应用不对称性参量对周期量级强激光脉冲下原子电离分布的反演不对称性进行了定量分析.采用非微扰的散射理论解析方法和三个激光模式模拟超短脉冲,研究不对称性参量随激光强度、包络位相和脉冲宽度的变化.计算表明,这种不对称性是随着波包的绝对位相以正弦形式变化而变化,其最大不对称程度依赖于脉冲强度和脉冲宽度.随着激光强度的提高,不对称性参量是先降低到最小值然后增加.对脉冲宽度相对长、有几个周期量级的高强度激光,其不对称性具有显著的特点.因此,提高脉冲强度有助于对包络绝对位相变化的观察.  相似文献

用一维粒子模拟研究了超短脉冲在等离子体中传播时产生的光孤子结构以及由此形成的脉冲分裂现象,比较了不同峰值强度和脉冲宽度对形成光孤子以及脉冲传播方式的影响.研究表明: 脉冲宽度在若干个到十几个振荡周期的超短脉冲在等离子体中可能形成高速传播的光孤子;脉冲宽度增加和强度增大两种方式都可以使得孤子结构的传播速度减慢,且由于高阶孤子的衰变使得初始激光脉冲在等离子体中发生分裂,形成两个以不同速度向前传播的孤子结构.由孤子阶数的理论计算可较好地预言激光脉冲在等离子体中分裂的子脉冲数. 关键词: 光孤子 超短激光脉冲 等离子体 粒子模拟  相似文献

High intensity pulsed ultrasound can produce significant mechanical tissue fractionation with sharp boundaries ("histotripsy"). At a tissue-fluid interface, histotripsy produces clearly demarcated tissue erosion and the erosion efficiency depends on pulse parameters. Acoustic cavitation is believed to be the primary mechanism for the histotripsy process. To investigate the physical basis of the dependence of tissue erosion on pulse parameters, an optical method was used to monitor the effects of pulse parameters on the cavitating bubble cloud generated by histotripsy pulses at a tissue-water interface. The pulse parameters studied include pulse duration, peak rarefactional pressure, and pulse repetition frequency (PRF). Results show that the duration of growth and collapse (collapse cycle) of the bubble cloud increased with increasing pulse duration, peak rarefactional pressure, and PRF when the next pulse arrived after the collapse of the previous bubble cloud. When the PRF was too high such that the next pulse arrived before the collapse of the previous bubble cloud, only a portion of histotripsy pulses could effectively create and collapse the bubble cloud. The collapse cycle of the bubble cloud also increased with increasing gas concentration. These results may explain previous in vitro results on effects of pulse parameters on tissue erosion.  相似文献

Extracellular recordings from the cervical connectives in both long- and short-winged E. carolinus reveal auditory units that are sensitive to frequencies > 15 kHz with best sensitivity at 35 kHz (79 dB SPL threshold). Stimuli in this frequency range also elicit a startle response in long-winged individuals flying on a tether. For single-pulse stimuli, startle and neck connective thresholds decrease with increasing ultrasound duration, consistent with the operation of an exponential integrator with a approximately 32.5-ms time constant. There is evidence for adaptation to long duration pulses (> 20 ms) in the neck connectives, however, as it is more difficult to elicit responses to the later stimuli of a series. For paired-pulse stimuli consisting of 1-ms pulses of 40 kHz, temporal integration was demonstrated for pulse separations < 5 ms. For longer pulse separations, startle thresholds were elevated by 3 dB and appear to be optimally combined. Startle thresholds to 5 ms frequency modulated (FM) sweeps (60-30 kHz) and pure tone pulses (40 kHz) did not differ. The characteristics and sensitivity of this ultrasound-induced startle response did not differ between males and females. As in some other tympanate insects, ultrasound sensitivity in E. carolinus presumably functions in the context of predation from echolocating bats.  相似文献

Photoionization of hydrogen atoms in few-cycle laser pulses is studied numerically. The total ionization probability, the instantaneous ionization probability, and the partial ionization probabilities in a pair of opposite directions are obtained. The partial ionization probabilities are not always equal to each other which is termed as inversion asymmetry. The variation of asymmetry degree with the CE phase, the pulse duration and the pulse intensity is studied. It is found that the pulse intensity affects the asymmetry degree in many aspects. Firstly, the asymmetry is more distinct at higher intensities than that at lower intensities when the pulse duration exceeds 4 cycles; secondly, the maximal asymmetry in lower intensities varies with the CE phase visibly while at higher intensities not; thirdly, the partial ionization probabilities equal to each other for some special CE phases. For lower pulse intensities, the corresponding value of CE phase is always 0.5π and 1.5π, while for higher pulse intensities, the corresponding value varies with the pulse intensity. Similar phenomena were observed in a recent experiment using few-cycle radio-frequency (RF) pulses.  相似文献

We have measured coincident ion pairs produced in the Coulomb explosion of H2 by 8-30 fs laser pulses at different laser intensities. We show how the Coulomb explosion of H2 can be experimentally controlled by tuning the appropriate pulse duration and laser intensity. For laser pulses less than 15 fs, we found that the rescattering-induced Coulomb explosion is dominated by first-return recollisions, while for longer pulses and at the proper laser intensity, the third return can be made to be the major one. Additionally, by choosing suitable pulse duration and laser intensity, we show H2 Coulomb explosion proceeding through three distinct processes that are simultaneously observable, each exhibiting different characteristics and revealing distinctive time information about the H2 evolution in the laser pulse.  相似文献

We investigated the initial modification and ablation of crystalline silicon with single and multiple Ti:sapphire laser pulses of 5 to 400 fs duration. In accordance with earlier established models, we found the phenomena amorphization, melting, re-crystallization, nucleated vaporization, and ablation to occur with increasing laser fluence down to the shortest pulse durations. We noticed new morphological features (bubbles) as well as familiar ones (ripples, columns). A nearly constant ablation threshold fluence on the order of 0.2 J/cm2 for all pulse durations and multiple-pulse irradiation was observed. For a duration of ≈100 fs, significant incubation can be observed, whereas for 5 fs pulses, the ablation threshold does not depend on the pulse number within the experimental error. 利用预估校正-时域有限差分(PC-FDTD)法求解全波Maxwell-Bloch方程,研究介质粒子数密度(N)对飞秒Gauss型激光脉冲在Λ型三能级原子介质中传播及光谱特性的影响.结果表明:小面积2π脉冲在不同N介质中都不发生分裂,脉冲频谱基本没有新的高频成分产生,随N增大中心频率附近光谱强度明显减小.面积4π脉冲,在N较大的稀疏介质及稠密介质中都产生分裂,在稀疏介质中随N增大频谱展宽幅度及高频成分强度增大,但在稠密介质中频谱展宽变小且远小于N较大时的稀疏介质情况.大面积8π脉冲,脉冲分裂情况与4π脉冲情况相似,但随N增大频谱展宽幅度及高频成分强度单调增大,且在稠密介质中的频谱展宽幅度及高频成分强度远大于N较小的稀疏介质情况.  相似文献

提出一种直接得到脉宽稳定的单个宽谱阿秒脉冲的新方法.利用波长为800 nm脉宽为5 fs的超短脉冲叠加上偏振方向与主脉冲成π/3,脉宽同样为5 fs的二次谐波脉冲驱动氦原子,可以得到宽度达到50 eV的超连续谱.当二次谐波的强度大于1014 W/cm2时,超连续谱的位置以及谱宽几乎不会随着二次谐波脉冲的强度的改变而改变.对85—125 eV的超连续谱进行滤波可以直接得到100 as左右的单个阿秒脉冲,这个性质对于实验上获得单个宽谱阿秒脉冲而言是非常有利的. 关键词: 阿秒脉冲 超连续谱  相似文献

The spectral and temporal intensity distribution expression for the chirped femtosecond laser pulse diffracted by a rectangle reflection grating is derived. The effects of the chirped coefficient on the spatiotemporal and spectral characteristics are theoretically investigated in detail, and a criterion for judging whether or not the diffraction pulse is just split into two independent pulses in the temporal domain is obtained. The results show that the envelope curve of spectral intensity on the diffraction axis is more blue-shift, and its full width at e? 1 maximum is wider for bigger chirped coefficient. The principal maximum on the temporal axis can split into two independent principal maximums for enough height from the upper and the nether reflection surface of the grating. Each principal maximum splits into two smooth pulses, namely one principal pulse and one secondary pulse, and the secondary pulse gradually increases with the increasing of the chirped coefficient; the duration of two principal pulses increases with the increasing of the height of the upper and the nether reflection surface of the grating.  相似文献

Based on the diffraction integral and Fourier transform, the fields of chirped pulses passing through a thin lens are derived. Influences of Fresnel number and chirp parameter on the transverse intensity distributions of the chirped pulses at focal plane are illustrated with numerical results. Also, effect of pulse duration on the intensities is investigated. It is found that the width of transverse intensity distribution of the chirped pulses decreases with increasing the chirp parameter and the narrowing behavior presents more obvious with smaller Fresnel number. A physical explanation for the narrowing behavior is given on the basis of a simplified form of the field expression.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to further assess the role of inertial cavitation in ultrasound-induced lung hemorrhage by examining the effect of pulse polarity at a common in situ (at the lung surface) peak rarefactional pressure [pr(in situ)] and at a common in situ pulse intensity integral (PII(in situ)). A total of 60 rats was divided into three experimental groups of 20 animals per group and randomly exposed to pulsed ultrasound. The groups were exposed as follows: Group 1 to 0 degree polarity pulses (compression followed by rarefraction) at a pr(in situ) of 3.48 MPa and a PII(in situ) of 4.78 Ws/m2, group 2 to 180 degree polarity pulses (rarefraction followed by compression) at a pr(in situ) of 3.72 MPa and a PII(in situ) of 2.55 Ws/m2, and group 3 to 180 degree polarity pulses at a pr(in situ) of 4.97 MPa and a PII(in situ) of 4.79 Ws/m2. For all experimental groups, the frequency was 2.46 MHz, the exposure duration was 240 s, the pulse repetition frequency was 2.5 kHz, and the pulse duration was 0.42 micros. Six sham animals were also randomly distributed among the experimental animals. The lesion surface area and depth were determined for each rat as well as lesion occurrence (percentage of rats with lesions) per group. It was found that lesion occurrence and size correlated better with PII(in situ) than with pr(in situ), suggesting that a mechanism other than inertial cavitation was responsible for the damage.  相似文献

采用广义含时伪谱方法数值求解原子在激光脉冲作用下的动量空间含时薛定谔方程,研究了高频激光脉宽对原子光电子发射谱的影响.数值模拟表明,随着激光脉冲宽度的增加,光电子谱干涉结构的振荡幅值逐渐减小,其最大峰值的强度和位置取决于产生有效电离的最大即时强度.通过分析光电子谱的变化规律能进一步加深对高频强场电离产生的动力学干涉效应的理解.  相似文献

High power femtosecond pulses in the Vacuum Ultra Violet (VUV) have been generated through the nonlinear interaction of femtosecond KrF pulses with xenon and argon gas. Under near resonant two photon excitation of xenon by a femtosecond KrF laser, parametric four wave mixing processes lead to VUV pulses at 147 and 108 nm with pulse energies in the 10 µJ range. Tuning is demonstrated by mixing the KrF pulse with a 500 fs dye laser pulse at 497 nm, resulting in 165 nm emission. In argon, a three photon resonance leads to third harmonic generation at 83 nm and micro joule level pulses near 127 nm generated by a six wave mixing process. Since the spectra of the VUV pulses show an ionization-induced blue shift with increasing KrF laser intensity, the VUV pulses can be shown to have temporal duration less than the pulse width (450 fs) of the KrF laser. Blue shifting of the third harmonic of the KrF laser in argon is dominated by a reduction in the neutral gas density rather than by an increase in the electron density.  相似文献

A method of controlling the duration of pulses of intense molecular beams is suggested. The idea of the method is the shortening of an initial molecular beam pulse by producing a pressure shock in front of a solid surface through which the beam passes. Experiments on shortening H2, He, SF6, SF6/H2(1/10), and SF6/He(1/10) molecular beam pulses are reported. The parameters of the beams incident on, and transmitted through, the surface are studied. The gas density in the initial beam and in the pressure shock before the surface is estimated. The intensity and duration of shortened molecular pulses are found as a function of the initial intensity, angle of incidence, and the diameter of a hole on the surface through which the beam passes. It is established that the duration of the shortened beam decreases greatly with increasing incident intensity and decreasing hole diameter. It is shown that intense pulsed H2, He, SF6, SF6/H2(1/10), and SF6/He(1/10) molecular beams with a pulse duration of ≤10–15 μs and an extent of ≤1–2 cm can be generated with the method suggested.  相似文献

提出了一种采用倾斜脉冲的级联二阶非线性来实现超短激光脉冲压缩的方法. 对基于单块BBO晶体中基频光与倍频光群速度匹配的级联二阶非线性的脉冲压缩方案进行了理论分析. 对比研究了群速度匹配与失配情况下利用级联二阶非线性进行脉冲压缩的效果, 并模拟分析了基频光与倍频光的位相失配量、非线性晶体长度、 基频光初始峰值光强和初始脉宽等因素对脉冲压缩效果的影响. 结果表明, 基频光与倍频光的群速度匹配将会大幅度改善压缩脉冲的时间波形和频谱分布. 通过对位相失配量、晶体长度、初始光强等参数的优化和选取可获得较理想的压缩效果. 采用倾斜脉冲的级联二阶非线性的脉宽压缩方法, 针对中心波长800 nm、脉宽100 fs, 峰值光强为50 GW/cm2的基频光脉冲, 采用25 mm厚BBO晶体, 当基频光与倍频光位相失配量Δk=60 mm-1(对应失谐角1.98°), 晶体外部脉冲前沿倾斜角γ0=74°时, 计算获得了质量较好的20 fs剩余基频光, 并同时产生了14 fs的倍频光. 关键词: 倾斜波 级联二阶非线性 群速度失配 脉冲压缩  相似文献

We study theoretically the spectral intensity evolutions of the femtosecond Gaussian and parabolic pulses with different initial pulse energies and compare the nonlinear compressions of these pulses based on a meter-long hollow-core fiber filled with neon for different initial pulse durations. The pulses are first coupled into gas-filled hollow-core fiber for spectrum broadening, then compressed by the optimal chirp compensation. The parabolic pulse possesses a shorter pulse duration, larger peak power, and cleaner wings than Gaussian pulse. The properties are useful for compressing the pulses and thus generating the high-energy, short-duration pulses.  相似文献

This study tests the hypothesis that temporal integration for detection of tone bursts with various durations can be explained by optimally combining multiple looks of brief signal segments whose contribution to detection increases over time. Detectability was measured for signals consisting of six consecutive 25-ms, 1-kHz tone pulses presented in a 50-Hz-wide masker or in maskers consisting of seven 50-Hz-wide noises, one critical band apart, with either coherent or incoherent envelopes. The level of each signal pulse varied randomly around masked threshold according to a Gaussian distribution. The slopes of conditional psychometric functions--plotted in terms of d'2 as a function of the squared signal-pulse intensity for pulses in a particular temporal position--yielded estimates of the contribution to detection provided by each pulse. Results for three normal listeners showed a small, but significant, effect of the temporal location of the pulse. Multiple-looks predictions of temporal-integration functions based on the measured weights and on measured psychometric functions were compared to measured temporal-integration functions. For the single-band and incoherent maskers, the predicted temporal-integration slopes were reasonably consistent with those measured, but for the coherent masker it was not. Whereas no current theory can explain the very steep temporal-integration functions obtained in the coherent masker, the present results are not inconsistent with the multiple-looks hypothesis as an explanation for the decrease in threshold with increasing duration of signals presented in random maskers.  相似文献
