We propose a new kind of damage formulation which leads, in connection with relaxation techniques known in literature, to a well posed problem suitable for finite element calculations. Magnetic materials have been finding increasingly wide areas of application. We focus here on the continuum modeling of such materials and present an incremental variational principle for a dissipative micro-magneto-elastic model. It describes the quasi-static evolution of both magnetically as well as mechanically driven magnetic domains, which also incorporates the surrounding free space. Furthermore, the algorithmic preservation of the geometrical nature of the variables is an important challenge from the numerical perspective and to this end we present a novel FE discretization whereby the geometric property of the magnetization director is pointwise exactly preserved by nonlinear rotational updates at the nodes. This paper is concerned with nonlinear partial differential equations of the calculus of variation (see [13]) perturbed by noise. Well-posedness of the problem was proved by Pardoux in the seventies (see [14]), using monotonicity methods. The aim of the present work is to investigate the asymptotic behaviour of the corresponding transition semigroup Pt. We show existence and, under suitable assumptions, uniqueness of an ergodic invariant measure ν. Moreover, we solve the Kolmogorov equation and prove the so-called "identite du carre du champs". This will be used to study the Sobolev space W1,2(H,ν) and to obtain information on the domain of the infinitesimal generator of Pt.  相似文献

Verma introduced a system of nonlinear variational inequalities and proposed projection methods to solve it. This system reduces to a variational inequality problem under certain conditions. So, at least in form, it can be regarded as a extension of a variational inequality problem. In this note, we show that solving this system coincides exactly with solving a variational inequality problem. This paper is concerned with macroscopic continuous and discrete variational formulations for domain switching effects at small strains, which occur in ferroelectric ceramics. The developed new three–dimensional model is thermodynamically–consistent and determined by two scalar–valued functions: the energy storage function (Helmholtz free energy) and the dissipation function, which is in particular rate–dependent. The constitutive model successfully reproduces the ferroelastic and the ferroelectric hysteresis as well as the butterfly hysteresis for ferroelectric ceramics. The rate–dependent character of the dissipation function allows us also to reproduce the experimentally observed rate dependency of the above mentioned hysteresis phenomena. An important aspect is the numerical implementation of the coupled problem. The discretization of the two–field problem appears, as a consequence of the proposed incremental variational principle, in a symmetric format. Wave propagation in porous media is an important topic, e.g. in geomechanics or the oil-industry. We formulate a linear system of coupled partial differential equations based on Biot's theory with the solid displacements and the pore pressure as the primary unknowns. To solve this system of coupled partial differential equations in a semi-infinite homogeneous domain the BEM (Boundary element method) is especially suitable. Starting from a representation formula a system of two boundary integral equations is derived. These boundary integral equations are used to solve related boundary value problems via a direct approach. Coercivity of the resulting bilinear form is shown, from which unique solvability of the variational formulation follows from injectivity. 目前在非线性弹塑性力学计算中常用的经典非线性大变形理论由于内在的数学缺点,当变形量与转动很大时.往往误差达到不许可的程度.本文采用作者的有限变形力学理论表述了增量法.在作者与尚勇、谢和平联合研究的另二篇论文中,详细叙述这个新方法在工程中的应用,结果证明从微小变形过渡到大变形,计算结果总是可以满意地符合实验.  相似文献
