利用复杂晶体化学键理论对Eu^2 掺杂的硼酸盐晶体Ba2LiB5O10,Ba2MgB2O6,Ba2Be2B2O6,BaLiBO3,SrB4O7和SrAl2B2O7的化学键参数进行了理论计算,结果表明,在不同的晶体中掺杂离子与配位原子间形成的共价键的键性是不同的,这种差异的产生是由于成键原子的性质、配位数以及键长的不同而造成的。  相似文献

Luminescence of divalent europium has been investigated for the first time in metal hydrides. A complete solid-solution series was found for the pseudobinary system Eu(x)Sr(1-x)H(2) [a = 637.6(1) pm -12.1(3)x pm, b = 387.0(1)-6.5(2)x pm, c = 732.2(2)-10.1(4)x pm]. Europium-doped alkaline-earth hydrides Eu(x)M(1-x)H(2) (M = Ca, Sr, Ba) with a small europium concentration (x = 0.005) exhibit luminescence with maximum emission wavelengths of 764 nm (M = Ca), 728 nm (M = Sr), and 750 nm (M = Ba); i.e., the emission energy of divalent europium shows an extremely large red shift compared to the emission energies of fluorides or oxides. Theoretical calculations (LDA+U) confirm decreasing band gaps with increasing europium content of the solid solutions.  相似文献

Infrared-ultraviolet double resonance spectroscopy has been applied to study the infrared spectra of the supersonically cooled gas phase complexes of formic acid, acetic acid, propionic acid, formamide, and water with 9-hydroxy-9-fluorenecarboxylic acid (9HFCA), an analog of glycolic acid. In these complexes each binding partner to 9HFCA can function as both proton donor and acceptor. Relative to its frequency in free 9HFCA, the 9-hydroxy (9OH) stretch is blue shifted in complexes with formic, acetic, and propionic acids, but is red shifted in the complexes with formamide and water. Density functional calculations on complexes of 9HFCA to a variety of H bonding partners with differing proton donor and acceptor abilities reveal that the quantitative frequency shift of the 9OH can be attributed to the balance struck between two competing intermolecular H bonds. More extensive calculations on complexes of glycolic acid show excellent consistency with the experimental frequency shifts.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] The synthesis of new 18-membered hexaazamacrocycles containing a functionalized 2,2':6',2' '-terpyridine moiety as part of the cyclic backbone and three acetate pendant arms is described. The reported synthetic procedure is based on the use of an efficient metal template ion effect which controls the macrocyclization step. This procedure is compatible with some functional groups present in the macrocyclic structure. The photophysical properties of the Eu(III) complexes derived from these ligands were examined in aqueous solutions. Their luminescence lifetimes (tau approximately 1 ms) and quantum yields (13% < Phi < 18%) on one hand, their high kinetic inertness on the other hand, and the presence of additional functionality allowing their covalent conjugation to biomolecules seriously nominate these complexes as very promising candidates for luminescent labeling of biological materials.  相似文献

When the nucleus independent chemical shifts, NICS(1)zz, for a set of aromatic and antiaromatic hydrocarbons are summed, they show an excellent linear relationship with the magnetic susceptibility exaltation, Lambda, for neutral, cationic, and monoanionic species. Aromatic and antiaromatic dianions show a similar relationship but with a different slope. However, when both Lambda and the summation of NICS(1)zz are divided by the area of the ring squared, the vast majority of the aromatic and antiaromatic species fall on the same line, indicating that both NICS and Lambda are affected by the size of the ring. The species that deviate slightly from the line are a few of the anionic compounds, which may be a result of the difficulties of calculating magnetic properties of anions. This is the first report of the relationship of NICS to ring area. In addition, the excellent correlation between Lambda and the summation of NICS(1)zz demonstrates that summation of NICS(1)zz values for individual ring systems of polycyclic ring systems to give a measure of the aromaticity of the entire system is justified. By extension, the excellent correlation also serves to demonstrate that the NICS(1)zz values for individual ring systems are reliable measures of local aromaticity/antiaromaticity. Finally, the excellent correlation between experimental shifts and the 13C NMR shifts calculated with density functional theory, B3LYP/6-311+g(d,p), serves as an indirect validation of the accuracy of the NICS(1)zz calculated by the same method and basis set.  相似文献

Information theory and, specifically, Shannon's measure of information is used to compare the interaction parameters (beta) in regular solution theory (RST) and Ingram's model for the mixture of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) and Triton X-100 (TX100). Results show that beta values from regular solution theory are more accurate than those of Ingram's model. Additionally, the procedure applied in this paper for the calculation of uncertainties in the continuous case, prevents difficulties concerning differential entropy.  相似文献

The concept of the chemical bond is very old. Many interpretations have been proposed. Nevertheless, the problem is far from being solved. At the present time, the chemist has the choice between two models: the Lewis model (electron pairs) and the quantum model. In spite of a current opinion, both models are not logically equivalent. The localization of molecular orbitals is only a mathematical operation which does not involve any physic localization of the electrons. The loge theory is not more satisfying owing to the fact that loges with minimal fluctuation do not exist in all molecules. The theory of orbital domains seems to bring a solution. Nevertheless, its interpretation can be obtained only outside the strict framework of quantum mechanics.  相似文献

This essay provides a perspective on several issues in valence bond theory: the physical significance of semilocal bonding orbitals, the capability of valence bond concepts to explain systems with multireferences character, the use of valence bond theory to provide analytical representations of potential energy surfaces for chemical dynamics by the method of semiempirical valence bond potential energy surfaces (an early example of specific reaction parameters), by multiconfiguration molecular mechanics, by the combined valence bond-molecular mechanics method, and by the use of valence bond states as coupled diabatic states for describing electronically nonadiabatic processes (photochemistry). Restricted Hartree-Fock (RHF), second-order Møller-Plesset (MP2), and density functional calculations [using the Becke/Lee-Yang-Parr (B-LYP) exchange/correlation gradient-corrected functionals] employing the 6-311G(d, p) and 6-311 + + G(d, p) basis sets have been carried out to calculate isodesmic bond separation energies for reactions involving a number of representative five- and six-membered ring organic compounds. The MP2 and density functional approaches yield reasonably good energies; the density functional method agrees particularly well with experiment, exhibiting a root-mean-square error of only 2.5 kcal/mol. Ring geometries are calculated satisfactorily in all approaches but are given particularly accurately by the MP2 approach. A comparison of the B-LYP bond separation energies with several other definitions of resonance energy shows that these different approaches correlate with each other in a reasonable fashion. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献
