This paper proposes a new matrix method for calculating critical flow velocity of curved pipes conveying fluid, which have arbitrary centerline shape and spring supports. Its main advantage over other methods is that the corresponding characteristic equation can be reduced to a third order one, no matter how many elements are discretized in calculation. This will lead to saving computer time and obtaining a solution with good precision.  相似文献

In this paper, the non-linear vibration of a cable-stayed beam with time-varying length and tension in the cable is investigated. A set of non-linear, time-varying differential equations describing this coupling system is derived by Hamilton's principle and the finite element method. According to the results of numerical simulation, the tension of the cable is related to the cable length, which in turn is a function of the longitudinal and transverse displacements of the cable. Furthermore, it is shown that the tension and length of the cable can be considerably different by using linear and non-linear models.  相似文献

A new analytical method was developed to predict the in-plane mode shapes and the natural frequencies of a ring with widely distributed deviation. The Laplace transform was used to find the exact solution of eigenvalue problem without assuming any trial functions and finite elements. The widely distributed deviation was effectively formulated in the theory using Gauss-Legendre quadrature. The validity of the proposed method was examined through finite element analysis and modal test. The effects of partial change of the density, the stiffness, and the thickness on the natural frequencies of the ring were investigated.  相似文献

In this paper, the non-linear free vibration of a string with large amplitude is considered. The initial tension, lateral vibration amplitude, cross-section diameter and the modulus of elasticity of the string have main effects on its natural frequencies. Increasing the lateral vibration amplitude makes the assumption of constant initial tension invalid. Therefore, it is impossible to use the classical equation of transverse motion assuming a small amplitude. On the other hand, by increasing the string cross-sectional diameter, the bending moment effect will increase dramatically, and it will act as an impressive restoring moment. Considering the effects of the bending moments, the non-linear equation governing the large amplitude transverse vibration of a string is derived. The time-dependent portion of the governing equation has the form of the Duffing equation. Due to the complexity and non-linearity of the derived equation and the fact that there is no established exact solution method, the equation is solved using the perturbation method. The results of the analysis are shown in appropriate graphs, and the natural frequencies of the string due to the non-linear factors are compared with the natural frequencies of the linear vibration of a string without bending moment effects.  相似文献

In this paper, the nonlinear dynamic stability of a rotating shaft-disk with a transverse crack is studied. The crack and the disk are located in arbitrary positions of the shaft respectively. Using the equivalent line-spring model, the deflections of the system with a crack are constructed by adding a deflection to the deflections of the uncracked system. The unstable regions are confirmed by Runge-Kutta method and the Floquet theory. The effects of crack depth, crack position, disk position, disk thickness and rotating speed on the principal unstable regions are discussed. 本文建立了三维水平圆管的输送的简化数学模型,运用流体力学软件FLUENT对不同输送浓度的颗粒在水平管中输送的流动情况进行数值模拟.对不同输送工况下的压降损失与气体速度的关系进行了对比分析,并确定了在特定条件下能耗最小的经济速度并与实验数据进行了对比.结果表明计算结果与实验数据基本吻合,用于FLUETNT模拟计算的简化数学模型具有较好的适应性和准确性,研究结果对工程应用具有一定的指导意义.  相似文献

The method of detection of location of crack in beams based on frequency measurements is extended here to short beams, taking into account the effects of shear deformation and rotational inertia through the Timoshenko beam theory and representing the crack by a rotational spring. Methods for solving both forward (determination of frequencies of beams knowing the crack parameters) and inverse (determination of crack location knowing the natural frequencies) problems are included. A method to estimate crack extension from a change in the first natural frequency is presented. Both numerical and experimental studies are given to demonstrate the accuracy of the methods. The accuracy of the results is quite encouraging.  相似文献

本文研制了一套以不锈钢丝网为毛细芯的平板式蒸发器、风冷管翅式冷凝器的环路热管,并着重研究其以甲醇和丙酮为工质时运行特性的差异。实验结果表明,小型平板式LHP具有良好的启动特性和适应变热负荷能力,在相同的工况条件下,以丙酮为工质的LHP温度波动较小,系统启动较快且蒸发器壁面温度较低,但其极限热负荷能力低于甲醇。  相似文献

This paper focuses on the development of a complete non-linear model of a hydraulic engine mount and the evaluation of the model using a unique experimental apparatus. The model is capable of capturing both the low- and high-frequency behavior of hydraulic mounts. The results presented here provide a significant improvement over existing models by considering all non-linear aspects of a hydraulic engine mount. Enhancements to already published non-linear models include a continuous function that follows a simplistic yet effective approach to capture the switching effect and leakage through the decoupler, and upper chamber bulge damping. It is shown that the model developed here provides the appropriate system response over the full range of loading conditions (frequency and amplitude) encountered in practice. In order to obtain the parameter values for the non-linear model, a unique test apparatus is introduced. Using the experimental set-up, it is possible to verify the model of individual components of the mount, and later on test the behavior of the whole assembly. These data also establish the relative importance of several damping, inertia and stiffness terms. In addition, the measured responses of the mounts to loading at various frequencies and amplitudes are compared to the predictions of the mathematical model. The comparisons generally show a very good agreement (better than 10%), which corroborate the non-linear model of the mount. It is felt that this work will help engineers in reducing mount design time, by providing insight into the effects of various parameters within the mount.  相似文献

A system consisting of a primary structure coupled with a passive tuned vibration absorber is experimentally studied. The primary structure consists of four flexible columns with a mass, while the absorber consists of a beam with a tip-mass. The system, which is a coupled non-linear oscillator, is subjected to sinusoidal and random excitation. The effects of the forcing frequency, forcing amplitude, mass ratios and frequency ratios on the displacement response of the system in the neighborhood of the autoparametric region are studied. Control parameters related to effectiveness of the absorber are determined. The objective of this study is to experimentally define an absorption region for the passive vibration absorber and to determine the parameters that influence the effectiveness of the vibration absorber.  相似文献

A non-linearly damped single-degree-of-freedom (s.d.o.f.) system under broadband random excitation is considered. A procedure for in-service identification of the damping characteristic from measured stationary response is described. The procedure is based on the stochastic averaging method. The explicit analytical solution is obtained for the integral equation, which relates the desired damping characteristics to the apparent force in the shortened equation for the slowly varying response amplitude, and thus to the measured probability density of the amplitude. The approach is of a non-parametric nature, which makes it convenient for testing hypotheses of damping mechanisms from measured random vibration data. Extensive results of numerical tests for the procedure are presented.  相似文献
