利用Optisystem实现了单模光纤波分复用(WDM)通信系统。在发送端,产生了四路复用的WDM信号,信道采用单模光纤及光放大器,接收端采用光电二极管。利用光谱显示模块显示了关键节点的光谱,利用眼图模块显示了接收端恢复的电信号的眼图。实验表明,建立的单模光纤通信系统具有良好的可靠性,Optisystem非常适合光纤通信系统课程实验。  相似文献

导出了光相位共轭器(DPC)接于常规单模光纤链路中点的色散补偿波分复用(WDM)系统传输带宽的估算公式,并用数值仿真的结果验证了公式的正确性;采用不对称接入光相位共轭器提高传输带宽的方法,导出了光相位共轭器接入位置对传输带宽影响的估算公式,利用公式估算和数值仿真的结果表明,当光相位共轭器处于最佳接入位置时,色散补偿的波分复用系统的传输带可以提高近一倍。  相似文献

稳定、波长可调谐的窄脉冲光源是未来光时分复用/波分复用光纤通信系统的重要组成部分。报道了一个20GHz的注入锁模光纤激光器的实验。利用一个10GHz的导体体激光器作为光源,最终得到了波长可调谐的重复频率为20GHz、脉冲宽度为12.4ps的光脉冲,波长的调谐范围为16nm。  相似文献

This study proposed and demonstrated a directly modulated NTSC AM-VSB 77-channel plus Internet access system using a Fabry-Perot (FP) laser diode, an optical isolator, fiber Bragg grating (FBG), wavelength-division-multiplexing (WDM), channel conversion and two-way communication techniques over an existing multimode fiber (MMF) on the author’s campus. Performances of carrier-to-noise ratio (CNR) of >43dB composite second order (CSO) of >53dB and composite triple beat (CTB) of >53dB were obtained over a 2-km MMF transmission. The proposed two-way communication system is simple and suitable for fiber to the classrooms application.  相似文献

Unique dispersion characteristics and enhanced nonlinearity make the small-core photonic crystal fiber (PCF) an ideal candidate for nonlinear optical devices to telecommunication applications. Some technical reasons behind great research interest of highly nonlinear PCFs in optical communication components are reviewed. Nonlinear effects in highly nonlinear PCFs and their research progress are presented. Several typical applications including WDM sources, optical amplification, optical switching, wavelength conversion, optical regeneration and all-optical demultiplexing etc are introduced, together with state-of-the art performances. Performance of a long-haul wavelength division multiplexed (WDM) communication system has been evaluated in presence of nonlinear effects using standard single-mode fiber. Different compensation configurations, namely, post-, pre- and bi-end compensation, have been investigated to mitigate the fiber nonlinear effects. Eye-opening degradation due to mutual interplay between self-phase modulation (SPM) and group velocity dispersion for the compensating techniques has been estimated with respect to the transmission length and the residual dispersion in case of WDM system. Maximum threshold power levels at the bit error rate of 10−9 limited by the SPM effect have been determined. From a comparison among the compensating techniques, bi-end compensation configuration has been found to be the most suitable technique for any fiber length in case of a WDM communication system.  相似文献

在研究了入纤功率、光器件的插入损耗以及非归零码中1码出现的概率对系统误码率影响的基础上,提出了一种基于混合光纤放大器的波分复用(WDM)光纤传输系统设计方案,并对该系统的噪声特性进行了详细地研究。提出了一种抑制前向噪声的有效方法,实现了20路WDM信号320km无误码传输。试验结果对基于混合光纤放大器的波分复用光纤传输系统的设计具有一定的指导意义。  相似文献

A novel wavelength-selective all-fiber filter using a single long-period fiber grating (LPG) interacting with a misaligned fusion splicing point has been demonstrated. The misaligned splicing point couples a part of the core mode power into the cladding modes, which is then recoupled into the core mode by the following LPG. As an optical path difference is introduced by the differential refractive index of the fiber, an in-fiber Mach-Zehnder interferometer is therefore formed, which may function as a cost-efficient WDM filter with good isolation and low insertion loss.  相似文献

A novel channel allocation method, based on optical Golomb ruler (OGR), that allows reduction of the FWM effect while maintaining bandwidth efficiency along with the algorithms has been presented in this paper. Very high-capacity, long-haul optical communication systems can be designed by wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) of high-bit-rate channels and by using erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs) to periodically compensate the fiber loss. In such all-optical systems, the effects of chromatic dispersion and nonlinearities accumulate during light propagation, imposing limits on the achievable performance. Chromatic dispersion at 1.55 pm can be effectively reduced by using dispersion-shifted fiber (DSF). The use of very-low-dispersion fiber, however, enhances the efficiency of generation of four-wave mixing (FWM) waves by reducing the phase mismatch naturally provided by the fiber dispersion. For this reason, crosstalk due to FWM is the dominant nonlinear effect in long-haul WDM systems using DSFs. To reduce four-wave-mixing crosstalk in high capacity long-haul repeater less WDM light wave systems, the use of the channel allocation method that involves unequal spaced channels has been proposed.  相似文献

利用耦合模方程对正弦型Tapered光纤光栅的反射谱进行了较为详细的计算和分析,并从实验上进行了验证。利用叠加均匀周期光纤光栅的模板和周期性振幅光栏一次成栅的方法,获得了具有三个反射峰、中心波长间隔为0.8nm的Tapered光纤光栅,这种光栅具有类似于梳状滤波器的功能,在多波长光纤激光器等方面有重要应用。  相似文献
