The molecular geometry and vibrational frequencies of 2-amino-5-phenyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole (C8H7N3S) in the ground state has been calculated using the Hartree-Fock and density functional method (B3LYP) with 6-31G(d) basis set. The optimized geometric bond lengths and bond angles obtained by using HF and DFT (B3LYP) show the best agreement with the experimental data. Comparison of the observed fundamental vibrational frequencies of 2-amino-5-phenyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole (C8H7N3S) and calculated results by density functional B3LYP and Hartree-Fock methods indicate that B3LYP is superior to the scaled Hartree-Fock approach for molecular vibrational problems.  相似文献

The molecular structure and vibrational spectra of 3-acetyl-4-[N-(2'-aminopyridinyl)-3-amino]-3-buten-2-one (C(11)H(13)N(3)O(2)) in the ground state have been investigated by Hartree-Fock and density functional method (B3LYP and BLYP) with 6-31G(d) basis set. The optimized geometric bond lengths and bond angles obtained by using HF and DFT show the best agreement with the experimental data. Comparison of the observed fundamental vibrational frequencies of title compound and calculated results by HF and DFT methods indicate that B3LYP is superior to the scaled HF approach for molecular problems.  相似文献

Molecular geometry, vibrational wavenumbers and gauge including atomic orbital (GIAO) 13C NMR and 1H NMR chemical shift values of 1,3-phenylenediacetic acid (C10H10O4), in the ground state have been calculated by using ab initio Hartree-Fock (HF) and density functional theory (DFT/B3LYP) methods with 6-311++G(d,p) basis set for the first time. Comparison of the observed fundamental vibrational modes of 1,3-phenylenediacetic acid and calculated results by density functional B3LYP and Hartree-Fock methods indicate that B3LYP is superior to the scaled Hartree-Fock approach for quantum chemical studies. Geometric parameters (bond lengths and bond angles) and vibrational wavenumbers obtained by the HF and DFT/B3LYP methods are in good agreement with the experimental data. Furthermore, this is the first time the results of the calculated JCH and JCC coupling constants of the C10H10O4 molecule are presented in this study.  相似文献

FT-IR and (1)H, (13)C, DEPT, COSY, NOESY, HETCOR, INADEQUATE NMR spectra of 1-phenylpiperazine (pp) have been reported for the first time except for its (1)H NMR spectrum. The vibrational frequencies and (1)H, (13)C NMR chemical shifts of pp (C(10)H(14)N(2)) have been calculated by means of the Hartree-Fock (HF) and Becke-Lee-Yang-Parr (BLYP) or Becke-3-Lee-Yang-Parr (B3LYP) density functional methods with 6-31G(d) and 6-31G(d,p) basis sets, respectively. Comparison between the experimental and the theoretical results indicates that density functional B3LYP method is superior to the scaled HF and BLYP approach for predicting vibrational frequencies and NMR properties.  相似文献

The molecular geometry and vibrational frequencies of N-phenyl-N'-(2-thienylmethylene)hydrazine (C11H10N2S) have been calculated using Hartree-Fock and density functional method (B3LYP) with 6-31G(d) basis set. The optimized geometric bond lengths and angles obtained using HF and DFT (B3LYP) are in agreement with the experimental data. The molecular geometry, vibrational frequencies, 1H and 13C NMR chemical shifts, UV-vis spectra, HOMO-LUMO analyses, molecular electrostatic potentials (MEPs), , thermodynamic properties and atomic charges of 3- and 4-Nitrobenzaldehyde oxime (C7H6N2O3) molecules have been investigated by using Hartree-Fock (HF) and density functional theory (DFT/B3LYP) methods with the 6-311++G(d, p) basis set. The calculated optimized geometric parameters (bond lengths and bond angles), the vibrational frequencies calculated and 13C and 1H NMR chemical shifts values for the mentioned compounds are in a very good agreement with the experimental data. Furthermore, the highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) have been simulated and the transition states, energy band gaps and molecular electrostatic potential (MEP) maps for each oxime compound have been determined. Additionally, we also report the infrared intensities and Raman activities for the compounds under study.  相似文献

The vibrational frequencies and molecular geometry of (R)- and (rac)-4-phenly-1,3-oxazolidin-2-one (4-POO) in the ground state have been calculated using the Hartree-Fock and density functional method (B3LYP) with 6-31G(d) basis set. The optimized geometric bond lengths are described better by HF while bond angles are reproduced more accurately by DFT (B3LYP). 2-Chloro-N-(diethylcarbamothioyl)benzamide (C(12)H(15)ClN(2)OS) has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy. The crystal and molecular structure of the title compound has been determined from single crystal X-ray diffraction data. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pbca, Z=8 with a=9.581(3)A, b=9.992(3)A, c=26.640(8)A, V=2550.5(13)A(3) and D(calc)=1.410 Mg/m(3). The molecular geometry and vibrational frequencies of 2-chloro-N-(diethylcarbamothioyl)benzamide in the ground state have been calculated using the Hartree-Fock and density functional using Becke's three-parameter hybrid method with the Lee, Yang and Parr correlation functional (B3LYP) methods with 3-21G and 6-31G(d) basis sets. The calculated geometric parameters were compared to the corresponding X-ray structure of the title compound. The raw B3LYP frequencies approximate the experimental data much better than the results of Hartree-Fock. The scaled B3LYP/6-31G(d) results were more reliable than those obtained using the B3LYP/3-21G method with the mean absolute deviation about 13.7 cm(-1). On the basis of the comparison between calculated and experimental results, assignments of fundamental vibrational modes were examined.  相似文献

Vibrational frequencies and gauge including atomic orbital (GIAO) 13C NMR and 1H NMR chemical shift values of 2,6 distyrylpyridine (C21H17N) in the ground state have been calculated by using the Hartree-Fock (HF) and density functional method (B3LYP) with 6-31G(d) basis set. These methods are proposed as a tool to be applied in the structural characterization of 2,6 distyrylpyridine (C21H17N). The title compound has C2v point group, thus providing useful support in the interpretation of experimental IR data. In addition, obtained results were related to the linear correlation plot of experimental 13C NMR, 1H NMR chemical shifts values and IR data.  相似文献

O-Ethyl benzoylthiocarbamate has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis and FT-IR. The crystal structure was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. Title compound crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pna2(1), with Z=4. Unit cell parameters a=9.941(3)A, b=9.352(3)A, c=10.962(3)A and V=1019.1(5)A(3). The molecular geometry and vibrational frequencies of O-ethyl benzoylthiocarbamate in the ground state has been calculated using the Hartree-Fock and density functional using Becke's three-parameter hybrid method with the Lee, Yang, and Parr correlation functional (B3LYP) methods with 3-21G and 6-31G(d) basis sets. The computational frequencies are in good agreement with the observed results. Comparison of the observed fundamental vibrational frequencies of O-ethyl benzoylthiocarbamate and calculated results by density functional B3LYP and Hartree-Fock methods indicate that B3LYP is superior to the scaled Hartree-Fock approach for molecular vibrational problems.  相似文献

The optimized molecular geometry, vibrational frequencies, and gauge including atomic orbital (GIAO) (1)H and (13)C NMR shift values of 5-(4-bromophenylamino)-2-methylsulfanylmethyl-2H-1,2,3-triazol-4-carboxylic acid ethyl ester have been calculated by using Hartree-Fock (HF) and density functional method (DFT/B3LYP) with 6-31G(d), 6-31G(d,p) and LANL2DZ basis sets. The optimized molecular geometric parameters were presented and compared with the data obtained from X-ray diffraction. In order to fit the calculated harmonic wavenumbers to the experimentally observed ones, scaled quantum mechanics force field (SQM FF) methodology was proceeded. Correlation factors between the experimental and calculated (1)H chemical shift values of the title compound in vacuum and in CHCl(3) solution by using the conductor-like screening continuum solvation model (COSMO) were reported. The calculated results showed that the optimized geometry well reproduces the crystal structure. The theoretical vibrational frequencies and chemical shifts are in very good agreement with the experimental data. In solvent media the energetic behavior of the title compound was also examined by using the B3LYP method with the 6-31G(d) basis set, applying the COSMO model. The obtained results indicated that the total energy of the title compound decreases with increasing polarity of the solvent. Furthermore, molecular electrostatic potential (MEP), natural bond orbital (NBO) and frontier molecular orbitals (FMOs) of the title compound were performed by the B3LYP/LANL2DZ method, and also thermodynamic parameters for the title compound were calculated at all the HF and B3LYP levels.  相似文献

In this work, the experimental and theoretical spectra of 4-chloro-2-bromoacetophenone (4C2BAP) are studied. FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra of title molecule have been recorded in the region 4000-100 cm(-1). The structural and spectroscopic data of the molecule in the ground state have been calculated by using Hartree-Fock and density functional method (B3LYP) with the 6-31G (d, p) and 6-311G (d, p) basis sets. The vibrational frequencies are calculated and scaled values are compared with the experimental FT-IR and FT-Raman spectra. The DFT (B3LYP/6-311G (d, p)) calculations are more reliable than the ab initio HF/6-311G (d, p) calculations for the vibrational study of 4C2BAP. The optimized geometric parameters (bond lengths and bond angles) are compared with experimental values of the molecule. The alteration of vibrational bands of the carbonyl and acetyl groups due to the presence of halogens (Cl and Br) in the base molecule is also investigated from their characteristic region of linked spectrum.  相似文献

The new tetra dentate dianionic H2PS (N,N'-dipyridoxyl (1,3-propylenediamine)) Schiff-base ligand and its octahedral Co(III) salen complex [Co(PS)(H2O)(CH3OH)]+CH3COO(-) were synthesized, where coordinating atoms of H2PS (N,N,O(-),O(-)) occupied equatorial positions with H2O and CH3OH as axial ligands. The nature of the H2PS and its complex were determined by elemental and spectrochemical (IR, UV-vis, 1H NMR and Mass) analysis. Also, the fully optimized geometries and vibrational frequencies of them together with the 1H NMR chemical shifts of H2PS have been calculated using density functional theory (B3LYP) method. Obtained structural parameters are in good agreement with the experimental data reported for similar compounds. The calculated and experimental results confirmed the suggested structures for the ligand and complex.  相似文献

The optimized molecular structures, vibrational frequencies and corresponding vibrational assignments of conformations of 2-hydroxy-3-nitropyridine and 3-hydroxy-2-nitropyridine molecules have been investigated using ab initio Hartree-Fock (HF) and density functional theory (B3LYP) methods with 6-311++G(d,p) basis set. The comparison of the experimental and calculated spectra of the molecules have shown that they exist in two conformations with the two OH bond angles (110 degrees and 250 degrees ) respective to the CO bond in the ground state and their energy curves having two minimums have been drawn.  相似文献
