采用非磁化等离子体的分段线形电流密度卷积(Current density convolution,JEC)时域有限差分(Finite-dif-ferent time-domain,FDTD)算法研究了具有单一缺陷层的一维时变非磁化等离子体光子晶体的缺陷模特性。以高斯脉冲为激励源,通过由算法公式得到的电磁波透射系数讨论了等离子体上升时间对其缺陷模的影响。结果表明,改变等离子体的上升时间和密度可以获得不同的缺陷模。  相似文献

The plasma photonic crystal is a periodic array composed of alternating thin unmagnetized (or magnetized) plasmas and dielectric materials (or vacuum). In this paper, the piecewise linear current density recursive convolution finite-difference time-domain method for the simulation of isotropic unmagnetized plasma is applied to model unmagnetized plasma photonic crystal structures. A perfectly matched layer absorbing material is used in these simulations. In time-domain, the electromagnetic propagation process of a Gaussian pulse through an unmagnetized plasma photonic crystal is investigated. In frequency-domain, the reflection and transmission coefficients through unmagnetized plasma photonic crystals are computed and their dependence on plasma frequency, plasma thickness, collision frequency is studied. The results show theoretically that the electromagnetic bandgaps of unmagnetized plasma photonic crystals are tuned by the plasma parameters.  相似文献

The analytic solutions of the weak ion acoustic double layers in warm unmagnetized and magnetized plasma have been presented with the fluid equation for ions and an arbitrary equation of state for the hot electrons. It has been shown that double layers solutions exist for both magnetized and unmagnetized plasmas when two Boltzmann model for electrons are considered. The potential, the thickness and the velocity of such type of double layers have been calculated and compared with those for the cold plasma.  相似文献

In this paper, the dissipative instabilities in the interaction of an ion beam with unmagnetized and strongly magnetized plasmas are investigated. In both cases, relevant dispersion equations of high-frequency and ion acoustic waves are obtained. In addition, the resonance frequencies and growth rates of the instabilities are derived. It is shown that the thermal motion of charged particles has positive effects on the resonance frequency but its influence on the growth rate of an instability depends on the plasma conditions. Although in all cases the collisions are found to have a stabilizing effect, it is shown that the dominant type of collisions (electron-neutral or ion-neutral collisions) depends on the frequency range. It is also indicated that the resonance frequency and the growth rate of an instability in the unmagnetized plasma is higher than in the strongly magnetized plasma for non-zero propagation angles.  相似文献

用数值方法研究磁化非均匀等离子体(磁场与密度梯度垂直)中模转换机制对p极化电磁波的吸收效应,重点考虑磁场对吸收率的影响,结果表明:与非磁化等离子体相比,磁场的加入使得吸收率曲线相对入射角的分布发生小的偏移,吸收率为零的位置不是发生在零度入射(即垂直入射)时.而是在一个负的入射角位置,垂直入射时有不为零的吸收率,且正角度范围与负角度范围的峰值吸收率不相等,磁场提高了正入射角范围内的峰值吸收率而降低了负角度范围内的峰值吸收率(或反过来,这取决于磁场方向).  相似文献

Absorbers and reflectors of electromagnetic waves have many applications, and so the interactions between electromagnetic waves and low-temperature plasma, particularly numerical analysis of reflection, absorption, and transmission of electromagnetic waves in unmagnetized, magnetized, nonuniform, and uniform plasma, have been a topic of intensive research. For instance, Laroussi numerically evaluated the interactions between electromagnetic waves and a uniform magnetized plasma cylinder, and Helaly and Yeh studied the scattering from nonuniform magnetized plasma cylinders.  相似文献

从动力论方程出发,推导并讨论了磁化与非磁化等离子体的纵向电阻率。结果是:(1)各向同性磁化等离子体的电阻率约为非磁化者的1.5倍;(2)对各向异性的等离子体而言,磁化后的电阻率约与Te⊥Te‖-5/2成正比,但非磁化时的电阻率则与Te⊥-1Te‖-1/2成正比。以上的差异主要是来自外磁场对电子运动轨迹的作用。同时本文亦论述了在讨论经典电阻率时,静态屏蔽作用是主要的,而动力屏蔽对电阻率的影响是可以忽略不计的。 关键词:  相似文献

The interaction of a light wave with a relativistic ionization front in the presence of an applied DC magnetic field which is perpendicular or parallel to the incident wave is considered. In both cases, four transmitted modes are generated in the magnetized plasma by an incident linearly polarized wave. The frequency upshifts of the various modes are calculated and compared to the unmagnetized case. The corresponding reflection and transmission coefficients are also obtained. A theory for the formation of Mach cones in a magnetized dusty plasma with strongly correlated charged dust grains has been presented. We use the electron and ion susceptibilities for weakly correlated magnetized electrons and ions as well as the strongly correlated unmagnetized dust grain susceptibilities which are obtained by means of the quasilocalized charge approximation and a generalized hydrodynamic model. The plasma dielectric response of the present system reveals the parametric regimes for which Mach cones in a strongly coupled laboratory dusty magnetoplasma can be formed. We suggest conducting experiments in radiofrequency dusty plasma discharges with superconducting magnets for verifying the theoretical prediction of Mach cones that is made herein.  相似文献

The properties of dust–ion acoustic (DIA) shock wave in a dusty plasma containing positive and negative ions is investigated. The reductive perturbation method has been used to derive the Korteweg–de Vries–Burgers equation for dust acoustic shock waves in a homogeneous, unmagnetized and collisionless plasma whose constituents are Boltzmann distributed electrons, singly charged positive ions, singly charged negative ions and cold static dust particles. The KdV–Burgers equation is derived and its stationary analytical solution is numerically analyzed where the effect of viscosity on the DIA shock wave propagation is taken into account. It is found that the viscosity in the dusty plasma plays as a key role in dissipation for the propagation of DIA shock.  相似文献

The dispersion of electromagnetic waves in waveguides partially filled with semiconductor plasma is investigated for unmagnetized and for strongly magnetized plasma. The effects which may be useful for the plasma electronics are found: In such waveguides there exist a large number of slow waves with typical frequencies ω ≈ ωP/√?L. The filling at which the different modes at fixed phase velocity are maximum separated in wavelength is found. The thickness of the semiconductor layer at which this effect arises is about hundred micrometers and depends on the crystals' type. In addition to this, in strongly magnetized semiconductor plasma the maximum frequency separation of the typical plasma waves is found at fixed filling. Is it shown that in such systems there exist many surface waves which are of the slow wave type. In the case of strongly magnetized plasma coupling between nonsymmetrical EH- and HE- modes is shown to exist.  相似文献

An oscillating magnetic field is applied with a loop antenna to an unmagnetized plasma. At small amplitudes the field is evanescent. At large amplitudes the field magnetizes the electrons, which allows deeper field penetration in the whistler modes. Field-reversed configurations are formed at each half cycle. Electrons are energized. Transient whistler instabilities produce high-frequency oscillations in the magnetized plasma volume.  相似文献

The frequency spectrum of free-electron laser pumped by electromagnetic wave with magnetized and unmagnetized background plasma is analyzed by the theory of three-wave interaction and PIC simulation, respectively. The frequencies of PIC simulation are in agreement with the results of the three-wave interaction theory. The results show that the frequency spectrum is very plentiful.  相似文献

The structuring of plasma shells expanding into a magnetized plasma at velocities less than the Alfven speed is considered. The structuring phenomenon is studied with hybrid simulations. The hybrid simulations are conducted for two characteristic parameter sets: one set representative of magnetized ion experiments and one set representative of unmagnetized ion experiment. A complementary theoretical study of structuring instabilities using nonlocal, two fluid theory is discussed. Under the conditions representative of the laser-target experiments, the simulation observed structuring with azimuthal wavelengths similar to those observed in the experiment. Fluid theory, on the other hand, predicts that the most rapidly growing azimuthal modes are much shorter than observations, a result consistent with previous theoretical analyses  相似文献
