This paper focuses on the off-diagonal geometric phase of the thermal state of a two-qubit system under the external magnetic field. The properties of geometric phases of the state in critical and non-critical regions are discussed respectively. The sudden change of structure of degeneracy at the critical point do not affect the geometric phase of the model. Increasing temperature tends to suppress the off-diagonal geometric phase. The relationship between the geometric phase and external magnetic field is also discussed.  相似文献

The dipole blockade effect at laser excitation of mesoscopic ensembles of Rydberg atoms lies in the fact that the excitation of one atom to a Rydberg state blocks the excitation of other atoms due to the shift in the collective energy levels of interacting Rydberg atoms. It is used to obtain the entangled qubit states based on single neutral atoms in optical traps. In this paper, we present our experimental results on the observation of the dipole blockade for mesoscopic ensembles of 1–5 atoms when they are detected by the selective field ionization method. We have investigated the spectra of the three-photon laser excitation 5S1/2 → 5P3/2 → 6S1/2 → nP3/2 of cold Rydberg Rb atoms in a magneto-optical trap. We have found that for mesoscopic ensembles this method allows only a partial dipole blockage to be observed. This is most likely related to the presence of parasitic electric fields reducing the interaction energy of Rydberg atoms, the decrease in the probability of detecting high states, and the strong angular dependence of the interaction energy of Rydberg atoms in a single interaction volume.  相似文献

Geometric phase is investigated for two initially entangled qubits interacting with environment. We find that time-dependent Pancharatnam phase oscillates with almost the same frequency and slight different amplitude. Quantum gates are unitary operators and pure states are denoted by unit vectors in state spaces. A quantum gate (i.e., unitary operator) maps convex combinations of vectors in the closed unit ball of the state space to themselves. On the contrary, whether or not some kinds of convex combinations preserving maps on the closed unit ball of the state space are unitary. In the paper, we devote to giving an answer to the inverse problem.

The geometric phase has become a fundamental concept in many fields of physics since it was revealed.Recently,the study of the geometric phase has attracted considerable attention in the context of quantum phase transition,where the ground state properties of the system experience a dramatic change induced by a variation of an external parameter.In this work,we experimentally measure the ground-state geometric phase of the threespin XY model by utilizing the nuclear magnetic resonance technique.The experimental results indicate that the geometric phase could be used as a fingerprint of the ground-state quantum phase transition of many-body systems.  相似文献

We present a scheme to realize geometric phase-shift gate for two superconducting quantum interference device (SQUID) qubits coupled to a single-mode microwave field. The geometric phase-shift gate operation is performed in two lower flux states, and the excited state [2〉 would not participate in the procedure. The SQUIDs undergo no transitions during the gate operation. Thus, the docoherence due to energy spontaneous emission based on the levels of SQUIDs are suppressed. The gate is insensitive to the cavity decay throughout the operation since the cavity mode is displaced along a circle in the phase space, acquiring a phase conditional upon the two lower flux states of the SQUID qubits, and the cavity mode is still in the original vacuum state. Based on the SQUID qubits interacting with the cavity mode, our proposed approach may open promising prospects for quantum iogic in SQUID-system.  相似文献

In this paper, a scheme is proposed for realization of two-qubit controlled-not gates and teleportation of an entangled state of atom-cavity. In this scheme, applying hyperfine levels of atom, we consider A-type three-level atom interacting resonantly or nonresonantly with cavity field that is prepared in σ- polarized. We present a simple scheme for the probabilistic generation of the $n$-qubit W state of three-level systems in cavity quantum electrodynamics. Once the W state is prepared, it will be insensitive to the spontaneous emission of atoms due to the fact that only the two degenerate ground states of the three-level atoms are involved. The spontaneous evolution from ultracold Rydberg atoms to plasma is investigated in a caesium MOT by using the method of field ionization. The plasma transferred from atoms in different Rydberg states (n = 22-32) are obtained experimentally. Dependence of the threshold time of evolving to plasma and the threshold number of initial Rydberg atoms on the principal quantum number of initial Rydberg states is studied. The experimental results are in agreement with hot-cold Rydberg-Rydberg atom collision ionization theory.  相似文献

标度能谱理论能够简化外场谱及可以经典方法理解原子外场谱而倍受关注。本文报道了用于电场中Rydberg原子常数标度能谱实验研究的装置以及有关的计算机控制、采集及处理系统。该系统对能量E和电场F进行同步控制以保持标度能谱ε=E/F为常数,并成功地得到Rydberg态Sr原子在标度能ε=-3.0时的标度能谱,经过傅里叶变换,获得了电场中Sr原子的电子回归谱。  相似文献
