For a blockwise martingale difference sequence of random elements {Vn , n ≥ 1} taking values in a real separable martingale type p (1 ≤ p ≤ 2) Banach space, conditions are provided for strong laws of large numbers of the form limn→∞∑ n i=1 Vi /gn = 0 almost surely to hold where the constants gn ↑∞. A result of Hall and Heyde [Martingale Limit Theory and Its Application, Academic Press, New York, 1980, p. 36] which was obtained for sequences of random variables is extended to a martingale type p (1 p ≤ 2) Banach space setting and to hold with a Marcinkiewicz-Zygmund type normalization. Illustrative examples and counterexamples are provided.  相似文献

For a double array of independent random elements {Vmn,m ≥ 1,n ≥ 1} in a real separable Banach space,conditions are provided under which the weak and strong laws of large numbers for the double sums mi=1 nj=1Vij,m ≥ 1,n ≥ 1 are equivalent.Both the identically distributed and the nonidentically distributed cases are treated.In the main theorems,no assumptions are made concerning the geometry of the underlying Banach space.These theorems are applied to obtain Kolmogorov,Brunk–Chung,and Marcinkiewicz–Zygmund type strong laws of large numbers for double sums in Rademacher type p(1 ≤ p ≤ 2) Banach spaces.  相似文献

We obtain complete convergence results for arrays of row-wise independent Banach space valued random elements. The paper investigates L p convergence and Marcinkiewicz-Zygmund strong laws of large numbers for random elements in a Banach space under the condition that the Banach space is of Rademacher type p, 1 < p < 2. We first show how (p,p′) Clarkson inequality for a Banach space X is inherited by Lebesgue-Bochner spaces Lr(X), which extends Clarkson's procedure deriving his inequalities for Lp from their scalar versions. Fairly many previous and new results on Clarkson's inequalities, and also those on Rademacher type and cotype at the same time (by a recent result of the authors), are obtained as immediate consequences. Secondly we show that if the (p, p') Clarkson inequality holds in X, then random Clarkson inequalities hold in Lr(X) for any 1 ≤ r ≤ ∞; the converse is true if r = p'. As corollaries the original Clarkson and random Clarkson inequalities for Lp are both directly derived from the parallelogram law for scalars.  相似文献

Convergence in probability of the linear forms Σk=1ankXk is obtained in the space D[0, 1], where (Xk) are random elements in D[0, 1] and (ank) is an array of real numbers. These results are obtained under varying hypotheses of boundedness conditions on the moments and conditions on the mean oscillation of the random elements (Xn) on subintervals of a partition of [0, 1]. Since the hypotheses are in general much less restrictive than tightness (or convex tightness), these results represent significant improvements over existing weak laws of large numbers and convergence results for weighted sums of random elements in D[0, 1]. Finally, comparisons to classical hypotheses for Banach space and real-valued results are included.  相似文献

In this paper, we give some equivalent conditions on a Banach frame for a Banach space by using the pseudoinverse operator. We also consider the stability of a Banach frame for a Banach space X with respect to Xd or an Xd-frame for a Banach space X under perturbation. These results generalize and improve the related works of Balan, Casazza, Christensen, Stoeva and Jian et al.  相似文献

This paper contains three main results: In the first result a correspondence principle between semistable measures on Lp, 1 ≤ p < ∞, and Banach space valued semistable processes is established. In the second result it is shown that the paths of a Banach space valued semistable process belong to Lp with probability zero or one, and necessary and sufficient conditions for the two alternatives to hold are given. Under optimal moment conditions, we prove the compact law of the iterated logarithm and the almost sure invariance principle for ψ-mixing random variables with values in type 2 Banach spaces. These results, together with the bounded law of the iterated logarithm proved earlier by author, allow us to prove the same kind of results for the Banach space valued autoregressive processes with ψ-mixing innovations. The results for autoregressive processes can be considered as asymptotic properties of the estimator of mean.  相似文献

Conditions are provided under which a normed double sum of independent random elements in a real separable Rademacher type p Banach space converges completely to 0 in mean of order p. These conditions for the complete convergence in mean of order p are shown to provide an exact characterization of Rademacher type p Banach spaces. In case the Banach space is not of Rademacher type p, it is proved that the complete convergence in mean of order p of a normed double sum implies a strong law of large numbers.  相似文献

By c osure under finite variation, the Kolmogorov 0‐1 aw yields immediately that this probability is either 0 or 1; in case it is 1, the relations are said to be separable by random oracles.Again by closure under finite variation, for every given set A, the probability that a randomly chosen set X is in the upper ≤r‐cone of A is either 0 or 1; let Almostr be the class of sets for which the upper ≤r‐cone has measure 1. In the following, results about separations by random oracles and about Almost classes are obtained in the context of generalized reducibilities, that is, for binary relations on 2 which can be defined by a countable set of total continuous functionals on 2 in the same way as the usual resource‐bounded reducibilities are defined by an enumeration of appropriate oracle Turing machines. The concept of generalized reducibility comprises a natura resource‐bounded reducibilities, but is more general; in particular, it does not involve any kind of specific machine model or even effectivity. The results on generalized reducibilities yield corollaries about specific resource‐bounded reducibilities, including several results which have been shown previously in the setting of time or space bounded Turing machine computations.  相似文献

Generalizing techniques developed by Cuesta and Matrán for Bochner integrable random vectors of a separable Banach space, we prove a strong law of large numbers for Pettis integrable random elements of a separable locally convex space E. This result may be seen as a compactness result in a suitable topology on the set of Pettis integrable probabilities on E.  相似文献
