A search for the recently proposed two-phonon octupole vibrational (2-POV) 4+ or 6+ state in208Pb at an excitation energy of 5683 keV has been performed using the207Pb(d,p),208Pb (p,p) and (,) reactions at high energy resolution. No evidence for a two-phonon excitation at this energy is found.This work was supported in part by the DFG under contract nr. We have calculated theE1 andE2 contributions to the low-energyD(,)6Li fusion and to the6Li+208Pb D++208Pb Coulomb dissociation cross sections within a multichannel Resonating Group calculation based on many-body deuteron+ configurations and pseudo-states. For both reactions experimentally determined cross sections are reasonably well reproduced. We find that dipole capture contributes noticeably to the fusion cross sections atE500 keV, while it is negligible in the Coulomb dissociation data.  相似文献

The population strengths of excited states in nuclei produced via transfer reactions in the 185 MeV32S +208Pb reaction have been investigated by heavy-ion- coincidence techniques. 208Pb has been excited with inelastic heavy ion scattering of 350 MeV64Ni and 420 MeV82Se on a thick208Pb target. With - coincidence measurements 2 new decays of the 10+ isomer, namely a 34.5 keVE2-transition to 8 2 + and a 857.7 keVE3 transition to 7 have been found and the wavefunctions of the participating levels deduced. An observed gamma cascade of 295.3, 348.0, 865.4 and 340.2 keV on top of the 10+ isomer is assigned to the particle-hole states with the highest spins 14 6744.1 keV13 6448.9 keV12+ 6100.9 keV11+ 5235.6 keV10+ 4895.4 keV.This work has been supported in part through the agreement on scientific cooperation between Poland and Germany.  相似文献

The systematics of-decay modes and radiative widths of highly excited states in28Si has been extended by taking-ray spectra on 60 resonances of the27Al(p,) reaction in the range 1097 keVE p 4492 keV (12643 keVE x 15915 keV) and on the24Mg(,) resonances atE =3355, 3431, 4003 keV (E x =12860, 12925, 13 415 keV). The-decay modes of levels in the sub-resonance region (E x =10–12.5 MeV) were studied with both the27 A1(p, ) reaction and the27 A1(d, n) reaction at Ed=4,5,6 MeV. Information on radiative widths of levels was obtained by measuring the resonance strengthsS =(2I+1) p / for 52 resonances of the27Al(p, ) reaction with an emphasis on prospective T=1 states.  相似文献

The particle- angular correlation of the 2+0+ transition in148Nd, Coulomb excited by90Zr projectiles, was investigated to search for a transient electric field gradient expected to be present during the stopping of the recoils in208Pb. An upper limit of Vzz <>19V/cm2 was obtained for148Nd recoiling with initial velocities of 0.05 c.  相似文献

The couplings of conventional and hybrid mesons to (real and virtual) and their production amplitudes in M are described in a unified manner. Existing results for heavy quarks are recovered, extensions to light quarks and to virtual couplings are made and phenomenological applications discussed. In particular we discuss relativistic corrections to 0+, 1+, 2+ for both real and virtual photons and offer a resolution to a long standing puzzle in perturbative QCD concerning the helicity structure of 2++. We suggest that the production off 2 (1720) involves gluons in an essential way or that this meson hasJ2.  相似文献

Levels and transitions in111In and113In have been studied in the111Cd(p, n)111In and113Cd(p, n)113In reactions. By means of- coincidences,-angular distributions, relative excitation functions and conversion electron measurements more than 20 levels below 2 MeV have been established in each nucleus. Several negative-parity states were found above 1 MeV. Two low-spin positive-parity states with features similar to the possible rotational band in the heavier In nuclei are observed below 1,400 keV in both nuclei.  相似文献

A new isotope,127Pr, has been identified and its decay has been studied using on-line isotope separation of94Mo (36Ar,p2n) reaction products. The half-life of the isotope was determined to be 7.7(6) s, and a /X-ray spectrum has been obtained. A partial level scheme is proposed for127Ce on the basis of-singles,-gated and-coincidence data.The authors would like to thank the TIARA cyclotron crew for their cooperation in generating an intense36Ar beam as well as in operating the cyclotron. 77Se has been investigated by the reaction74Ge(,n) at 14 MeV. Gamma singles spectra, gamma angular distributions and gamma-gamma coincidences have been taken. A level scheme has been established, spins and parities have been assigned. Effective – luminosities are calculated for various realistic hadron collider scenarios. The main characteristics of photon-photon processes at relativistic heavy-ion colliders are established and compared to the corresponding –-luminosities ate +-e — and future photon linear colliders (PLC). Higher order corrections as well as inelastic processes are discussed. It is concluded that feasible high luminosity Ca–Ca collisions at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) are an interesting option for – physics up to about 100 GeV – CM energy.  相似文献

In-beam- andn-measurements have for the first time identified excited states in the 72 157 Hf85 nucleus and have established its yrast levels up to 6.5 MeV and I=(51/2). The results of parameter-free 11-particle recoupling calculations in the framework of the shell model for the configurationsh 11 2/8 f 7 2/3 andh 11 2/8 f 7 2/2 h9/2 are in excellent agreement with the observed levels up to 39/2 at 4.758 MeV. A weakly populated 52 ns 29/2+ yrast isomer at 2.876 MeV is assigned as the three-neutron configurationf7/2h9/2i13/2.  相似文献

The emission of high-energy-rays in the deexcitation of hot40Ca and39K nuclei formed in heavy-ion fusion reactions at excitation energyE x 90 MeV has been studied. The high energy-rays were measured in coincidence with evaporation residues or light charged particles. The spectrum from the self-conjugated compound nucleus40Ca shows an appreciable yield suppression in the Giant Dipole Resonance (GDR) energy region with respect to the39K, due to isospin selection rules in the dipole-decay. The spectral line shapes of the spectra are well reproduced by using a statistical code which treats explicitly the isospin quantum number in evaluating level densities and transmission coefficients. The GDR parameters determined from the present coincidence measurements are in good agreement with the systematic in theA 40 mass region at lower bombarding energy based on the analysis of inclusive spectra.We thank M. High spin states in the nucleus156Ho have been studied via the fusion-evaporation reaction140Ce(19F,3n)156Ho at the beam energy of 82 MeV.- coincidences, E, I and excitation functions have been measured. With two rotationally-aligned bands identified as [h11/2] [i13/2], we found two new bands with a signature splitting, whose structure is believed to arise from either [h9/2] or [f7/2] coupled to [h11/2]. Our placement of rays belonging to these new bands suggests that the previously known level scheme should be corrected. We also found many new low-energy rays in the low excitation energy. As compared to154Ho, the present nucleus with two more neutrons becomes more collective, and shows well-observed rotationally-aligned bands with a clear signature splitting.Communicated by B. The decay of the new activity110Mo (t1/2=0.30(4).s) has been observed at the new IGISOL separator. Multiscaled singles,--t and -y-t coincidences were recorded. The decay scheme suggests I=2+ for the ground state of the daughter nucleus110Tc. Three 1+ levels are fed with logft values below 5, indicating no drastic change among Mo and Ru decays at the middle of the neutron shell. This experiment confirms the expectation that the new IGISOL facility will allow the identification of one or two new more neutron-rich isotopes per element in this region.Supported by the Academy of Finland.  相似文献

A mini transmission-ray Compton polarimeter was developed for the measurement of the sign of magnetic moments of radioactive nuclei with low-temperature nuclear orientation. The decay of101Zr has been investigated at the fission-product separators JOSEF and LOHENGRIN. The half-life of101Zr has been determined to 2.5(1) s and a level scheme for101Nb has been established from ray singles as well as X/3- and — coincidence measurements. Conversion coefficients for transitions in101Nb and level half-lives between 10 ps and 2 ns have been determined. Three rotational bands are identified among the low-lying levels with band heads at 0 keV, 206 keV and 208 keV. The bands are probably based on the Nilsson configurations [422 5/2+], [301 3/2] and [303 5/2], respectively. The deformation has been determined to q=0.40(4) and 0.41(8) for the ground state band and the band based on the 206 keV level from the half-lives of the first and second excited members of these bands. This shows that the rapid onset of deformation at N=60 which is typical for the A=100 region of neutron-rich nuclei, takes also place in the Nb isotopes. Nilsson model calculations describe the experimental data well, especially the several determined transition probabilities including those for E1 transitions from the 206 and 208 keV band heads to the ground state.Dedicated to Prof. Dr. P.
