluon distribution function in the leading order approximation with our new calculation for the structure functions and compare them with the QCD parton distribution functions.  相似文献

Vortices in the N-gap (N ≥ 1) superconductor is studied by Dirac δ function. The topological structure of vortices can be characterized by Brouwer degree and Hopf index, i.e. (βtη1,… , βNηN ). The magnetic flux and circulation of vortices without London approximation in the N-gap superconductor are calculated.
