Block Iterative Methods for a Finite Family of Generalized Nonexpansive Mappings in Banach Spaces

In this paper, we study an operator generated by a finite family of generalized nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space. We first prove that the set of fixed points of this operator is identical to the set of all common fixed points of the mappings. Next, using this operator, we construct an iterative sequence to approximate a common fixed point of the family of generalized nonexpansive mappings. We finally apply our results to solve the feasibility problem in Banach spaces.

1981年,1985年,2000年,乔三正、蔡东汉、魏益民分别给出Drazin广义逆不同形式的表示．本文将对上述结果进行推广,给出Drazin广义逆的统一表示,使上述三个结果均成为本文主要结果的特例．在本文主要结果的基础上,利用算子谱理论,给出Drazin广义逆的一种逼近形式的表示,同时给出逼近解的估计．此结果推广了蔡东汉、魏益民的相应结果．

把王宜举等人[Modified extragradient—type method for variational inequali—ties and verification of the existence of solutions,J.Optim.Theory Appl.,2003,119:167-183]在欧氏空间上求解变分不等式的一个超梯度型方法推广到Banach空间.变分不等式中的算子不要求是一致连续的,其主要优点在于不管变分不等式是否有解,算法都是可执行的.此外,变分不等式的可解性可以通过算法产生的序列的性态来刻画.在适当的条件下,算法产生的序列强收敛于变分不等式的一个解,这是Bregman距离意义下离初始点最近的解.本文的主要结果推广和改善了近来文献中的相应结果.     

Remarks on Minimal Sets for Cyclic Mappings in Uniformly Convex Banach Spaces

In this article, we prove that every nonempty and convex pair of subsets of uniformly convex in every direction Banach spaces has the proximal normal structure and then we present a best proximity point theorem for cyclic relatively nonexpansive mappings in such spaces. We also study the structure of minimal sets of cyclic relatively nonexpansive mappings and obtain the existence results of best proximity points for cyclic mappings using some new geometric notions on minimal sets. Finally, we prove a best proximity point theorem for a new class of cyclic contraction-type mappings in the setting of uniformly convex Banach spaces and so, we improve the main conclusions of Eldred and Veeramani.

Generalized viscosity implicit rules for solving quasi-inclusion problems of accretive operators in Banach spaces

The generalized viscosity implicit rules for solving quasi-inclusion problems of accretive operators in Banach spaces are established. The strong convergence theorems of the rules to a solution of quasi-inclusion problems of accretive operators are proved under certain assumptions imposed on the sequences of parameters. The results presented in this paper extend and improve the main results of Refs. (Moudafi, J Math Anal Appl. 2000;241:46–55; Xu et al., Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2015;2015:41; López et al., Abstr Appl Anal. 2012;2012; Cholamjiak, Numer Algor. DOI:10.1007/s11075-015-0030-6.). Moreover, some applications to monotone variational inequalities, convex minimization problem and convexly constrained linear inverse problem are presented.     

On Newton's Method for Solving Nonlinear Equations and Function Splitting

We provided in [14] and [15] a semilocal convergence analysis for Newton's method on a Banach space setting, by splitting the given operator. In this study, we improve the error bounds, order of convergence, and simplify the sufficient convergence conditions. Our results compare favorably with the Newton-Kantorovich theorem for solving equations.

Nonlinear Ergodic Theorem for Positively Homogeneous Nonexpansive Mappings in Banach Spaces

Recently, two retractions (projections), which are different from the metric projection and the sunny nonexpansive retraction in a Banach space, were found. In this article, using nonlinear analytic methods and new retractions, we prove a nonlinear ergodic theorem for positively homogeneous and nonexpansive mappings in a uniformly convex Banach space. The limit points are characterized by using new retractions.     

Orthogonally Complemented Subspaces in Banach Spaces

In this paper, we extend the Moreau (Riesz) decomposition theorem from Hilbert spaces to Banach spaces. Criteria for a closed subspace to be (strongly) orthogonally complemented in a Banach space are given. We prove that every closed subspace of a Banach space X with dim X ≥ 3 (dim X ≤ 2) is strongly orthognally complemented if and only if the Banach space X is isometric to a Hilbert space (resp. strictly convex), which is complementary to the well-known result saying that every closed subspace of a Banach space X is topologically complemented if and only if the Banach space X is isomorphic to a Hilbert space.     

Modified Ishikawa Iteration Process for Nonlinear Lipschitz Generalized Strongly Pseudo-Contractive Operators in Arbitrary Banach Spaces

In this paper, we modify the Ishikawa iteration process and show that such process, associated with a nonlinear Lipschitzian generalized strongly pseudo-contractive operator with a fixed point in a (not necessarily uniformly smooth) Banach space, converges strongly to the unique fixed point of this operator.
