We give necessary and sufficient conditions under which a C0-semigroup of bi-contractions on a Krein space is similar to a semigroup of contractions on a Hilbert space. Under these and additional conditions we obtain direct sum decompositions of the Krein space into invariant regular subspaces and we describe the behavior of the semigroup on each of these summands. In the last section we give sufficient conditions for the co-generator of the semigroup to be power bounded.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the existence of impulsive semilinear differential equations with nonlocal conditions. Using the technique of fixed point theory, existence results are obtained, for mild solutions, when the nonlocal item is Lipschitz, is not Lipschitz and not compact, respectively.  相似文献

We consider the existence and uniqueness of bounded solutions of periodic evolution equations of the form u=A(t)u+?H(t,u)+f(t), where A(t) is, in general, an unbounded operator depending 1-periodically on t, H is 1-periodic in t, ? is small, and f is a bounded and continuous function that is not necessarily uniformly continuous. We propose a new approach to the spectral theory of functions via the concept of “circular spectrum” and then apply it to study the linear equations u=A(t)u+f(t) with general conditions on f. For small ? we show that the perturbed equation inherits some properties of the linear unperturbed one. The main results extend recent results in the direction, saying that if the unitary spectrum of the monodromy operator does not intersect the circular spectrum of f, then the evolution equation has a unique mild solution with its circular spectrum contained in the circular spectrum of f.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the existence for nondensely defined evolution equations with nonlocal conditions. Using the techniques of fixed point theory and approximate solutions, existence results are obtained, for integral solutions, when the nonlocal item is Lipschitz continuous or continuous, respectively. In this paper, we establish the existence results for semilinear differential systems with nonlocal initial conditions in Banach spaces. We prove that the operator G, the closure of the first-order differential operator −d/dt+D(t) on L2(R,X), is Fredholm if and only if the not well-posed equation u(t)=D(t)u(t), tR, has exponential dichotomies on R+ and R and the ranges of the dichotomy projections form a Fredholm pair; moreover, the index of this pair is equal to the Fredholm index of G. Here X is a Hilbert space, D(t)=A+B(t), A is the generator of a bi-semigroup, B(⋅) is a bounded piecewise strongly continuous operator-valued function. I prove a variation-of-constants formula and an existence theorem for multiplicative perturbations of nonautonomous linear equations, in the constant-domain, nonparabolic case (CD-systems).We use the properties of the evolution process generated by a CD-system: in particular an estimate of the integral product of the process with the perturbation term, taken in the constant Favard class of the CD-system. Using the extrapolation spaces and an extension of U(t, s) we are able to define a mild solution and to prove a corresponding existence and regularity theorem.As application I treat a size-structured population equation. We study a fractional differential equation of Caputo type by first transforming it into an integral equation with an L1[0,∞)L1[0,) kernel and then applying fixed point theory of Banach and Schauder type using a weighted norm to avoid stringent compactness conditions. It becomes clear that tedious construction of mapping sets and boundedness conditions can be avoided if we use fixed point theorems of Schaefer and Krasnoselskii type. The weighted norm then produces open sets so large that it is difficult to show that mappings are compact. This then leads us to generalize both Schaefer’s and Krasnoselskii’s fixed point theorems which yield simple and direct qualitative results for the fractional differential equations. The weight, gg, yields compactness, but it does much more. The generalized fixed point theorems now yield growth properties of the solutions of the fractional differential equations.  相似文献

We give criteria for the existence of periodic solutions to nonlinear systems of the form Lp=−?F(p,?)Lp=?F(p,?) under the condition that 1 is a normal eigenvalue of the monodromy operator U(τ,0)U(τ,0). In this paper, existence results are derived for the unique, smallest, greatest, minimal and maximal solutions of nonlinear distributional Cauchy problems. Dependence of solutions on the data is also studied. The obtained results are applied to impulsive differential equations. This paper is concerned with Schrödinger equations whose principal operators are homogeneous elliptic. When the corresponding level hypersurface is convex, we show the Lp-Lq estimate of the solution operator in the free case. This estimate, combined with the results of fractionally integrated groups, allows us to further obtain the Lp estimate of solutions for the initial data belonging to a dense subset of Lp in the case of integrable potentials.  相似文献
