For compact and connected Lie group $G$ with a maximal torus $T$ the quotient space $G/T$ is canonically a smooth projective manifold, known as the complete flag manifold of the group $G.$ The cohomology ring map $c^∗: H^∗ (B_T) → H^∗ (G/T)$ induced by the inclusion $c:G/T→B_T$ is called the Borel’s characteristic map of the group $G [7, 8],$ where $B_T$ denotes the classifying space of $T.$ Let $G$ be simply-connected and simple. Based on the Schubert presentation of the cohomology $H^∗ (G/T)$ of the flag manifold $G/T$ obtained in $[10, 11],$ we develop a method to find a basic set of explicit generators for the kernel ker$c^∗ ⊂ H^∗ (B_T)$ of the characteristic map $c.$  相似文献

It is known that Goertzels algorithm is much less numerically accurate than the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) (cf. [2]). In order to improve accuracy we propose modifications of both Goertzels and Horners algorithms based on the divide-and-conquer techniques. The proof of the numerical stability of these two modified algorithms is given. The numerical tests in Matlab demonstrate the computational advantages of the proposed modifications. We know that an operator T acting on a Banach space satisfying generalized Weyl's theorem also satisfies Weyl's theorem. Conversely we show that if all isolated eigenvalues of T are poles of its resolvent and if T satisfies Weyl's theorem, then it also satisfies generalized Weyl's theorem. We give also a sinlilar result for the equivalence of a-Weyl's theorem and generalized a-Weyl's theorem. Using these results, we study the case of polaroid operators, and in particular paranormal operators.  相似文献

In this paper we derive some remarkable properties of McShane’s functional, defined by means of positive isotonic linear functionals. These properties are then applied to weighted generalized means. Let M be a left R-module. In this paper a generalization of the notion of m-system set of rings to modules is given. Then for a submodule N of M, we define := { m ε M: every m-system containing m meets N}. It is shown that is the intersection of all prime submodules of M containing N. We define rad R (M) = . This is called Baer-McCoy radical or prime radical of M. It is shown that if M is an Artinian module over a PI-ring (or an FBN-ring) R, then M/rad R (M) is a Noetherian R-module. Also, if M is a Noetherian module over a PI-ring (or an FBN-ring) R such that every prime submodule of M is virtually maximal, then M/rad R (M) is an Artinian R-module. This yields if M is an Artinian module over a PI-ring R, then either rad R (M) = M or rad R (M) = ∩ i=1 n for some maximal ideals of R. Also, Baer’s lower nilradical of M [denoted by Nil* ( R M)] is defined to be the set of all strongly nilpotent elements of M. It is shown that, for any projective R-module M, rad R (M) = Nil*( R M) and, for any module M over a left Artinian ring R, rad R (M) = Nil*( R M) = Rad(M) = Jac(R)M. Using undergraduate calculus, we give a direct elementary proof of a sharp Markov-type inequality \({\left\| {p'} \right\|_{\left[ { - 1,1} \right]}} \leqslant \frac{1}{2}{\left\| p \right\|_{\left[ { - 1,1} \right]}}\) for a constrained polynomial p of degree at most n, initially claimed by P. Erd?s, which is different from the one in the paper of T.Erdélyi (2015). Whereafter, we give the situations on which the equality holds. On the basis of this inequality, we study the monotone polynomial which has only real zeros all but one outside of the interval (?1, 1) and establish a new asymptotically sharp inequality.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the Prandtl system for the non-stationary boundary layer in the vicinity of a point where the outer flow has zero velocity. It is assumed that U(t, x, y) = x^mU1(t, x), where 0 〈 x 〈 L and m 〉 1. We establish the global existence of the weak solution to this problem.
