Reaction of ADP with amino acid methyl esters mediated by trimethylsilyl chloride

Reaction of ADP with amino acid methyl esters mediated by trimethylsilyl chloride in pyridine produced adenosine 5'-phosphoramidates in good yields under mild conditions, it is interesting that nucleophilic attack of amino acid methyl esters only occurred on alpha-phosphorus of ADP.     

Reaction of dibenzylphosphinous acid with formic acid esters

Summary The reaction of dibenzylphosphinous acid with formic acid esters was studied in the presence of sodium. Interaction of diphenyl sulfide with sulfuryl chloride

The reaction of diphenyl sulfide with sulfuryl chloride was studied. Reaction of oxochloroalkenes with phosphorous acid esters

Conclusions 2-Qxo-3-methyl-5-chloro-3-hexene and trans-2-oxo-5-chloro-3-heptene, adequate low-molecular-weight models of labile carbonylallyl groups in poly(vinyl chloride) macromolecules, were synthesized. Tributyl phosphite reacts with the model compounds at the oxovinylene fragment via a step of formation of intermediate phosphorane structures, which are converted to stable ketophosphonates during heating.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 5, pp. 1106–1108, May, 1985.     

Reaction of arynes with amino acid esters

An efficient route to a variety of 2-phenylindolin-3-ones from amino acid methyl esters has been developed. The reaction of amino acid methyl esters with benzyne prepared from 2-(trimethylsilyl)phenyl triflate and CsF gave 2-phenylindolin-3-ones in moderate to good yields.     

Direct ionic chlorination of alkyl sulfones with sulfuryl chloride

The introduction of a Cl atom usually takes place at a position a to the α atom of alkyl sulfones. In this paper, a new ionic chlorination method of alkyl sulfones with sulfuryl chloride in which the most noteworthy observation was exclusive or highly selective β-chlorination of diethyl sulfone or sulfolane (tetrahydrothiophene-1,1-dioxide) is described. The most successful synthetic application of this method was exemplified by the chlorination of 7-thiabicyclo[2.2.1]heptane-7,7-dioxide, which affords 2-exo- and 2-endo-chloro-7-thiabicyclo[2.2.1]heptane-7,7-dioxides, which were difficult to obtain by the radical chlorination, probably because of the undesired homolytic SO₂C bond fission. 2-exo-Chloro-7-thiabicyclo[2.2.1]heptane-7,7-dioxide, thus obtained, was selectively reduced to give 2-exo-chloro-7-thiabicyclo[2.2.1]heptane. A mechanism for this chlorination is also discussed.     

Reaction of 3,4,6-trioxoalkanoic acid esters with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine

Methyl 3,4,6-trioxoalkanoates (3,4-dihydroxy-6-oxo-2,4-alkadienoates) reacted with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine to give methyl 3,6-bis[(2,4-dinitrophenyl)hydrazinylidene]-4-oxoalkanoates or methyl {5-alkyl-2-hydroxy-1-(2,4-dinitroanilino)-3-oxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrrol-2-yl }acetates. Alkyl 3,6-bis[(2,4-dinitrophenyl) hydrazinylidene]-4-oxoalkanoates were also synthesized by reaction of disodium 1-alkoxy-1,6-dioxoalka-2,4-diene-3,4-diolates with 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine.
