The use of the [FeIII(AA)(CN)4]? complex anion as metalloligand towards the preformed [CuII(valpn)LnIII]3+ or [NiII(valpn)LnIII]3+ heterometallic complex cations (AA=2,2′‐bipyridine (bipy) and 1,10‐phenathroline (phen); H2valpn=1,3‐propanediyl‐bis(2‐iminomethylene‐6‐methoxyphenol)) allowed the preparation of two families of heterotrimetallic complexes: three isostructural 1D coordination polymers of general formula {[CuII(valpn)LnIII(H2O)3(μ‐NC)2FeIII(phen)(CN)2 {(μ‐NC)FeIII(phen)(CN)3}]NO3 ? 7 H2O}n (Ln=Gd ( 1 ), Tb ( 2 ), and Dy ( 3 )) and the trinuclear complex [CuII(valpn)LaIII(OH2)3(O2NO)(μ‐NC)FeIII(phen)(CN)3] ? NO3 ? H2O ? CH3CN ( 4 ) were obtained with the [CuII(valpn)LnIII]3+ assembling unit, whereas three isostructural heterotrimetallic 2D networks, {[NiII(valpn)LnIII(ONO2)2(H2O)(μ‐NC)3FeIII(bipy)(CN)] ? 2 H2O ? 2 CH3CN}n (Ln=Gd ( 5 ), Tb ( 6 ), and Dy ( 7 )) resulted with the related [NiII(valpn)LnIII]3+ precursor. The crystal structure of compound 4 consists of discrete heterotrimetallic complex cations, [CuII(valpn)LaIII(OH2)3(O2NO)(μ‐NC)FeIII(phen)(CN)3]+, nitrate counterions, and non‐coordinate water and acetonitrile molecules. The heteroleptic {FeIII(bipy)(CN)4} moiety in 5 – 7 acts as a tris‐monodentate ligand towards three {NiII(valpn)LnIII} binuclear nodes leading to heterotrimetallic 2D networks. The ferromagnetic interaction through the diphenoxo bridge in the CuII?LnIII ( 1 – 3 ) and NiII?LnIII ( 5 – 7 ) units, as well as through the single cyanide bridge between the FeIII and either NiII ( 5 – 7 ) or CuII ( 4 ) account for the overall ferromagnetic behavior observed in 1 – 7 . DFT‐type calculations were performed to substantiate the magnetic interactions in 1 , 4 , and 5 . Interestingly, compound 6 exhibits slow relaxation of the magnetization with maxima of the out‐of‐phase ac signals below 4.0 K in the lack of a dc field, the values of the pre‐exponential factor (τo) and energy barrier (Ea) through the Arrhenius equation being 2.0×10?12 s and 29.1 cm?1, respectively. In the case of 7 , the ferromagnetic interactions through the double phenoxo (NiII–DyIII) and single cyanide (FeIII–NiII) pathways are masked by the depopulation of the Stark levels of the DyIII ion, this feature most likely accounting for the continuous decrease of χM T upon cooling observed for this last compound.  相似文献

Two novel complexes of CuCN were characterized by using a single-crystal X-ray diffraction technique and Raman spectroscopy. In the structure of 2CuCN·DMSO ligand molecule demonstrates unique bridging mode, being bound to two CuI centers via oxygen and sulfur atoms. The bridging role of both CN groups and DMSO molecules results in the formation of (CuCN·DMSO)n framework. Along the channels of the network are running infinite zig-zag (CuCN)n chains, which are bound to the framework by elongated Cu…(CN) bonds. A mixed-valence [CuII(DMSO)6][CuI 6(CN)8] compound is composed of 3-D [CuI 6(CN)8]n anionic framework and located in the channels of partially disordered [CuII(DMSO)6]2+ cations.  相似文献

Abstract

A series of complexes of formula [(NC)5FeII—NC—FeII(CN)4L]n?, with L = H2O, pyridine, isonicotinamide and 4-cyanopyridine were prepared in aqueous solution by substitution of the corresponding [FeII(CN)5L]n? ions into [FeII(CN)5H2O]3?. The mixed valent (II, III) and fully oxidized (III, III) complexes were also obtained. The (II, II) complexes were moderately stable toward dissociation into the mononuclear species, but the mixed-valent ions were properly characterized by UV-vis-NIR spectroscopy and electrochemistry. Distinctive intervalence (IV) bands were assigned in the NIR region, with the energy being dependent on the binding properties of L; the IV band energy also correlated with the redox potential at the [NC—Fe(CN)4L] fragment. By application of the Hush model, a valence-trapped situation was found for the [(NC)5FeIII—NC—FeII(CN)4L]n? ions. The class II behavior shows, however, a value of H ab, the electronic coupling factor, of ca. 1600cm?1, indicating a moderate-to-strong communication between the metal centers.  相似文献

The Gly‐His‐Lys (GHK) peptide and the Asp‐Ala‐His‐Lys (DAHK) sequences are naturally occurring high‐affinity copper(II) chelators found in the blood plasma and are hence of biological interest. A structural study of the copper complexes of these peptides was conducted in the solid state and in solution by determining their X‐ray structures, and by using a large range of spectroscopies, including EPR and HYSCORE (hyperfine sub‐level correlation), X‐ray absorption and 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. The results indicate that the structures of [CuII(DAHK)] in the solid state and in solution are similar and confirm the equatorial coordination sphere of NH2, two amidyl N and one imidazole N. Additionally, a water molecule is bound apically to CuII as revealed by the X‐ray structure. As reported previously in the literature, [CuII(GHK)], which exhibits a dimeric structure in the solid state, forms a monomeric complex in solution with three nitrogen ligands: NH2, amidyl and imidazole. The fourth equatorial site is occupied by a labile oxygen atom from a carboxylate ligand in the solid state. We probe that fourth position and study ternary complexes of [CuII(GHK)] with glycine or histidine. The CuII exchange reaction between different DAHK peptides is very slow, in contrast to [CuII(GHK)], in which the fast exchange was attributed to the presence of a [CuII(GHK)2] complex. The redox properties of [CuII(GHK)] and [CuII(DAHK)] were investigated by cyclic voltammetry and by measuring the ascorbate oxidation in the presence of molecular oxygen. The measurements indicate that both CuII complexes are inert under moderate redox potentials. In contrast to [CuII(DAHK)], [CuII(GHK)] could be reduced to CuI around ?0.62 V (versus AgCl/Ag) with subsequent release of the Cu ion. These complete analyses of structure and redox activity of those complexes gave new insights with biological impact and can serve as models for other more complicated CuII–peptide interactions.  相似文献

A novel silsesquioxane and cobalt nitroprusside compound was prepared from octa(aminopropyl)silsesquioxane, resulting in a nanocomposite (ACCoN), which was then characterized by different spectroscopic techniques. The cyclic voltammograms of the ACCoN-modified graphite paste electrode indicated a redox pair with a formal potential (Eθ′)=0.38 V, assigned to the Co(II)Fe(II)(CN)5NO/Co(II)Fe(III)(CN)5NO redox couple. The ACCoN-modified graphite paste electrode was sensitive to isoniazid concentrations, presenting a linear response at a concentration range from 6.0×10−7 to 1.0×10−5 mol L−1, with limit of detection and amperometric sensitivity of 5.53×10−7 mol L−1 and 0.17 A/mol L−1, respectively.  相似文献

The reaction of tricyanometallate precursor, (Bu4N)[(pzTp)Fe(CN)3] with Cu(ClO4)2·6H2O in the presence of the tetradentate ligand tris(2‐pyridylmethyl)amine (TPyA) afford the dinuclear compound fac‐{[FeIII(pzTp)(CN)2(μ‐CN)]CuII(TPA)}·Et2O·ClO4 ( 1 ) (pzTp = tetrakis(pyrazolyl)borate). The molecular structure was determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. In compound 1 , the FeIII ion is coordinated by three cyanide carbon atoms and three nitrogen atoms of pzTp anions. Whereas, the CuII ion is surrounded by one cyanide nitrogen atom and four nitrogen atoms from the TPyA ligand. Magnetic measurements indicate the intramolecular ferromagnetic coupling is observed for compound 1 , and it has S = 1 ground states.  相似文献

The proton‐induced electron‐transfer reaction of a CuII μ‐thiolate complex to a CuI‐containing species has been investigated, both experimentally and computationally. The CuII μ‐thiolate complex [CuII2( LMeS )2]2+ is isolated with the new pyridyl‐containing ligand LMeSSLMe , which can form both CuII thiolate and CuI disulfide complexes, depending on the solvent. Both the CuII and the CuI complexes show reactivity upon addition of protons. The multivalent tetranuclear complex [CuI2CuII2( LS )2(CH3CN)6]4+ crystallizes after addition of two equivalents of strong acid to a solution containing the μ‐thiolate complex [CuII2( LS )2]2+ and is further analyzed in solution. This study shows that, upon addition of protons to the CuII thiolate compound, the ligand dissociates from the copper centers, in contrast to an earlier report describing redox isomerization to a CuI disulfide species that is protonated at the pyridyl moieties. Computational studies of the protonated CuII μ‐thiolate and CuI disulfide species with LSSL show that already upon addition of two equivalents of protons, ligand dissociation forming [CuI(CH3CN)4]+ and protonated ligand is energetically favored over conversion to a protonated CuI disulfide complex.  相似文献

The title compound, {[Cu(NH3)4][Cu(CN)3]2}n, features a CuI–CuII mixed‐valence CuCN framework based on {[Cu2(CN)3]}n anionic layers and [Cu(NH3)4]2+ cations. The asymmetric unit contains two different CuI ions and one CuII ion which lies on a centre of inversion. Each CuI ion is coordinated to three cyanide ligands with a distorted trigonal–planar geometry, while the CuII ion is ligated by four ammine ligands, with a distorted square‐planar coordination geometry. The interlinkage between CuI ions and cyanide bridges produces a honeycomb‐like {[Cu2(CN)3]}n anionic layer containing 18‐membered planar [Cu(CN)]6 metallocycles. A [Cu(NH3)4]2+ cation fills each metallocyclic cavity within pairs of exactly superimposed {[Cu2(CN)3]}n anionic layers, but there are no cations between the layers of adjacent pairs, which are offset. Pairs of N—H...N hydrogen‐bonding interactions link the N—H groups of the ammine ligands to the N atoms of cyanide ligands.  相似文献

It is promising and challenging to manipulate the electronic structures and functions of materials utilizing both metal-to-metal charge transfer (MMCT) and spin-crossover (SCO) to tune the valence and spin states of metal ions. Herein, a metallocyanate building block is used to link with a FeII-triazole moiety and generates a mixed-valence complex {[(Tp4-Me)FeIII(CN)3]9[FeII4(trz-ph)6]}⋅[Ph3PMe]2⋅[(Tp4-Me)FeIII(CN)3] ( 1 ; trz-ph=4-phenyl-4H-1,2,4-triazole). Moreover, MMCT occurs between FeIII and one of the FeII sites after heat treatment, resulting in the generation of a new phase, {[(Tp4-Me)FeII(CN)3][(Tp4-Me)FeIII(CN)3]8 [FeIIIFeII3(trz-ph)6]}⋅ [Ph3PMe]2⋅[(Tp4-Me)FeIII(CN)3] ( 1 a ). Structural and magnetic studies reveal that MMCT can tune the two-step SCO behavior of 1 into one-step SCO behavior of 1 a . Our work demonstrates that the integration of MMCT and SCO can provide a new alternative for manipulating functional spin-transition materials with accessible multi-electronic states.  相似文献

Not so elusive : [FeII(CN)5(HNO)]3? has been characterized spectroscopically after the two‐electron reduction of nitroprusside (see scheme). The complex is stable at pH 6, slowly decomposing to [Fe(CN)6]4? and N2O. It is deprotonated at increasing pH value with oxidation of bound NO? to [FeII(CN)5(NO)]3?. [FeII(CN)5(HNO)]3? is the first non‐heme iron–nitroxyl complex prepared in aqueous solution that is reversibly redox‐active under biologically relevant conditions.

The present work describes the development of a selective, sensitive and stable sensing microsensor for scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) to measure H2O2 during electrochemical reduction of oxygen. The microsensor is based on graphene and Poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene) composite as support to iron (III) hexacyanoferrate (II) (PEDOT/graphene/FeIII4[FeII(CN)6]3 microsensor). The electrochemical properties of the PEDOT/graphene/FeIII4[FeII(CN)6]3 microsensor were investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM). The PEDOT/graphene/FeIII4[FeII(CN)6]3 microsensor showed an excellent electrocatalytic activity toward hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) reduction with a diminution of the overpotential of about 500 mV in comparison to the process at a bare gold microelectrode. The microsensor presented excellent performance for two dimensional mapping of H2O2 by SECM in 0.1 mol L?1 phosphate buffer solution (pH 7.0). Under optimized conditions, a linear response range from 1 up to 1000 µmol L?1 was obtained with a sensitivity of 0.08 nA L µmol?1 and limit of detection of 0.5 µmol L?1.  相似文献

The bimetallic title complex, [CuFe(CN)5(C12H30N6O2)(NO)] or [Cu(L)Fe(CN)5(NO)] [where L is 1,8‐bis(2‐hydroxyethyl)‐1,3,6,8,10,13‐hexaazacyclotetradecane], has a one‐dimensional zigzag polymeric –Cu(L)–NC–Fe(NO)(CN)3–CN–Cu(L)– chain, in which the CuII and FeII centres are linked by two CN groups. In the complex, the CuII ion is coordinated by four N atoms from the L ligand [Cu—N(L) = 1.999 (2)–2.016 (2) Å] and two cyanide N atoms [Cu—N = 2.383 (2) and 2.902 (3) Å], and has an elongated octahedral geometry. The FeII centre is in a distorted octahedral environment, with Fe—N(nitroso) = 1.656 (2) Å and Fe—C(CN) = 1.938 (3)–1.948 (3) Å. The one‐dimensional zigzag chains are linked to form a three‐dimensional network via N—H⋯N and O—H⋯N hydrogen bonds.  相似文献

Structural reorganization of polyamide (PA) and low-molecular-weight CuI and CuII complexes with biquinolyl (biQ) ligands during their mutual redox transformations in solution was studied using the electrochemical methods (cyclic voltammetry and preparative electrolysis) and quantum chemical DFT calculations. The influence of electronic factors and geometry distortions in the complexes on the ionization energy on going from CuI to CuII was evaluated in comparison. The catalytically active form of the [CuI(PA)L2]BF4 complex can be synthesized in situ from the stable tetrahedral complex [CuI(PA)2]BF4 by the series of successive redox transitions CuI → CuII → CuI accompanied by the loss of one biQ-containing macroligand. By using cyclohexane‐1,2‐diamine (chxn), Ni(ClO4)2 ? 6H2O and Na3[Mo(CN)8] ? 4H2O, a 3D diamond‐like polymer {[NiII(chxn)2]2[MoIV(CN)8] ? 8H2O}n ( 1 ) was synthesised, whereas the reaction of chxn and Cu(ClO4)2 ? 6H2O with Na3[MV(CN)8] ? 4H2O (M=Mo, W) afforded two isomorphous graphite‐like complexes {[CuII(chxn)2]3[MoV(CN)8]2 ? 2H2O}n ( 2 ) and {[CuII(chxn)2]3[WV(CN)8]2 ? 2H2O}n ( 3 ). When the same synthetic procedure was employed, but replacing Na3[Mo(CN)8] ? 4H2O by (Bu3NH)3[Mo(CN)8] ? 4H2O (Bu3N=tributylamine), {[CuII(chxn)2MoIV(CN)8][CuII(chxn)2] ? 2H2O}n ( 4 ) was obtained. Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analyses showed that the framework of 4 is similar to 2 and 3 , except that a discrete [Cu(chxn)2]2+ moiety in 4 possesses large channels of parallel adjacent layers. The experimental results showed that in this system, the diamond‐ or graphite‐like framework was strongly influenced by the inducement of metal ions. The magnetic properties illustrate that the diamagnetic [MoIV(CN)8] bridges mediate very weak antiferromagnetic coupling between the NiII ions in 1 , but lead to the paramagnetic behaviour in 4 because [MoIV(CN)8] weakly coordinates to the CuII ions. The magnetic investigations of 2 and 3 indicate the presence of ferromagnetic coupling between the CuII and WV/MoV ions, and the more diffuse 5d orbitals lead to a stronger magnetic coupling interaction between the WV and CuII ions than between the MoV and CuII ions.  相似文献

Reaction of either K3[Fe(CN)6] or K4[Fe(CN)6] with a macrocyclic CuII complex, [Cu(teta)](ClO4)2 (teta = 5,7,7,12,14,14-hexamethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacylotetradecane), in aqueous solution gave the same product as shown by spectroscopic and physicochemical characterisation. The crystal structure of the complex shows that it is a one-dimensional linear chain type heterobinuclear FeIII–CuII polymer. The unit is composed of a [Cu(teta)(H2O)2]2+ cationic complex, a FeIII–CuII alternate linear chain unit, a ClO 4 ion and four water molecules. The Cu atom is coordinated in a distorted octahedral arrangement by four nitrogen atoms from one teta ligand and two nitrogen atoms of the bridging cyanide groups. The Cu—N bond distances involving the cyanide bridges, 2.522(7) and 2.608(7)Å, respectively, indicate weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the FeIII and CuII atoms.  相似文献

Five new mononuclear iron(II) tris‐ligand complexes, and four solvatomorphs, have been made from the azine‐substituted 1,2,4‐triazole ligands ( Lazine ): [FeII( Lpyridazine )3](BF4)2 ( 1 ), [FeII( Lpyrazine )3](BF4)2 ( 2 ), [FeII( Lpyridine )3](BF4)2 ( 3 ), [FeII( L2pyrimidine )3](BF4)2 ( 4 ), and [FeII( L4pyrimidine )3](BF4)2 ( 5 ). Single‐crystal XRD and solid‐state magnetometry reveal that all of them are low‐spin (LS) iron(II), except for solvatomorph 5 ?4 H2O. Evans method NMR studies in CD2Cl2, (CD3)2CO and CD3CN show that all are LS in these solvents, except 5 in CD2Cl2 (consistent with L4pyrimidine imposing the weakest field). Cyclic voltammetry in CH3CN vs. Ag/0.01 m AgNO3 reveals an, at best quasi‐reversible, FeIII/II redox process, with Epa increasing from 0.69 to 0.99 V as the azine changes: pyridine< pyridazine<2‐pyrimidine<4‐pyrimidine< pyrazine. The observed Epa values correlate linearly with the DFT calculated HOMO energies for the LS complexes.  相似文献

An intermediate in photoinduced magnetization process for the photomagnetic high-spin molecule [MoIV(CN)2(CN-CuL)6]8+ is studied with quantum chemistry calculations of the density functional theory and the ab initio multireference configuration interaction methods. It is found that the intramolecular electronic transfer from MoIV to CuII leads one trigonal-bipyamid coordinated CuII to be changed to the tetrahedral coordinated CuI with the light irradiation. The calculated magnetic properties show that the paramagnetic system [MoIV(CN)2(CN-CuIIL)6]8+ with six isolated spin 1/2 Cu ions is changed to ferromagnetic coupling high-spin system [MoV(CN)2(CN-CuIIL)5(CN-CuIL)]8+. These calculations will help to understand photoinduced magnetization phenomenon and provide a clue for the synthesization of new reversible photoinduced magnetic compounds.  相似文献

Summary: Electrochemical reactions of Ruthenium purple, Feequation/tex2gif-stack-1.gif[RuII(CN)6]3 (RP; FeIII-RuII) were studied using a spectrocyclic voltammetry (SCV) technique. The SCV measurement for an RP film coated on an ITO electrode showed a reversible redox between RP and Ruthenium white (RW; FeII-RuII) at 0.14 V vs saturated calomel reference electrode (SCE). An RP film was electrodeposited on a hybrid film of tungsten trioxide (WO3)/tris(2,2′-bipyridine)ruthenium(II) ([Ru(bpy)3]2+; bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine)/poly(sodium 4-styrenesulfonate) (PSS) (denoted as WRP film) from a colloidal solution containing 0.5 mM FeCl3, 0.5 mM K4[Ru(CN)6] and 40 mM KCl using a potentiodynamic multi-sweep technique. In a cyclic voltammogram (CV) of a WRP/RP film, a redox response was observed at 0.61 V in addition to essential redox responses of WRP hybrid film (a [Ru(bpy)3]2+/[Ru(bpy)3]3+ redox at 1.03 V and a HxWO3/WO3 redox below 0.09 V), but a redox response of RW/RP was not observed at 0.14 V. The SCV measurement for the WRP/RP film suggested that the redox response at 0.61 V is attributed to a redox of [Ru(bpy)3]2+/[Ru(bpy)3]3+ interacted electrostatically with RP. It also showed that RW is oxidized to RP via [Ru(bpy)3]2+/[Ru(bpy)3]3+ redox and RP is reversibly reduced to RW via HxWO3/WO3 redox. This unique geared electrochemical reaction for the WRP/RP film leads to a hysteresis property of an RW/RP redox.  相似文献
