Using 4.68 fb(-1) of e(+)e(-) annihilation data collected with the CLEO II detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring, we have studied tau radiative decays tau(-)-->nu(tau)&mgr;(-)nu;(&mgr;)gamma and tau(-)-->nu(tau)e(-)nu;(e)gamma. For a 10 MeV minimum photon energy in the tau rest frame, the branching fraction for radiative tau decay to a muon or electron is measured to be (3.61+/-0.16+/-0. 35)x10(-3) or (1.75+/-0.06+/-0.17)x10(-2), respectively. The branching fractions are in agreement with standard model theoretical predictions. 相似文献

A search for the nonconservation of lepton flavor in the decay tau+/--->e+/-gamma has been performed with 2.07x10(8) e+e--->tau+tau- events collected by the BABAR detector at the SLAC PEP II storage ring at a center-of-mass energy near 10.58 GeV. We find no evidence for a signal and set an upper limit on the branching ratio of Beta(tau+/--->e+/-gamma)<1.1x10(-7) at 90% confidence level. 相似文献

The mass of the tau lepton has been measured in the decay mode tau-->3pinutau using a pseudomass technique. The result obtained from 414 fb-1 of data collected with the Belle detector is Mtau=[1776.61+/-0.13(stat)+/-0.35(sys)] MeV/c2. The upper limit on the relative mass difference between positive and negative tau leptons is |Mtau+-Mtau-|/Mtau<2.8 x 10-4 at 90% confidence level. 相似文献

The perturbative QCD corrections to the semileptonic decay width of the tau lepton are evaluated in the next-next-to-leading order from the contour integral representation in various renormalization schemes, using numerical solution of the renormalization group equation for complex energies. A quantitative estimate of the ambiguities resulting from the freedom of choice of the renormalization scheme is obtained by taking into account predictions in all schemes that do not involve large cancellations in the expression for the scheme invariant combination of the expansion coefficients. The problem of an optimal choice of the renormalization scheme for the improved perturbative expression is discussed. A fit of $\Lambda _{\overline {MS} } $ is made using the available experimental data. 相似文献
