Infrared predissociation (IRPD) spectra of Li(+)(C(6)H(6))(1-4)(H(2)O)(1-2)Ar(0-1) and Na(+)(C(6)H(6))(2-4)(H(2)O)(1-2)Ar(1) are presented along with ab initio calculations. The results indicate that the global minimum energy structure for Li(+)(C(6)H(6))(2)(H(2)O)(2) has each water forming a π-hydrogen bond with the same benzene molecule. This bonding motif is preserved in Li(+)(C(6)H(6))(3-4)(H(2)O)(2)Ar(0-1) with the additional benzene ligands binding to the available free OH groups. Argon tagging allows high-energy Li(+)(C(6)H(6))(2-4)(H(2)O)(2)Ar isomers containing water-water hydrogen bonds to be trapped and detected. The monohydrated, Li(+) containing clusters contain benzene-water interactions with varying strength as indicated by shifts in OH stretching frequencies. The IRPD spectra of M(+)(C(6)H(6))(1-4)(H(2)O)(1-2)Ar are very different for lithium-bearing versus sodium-bearing cluster ions emphasizing the important role of ion size in determining the most favorable balance of competing noncovalent interactions.  相似文献

Geometrical optimizations and electronic structural analyses of the -O(2)B(2)- bridged hydrometal complexes (M(4)H(3)C)(2)B(2)O(2) and (M(4)H(3)N)(2)B(2)O(2)(2+) (M = Ni, Mg) containing double tetracoordinate planar nonmetals (TPN) have been performed using the density functional theory at the B3LYP/6-311+G(d,p) level. Theoretical evidence of the possibility of double TPN centers coexisting in one planar molecule is presented.  相似文献

Laser-ablated U atoms react with CO in excess argon to produce CUO, which gives rise to 852.5 and 804.3 cm-1 infrared absorptions for the triplet state CUO(Ar)n complex in solid argon at 7 K. Relativistic density functional calculations show that the CUO(Ar) complex is stable and that up to four or five argon atoms can complex to CUO. When 1-3% Xe is added to the argon/CO reagent mixture, strong absorptions appear at 848.0 and 801.3 cm-1 and dominate new four-band progressions, which increase on annealing to 35-50 K as Xe replaces Ar in the intimate coordination sphere. Analogous spectra are obtained with 1-2% Kr added. This work provides evidence for eight distinct CUO(Ng)n(Ar)4-n (Ng = Kr, Xe, n = 1, 2, 3, 4) complexes and the first characterization of neutral complexes involving four noble-gas atoms on one metal center.  相似文献

Using a new charge-compensation strategy, we designed neutral molecules with perfectly planar C(C)(4)-type tetracoordinate carbon arrangements (ptC) employing DFT computations. These designs, based on the planar preference of methane dications, replace two remote carbons in spiroalkaplanes by borons or two remote hydrogens by BH(3) groups; the two formally anionic boron units which result compensate the formal double positive charge on the central ptC's. The LUMOs correspond to the "wasted" lone pair HOMOs of the alkaplanes. As compared to the latter, pi occupancies on the central carbon are much smaller (less than 0.7e), and the IPs are much larger. The newly predicted compounds utilize all of the electrons more effectively. There are no lone pairs, and the ptC-C bond lengths are ca. 1.50 A. The Wiberg bond index sums of the ptC's are near 3.2, and the boron sums are close to 4.  相似文献

Upon consideration of the hydrogen-bonding properties of the NH(4)(+) cation, we synthesized a new class of compounds, M(3-x)(NH(4))(x)CrO(8) (M = Na, K, Rb, Cs). These magnetic compounds with the simple 3d(1) ground state become ferroelectric. X-ray studies confirmed that the phase transition involves a symmetry change from I42m to Cmc2(1) to P1. The transition temperature depends linearly on the composition variable x. The transitions are of the order-disorder type, with N-H···O bonding playing the central role in the mechanism. Extension of this idea to the introduction of ferroelectricity in several other classes of materials is suggested.  相似文献

Cryptophane-A was synthesized from vanillin by a three-step method and its spectroscopic properties in different organic solvents were determined. Two absorption bands at about 240-250 and 280-290 nm were observed for cryptophane-A. A fluorescence emission peak was obtained at 320-330 nm using a solution of approximately 10(-5)M cryptophane-A. The interaction of cryptophane-A with chlorinated compounds CH(n)Cl(4 - n) (n=0, 1, 2) in dioxane and ethyl acetate solvents were studied in detail by fluorescence spectroscopy, respectively. The results show that cryptophane-A is well suited for inclusion of CH(2)Cl(2) to form a stable 1:1 complex and the binding constant was estimated to be 19+/-2M(-1). These results were also confirmed by (1)H NMR and CPK models. Larger similar molecules such as CHCl(3) and CCl(4) are unable to enter the cavity of cryptophane-A because of their bigger sizes. However, the fluorescence emission of cryptophane-A can be efficiently quenched by CHCl(3) and CCl(4), following the Stern-Volmer relationship.  相似文献

A density functional theory investigation on a series of S-shaped or cyclic (BnEmSi)2H2 molecules (E = B, C, Si; n = 3-6; m = 1, 2) containing double planar tetra-, penta-, and hexacoordinate silicons has been presented in this work. Further theoretical evidence is provided to support the previously proposed structural pattern to host planar hypercoordinate silicons in small aromatic molecules.  相似文献

Reaction of Mo(2)Cl(4)(dppm)(2) (dppm = bis(diphenylphosphino)methane) with 6 equiv of [n-Bu(4)N][CN] or [Et(4)N][CN] in dichloromethane yields [n-Bu(4)N](2)[Mo(2)(CN)(6)(dppm)(2)] (1) and [Et(4)N](2)[Mo(2)(CN)(6)(dppm)(2)] (2), respectively. The corresponding one- and two-electron oxidation products [n-Bu(4)N][Mo(2)(CN)(6)(dppm)(2)] (3) and Mo(2)(CN)(6)(dppm)(2) (4)were prepared by reactions of 1 with the oxidant NOBF(4). Single-crystal X-ray structures of 2.2CH(3)CN, 3.2CH(3)CN.2H(2)O, and 4.2CH(3)NO(2) were performed, and the results confirmed that all three complexes contain identical ligand sets with trans dppm ligands bisecting the Mo(2)(mu-CN)(2)(CN)(4) equatorial plane. The binding of the bridging cyanide ligands is affected by the oxidation state of the dimolybdenum core as evidenced by an increase in side-on pi-bonding overlap of the mu-CN in going from 1 to 4. The greater extent of pi-donation into Mo orbitals is accompanied by a lengthening of the Mo-Mo distance (2.736(1) A in Mo(2)(II,II) (2), 2.830(1) A in Mo(2)(II,III) (3), and 2.936(1) A in Mo(2)(III,III) (4)). A computational study of the closed-shell members of this homologous series, [Mo(2)(CN)(6)(dppm)(2)](n)() (n = 2-, 0), indicates that the more pronounced side-on pi-donation evident in the X-ray structure of 4 leads to significant destabilization of the delta orbital and marginal stabilization of the delta() orbitals with respect to nearly degenerate delta and delta orbitals in the parent compound, 2. The loss of delta contributions combined with the reduced orbital overlap due to higher charges on molybdenum centers in oxidized complexes 3 and 4 is responsible for the observed increase in the length of the Mo-Mo bond.  相似文献

Reactions of laser-ablated tin and lead atoms with nitric oxide molecules in solid argon and neon have been investigated using matrix-isolation infrared spectroscopy. In the argon experiments, absorptions at 1560.1, 1625.8, and 1486.7 cm(-1) are assigned to the N-O stretching vibrations of the SnNO and Sn(NO)2 molecules, and absorptions at 1541.9, 1630.0, 1481.8, and 1457.5 cm(-1) are assigned to the N-O stretching vibrations of the PbNO, Pb(NO)2, and PbNO- molecules on the basis of isotopic shifts and splitting patterns. The present neon experiments only produce neutral tin and lead mononitrosyls. Density functional theory calculations have been performed on these tin and lead nitrosyls. The good agreement between the experimental and calculated vibrational frequencies, relative absorption intensities, and isotopic shifts substantiates the identification of these nitrosyls from the matrix infrared spectra.  相似文献

Two novel compounds, [Co(4,4'-bipy)(H(2)O)(4)](4-abs)(2).H(2)O (1) and [Mn(4,4'-bipy)(H(2)O)(4)](4-abs)(2).2H(2)O (2) (4,4'-bipy = 4,4'-bipyridine; 4-abs = 4-aminobenzenesulfonate), have been synthesized in aqueous solution and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analyses, UV-vis and IR spectra, and TG analysis. X-ray structural analysis revealed that 1 and 2 both possess unusual hydrogen-bonded three-dimensional (3-D) networks encapsulating one-dimensional (1-D) covalently bonded infinite [M(4,4'-bipy)(H(2)O)(4)](2+) (M = Co, Mn) chains. The 4-abs anions in 1 form 1-D zigzag chains through hydrogen bonds. These chains are further extended through crystallization water molecules into 3-D hydrogen-bonded networks with 1-D channels, in which the [Co(4,4'-bipy)(H(2)O)(4)](2+) linear covalently bonded chains are located. Crystal data for 1: C(22)H(30)CoN(4)O(11)S(2), monoclinic P2(1), a = 11.380(2) A, b = 8.0274(16) A, c = 15.670(3) A, alpha = gamma = 90 degrees, beta = 92.82(3) degrees, Z = 2. Compound 2 contains interesting two-dimensional (2-D) honeycomb-like networks formed by 4-abs anions and lattice water molecules via hydrogen bonding, which are extended through other crystallization water molecules into three dimensions with 1-D hexagonal channels. The [Mn(4,4'-bipy)(H(2)O)(4)](2+) linear covalent chains exist in these channels. Rhenium and manganese complexes of the 3,5-di-tert-butyl-1,2-benzosemiquinone (DBSQ) ligand, [M(CO)(4)(DBSQ)], fac-[M(CO)(3)(L)(DBSQ)], and cis,trans-[M(CO)(2)(L)(2)(DBSQ)], with a widely varied nature of co-ligand(s) (L = THF, Me(2)CO, MeC(O)Ph, py, NEt(3), Ph(3)PO, SbPh(3), AsPh(3), PCy(3), P(OPh)(3), PPh(3), dppe-p, PPh(2)Et, P(OEt)(3), PEt(3)) were generated in solution and characterized as valence-localized molecules containing the radical-anionic DBSQ ligand bound to Re(I) or Mn(I) metal atoms. This is evidenced by the following. (i) Carbonyl stretching frequencies nu(C&tbd1;O) and average force constants k(av) are typical for Mn(I) or Re(I) carbonyls. (ii) Frequencies of the intra-dioxolene C=O bond stretching vibration, nu(C=O), lie within the 1400-1450 cm(-1) range which is diagnostic for coordinated semiquinones. (iii) EPR spectra indicate a very small spin density on the metal atom (0.2% < a(M)/A(iso) > 2.6%). (iv) Absorption spectra show Re(I) --> DBSQ MLCT electronic transitions characterized by a resonant enhancement of the Raman peaks due to the nu(C&tbd1;O) and intra-DBSQ nu(C=O) vibrations. (iv) Finally, the electrochemical pattern consists of DBSQ/DBQ and DBSQ/DBCat ligand-localized redox couples. All these properties are, in a limited range, dependent on the nature and, especially, the number of co-ligands L, indicating a small delocalization of the singly occupied MO of the DBSQ ligand over the metal atom. The extent of this delocalization may be finely tuned by changing the co-ligands, although in absolute terms, it remains rather limited, and the DBSQ ligand behaves toward Re(I) and Mn(I) as a very weak pi-acceptor only. The changes of the electronic properties of the metal center induced by the co-ligands are mostly compensated by more flexible M --> CO pi back-bonding as is manifested by large variations of the average C&tbd1;O stretching force constant.  相似文献

采用密度泛函理论方法, 在B3LYP/6-311G (d,p)水平上研究了不饱和类硅烯H2C=SiMBr (M=Li, Na)的结构. 结果表明, 不饱和类硅烯H2C=SiLiBr与H2C=SiNaBr各有三种平衡构型, 其中非平面的p-配合物型构型能量最低, 是这两种不饱和类硅烯存在的主要构型. 对平衡构型间异构化反应的过渡态进行了计算, 求得了转化势垒. 计算预言了最稳定构型的振动频率和红外强度.  相似文献

The ion-contact complexes [{(eta(5)-Cp)(2)Mn(eta(2):eta(5)-Cp)K}(3)]x0.5 THF (1x0.5 THF) and [{(eta(2)-Cp)(2)(eta(2);eta(5)-MeCp)MnK(thf)}]x2 THF (2x2 THF) and ion-separated complexes [Mg(thf)(6)][(eta(2)-Cp)(3)Mn](2) (3), [Mg(thf)(6)][(eta(2)-Cp)(eta(2)-MeCp)(2)Mn)](2)x0.5 THF (4x0.5 THF), [Mg(thf)(6)][(eta(2)-MeCp)(3)Mn)](2)x0.5 THF (5x0.5 THF) and [Li([12]crown-4)](5)[(eta-Cp)(3)Mn](5) (6) (Cp=C(5)H(5), CpMe=C(5)H(4)CH(3)), have been prepared and structurally characterised. The effects of varying the Cp and CpMe ligands in complexes 1-5 have been probed by variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements and EPR spectroscopic studies.  相似文献

The 1H, 13C and 31P NMR data are reported for the (C2H5)3-nPXn compounds (X = Cl, Br, I; n = 0, 1, 2, 3). The chemical shifts are interpreted in terms of inductive and through-space effects of the X substituents together with a rehybridization of the phosphorous atom. The results of the coupling constants are in good agreement with the chemical shifts.  相似文献

Small clusters of group 1 metal complexes with hydrogen fluoride molecules M(HF)n, M = Li, Na, and K, are studied with the ab initio molecular orbital method. The trimer M(HF)3 forms a C3v cluster, in which the metal atom is ionized and the ejected electron is trapped on the top of three equivalent HF molecules. The optimized geometric structure of Li(HF)3 is almost identical with that of the ion pair Li+(HF)3Cl- by replacing a Cl- anion with an ejected electron {e-}; thus Li(HF)3 can be described as Li+(HF)3{e-}. The entity {e-} is trapped under the electrostatic field created by three HF bond dipoles; and at the same time, the HF bonds are polarized and weakened. A triplet anion {e-}(HF)3Li+(HF)3{e-} is stable and is a possible anion unit of electrides.  相似文献

The new anionic carbon sulfides C6S10(2-) and C12S16(2-) are described and crystallographically characterized. The C12S16(2-) anion consists of two C6S8 units connected by an exceptionally long (2.157(12) A) S-S bond. In solution, C12S16(2-) exists in equilibrium with the radical C6S8(-*). The equilibrium constant for radical formation (293 K, THF) is 1.2 x 10(-4) M, as determined by optical spectroscopy at varying concentrations. Radical formation occurs through scission of the S-S bond. On the basis of variable temperature EPR spectra, the thermodynamic parameters of this process are DeltaH = +51.5 +/- 0.5 kJ x mol(-1) and DeltaS = +110 +/- 3 J x mol(-1) x K(-1). C6S10(2-) is an oxidation product of C3S5(2-) and consists of two C3S5 units connected by an S-S bond. The S-S bond length (2.135(4) A) is long, and the CS-SC torsion angle is unusually acute (52.1 degrees ), which is attributed to an attractive interaction between C3S2 rings. The oxidation of (Me4N)2C3S5 occurs at -0.90 V vs Fc+/Fc in MeCN, being further oxidized at -0.22 V. The similarity of the cyclic voltammogram of (Me4N)2C6S10 to that of (Me4N)2C3S5 indicates that C6S10(2-) is the initial oxidation product of C3S5(2-).  相似文献

Reactions of lanthanoid trichlorides with sodium cyclopentylcyclopentadienyl in THFafford bis(cyclopentylcyclopentadienyl) lanthanoid chloride complexes (C_5H_9C_5H_4)_2LnCl(THF)_n (Ln=Nd, Sm, n=1; Ln= Er, Yb, n= 0). The compound [CP'_2SmCl(THF)]_2 (2) (Cp' =cyclopentylcy-clopentadienyl) crystallizes from mixed solvent of hexane and THF in monoclinic space group P_2_1/cwith a = 11.583 (3), b = 23.019(6), c = 8.227 (2), β= 90.26 (2)°, V= 2194 (1)~3, D_c= 1.59 g/cm~3.μ= 28.6 cm~(-1), F(000) = 1060, Z= 2 (dimers). Its crystal molecule is a dimer with a crystallographicsymmetry center. The central metal atom Sm is coordinated to two Cp' rings, two bridging chlorineatoms and one THF forming a distorted trigonal bipyramid. The crystal of [Cp'_2ErCl]_2 (3) belongs tothe triclinic space group P with a = 11.264 (2), b= 13.296(5), c = 14.296(6), a = 96.99 (3), β=112.47(2), γ= 102.78(2)°, V= 1865(1)~3, D_c= 1.67 g /cm~3, μ= 48.0 cm~(-1), F(000) = 924, Z = 2 (dimers).The molecule is a dimer consisting of two Cp'_2 ErCl species bridged by two Cl atoms. The centralmetal atom Er is coordinated to two Cp' rings and two bridging chlorine atoms forming a pseudo-tetrahedron. All these complexes are soluble in THF, DME, Et_2O, toluene and hexane.  相似文献
