By applying the strong local nondeterminism of B^α, we prove certain forms of uniform Hausdorff dimension results for the images of B^α when N 〉 αd. In this paper,we consider a class of quadratic maximization problems.For a subclass of the problems,we show that the SDP relaxation approach yields an approximation solution with the ratio is dependent on the data of the problem with α being a uniform lower bound.In light of this new bound,we show that the actual worst-case performance ratio of the SDP relaxation approach (with the triangle inequalities added) is at least α δd if every weight is strictly positive,where δd > 0 is a constant depending on the problem dimension and data. 相似文献

It is proved that if a finite-dimensional Banach space X has the property that all its αn-dimensional subspaces are K-isomorphic,
for some 0 < α < 1 and K ≥ 1, then X is f(α, K)-isomorphic to a Hilbert space, where f(α, K) is cK3/2, if 0 < α < 2/3 and cK2, if 2/3 < α < 1, and where c = c(α) depends on α only.

For numerical computations of multiple solutions of the nonlinear elliptic problemΔu f(u)=0 inΩ, u=0 onΓ, a search-extension method (SEM) was proposed and systematically studied by the authors. This paper shall complete its theoretical analysis. It is assumed that the nonlinearity is non-convex and its solution is isolated, under some conditions the corresponding linearized problem has a unique solution. By use of the compactness of the solution family and the contradiction argument, in general conditions, the high order regularity of the solution u∈H~(1 α),α>0 is proved. Assume that some initial value searched by suitably many eigenbases is already fallen into the neighborhood of the isolated solution, then the optimal error estimates of its nonlinear finite element approximation are shown by the duality argument and continuation method. 相似文献

We define Riesz transforms and conjugate Poisson integrals associated with multi-dimensional Jacobi expansions. Under a slight
restriction on the type parameters, we prove that these operators are bounded in L

, 1 < p < ∞, with constants independent of the dimension. Our tools are suitably defined g-functions and Littlewood-Paley-Stein theory, involving the Jacobi-Poisson semigroup and modifications of it.

We give a combinatorial construction of a one-parameter and a two-parameter family of complete caps in finite projective spaces
over GF(2). As an application of our construction we find, for each α ε[1.89,2], a sequence of complete caps in PG(n,2) whose sizes grow roughly as α

. We also discuss the relevance of our caps to the problem of finding the least dependent caps of a given cardinality in a
given dimension.

In this modules with respect to ∧UГ and then characterize it in terms of the U-resolution dimension of some special injective modules and the property of the functors Ext^i (Ext^i (-, U), U) preserving monomorphisms, which develops a classical result of Auslander.
