We investigate theoretically multimode electromechanical "shuttle" instabilities in dc voltage-biased nanoelectromechanical single-electron tunneling devices. We show that initially irregular (quasiperiodic) oscillations that occur as a result of the simultaneous self-excitation of several mechanical modes with incommensurable frequencies self-organize into periodic oscillations with a frequency corresponding to the eigenfrequency of one of the unstable modes. This effect demonstrates that a local probe can selectively excite global vibrations of extended objects.  相似文献

Classically, rotary motors with gears and spindle mechanisms are used to achieve translatory motion. In means of miniaturization and weight reduction piezoelectric linear motors are of interest. Several ultrasonic linear motors found in literature base on the use of two different vibration modes. Most often flexural and longitudinal modes are combined to achieve an elliptic micro-motion of surface points. This micro-motion is converted to direct linear (or translatory) motion of a driven slider. To gain high amplitudes of the micro-motion and thus having a powerful motor, the ultrasonic vibrator should be driven near the eigenfrequency of its modes. Additionally, low mechanical and electrical losses lead to increased efficiency and large amplitude magnification in resonance. This demands a geometrical design that fits the eigenfrequencies of the two different modes. A frequency-deviation of only a few percent leads to non-acceptable disturbance of the elliptical motion. Thus, the mechanical design of the vibrators has to be done very carefully. Within this contribution we discuss different motor designs based on the coupling of two the same longitudinal vibrations within one structure to generate an elliptic motion of surface points. Different concepts based on piezoelectric plates and Langevin transducers are compared. Benefits and drawbacks against the combination of longitudinal and bending modes will be discussed. Numerical results of the stator vibration as well as motor characteristics are validated by measurements on different prototypes.  相似文献

Opto-mechano-fluidic resonators (OMFRs) are a unique optofluidics platform that can measure the acoustic properties of fluids and bioanalytes in a fully-contained microfluidic system. By confining light in ultra-high-Q whispering gallery modes of OMFRs, optical forces such as radiation pressure and electrostriction can be used to actuate and sense structural mechanical vibrations spanning MHz to GHz frequencies. These vibrations are hybrid fluid-shell modes that entrain any bioanalyte present inside. As a result, bioanalytes can now reflect their acoustic properties on the optomechanical vibrational spectrum of the device, in addition to optical property measurements with existing optofluidics techniques. In this work, we investigate acoustic sensing capabilities of OMFRs using computational eigenfrequency analysis. We analyze the OMFR eigenfrequency sensitivity to bulk fluid-phase materials as well as nanoparticles, and propose methods to extract multiple acoustic parameters from multiple vibrational modes. The new informational degrees-of-freedom provided by such opto-acoustic measurements could lead to surprising new sensor applications in the near future.  相似文献

The existence and properties of intrinsic localized spin-wave modes in a ferromagnetic XXZ spin chain with Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya interaction are investigated analytically in the semiclassical limit. The model Hamiltonian is quantized by introducing the Dyson-Maleev transformation and the coherent state representation is chosen as the basic representation of the system. By making use of the method of multiple scales combined with a quasidiscreteness approximation, the equation of motion for the coherent-state amplitude is reduced to the nonlinear Schrödinger equation. It is shown that a bright intrinsic localized spin-wave mode whose eigenfrequency lies below the bottom of the magnon frequency band can exist in the ferromagnetic system. We also show that the system can produce a dark intrinsic localized spin-wave mode, i.e., nonpropagating kink, whose eigenfrequency is below the upper of the magnon frequency band. In addition, we find that the introduction of the Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya interaction changes wave numbers in the Brillouin-zone corresponding to the appearance of intrinsic localized spin-wave modes.  相似文献

以典型的圆柱形光声池为研究对象,建立光声池声学仿真有限元模型,并在此基础上,研究了光声池中谐振腔、缓冲腔、进出气孔结构参数以及温度、湿度因素对其声学本征频率的影响规律.研究结果表明:圆柱形光声池的进、出口孔对其声学本征频率影响极不敏感,设计计算中可以忽略不计,谐振腔的长度影响最为敏感,其次为谐振腔的直径.此外缓冲腔的长度与直径对其亦有一定影响,因而在准确计算时需要加以考虑.温度与湿度对光声池声学本征频率的影响均呈现正线性增长规律,温度的影响随着谐振腔长度的增大而减小,湿度的影响随着温度的升高而增大,仅计算光声池的声学本征频率时,湿度的影响在室温环境下且湿度变动较小的条件下可以忽略.  相似文献

Bloch and Neel magnetic skyrmions have been studied in systems of confined geometry (nanodots, a linear array of nanodots). The spectra of low- and high-frequency excitation modes of a skyrmion state have been calculated. It has been shown that skyrmion spectrum asymmetry, namely, the characteristic difference between the frequencies of the azimuthal modes of the azimuthal skyrmion modes rotating clockwise and counterclockwise, is associated with asymmetry in the magnetization profiles of high-frequency spin waves propagating on the background of a skyrmion state in a nanodot. The low-frequency spectrum contains the only gyrotropic mode localized near the center of a nanodot. The gyrotropic frequency depends on the material parameters of a nanodot and the size of a skyrmion. The eigenfrequency of the gyrotropic mode of an isolated skyrmion in a nanodot in ultrathin films (L ~ 1 nm) does not depend on the internal structure of a skyrmion and is the same for Bloch and Neel skyrmions. The interaction of skyrmions, in particular, in a linear chain of nanodots with the ground skyrmion state, leads to distinctions in low-frequency spectra. The structure of a skyrmion (of Bloch or Neel type) is exhibited as a shift of dispersion curves and a difference between the frequencies of ferromagnetic resonance in a system of interacting skyrmions.  相似文献

本文考虑体单轴各向异性利用界面重参数化方法从理论上严格推导了两层异质铁磁质中量子自旋波的本征值,并模拟计算了简立方晶格结构 (100) 第一布里渊区的能带结构,特别研究了易轴型体单轴各向异性对本征值的影响.结果发现在这样的体系中存在体模、禁闭模和界面模;各种本征模与体交换作用、界面交换作用、晶格自旋、原子层数有关,而且各向异性直接影响各种本征模的存在条件. 关键词: 铁磁薄膜 自旋波 各向异性  相似文献

石英音叉作为力传感器广泛地应用于各种扫描探针显微镜,主要涉及石英音叉的同相振动和反相振动两种振动模式.通过实验方法和有限元仿真方法对石英音叉的两种振动模式进行研究,发现石英音叉的双臂之间以及双臂与音叉的基部之间都存在耦合作用,双臂之间的耦合使音叉的反相共振频率升高,双臂与基部之间的耦合使音叉的同相共振频率降低.针对两种振动模式的动态特性建立了石英音叉的机械模型并进行合理简化.简化模型是一个四弹簧三质点系统,计算了简化模型的参数.通过一个音叉臂等效质量变化与音叉反相共振频率变化之间的定量关系证明了简化机械模 关键词: 扫描探针显微镜 石英音叉 振动模式 机械模型  相似文献

In this paper, a modal identification system that is based on the vector backward autoregressive (VBAR) model has been developed for the identification of natural frequencies, damping ratios and mode shapes of structures from measured output data. The modal identification using forward autoregressive approach has some problems in discriminating the structure modes from spurious modes. On the contrary, the VBAR approach provides a determinate boundary for the separation of system modes from spurious modes, and an eigenvalue filter for the selection of physical modes is existent in the proposed method. For convenience of application, the backward state equation established from VBAR model is transformed into a forward state equation, which is termed as transformed VFAR model in this paper. In addition, the extraction of equivalent system matrix of state equation of motion for structures from the transformed VFAR model has been developed, and then the normal modes can be calculated from the identified equivalent system matrix. Two examples of modal identification are carried out to demonstrate the availability and effectiveness of the proposed backward approach: (1) Numerical modal identification for a three-degree-of-freedom dynamic system with noise level in 20% of r.m.s of measured output data; (2) experimental modal identification of a cantilever beam. Finally, to show the advantage of the proposed VBAR approach on the selection of physical modes, the modal identification by stochastic subspace method was performed. 根据ITER朗缪尔探针系统的测量需求开展了探针系统的初步设计和部分研制工作。通过对探针系统测量需求的细化分析,确定了不同等离子体参数的测量方式和对应的探针工作模式;并对探针开展了结构设计和热结构分析,得到了探针在稳态10MW·m-2热负载条件下的温度和应力分布,同时根据ITER真空材料手册,初步确定选用锻造钨材料加工制造探针体和探针屏蔽结构并开展了机加工工艺、焊接工艺等方面的研究。根据探针系统测量需求和工作模式对电子学系统,包括电源、模式切换模块和信号调理单元等,进行了设计分析,且电源技术验证样机正在研制。测控系统已完成初步设计,主要功能包括下发配置、状态监控、校准、数据采集、与ITER CODAC通讯、实时测量偏滤器靶板离子流通量等。  相似文献

Cylindrical waveguides without end surfaces can serve as two-dimensional resonant cavities. In such cavities the electromagnetic oscillations corresponding to an eigenfrequency can always be taken as TM or TE modes even when the walls have a finite conductivity and the medium is absorptive. This paper obtains analytic solutions to the field equations when the cylinder has a circular cross section. Some nonperturbative conclusions are drawn from the eigenvalue equation. Approximate analytic results for the resonant frequencies are obtained when the absorption of the medium is small and the walls are good conductors. Stability of the eigen modes is discussed. Similar results for the coaxial line are presented.  相似文献

The dynamic, mechanical behaviour of a chicken egg is assessed. Experimental modal analysis tests revealed several spherical modes in the 2- frequency band. An identification of the mode shapes, the resonant frequencies and corresponding damping ratios of these modes is obtained. The study allows the interpretation of the vibration response of an egg excited at its equator with a light mechanical impact which could open the door towards an automated egg inspection system.  相似文献

We have studied theoretically the electron-phonon scattering rates in GaAs/AlAs quantum wells which have additional thin AlAs layers in them using the dielectric continuum approach for the phonons. The confined and interface phonon modes and the intersubband electron phonon scattering rates of these structures have been calculated. The system with an additional AlAs layer is found to have intersubband electron scattering rates which are increased modestly as compared to those for the corresponding quantum well. These results show that scattering rates in general are expected to depend only weakly on the effects of system structure on the optical phonon spectra.  相似文献

A method of designing a photonic crystal grating slow-wave circuit in which the cylinders of the 2D photonic crystals dot on a cross-sectional plane is established by calculating the band structures of the 2D photonic crystals, and the eigenfrequency of the equivalent waveguide grating. For calculating the band structures, the eigenvalue equations of the photonic crystals in the system of photonic crystal grating slow-wave circuit are derived in a special polarization mode. Two examples are taken to show the method. The design result is validated by the scattering parameters of the same circuit. The result indicates that there exists no photonic band gap if the metal gratings do not extend into the photonic crystals; the design of the circuit without the metal gratings extending into the photonic crystals is less flexible than that with the metal gratings extending into the photonic crystals.  相似文献

Master equation of a relevant electronic and vibrational system is derived for a special diabatic basis corresponding to vertical processes. It is shown that bath modes contribute dynamically to the inter-state coupling only at short times. For long times the bath-induced inter-state coupling is static and increases with the contribution of bath modes to the Stokes shift and to the Herzberg-Teller correction of the excited state. Simultaneously, the time evolution of excited state population is studied numerically for the system consisting of two electronic levels interacting with two vibrational modes, coupled to a heat bath. A mutual coupling of the vibrational modes in the excited state is taken into account (Duschinsky effect). Excited state population relaxes faster if interacting vibrational mode dissipates its energy via vibrational mode of a smaller eigenfrequency. Fast component of excited state depopulation cannot be achieved via coherent mode-mode coupling, if the second mode is not directly coupled to the electronic inter-state transition.  相似文献

为了实现空气质量的实时监测,设计了一种车载红外探测设备的光机结构。该结构采用大孔径、无焦反射式光学系统,即高精度扫描反射镜实现了方位和俯仰0~360°扫描。通过有限元方法对系统进行静力学分析,结果满足光机结构设计要求。用锤击法对样机进行了模态测试,并对车载环境下的设备进行了振动实验。结果表明,光机结构一阶频率为52Hz,相对于车载环境的12.5Hz具有足够的动态刚度及结构稳定性,可保证该设备正常工作。  相似文献

We compute the normal modes and frequencies for small oscillations of the order parameters around their thermal equilibrium values in the Dicke model. An eigenfrequency goes to zero linearly in the reduced temperature at the critical temperature. The soft mode determines the initial bifurcation direction for the formation of an ordered state. A torsional pendulum with a Nickel-rod as torsional spring element can oscillate in its eigenfrequency when the rod is magnetized in its axial direction by an ac magnetic field. Investigating this effect, which was not understood until now, a mechanism of parametric amplification and generation of mechanical vibrations is derived. It is based on the effect of Joule's magnetostriction and its inverse. The calculations presented enable us to understand the experimental results of the corresponding oscillation measurements.  相似文献
