On Mittag-Leffler functions and related distributions   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The distribution F () = 1 – E (–), 0 < 1; 0 , where E (x) is the Mittag-Leffler function is studied here with respect to its Laplace transform. Its infinite divisibility and geometric infinite divisibility are proved, along with many other properties. Its relation with stable distribution is established. The Mittag-Leffler process is defined and some of its properties are deduced.  相似文献

For a topological category over Set we prove that if a functor T: has a fixed cardinal (i.e. for each object K with card (UK)= we have card (UTK)), then T has a least fixed point, and if T has a successive pair of fixed cardinals and +, then T has a greatest fixed point. This extends results of Adámek and Koubek.Partial financial support of the Grant Agency of the Czech Republic under Grant No. 201/93/0950 is gratefully acknowledged.  相似文献

LetE be a vector lattice of real-valued functions defined on a setX, and (E):={{f1}:fE}. Among others, it is shown that, under some additional assumptions onE, every measure that integrates all functionsfE is (E)--smooth iffX is (E)-complete. An application of this general result to various topological situations yields some new measure-theoretic characterizations of realcompact, Borel-complete andN-compact spaces, respectively.  相似文献

Each matrix representation :G GLn() of a finite Group G over a field induces an action of G on the module n over the polynomial algebra The graded -submodule M() of n generated by the orbit of is studied. A decomposition of M() into generic modules is given. Relations between the numerical invariants of and those of M(), the latter being efficiently computable by Gröbner bases methods, are examined. It is shown that if is multiplicity-free, then the dimensions of the irreducible constituents of can be read off from the Hilbert series of M(Pi;). It is proved that determinantal relations form Gröbner bases for the syzygies on generic matrices with respect to any lexicographic order. Gröbner bases for generic modules are also constructed, and their Hilbert series are derived. Consequently, the Hilbert series of M(Pi;) is obtained for an arbitrary representation.  相似文献

Summary The partial differential fields most suited for the purpose of construction of Galois theory for the family (1) are endowed with the symmetric bilinear form (2iv) and are called -differential fields. In Section 1 are defined certain algebraic notions related to the symmetric bilinear form (2iv) and which are necessary for the construction of any Galois theory. Necessary and sufficient condition for the extension of the domain of the operator (this operator is not a derivation although it commutes with the partial derivations of the -differential field) from an -differential fieldK to a finitely generated -differential extension field is given in Theorem 1.Section 2 defines the notion of -differential mapping as linear mappings which preserve the symmetric bilinear form and commute with the partial derivations. The group properties of the set of -differential mappings are discussed and the Galois correspondence theorems set up for -differential fields.Section 3 sets up the notion of -Liouvillian extensions of -differential fields and briefly discusses the Galois groups associated with these -Liouvillian extension fields.Section 4 points to the procedure for the algebraic characterization of -simple--differential field extensions by elementary solutions of the partial differential equation m =0.  相似文献

Summary This paper studies annihilating properties of operators generated by spherical convolution over the unit sphere 2q of Cq. Its specific aim is to answer the following question: given a complex number , ||1, to determine what functions of L2(2q) have zero average over every section w,q :={ z 2q: <z,w> = } of 2q . Here, <.,.>stands for the usual inner product of Cq.  相似文献

Hecke groups H(q) are the discrete subgroups of generated by S(z) = –(z+ q)–1and T(z) = –1/z. The commutator subgroup of H(q), denoted by H(q), is studied in [2]. It was shown that H(q) is a free group of rank q– 1.Here the extended Hecke groups obtained by adjoining to the generators of H(q) are considered. The commutator subgroup of is shown to be a free product of two finite cyclic groups. Also it is interesting to note that while in the H(q) case, the index of H(q) is changed by q, in the case of this number is either 4 for qodd or 8 for qeven.  相似文献

Conclusions The present paper has been devoted primarily to kinematics. In the next paper the results we have obtained will be used for a realistic calculation of the form factors of the bound state of the n-p system-the deuteron. Two results are of independent interest. First, the inequality of the initial, , and final, , masses of the n-p system and the parametrization (28) result in the appearance of the transition form factor f21 (–), which, generally speaking, makes a contribution to the matrix element pn|j|pn and also to the electrosplitting of the deuteron [15]. Secondly, we have found an admixture of the magnetic form factors of the proton and neutron in the charge form factor of the n-p system. This admixture will also be retained in the charge form factor of the deuteron. This mixing is due to the relativistic spin rotation and may be important in the solution of the problem that is the inverse of that we have been considering-the determination of information about the electromagnetic form factors of the neutron from the known form factors of the deuteron and proton. Since the experimental charge form factor of the neutron is small in magnitude, the calculated value of GEp is very sensitive to theoretical and experimental corrections (see, for example, [16]).M. The purpose of this paper is to investigate some properties of the crossing number (P) of a posetP. We first study the crossing numbers of the product and the lexicographical sum of posets. The results are similar to the dimensions of these posets. Then we consider the problem of what happens to the crossing number when a point is taken away from a poset. We show that ifP is a poset such that P and (P–)1, then 1/2 (P)(P–)(P). We don't know yet how to improve the lower bound. We also determine the crossing numbers of some subposets of the Boolean latticeB n which consist of some specified ranks. Finally we show that n is crossing critical where n is the subposet ofB n which is restricted to rank 1, rankn–1 and middle rank(s). Some open problems are raised at the end of this paper.  相似文献

We study the normalized elliptic genera (X)=(X)/ k/2 for 4k-dimensional homogeneous spin manifolds X and show that they are constant as modular functions. The basic tool is a reduction formula relating (X) to that of the self-intersection of the fixed point set of an involution on X. When (X) is a constant it equals the signature of X. We derive a general formula for sign(G/H), GH compact Lie groups, and determine its value in some cases by making use of the theory of involutions in compact Lie groups.Dedicated to Jacques Tits on the occasion of his sixtieth birthday  相似文献

Let X be a Banach space with a countable unconditional basis (e.g., X=2), X open. We show that is pseudoconvex if and only if for each affine complex line L in X the sheaf cohomology group H 1 (,I) vanishes, where I is the ideal sheaf of all holomorphic functions on that vanish on L. We also give an example that the condition H q (,)=0 for all q1 unlike in finite dimensions does not imply the pseudoconvexity of . Lastly, we prove an interpolation result. The equation 2–(3+a 22+a 1+a 0)=0, which is encountered in problems of mechanics, is considered in the work. It has two singular points: a regular singular point at zero and an irregular singular point at infinity. A fundamental family of solutions (f.f.s.) can be constructed in the form of integrals of Mellin-Barns type where the integrand satisfies a linear difference equation with polynomial coefficients. On the basis of this representation a f.f.s. is constructed in a neighborhood of zero, and its asymptotics at infinity is found. The coefficients of this asymptotics (the coupling factors) can be represented in the form of analytic expressions containing certain solutions of the difference equation adjoint to the difference equation previously mentioned. In contrast to previous works of the author, the general case of the initial equation is investigated.Translated from Zapiski Nauchnykh Seminarov Leningradskogo Otdeleniya Matematicheskogo Instituta im. In a Minkowski space with unit ballS, a setD() is diametrically complete ifD()={. In this paper a method is given for generating such setsD() which contain an arbitrary setX. This technique is then employed to find necessary and sufficient conditions for a setA to lie on the boundary of some suchD() and bounds are given on the acceptable values of .  相似文献

The properties of the space (Xx) of all sublinear functionals, defined on a space X' (topologically adjoint to a Hausdorff locally convex barrelled space X) and continuous in the Arens topology × (X, X), equipped with topology of uniform convergence on bounded subsets of X are studied. It is shown that completeness and separability of a space X are hereditary for (Xx). Criteria for the compactness of subsets of (Xx) and conditions for the metrizability of compacta in (Xx) are given. The topological isomorphism between (Xx) and the space of all nonempty convex compacta in X with the Vietoris topology is established. The results obtained here are applied for the study of the properties of multiple-valued integrals.Translated from Matematicheskie Zametki, Vol. 22, No. 2, pp. 203–213, August, 1977.The author thanks S. The spectrum (G) of a finite group G is the set of element orders of G. A finite group G is said to be recognizable by spectrum (briefly, recognizable) if HG for every finite group H such that (H)=(G). We give two series, infinite by dimension, of finite simple classical groups recognizable by spectrum.  相似文献

Summary Denote the set of doubly stochastic measures on the unit square X ×X that are supported on the graphs of measurable maps L,HXX by (L, H). Conditions are given that imply that (L, H) is a singleton. Since (L, H) is in any event a (possibly empty) extremal subset of the set of all doubly stochastic measures on X×X, our results are intimately related to the problem of describing the supports of the extreme points of .  相似文献

Let X be a separable compact Abelian group, Aut(X) the group of topological automorphisms of X, f n: XX a homomorphism f n(x)=nx, and X (n)=Im f n. Denote by I(X) the set of idempotent distributions on X and by (X) the set of Gaussian distributions on X. Consider linear statistics L 1= 1( 1)+ 2( 2) and L 2= 1( 1)+ 2( 2), where j are independent random variables taking on values in X and with distributions j, and j, jAut(X). The following results are obtained. Let X be a totally disconnected group. Then the independence of L 1 and L 2 implies that 1, 2I(X) if and only if X possesses the property: for each prime p the factor-group X/X (p) is finite. If X is connected, then there exist independent random variables j taking on values in X and with distributions j, and j, jAut(X) such that L 1 and L 2 are independent, whereas 1, 2(X) * I(X).  相似文献
