The synthesis and magnetic properties of 13 new homo- and heterometallic Co(II) complexes containing the artificial amino acid 2-amino-isobutyric acid, aibH, are reported: [Co(II)(4)(aib)(3)(aibH)(3)(NO(3))](NO(3))(4)·2.8CH(3)OH·0.2H(2)O (1·2.8CH(3)OH·0.2H(2)O), {Na(2)[Co(II)(2)(aib)(2)(N(3))(4)(CH(3)OH)(4)]}(n) (2), [Co(II)(6)La(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(3)(NO(3))(2)(H(2)O)(4)(CH(3)CN)(2)]·0.5[La(NO(3))(6)]·0.75(ClO(4))·1.75(NO(3))·3.2CH(3)CN·5.9H(2)O (3·3.2CH(3)CN·5.9H(2)O), [Co(II)(6)Pr(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(3)(NO(3))(3)(CH(3)CN)(6)]·[Pr(NO(3))(5)]·0.41[Pr(NO(3))(3)(ClO(4))(0.5)(H(2)O)(1.5)]·0.59[Co(NO(3))(3)(H(2)O)]·0.2(ClO(4))·0.25H(2)O (4·0.25H(2)O), [Co(II)(6)Nd(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(3)(NO(3))(2.8)(CH(3)OH)(4.7)(H(2)O)(1.5)]·2.7(ClO(4))·0.5(NO(3))·2.26CH(3)OH·0.24H(2)O (5·2.26CH(3)OH·0.24H(2)O), [Co(II)(6)Sm(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(3)(NO(3))(3)(CH(3)CN)(6)]·[Sm(NO(3))(5)]·0.44[Sm(NO(3))(3)(ClO(4))(0.5)(H(2)O)(1.5)]·0.56[Co(NO(3))(3)(H(2)O)]·0.22(ClO(4))·0.3H(2)O (6·0.3H(2)O), [Co(II)(6)Eu(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(3)(NO(3))(3)(CH(3)OH)(4.87)(H(2)O)(1.13)](ClO(4))(2.5)(NO(3))(0.5)·2.43CH(3)OH·0.92H(2)O (7·2.43CH(3)OH·0.92H(2)O), [Co(II)(6)Gd(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(3)(NO(3))(2.9)(CH(3)OH)(4.9)(H(2)O)(1.2)]·2.6(ClO(4))·0.5(NO(3))·2.58CH(3)OH·0.47H(2)O (8·2.58CH(3)OH·0.47H(2)O), [Co(II)(6)Tb(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(3)(NO(3))(3)(CH(3)CN)(6)]·[Tb(NO(3))(5)]·0.034[Tb(NO(3))(3)(ClO(4))(0.5)(H(2)O)(0.5)]·0.656[Co(NO(3))(3)(H(2)O)]·0.343(ClO(4))·0.3H(2)O (9·0.3H(2)O), [Co(II)(6)Dy(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(3)(NO(3))(2.9)(CH(3)OH)(4.92)(H(2)O)(1.18)](ClO(4))(2.6)(NO(3))(0.5)·2.5CH(3)OH·0.5H(2)O (10·2.5CH(3)OH·0.5H(2)O), [Co(II)(6)Ho(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(3)(NO(3))(3)(CH(3)CN)(6)]·0.27[Ho(NO(3))(3)(ClO(4))(0.35)(H(2)O)(0.15)]·0.656[Co(NO(3))(3)(H(2)O)]·0.171(ClO(4)) (11), [Co(II)(6)Er(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(4)(NO(3))(2)(CH(3)CN)(2.5)(H(2)O)(3.5)](ClO(4))(3)·CH(3)CN·0.75H(2)O (12·CH(3)CN·0.75H(2)O), and [Co(II)(6)Tm(III)(aib)(6)(OH)(3)(NO(3))(3)(H(2)O)(6)]·1.48(ClO(4))·1.52(NO(3))·3H(2)O (13·3H(2)O). Complex 1 describes a distorted tetrahedral metallic cluster, while complex 2 can be considered to be a 2-D coordination polymer. Complexes 3-13 can all be regarded as metallo-cryptand encapsulated lanthanides in which the central lanthanide ion is captivated within a [Co(II)(6)] trigonal prism. dc and ac magnetic susceptibility studies have been carried out in the 2-300 K range for complexes 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, and 13, revealing the possibility of single molecule magnetism behavior for complex 10.  相似文献

The ionic multicomponent complex complex: ([Cr(I)(PhH)(2)].+))(2)[Co(II)TPP(C(60)(CN)(2))]-[C(60)(CN)(2)](.-).3(o-C(6)H(4)Cl(2)) (Co(II)TPP: cobalt (II) tetraphenylporphyrin; Cr(PhH)(2): bis(benzene)chromium; o-C(6)H(4)Cl(2): o-dichlorobenzene) containing CoTPP(C(60)(CN)(2)- anion and C(60)(CN)(2).- radical anion was obtained. The complex has the cage structure with channels, which accommodate Cr(I)(PhH)(2)(.+) and o-C(6)H(4)Cl(2) molecules. For the first time the sigma-bonding of Co(II)TPP to the fullerene radical anion with the essentially shortened Co.C(C(60)(CN)(2)) contact of 2.282 A is observed. The sigma-bonding results in the diamagnetism of Co(II)TPP(C(60)(CN)(2))(-) anion. The nonbonded C(60)(CN)(2)(.-) radical anion retains both the C(2)(v)symmetry and the shape of the molecule. The length of the C(triple bond)N bonds is 1.141 and 1.152 A.  相似文献

We present the synthesis, characterization of the structures, and magnetic properties of five isostructural dodecanuclear coordination clusters of Ni(II) and Co(II): [Co(12)(bm)(12)(NO(3))(O(2)CMe)(6)(EtOH)(6)](NO(3))(5) (1), [Ni(12)(bm)(12)(NO(3))(O(2)CMe)(6)(H(2)O)(3)(EtOH)(3)](NO(3))(5)·2H(2)O (2), mixed-metal composition (Ni/Co 1:1) [Co(6)Ni(6)(bm)(12)(NO(3))(O(2)CMe)(6)(NO(3))(5) (3), and [M(12)(bm)(12)(NO(3))(O(2)CMe)(6)(EtOH)(6)](ClO(4))(5) (M=Co (4), Ni (5)), in which Hbm=(1H-benzimidazol-2-yl)methanol. They consist of analogous structural cores that are constructed by three cubanes (M(4)O(4)) that surround the templating nitrate and bridging auxiliary acetate and the directing ligands bm. They have different magnetic behaviors. Whereas there is the absence of the out-of-phase ac susceptibility (χ') for the Ni(II)-based compounds 2 and 5, the Co(II)-containing compounds 1, 3, and 4 have prominent χ' signals that exhibit frequency dependence, which indicates slow magnetic relaxation behavior above 1.8 K. In particular, the larger perchlorate counterions in 4 further change the overall correlation interaction between clusters, thus leading to an enhanced blocking temperature for the less-symmetrical 4 (pseudo-C(3)) relative to 1 and 3 (true C(3)). Interestingly, electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) indicates that the three dodecanuclear clusters of 1-3 retain their compositions in solution. The mixed-metal cluster cores of 3 are formed based on the nature of the interchangeability between metal centers in solution.  相似文献

Ternary Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and UO(2)(II) chelates with tenoxicam (Ten) drug (H(2)L(1)) and dl-alanine (Ala) (HL(2)) and also the binary UO(2)(II) chelate with Ten were studied. The structures of the chelates were elucidated using elemental, molar conductance, magnetic moment, IR, diffused reflectance and thermal analyses. UO(2)(II) binary chelate was isolated in 1:2 ratio with the formula [UO(2)(H(2)L)(2)](NO(3))(2). The ternary chelates were isolated in 1:1:1 (M:H(2)L(1):L(2)) ratios and have the general formulae [M(H(2)L(1))(L(2))(Cl)(n)(H(2)O)(m)].yH(2)O (M=Fe(III) (n=2, m=0, y=2), Co(II) (n=1, m=1, y=2) and Ni(II) (n=1, m=1, y=3)); [M(H(2)L(1))(L(2))](X)(z).yH(2)O (M=Cu(II) (X=AcO, z=1, y=0), Zn(II) (X=AcO, z=1, y=3) and UO(2)(II) (X=NO(3), z=1, y=2)). IR spectra reveal that Ten behaves as a neutral bidentate ligand coordinated to the metal ions via the pyridine-N and carbonyl-O groups, while Ala behaves as a uninegatively bidentate ligand coordinated to the metal ions via the deprotonated carboxylate-O and amino-N. The magnetic and reflectance spectral data confirm that all the chelates have octahedral geometry except Cu(II) and Zn(II) chelates have tetrahedral structures. Thermal decomposition of the chelates was discussed in relation to structure and different thermodynamic parameters of the decomposition stages were evaluated.  相似文献

The photolytic kinetic properties of a new series of intramolecular bridged alkyl cobaloxime complexes Br(O-C(3)H(6)-(dmgH))(dmgH))Co(III)(2), [H(2)O(O-C(3)H(6)-(dmg))(dmgH(2))]Co(III)[ClO(4)(3), ]Py(O-C(3)H(6)-(dmg))(dmgH(2))[Co(III)]ClO(4)(4), [Bzm(O-C(3)H(6)-(dmg))(dmgH(2))]Co(III)[ClO(4)(5) and ]Im(O-C(3)H(6)-(dmg))(dmgH(2))[Co(III)]ClO(4)(6) and their precursor aqua-(3-bromopropyl)cobaloximes (1) were investigated by UV-Vis spectroscopy. The products of photolytic solutions were characterized by both ESI-MS and (1)H-NMR techniques. Our results revealed a carbon-center radical that is produced from Co-C bond cleavage under photolysis might be linked to the equatorial ligand and thus retained in the proximity of Co(II)-complex. The thermo-gravimetric analysis of complex 2 gives the same conclusion.  相似文献

Seven acetate-diphenoxo triply bridged M(II)-Ln(III) complexes (M(II) = Ni(II) and Ln(III) = Gd, Tb, Ho, Er, and Y; M(II) = Zn(II) and Ln(III) = Ho(III) and Er(III)) of formula [M(μ-L)(μ-OAc)Ln(NO(3))(2)], one nitrate-diphenoxo triply bridged Ni(II)-Tb(III) complex, [Ni(μ-L)(μ-NO(3))Tb(NO(3))(2)]·2CH(3)OH, and two diphenoxo doubly bridged Ni(II)-Ln(III) complexes (Ln(III) = Eu, Gd) of formula [Ni(H(2)O)(μ-L)Ln(NO(3))(3)]·2CH(3)OH have been prepared in one pot reaction from the compartmental ligand N,N',N"-trimethyl-N,N"-bis(2-hydroxy-3-methoxy-5-methylbenzyl)diethylenetriamine (H(2)L). Moreover, Ni(II)-Ln(III) complexes bearing benzoate or 9-anthracenecarboxylate bridging groups of formula [Ni(μ-L)(μ-BzO)Dy(NO(3))(2)] and [Ni(μ-L)(μ-9-An)Dy(9-An)(NO(3))(2)]·3CH(3)CN have also been successfully synthesized. In acetate-diphenoxo triply bridged complexes, the acetate bridging group forces the structure to be folded with an average hinge angle in the M(μ-O(2))Ln bridging fragment of ~22°, whereas nitrate-diphenoxo doubly bridged complexes and diphenoxo-doubly bridged complexes exhibit more planar structures with hinge angles of ~13° and ~2°, respectively. All Ni(II)-Ln(III) complexes exhibit ferromagnetic interactions between Ni(II) and Ln(III) ions and, in the case of the Gd(III) complexes, the J(NiGd) coupling increases weakly but significantly with the planarity of the M-(O)(2)-Gd bridging fragment and with the increase of the Ni-O-Gd angle. Density functional theory (DFT) theoretical calculations on the Ni(II)Gd(III) complexes and model compounds support these magneto-structural correlations as well as the experimental J(NiGd) values, which were found to be ~1.38 and ~2.1 cm(-1) for the folded [Ni(μ-L)(μ-OAc)Gd(NO(3))(2)] and planar [Ni(H(2)O)(μ-L)Gd(NO(3))(3)]·2CH(3)OH complexes, respectively. The Ni(II)Dy(III) complexes exhibit slow relaxation of the magnetization with Δ/k(B) energy barriers under 1000 Oe applied magnetic fields of 9.2 and 10.1 K for [Ni(μ-L)(μ-BzO)Dy(NO(3))(2)] and [Ni(μ-L)(μ-9-An)Dy(9-An)(NO(3))(2)]·3CH(3)CN, respectively.  相似文献

A family of homo-valent [Co(II)(7)(OH)(6)(L(1))(6)](NO(3))(2) (1), [(MeOH)(2) is a subset of Co(II)(7)(OH)(6)(L(1))(6)](NO(3))(2) (2) (where L(1)H = 2-iminomethyl-6-methoxyphenol) and hetero-valent [(NO(3))(2) is a subset of Co(III)Co(II)(6)(OH)(6)(L(2))(6)](NO(3))·3MeCN (4) (where L(2)H = 2-iminophenyl-6-methoxyphenol) complexes possess metallic skeletons describing planar hexagonal discs. Their organic exteriors form double-bowl shaped topologies, and coupled with their 3-D connectivity, this results in the formation of molecular cavities in the solid state. These confined spaces are shown to behave as host units in the solid state for guests including solvent molecules and charge balancing counter anions. Magnetic susceptibility measurements on 2 and 4 reveal weak ferro- and ferrimagnetism, respectively. The utilisation of other Co(II) salt precursors gives rise to entirely different species including the mononuclear and trinuclear complexes [Co(II)(L(2))(2)] (5) and [Co(III)(2)Na(I)(1)(L(3))(6)](BF(4)) (6) (where L(3)H = 2-iminomethyl-4-bromo-6-methoxyphenol).  相似文献

The oxo-transfer catalyst (nitro)(pyridyl)cobalt(III) tetraphenylporphyrin has been reinvestigated by substitution of the distal pyridine ligand with 4-N,N-dimethylaminopyridine and 3,5-dichloropyridine. Differences in their structures and in the reactivity of the compounds toward catalytic secondary oxo transfer were investigated by FT-IR and UV-visible spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, X-ray diffraction, semiempirical calculations, and reactions with alkenes in dichloromethane solution. Very modest differences in the hexacoordinate compounds' structures were predicted and observed, but the secondary oxo-transfer reactivity at the nitro ligand varies markedly with the basicity of the pyridine ligand and the position of the coordination equilibrium. Oxo transfer occurs rapidly through the pentacoordinate species (nitro)cobalt(III) tetraphenylporphyrin that is generated by dissociation of the pyridine ligand and therefore is strongly related to the Hammett parameters of these nitrogenous bases. The reactive pentacoordinate species CoTPP(NO(2)) can be generated in solution by addition of lithium perchlorate to (py)CoTPP(NO(2)) by Lewis acid-base interactions or more simply by using the weaker Lewis base Cl(2)py instead of py as the distal ligand. In contrast to pentacoordinate (nitro)iron porphyrins, disproportionation reactions of CoTPP(NO(2)) compound are not evident. This pentacoordinate derivative, CoTPP(NO(2)), is reactive enough to stoichiometrically oxidize allyl bromide in minutes. Preliminary catalytic oxidation reaction studies of alkenes also indicate the involvement of both radical and nonradical oxo-transfer steps in the mechanism, suggesting formation of a peroxynitro intermediate in the reaction of the reduced CoTPP(NO) with O(2).  相似文献

Synthetic methods are described that have resulted in the formation of seven heterometallic complexes, all of which contain partially deprotonated forms of the ligand triethanolamine (teaH(3)). These compounds are [Mn(III)(4)Co(III)(2)Co(II)(2)O(2)(teaH(2))(2)(teaH)(0.82)(dea)(3.18)(O(2)CMe)(2)(OMe)(2)](BF(4))(2)(O(2)CMe)(2)·3.18MeOH·H(2)O (1), [Mn(II)(2)Mn(III)(2)Co(III)(2)(teaH)(4)(OMe)(2)(acac)(4)](NO(3))(2)·2MeOH (2), [Mn(III)(2)Ni(II)(4)(teaH)(4)(O(2)CMe)(6)]·2MeCN (3), [Mn(III)(2)Co(II)(2)(teaH)(2)(sal)(2)(acac)(2)(MeOH)(2)]·2MeOH (4), [Mn(II)(2)Fe(III)(2)(teaH)(2)(paa)(4)](NO(3))(2)·2MeOH·CH(2)Cl(2) (5), [Mn(II)Mn(III)(2)Co(III)(2)O(teaH)(2)(dea)(Iso)(OMe)(F)(2)(Phen)(2)](BF(4))(NO(3))·3MeOH (6) and [Mn(II)(2)Mn(III)Co(III)(2)(OH)(teaH)(3)(teaH(2))(acac)(3)](NO(3))(2)·3CH(2)Cl(2) (7). All of the compounds contain manganese, combined with 3d transition metal ions such as Fe, Co and Ni. The crystal structures are described and examples of 'rods', tetranuclear 'butterfly' and 'triangular' Mn(3) cluster motifs, flanked in some cases by diamagnetic cobalt(III) centres, are presented. Detailed DC and AC magnetic susceptibility and magnetization studies, combined with spin Hamiltonian analysis, have yielded J values and identified the spin ground states. In most cases, the energies of the low-lying excited states have also been obtained. The features of note include the 'inverse butterfly' spin arrangement in 2, 4 and 5. A S = 5/2 ground state occurs, for the first time, in the Mn(III)(2)Mn(II) triangular moiety within 6, the many other reported [Mn(3)O](6+) examples having S = ? or 3/2 ground states. Compound 7 provides the first example of a Mn(II)(2)Mn(III) triangle, here within a pentanuclear Mn(3)Co(2) cluster.  相似文献

The controlled decomposition of the sandwich-type polyoxometalates K(12)[(M(OH(2))(2))(3)(A-alpha-PW(9)O(34))(2)] (where M = Mn(II) or Co(II)) in 0.5 M NaCl yields a new family of transition metal substituted POMs of the general formula [((MOH(2))M(2)PW(9)O(34))(2)(PW(6)O(26))](17)(-) (where M = Mn(II) (1Mn) or Co(II) (1Co)). The structure of 1Mn, determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction (a = 17.4682(10) A, b = 22.3071(12) A, c = 35.1195(18) A, beta = 95.898(1) degrees, monoclinic, P2(1)/c, Z = 4, R(1) = 6.19%, based on 50264 independent reflections), consists of two B-alpha-(Mn(II)OH(2))Mn(II)(2)PW(9)O(34)(3)(-) units joined by a B-type hexavacant PW(6)O(26)(11)(-) fragment to form a C-shaped polyoxometalate. A low resolution X-ray structure of the Co(II) analogue, 1Co, was also obtained. The UV-visible spectrum of 1Co shows the characteristic charge-transfer bands of polyoxometalates as well as a new Co-centered peak (560 nm, epsilon = 416 M(-)(1) cm(-)(1)) which appears at a higher wavelength relative to that exhibited by the parent A-type sandwich, K(12)[(Co(OH(2))(2))(3)(A-alpha-PW(9)O(34))(2)]. The methyltricaprylammonium salt of 1Mn is an effective catalyst for the H(2)O(2)-based epoxidation of cis-cyclooctene, cyclohexene, and 1-hexene.  相似文献

A series of coordination polymers with anionic, cationic, and neutral metal-carboxylate frameworks have been synthesized by using a flexible tetrapodal ligand tetrakis[4-(carboxyphenyl)oxamethyl] methane acid (H(4)X). The reactions between divalent transition-metal ions and H(4)X ligands gave [M(3)X(2)]·[NH(2)(CH(3))(2)](2)·8DMA (M = Co (1), Mn (2), Cd(3)) which have anionic metal-carboxylate frameworks with NH(2)(CH(3))(2)(+) cations filled in channels. The reactions of trivalent metal ions Y(III), Dy(III), and In(III) with H(4)X ligands afforded cationic metal-carboxylate frameworks [M(3)X(2)·(NO(3))·(DMA)(2)·(H(2)O)]·5DMA·2H(2)O (M = Y(4), Dy(5)) and [In(2)X·(OH)(2)]·3DMA·6H(2)O (6) with the NO(3)(-) and OH(-) serving as counterions, respectively. Moreover, a neutral metal-carboxylate framework [Pb(2)X·(DMA)(2)]·2DMA (7) can also be isolated from reaction of Pb(II) and H(4)X ligands. The charged metal-carboxylate frameworks 1-5 have selectivity for specific counterions in the reaction system, and compounds 1 and 2 display ion-exchange behavior. Moreover, magnetic property measurements on compounds 1, 2, and 5 indicate that there exists weak antiferromagnetic interactions between magnetic centers in the three compounds.  相似文献

Two new sandwich-type heteropolyoxometalates, Na(14)[Co(2)Bi(2)(beta-B-CoW(9)O(34))(2)].48H(2)O (1) and Na(14)[beta-B-Zn(2)Bi(2)(ZnW(9)O(34))(2)].51H(2)O (2), have been synthesized at pH = 7.5-8 and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-vis, TG-DSC and electrochemistry. Structural analysis indicates that both polyanions, M(2)Bi(2)(beta-B-MW(9)O(34))(2)](14-) (M = Co(II) and Zn(II)), are isomorphic and consist of two unprecedented [beta-B-MW(9)O(34)](12-) subunits linked by two M(II) and two Bi(III) which are coplanar. The polyanions are also the first examples of dimeric heteropolyanions with Bi(III) only as the second (linking) heteroatom and the transition metals (Co(II) or Zn(II)) as the first and second heteroatoms as well. The lower absorption of nu(W-O(d)) (915 cm(-1)) in the IR is a simple and feasible judgment of sandwich-type polyanions with a transition metal ion as a central heteroatom.  相似文献

Three Co(II)-malonate complexes, namely, (C(5)H(7)N(2))(4)[Co(C(3)H(2)O(4))(2)(H(2)O)(2)](NO(3))(2) (1), (C(5)H(7)N(2))(4)[Co(C(3)H(2)O(4))(2)(H(2)O)(2)](ClO(4))(2) (2), and (C(5)H(7)N(2))(4)[Co(C(3)H(2)O(4))(2)(H(2)O)(2)](PF(6))(2) (3) [C(5)H(7)N(2) = protonated 2-aminopyridine, C(3)H(4)O(4) = malonic acid, NO(3)(-) = nitrate, ClO(4)(-) = perchlorate, PF(6)(-) = hexafluorophosphate], have been synthesized from purely aqueous media, and their crystal structures have been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. A thorough analysis of Hirshfeld surfaces and fingerprint plots facilitates a comparison of intermolecular interactions in 1-3, which are crucial in building supramolecular architectures. When these complexes are structurally compared with their previously reported analogous Ni(II) or Mg(II) compounds, a very interesting feature regarding the role of counteranions has emerged. This phenomenon can be best described as anion-induced formation of extended supramolecular networks of the type lone pair-π/π-π/π-anion-π/π-lone pair and lone pair-π/π-π/π-anion involving various weak forces like lone pair-π, π-π, and anion-π interactions. The strength of these π contacts has been estimated using DFT calculations (M06/6-31+G*), and the formation energy of the supramolecular networks has been also evaluated. The influence of the anion (NO(3)(-), ClO(4)(-), and PF(6)(-)) on the total interaction energy of the assembly is also studied.  相似文献

A family of thirteen tetranuclear heterometallic zinc(II)-lanthanide(III) complexes of the hexa-imine macrocycle (L(Pr))(6-), with general formula Zn(II)(3)Ln(III)(L(Pr))(NO(3))(3)·xsolvents (Ln = La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm or Yb), were prepared in a one-pot synthesis using a 3:1:3:3 reaction of zinc(II) acetate, the appropriate lanthanide(III) nitrate, the dialdehyde 1,4-diformyl-2,3-dihydroxybenzene (H(2)L(1)) and 1,3-diaminopropane. A hexanuclear homometallic zinc(II) macrocyclic complex [Zn(6)(L(Pr))(OAc)(5)(OH)(H(2)O)]·3H(2)O was obtained using a 2:0:1:1 ratio of the same reagents. A control experiment using a 1:0:1:1 ratio failed to generate the lanthanide-free [Zn(3)(L(Pr))] macrocyclic complex. The reaction of H(2)L(1) and zinc(II) acetate in a 1:1 ratio yielded the pentanuclear homometallic complex of the dialdehyde H(2)L(1), [Zn(5)(L(1))(5)(H(2)O)(6)]·3H(2)O. An X-ray crystal structure determination revealed [Zn(3)(II)Pr(III)(L(Pr))(NO(3))(2)(DMF)(3)](NO(3))·0.9DMF has the large ten-coordinate lanthanide(III) ion bound in the central O(6) site with two bidentate nitrate anions completing the O(10) coordination sphere. The three square pyramidal zinc(II) ions are in the outer N(2)O(2) sites with a fifth donor from DMF. Measurement of the magnetic properties of [Zn(II)(3)Dy(III)(L(Pr))(NO(3))(3)(MeOH)(3)]·4H(2)O with a weak external dc field showed that it has a frequency-dependent out-of-phase component of ac susceptibility, indicative of slow relaxation of the magnetization (SMM behaviour). Likewise, the Er and Yb analogues are field-induced SMMs; the latter is only the second example of a Yb-based SMM. The neodymium, ytterbium and erbium complexes are luminescent in the solid phase, but only the ytterbium and neodymium complexes show strong lanthanide-centred luminescence in DMF solution.  相似文献

Complexes of the (nitro)( meso-tetrakis(2- N-methylpyridyl)porphyinato)cobalt(III) cation, [LCoTMpyP(2)(NO 2)] (4+), in which L = water or ethanol have been immobilized through ionic attraction within Nafion films (Naf). These immobilized six-coordinate species, [LCoTMPyP(2)(NO 2)/Naf], have been found to catalyze the oxidation of triphenylphosphine in ethanol solution by dioxygen, therefore retaining the capacity to activate dioxygen catalytically without an additional reducing agent as was previously observed in nonaqueous solution for the non-ionic (nitro)cobalt porphyrin analogs. Heating these immobilized six-coordinate species under vacuum conditions results in the formation of the five-coordinate nitro derivatives, [CoTMPyP(2)(NO 2)/Naf] at 85 degrees C and [CoTMPyP(2)/Naf] at 110 degrees C. The catalytic oxidation of gas-phase cyclohexene with O 2 is supported only by the resulting immobilized five-coordinate nitro complex as was previously seen with the corresponding solution-phase catalyst in dichloromethane solution. The simultaneous catalytic oxidation of triphenylphosphine and cyclohexene with O 2 in the presence of the Nafion-bound six-coordinate ethanol nitro complex is also observed; however, this process is not seen for the CoTPP derivative in dichloromethane solution. The oxidation reactions do not occur with unmodified Nafion film or with Nafion-supported [BrCo(III)TmpyP]/Naf or [Co(II)TmpyP]/Naf, indicating the necessity for the nitro/nitrosyl ligand in the oxidation mechanism. The existence of a second reactive intermediate is indicated because the two simultaneous oxidation reactions depend on two distinct oxygen atom-transfer steps having different reactivity. The absence of homogeneous cyclohexene oxidation by the six-coordinate (H 2O)CoTPP(NO 2) derivatives in the presence of Ph 3P and O 2 in dichloromethane solution indicates that the second reactive intermediate is lost by an unidentified route only in solution, implying that the immobilization of it in Nafion allows it to react with cyclohexene. Although direct observation of this species has not been achieved, a comparitive DFT study of likely intermediates in several catalytic oxidation mechanisms at the BP 6-31G* level supports the possibility that this intermediate is a peroxynitro species on the basis of relative thermodynamic accessibility. The alternate intermediates evaluated include the reduced cobalt(II) porphyrin, the dioxygen adduct cobalt(III)-O 2 (-), the oxidized cobalt(II) pi-cation radical, and the nitrito complex, cobalt(III)-ONO.  相似文献

Two novel heterobimetallic complexes of formula [Cr(bpy)(ox)(2)Co(Me(2)phen)(H(2)O)(2)][Cr(bpy)(ox)(2)]·4H(2)O (1) and [Cr(phen)(ox)(2)Mn(phen)(H(2)O)(2)][Cr(phen)(ox)(2)]·H(2)O (2) (bpy = 2,2'-bipyridine, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, and Me(2)phen = 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline) have been obtained through the "complex-as-ligand/complex-as-metal" strategy by using Ph(4)P[CrL(ox)(2)]·H(2)O (L = bpy and phen) and [ML'(H(2)O)(4)](NO(3))(2) (M = Co and Mn; L' = phen and Me(2)phen) as precursors. The X-ray crystal structures of 1 and 2 consist of bis(oxalato)chromate(III) mononuclear anions, [Cr(III)L(ox)(2)](-), and oxalato-bridged chromium(III)-cobalt(II) and chromium(III)-manganese(II) dinuclear cations, [Cr(III)L(ox)(μ-ox)M(II)L'(H(2)O)(2)](+)[M = Co, L = bpy, and L' = Me(2)phen (1); M = Mn and L = L' = phen (2)]. These oxalato-bridged Cr(III)M(II) dinuclear cationic entities of 1 and 2 result from the coordination of a [Cr(III)L(ox)(2)](-) unit through one of its two oxalato groups toward a [M(II)L'(H(2)O)(2)](2+) moiety with either a trans- (M = Co) or a cis-diaqua (M = Mn) configuration. The two distinct Cr(III) ions in 1 and 2 adopt a similar trigonally compressed octahedral geometry, while the high-spin M(II) ions exhibit an axially (M = Co) or trigonally compressed (M = Mn) octahedral geometry in 1 and 2, respectively. Variable temperature (2.0-300 K) magnetic susceptibility and variable-field (0-5.0 T) magnetization measurements for 1 and 2 reveal the presence of weak intramolecular ferromagnetic interactions between the Cr(III) (S(Cr) = 3/2) ion and the high-spin Co(II) (S(Co) = 3/2) or Mn(II) (S(Mn) = 5/2) ions across the oxalato bridge within the Cr(III)M(II) dinuclear cationic entities (M = Co and Mn) [J = +2.2 (1) and +1.2 cm(-1) (2); H = -JS(Cr)·S(M)]. Density functional electronic structure calculations for 1 and 2 support the occurrence of S = 3 Cr(III)Co(II) and S = 4 Cr(III)Mn(II) ground spin states, respectively. A simple molecular orbital analysis of the electron exchange mechanism suggests a subtle competition between individual ferro- and antiferromagnetic contributions through the σ- and/or π-type pathways of the oxalato bridge, mainly involving the d(yz)(Cr)/d(xy)(M), d(xz)(Cr)/d(xy)(M), d(x(2)-y(2))(Cr)/d(xy)(M), d(yz)(Cr)/d(xz)(M), and d(xz)(Cr)/d(yz)(M) pairs of orthogonal magnetic orbitals and the d(x(2)-y(2))(Cr)/d(x(2)-y(2))(M), d(xz)(Cr)/d(xz)(M), and d(yz)(Cr)/d(yz)(M) pairs of nonorthogonal magnetic orbitals, which would be ultimately responsible for the relative magnitude of the overall ferromagnetic coupling in 1 and 2.  相似文献

[Cu(II)(3)Tb(III)(L(Pr))(NO(3))(2)(MeOH)(H(2)O)(2)](NO(3))·3H(2)O is a rare example of a 3d-4f single-molecule magnet prepared using a macrocyclic ligand: at low T, it exhibits frequency-dependent alternating-current susceptibility, indicative of slow relaxation of the magnetization.  相似文献

To explore the effect of terminal groups of tripodal ligands on the photoluminescence behaviors of the complexes, lanthanide (Eu(III), Tb(III)) nitrate complexes with two flexible amide-type tripodal ligands, 2,2',2'-nitrilotris-(N-phenylmethyl)-acetamide (L(I)) and 2,2',2'-nitrilotris-(N-naphthalenemethyl)-acetamide (L(II)) were synthesized and characterized. The general formulas of the complexes are [EuL(I)(2)(C(3)H(6)O)]·(NO(3))(3)·(HCCl(3))·(H(2)O)(4) (1), TbL(I)(2)(NO(3))(3)·2H(2)O (2), EuL(II)(NO(3))(3) (3), and TbL(II)(NO(3))(3) (4). Among them, 1, 3, and 4 were characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 demonstrates a 1 : 2 (ML(2)) capsule type stoichiometry, and the complexes 3 and 4 confirm 1 : 1 (ML) type coordination structures. What is more, the triplet energy levels of L(I) and L(II) are 24,331 and 19,802 cm(-1), which were determined from the phosphorescence spectra of the Gd(III) complexes. Ligand modification by changing the terminal groups alters their triplet energy, and results in a different sensitizing ability towards lanthanide ions. The density functional theory (DFT) calculations of energy levels including HOMO, LUMO, singlet, and triplet energies tuned by the different terminal groups are also discussed in detail, and the trends are almost consistent with the experimental conclusions.  相似文献

Five Co(II) silicotungstate complexes are reported. The centrosymmetric heptanuclear compound K(20)[{(B-beta-SiW(9)O(33)(OH))(beta-SiW(8)O(29)(OH)(2))Co(3)(H(2)O)}(2)Co(H(2)O)(2)]47 H(2)O (1) consists of two {(B-beta-SiW(9)O(33)(OH))(beta-SiW(8)O(29)(OH)(2))Co(3)(H(2)O)} units connected by a {CoO(4)(H(2)O)(2)} group. In the chiral species K(7)[Co(1.5)(H(2)O)(7))][(gamma-SiW(10)O(36))(beta-SiW(8)O(30)(OH))Co(4)(OH)(H(2)O)(7)]36 H(2)O (2), a {gamma-SiW(10)O(36)} and a {beta-SiW(8)O(30)(OH)} unit enclose a mononuclear {CoO(4)(H(2)O)(2)} group and a {Co(3)O(7)(OH)(H(2)O)(5)} fragment. The two trinuclear Co(II) clusters present in 1 enclose a mu(4)-O atom, while in 2 a mu(3)-OH bridging group connects the three paramagnetic centers of the trinuclear unit, inducing significantly larger Co-L-Co (L=mu(4)-O (1), mu(3)-OH (2)) bridging angles in 2 (theta(av(Co-L-Co))=99.1 degrees ) than in 1 (theta(av(Co-L-Co))=92.8 degrees ). Weaker ferromagnetic interactions were found in 2 than in 1, in agreement with larger Co-L-Co angles in 2. The electrochemistry of 1 was studied in detail. The two chemically reversible redox couples observed in the positive potential domain were attributed to the redox processes of Co(II) centers, and indicated that two types of Co(II) centers in the structure were oxidized in separate waves. Redox activity of the seventh Co(II) center was not detected. Preliminary experiments indicated that 1 catalyzes the reduction of nitrite and NO. Remarkably, a reversible interaction exists with NO or related species. The hybrid tetranuclear complexes K(5)Na(3)[(A-alpha-SiW(9)O(34))Co(4)(OH)(3)(CH(3)COO)(3)]18 H(2)O (3) and K(5)Na(3)[(A-alpha-SiW(9)O(34))Co(4)(OH)(N(3))(2)(CH(3)COO)(3)]18 H(2)O (4) were characterized: in both, a tetrahedral {Co(4)(L(1))(L(2))(2)(CH(3)COO)(3)} (3: L(1)=L(2)=OH; 4: L(1)=OH, L(2)=N(3)) unit capped the [A-alpha-SiW(9)O(34)](10-) trivacant polyanion. The octanuclear complex K(8)Na(8)[(A-alpha-SiW(9)O(34))(2)Co(8)(OH)(6)(H(2)O)(2)(CO(3))(3)]52 H(2)O (5), containing two {Co(4)O(9)(OH)(3)(H(2)O)} units, was also obtained. Compounds 2, 3, 4, and 5 were less stable than 1, but their partial electrochemical characterization was possible; the electronic effect expected for 3 and 4 was observed.  相似文献

A comparison of the electrochemical properties of a series of dinuclear complexes [M(2)(L)(RCO(2))(2)](+) with M = Mn or Co, L = 2,6-bis(N,N-bis-(2-pyridylmethyl)-sulfonamido)-4-methylphenolato (bpsmp(-)) or 2,6-bis(N,N-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)aminomethyl)-4-tert-butylphenolato (bpbp(-)) and R = H, CH(3), CF(3) or 3,4-dimethoxybenzoate demonstrates: (i) The electron-withdrawing sulfonyl groups in the backbone of bpsmp(-) stabilize the [M(2)(bpsmp)(RCO(2))(2)](+) complexes in their M(II)(2) oxidation state compared to their [M(2)(bpbp)(RCO(2))(2)](+) analogues. Manganese complexes are stabilised by approximately 550 mV and cobalt complexes by 650 mV. (ii) The auxiliary bridging carboxylato ligands further attenuate the metal-based redox chemistry. Substitution of two acetato for two trifluoroacetato ligands shifts redox couples by 300-400 mV. Within the working potential window, reversible or quasi-reversible M(II)M(III)? M(II)(2) processes range from 0.31 to 1.41 V for the [Co(2)(L)(RCO(2))(2)](+/2+) complexes and from 0.54 to 1.41 V for the [Mn(2)(L)(RCO(2))(2)](+/2+) complexes versus Ag/AgCl for E(M(II)M(III)/M(II)(2)). The extreme limits are defined by the complexes [M(2)(bpbp)(CH(3)CO(2))(2)](+) and [M(2)(bpsmp)(CF(3)CO(2))(2)](+) for both metal ions. Thus, tuning the ligand field in these dinuclear complexes makes possible a range of around 0.9 V and 1.49 V for the one-electron E(M(II)M(III)/M(II)(2)) couple of the Mn and Co complexes, respectively. The second one-electron process, M(II)M(III)? M(III)(2) was also observed in some cases. The lowest potential recorded for the E°(M(III)(2)/M(II)M(III)) couple was 0.63 V for [Co(2)(bpbp)(CH(3)CO(2))(2)](2+) and the highest measurable potential was 2.23 V versus Ag/AgCl for [Co(2)(bpsmp)(CF(3)CO(2))(2)](2+).  相似文献
