为使光纤激光器在自由空间中进行有效的相干合成,提出了耦合臂上带有会聚透镜的迈克尔逊型耦合腔,并将外腔配置为f-f结构以增强内部反馈.利用高斯光束的ABCD定律分析了外腔的传输特性,详细研究了外腔偏离f-f结构对相互注入耦合效率的影响,指出输出光纤端面与透镜前焦平面的偏差是影响反馈耦合效率的关键因素.基于此特别设计的迈克尔逊型耦合腔,实验上实现了两路光纤激光的有效相干合成.当透镜被移走时,阵列输出功率下降为原始值的78.5%,且相干态变得不稳定.  相似文献

利用三个2×2的光纤耦合器按一定规则联接成一个全光纤耦合环,该耦合环将三个独立的掺铒光纤激光器连成一个锁相阵列. 由于耦合环的引入,锁相阵列的整体损耗减小,且三个单元激光器之间可以进行有效的能量相互注入耦合,进而实现阵列的锁相输出. 实验中观察到的远场干涉图样和锁相前后的输出光谱均表明三路光纤激光器实现了相位锁定,当三路抽运源的功率均为100 mW时,获得了92 mW的稳定相干输出. 关键词: 光纤激光器 相干合成 光纤耦合器 相位锁定  相似文献

Efficient and stable continuous-wave (CW) laser operation at 1053 nm in a Nd-doped phosphate single-mode fiber (Nd:PSMF) has been demonstrated experimentally. The fiber laser consisted of a 21 cm Nd:PSMF placed in a F-P cavity formed by high reflector butt-coupled to coupling end of the fiber and Fresnel reflection of the other end facet. An output power of 1.42 W and a slope efficiency of 34.1% (18.4%) with respect to absorbed pump power (incident pump power) were obtained with 808 nm diode pumping. An increment as much as 9.7 and 15.0% in slope efficiency of the input coupling efficiency and the output power, respectively, were obtained by using a local-cooling design provided by watered sealing the coupling point. The repeatable results indicate that the design, featuring fluid sealing the coupling point of the fiber laser, which was capable of offering an effective alleviation of thermal effects and an elevation of the quality of the laser cavity, could be expected to be a convenient and effective scheme to improve the performance characteristics of the non-silica fiber lasers and the high power fiber lasers, generally in free-space coupling configuration.  相似文献

We report an all-fiber pulsed laser with multistage fiber amplifier which was suitable for high power eye-safe free space optical communications. Tapered structure has been utilized between booster and final amplifiers, which could increase the power coupling from the former fiber into the core of the latter fiber, and the beam quality of the output laser could be improved simultaneously. A maximum output power over 6 W has been achieved from the master-oscillator-power-amplifier system. With the multi-stage configuration and forward pumping, the optical signal to noise ratio was measured to be better than 50 dB.  相似文献

A simple Erbium Doped Fiber Laser (EDFL) in linear cavity configuration is reported. The cavity design is based on an FBG as a back reflector, and a loop back optical circulator with an output coupler as the front reflector. Different coupling ratios of the coupler are tested and 50: 50 provides the highest coupling output power of 22.06 dBm (160.7 mW). The pump power conversion efficiency is about 95% when pumping with two pump lasers at 1460 and 1490 nm with combined pumping power of 545 mW. The laser output has a measured linewidth of 0.0179 nm.  相似文献

高功率单频激光在激光雷达、光谱学、精密测量等领域具有广阔的应用前景.采用中心波长为1064 nm、光谱线宽为20 kHz、偏振消光比(PER)高于20 dB的单频线偏振分布式反馈光纤激光器做种子源(尾纤输出功率约为10 mW),利用种子注入主振荡功率光纤放大技术,通过两级级联放大实现了128 W高功率单频、线偏振、近衍射极限单模连续激光输出.主放大器光-光效率达到83%,PER高于12 dB.采用分段温控技术有效地提高了光纤中的受激布里渊散射(SBS)阈值,实验中未观察到明显的放大自发辐射和SBS现象,进 关键词: 掺Yb光纤放大器 主振荡功率光纤放大 单频 线偏振  相似文献

We experimentally demonstrate the coherent combining of two tunable erbium-doped fiber lasers by using a single-mode fiber feedback loop configuration. A single-mode fiber is arranged in the feedback loop to filter the far-field pattern, and the energy of desired in-phase mode is collected and injected into the resonators of two component fiber lasers. The coherently combined laser is tunable over a wide spectrum ranging from 1536 to 1569 nm, which means that the combining scheme is compatible with wavelength tuning. The effects and necessity of whether adopting polarization controlling measures or not in component lasers are investigated in detail. The results indicate that adding polarization controlling can improve the array's coherence, whereas it will decrease the output power and efficiency simultaneously.  相似文献

We report the output power emitted by an array of ultra high frequency current modulated semiconductor lasers (CMSCL) whose elements are mutually coupled in a ring configuration and globally coupled through an external mirror. By varying the coupling strengths, we determine the domain where the in-phase state occurs. The dependence of the output power on the coupling strengths is analyzed. The power increases with the number of lasers and shows an abrupt increase or decrease as the coupling strengths increase. This particular behaviour is related to synchronization.  相似文献

首先从掺铥光纤激光器的速率方程和光传输方程出发,建立数学模型,通过Matlab软件进行数值计算,分析了泵浦光和激光沿光纤的分布以及各能级离子数的变化.在不同掺杂浓度下,研究了小信号增益与入纤泵浦功率的关系以及泵浦光和激光功率与增益介质长度的关系.在不同泵浦功率下,研究了输出功率与输出耦合镜反射率的关系.进一步对不同泵浦吸收系数,研究了斜率效率和泵浦阈值与光纤长度的关系.分析结果表明存在最佳光纤长度和最佳耦合输出透过率,使得激光输出功率达到最佳值.  相似文献

随着单管半导体激光器光纤耦合技术的不断发展,为了进一步提高多单管半导体激光器的输出功率,本文采用曲面空间排列方式对多个单管半导体激光器进行合束研究,使更多数量的单管半导体激光器耦合进入同一光纤中,获得更高的输出功率。文中利用ZEMAX光学设计软件进行仿真模拟,将34只波长为975 nm、输出功率为10 W的单管半导体激光器合束聚焦后耦合进芯径200 μm、数值孔径0.22的光纤中,获得耦合效率91.76%、输出功率312.03 W的激光系统。实验中,将17只单管半导体激光器耦合进芯径200 μm、数值孔径0.22的光纤中,在10.5 A的驱动电流下,输出功率为100.5 W,系统耦合效率为68.46%。  相似文献

It was found that the output power of the distributed feedback fiber lasers would be improved after annealing or left unused for several days after the laser had been fabricated, and the output of the fundamental mode would not increase but be clamped while the ±1 order modes would be predominant with the enhancement of the coupling coefficient during the fabrication. The paper discussed the influence of UV-induced fiber loss on the fiber phase-shifted DFB lasers. Due to the gain saturation and fiber internal loss, which included the temperament loss and permanent loss, there was an optimum coupling coefficient for the DFB fiber lasers that the higher internal fiber loss corresponded to the lower optimum values of coupling coefficient.  相似文献

 对掺Yb3+双包层光纤激光器不同参数情况下的输出功率和增益分布进行了数值模拟,分析了一端泵浦和双端泵浦方式下输出特性的差异,激光沿光纤长度方向的分布,输出功率与光纤长度、腔镜反射率及泵浦功率的关系。结果显示:两端泵浦较一端泵浦增益更加平坦,输出功率也稍高;当泵浦光波长为975nm时,输出激光功率对光纤长度更为敏感,最佳光纤长度相对于泵浦光波长为915nm时短且转化效率高;在大功率长光纤的情况下,光纤有损耗时输出功率随输出腔镜反射率的增加单调地减小,无损耗时输出功率不随输出腔镜反射率变化。  相似文献

采用多层介质膜衍射光栅实现多路高功率光纤激光共孔径光谱合成有望成为光纤激光同时实现高功率、高效率和高光束质量的最具发展潜力的技术途径。搭建了一套基于双光栅色散补偿设计的5kW共孔径光谱合成系统。采用国产多层介质膜衍射光栅实现了5路kW级窄谱子束激光的高效优质共孔径光谱合成,最大输出功率达5.07kW,光束质量因子(M2)小于3,合成效率达到91.2%。初步研究表明:多层介质膜衍射光栅在较高功率水平、较宽光谱范围内均能保持较高衍射效率,是实现高功率光纤激光高效率光谱合成的重要器件;参与合成的子束自身的光束质量水平和线宽是影响合成输出光束质量的重要因素,光谱合成系统的输出功率主要受限于窄谱子束的输出功率和合成路数,增加窄谱子束的功率或合成路数均可进一步提升系统的输出功率。  相似文献

利用自成像腔技术进行光子晶体光纤(PCF)激光器光束相干合成的实验研究,实现了两光子晶体光纤激光器的相位锁定.在不使用滤波器的情况下,实验仍能观测到清晰的下涉图样,且在高功率输出状态以及环境噪声情况下干涉图样仍可保持稳定,表明具有单模大模场特性的光子晶体光纤在实现光束相干合成方面比传统的双包层光纤(DCF)有明显的优越性.实验还表明耦合输出镜的反射率对相干输出功率有一定影响,当反射镜的反射率分别为5%,10%和15%时,两台激光器相干输出斜率效率分别为63.8%,61.6%和60.2%.在抽运功率为150 W和耦合输出镜的反射率为5%时,获得95.8 W的最大相干功率输出,相干功率合成效率为90.2%.实验中无任何热光效应产生,有望利用该方法获得更高的相干输出功率.  相似文献

Two photonic crystal fiber (PCF) lasers are phase-locked by using self-imaging resonator techniques. Obvious and steady interference strips are observed even without using spatial filter in high power operation, which demonstrates the advantages of pure single-mode PCF lasers in coherent beam combining. 对强泵浦下线形腔掺Yb3+双包层光纤激光器输出特性进行了理论和实验研究。通过数值模拟,分析了泵浦光及激光在光纤中的分布、输出功率与泵浦功率的关系、光纤长度及腔镜反射率对激光输出功率的影响。在实验中,利用D型掺Yb3+双包层光纤获得了输出功率10 6W的光纤激光输出,斜率效率达86%。测量了在不同输出耦合条件下的输出功率、阈值泵浦功率和斜率效率,理论分析与实验结果基本一致,为进一步提高光纤激光器功率提供了理论和实验依据。  相似文献

We report on >9W transverse-fundamental-mode CW output near 3 mum from a 4m heavily erbium-doped ZBLAN double-clad fiber laser pumped by a collimated 100 W 975 nm laser diode array. The pump threshold of the fiber laser was about 1W, and the slope efficiency was 21.3%. The peak wavelength of free running was about 2708 nm at low pump power and moved to around 2785 nm at high pump power. Output of 9W was obtained when the launched pump power was 42.8W. The output, however, fluctuated intensively like a pulsed laser, and the operation broke down with optical damage of the pumping end facet when the pump was increased beyond 42.8 W. Therefore, alleviation of the operation fluctuation, heat management, and strengthening the pumping fiber are crucial considerations for the stable operation of 10-W-level mid-IR ZBLAN fiber lasers.  相似文献

构建了一种能够直接输出高功率贝塞尔超短脉冲的光纤激光放大器. 该方案基于在光纤端面特殊设计和制备的微型负轴锥镜, 针对常规超短脉冲光纤激光放大系统所设计, 不需要引入其他分立整形器件, 避免了目前基于轴锥透镜产生贝塞尔光束的通用方法所带来的额外烦琐准直工作, 极大简化了产生贝塞尔光束的方法. 其中的微型负轴锥镜由聚焦粒子束刻蚀法在一段掺镱大模场光子晶体光纤的端面制备, 它和光纤激光系统中的固有准直透镜构成了集成化的光束整形器件. 基于数值模拟结果成功搭建的系统与理论设计一致, 直接输出了在米量级具有高度准直无衍射特性的啁啾皮秒贝塞尔超短脉冲波包, 平均功率高达10.1 W, 对应脉冲能量178 nJ, 经过光栅对压缩后脉冲宽度可达140 fs. 关键词: 衍射 超短脉冲产生 光纤器件 光纤激光器  相似文献

High power Nd:YAG lasers with fiber optic beam delivery have introduced new capabilities for material processing applications. Here, we present the stable resonator design for high power Nd:YAG lasers to optimize beam quality for fiber optic transmission. Dependence of beam parameters on position and dioptric power of thermal lens has been investigated and optimized to achieve efficient fiber optic beam delivery. With the optimum resonator configuration, an efficient fiber optic beam delivery over the entire operating range of input power has been achieved. The results of stable resonator design with good beam quality and output power have been presented.  相似文献

对线形腔LD泵浦掺镱的双包层光纤激光器进行研究,通过数值模拟,分析了不同泵浦方式下的泵浦光、激光输出功率和增益特性在光纤中的分布。结果表明,单端后向泵浦输出功率率较高,对于小功率光纤激光器则是最佳选择。进一步又研究了单端后向对称泵浦输出功率与光纤长度及腔镜反射率的影响,为提高光纤激光器的输出功率提供了理论和实验依据。  相似文献
