We show that several spaces of holomorphic functions on a Riemann domain over a Banach space, including the nuclear and Hilbert–Schmidt bounded type, are locally m-convex Fréchet algebras. We prove that the spectrum of these algebras has a natural analytic structure, which we use to characterize the envelope of holomorphy. We also show a Cartan–Thullen type theorem.  相似文献

If E is a complex (DFC)-space (see § 2), we show that E leads to pure uniform holomorphy (see §2) if and only if its Fréchet dual space E′ is separable (see Theorem 1, where these two conditions have other eight equivalent ones). By using a theorem of Mujica (see §4), we consider the (DFC)-space K(K) of germs around K of holomorphic C-valued functions where K is a nonvoid compact subset of a complex metrizable locally convex space E, and ?(K) is endowed with the topology ?0 obtained as an inductive limit of compact-open topologies (see §4). Not only Theorem 1 applies to ?(K), with E replaced by ?(K) in its statement, but also ?(K) leads to pure uniform holomorphy if and only if E is separable (see Theorem 2).  相似文献

A sufficient condition is given when a subspaceLL 1(μ,X) of the space of Bochner integrable function, defined on a finite and positive measure space (S, Φ, μ) with values in a Banach spaceX, is locally uniformly convex renormable in terms of the integrable evaluations {∫ A fdμ;f∈L}. This shows the lifting property thatL 1(μ,X) is renormable if and only ifX is, and indicates a large class of renormable subspaces even ifX does not admit and equivalent locally uniformly convex norm.  相似文献

In this paper, for two nonempty subsets X and Y of a linear space E, we define the class KKM(X,Y) and investigate the fixed point problem for T∈KKM(X,X) with X an almost convex subset of a locally convex space. Our fixed point theorem contains Lassonde fixed point theorem for Kakutani factorizable multifunctions as special case.  相似文献

Let X be a compact first countable space. In this paper we show that the set of isometries of C(X) that are involutions is algebraically reflexive. As a consequence of a recent work of Botelho and Jamison this leads to the conclusion that the set of generalized bi-circular projections on C(X) is also algebraically reflexive. We also consider these questions for the space C(X,E) where E is a uniformly convex Banach space.  相似文献

In this paper we consider proximinality questions for higher ordered dual spaces. We show that for a finite dimensional uniformly convex space X, the space C(K,X) is proximinal in all the duals of even order. For any family of uniformly convex Banach spaces {Xα}{αΓ} we show that any finite co-dimensional proximinal subspace of X=c0Xα is strongly proximinal in all the duals of even order of X.  相似文献

We prove that if U is a balanced Hb (U)-domain of holomorphy in Tsirelson's space then the spectrum of Hb (U) is identified with U. We derive theorems of Banach Stone type for algebras of holomorphic functions and algebras of holomorphic germs.  相似文献

It is shown that, on a closed convex subset X of a real Hausdorff locally convex space E, a continuous linear functional x′ on E has an extremum at an extreme point of X, provided X contains no line and X ∩ (x′)?1 (λ0) is non-empty and weakly compact for some real λ0. It is also shown that any weakly locally compact closed convex subset of E that contains no line is the sum of its asymptotic cone and the closed convex hull of its extreme points.  相似文献

LetU be an open subset of a complex locally convex spaceE, andH(U) the space of holomorphic functions fromU toC. If the dualE′ ofE is nuclear with respect to the topology generated by the absolutely convex compact subsets ofE, then it is shown thatH(U) endowed with the compact open topology is a nuclear space. In particular, ifE is the strong dual of a Fréchet nuclear space, thenH(U) is a Fréchet nuclear space.  相似文献

Let (E,E) be a dual pair of vector spaces. The paper studies general conditions which allow to lift analyticity (or K-analyticity) from the weak topology σ(E,E) to stronger ones in the frame of (E,E). First we show that the Mackey dual of a space Cp(X) is analytic iff the space X is countable. This yields that for uncountable analytic spaces X the Mackey dual of Cp(X) is weakly analytic but not analytic. We show that the Mackey dual E of an (LF)-space of a sequence of reflexive separable Fréchet spaces with the Heinrich density condition is analytic, i.e. E is a continuous image of the Polish space NN. This extends a result of Valdivia. We show also that weakly quasi-Suslin locally convex Baire spaces are metrizable and complete (this extends a result of De Wilde and Sunyach). We provide however a large class of weakly analytic but not analytic metrizable separable Baire topological vector spaces (not locally convex!). This will be used to prove that analyticity is not a three-space property but we show that a metrizable topological vector space E is analytic if E contains a complete locally convex analytic subspace F such that the quotient E/F is analytic. Several questions, remarks and examples are included.  相似文献

A metric space X is straight if for each finite cover of X by closed sets, and for each real valued function f on X, if f is uniformly continuous on each set of the cover, then f is uniformly continuous on the whole of X. The straight spaces have been studied in [A. Berarducci, D. Dikranjan, J. Pelant, An additivity theorem for uniformly continuous functions, Topology and its Applications 146-147 (2005) 339-352], which contains characterization of the straight spaces within the class of the locally connected spaces (they are the uniformly locally connected ones) and the class of the totally disconnected spaces (they coincide with the totally disconnected Atsuji spaces). We show that the completion of a straight space is straight and we characterize the dense straight subspaces of a straight space. In order to clarify further the relation between straightness and the level of local connectedness of the space we introduce two more intermediate properties between straightness and uniform local connectedness and we give various examples to distinguish them. One of these properties coincides with straightness for complete spaces and provides in this way a useful characterization of complete straight spaces in terms of the behaviour of the quasi-components of the space.  相似文献

Let X be a locally convex Hausdorff space and let C0(S,X) be the space of all continuous functions f:SX, with compact support on the locally compact space S. In this paper we prove a Riesz representation theorem for a class of bounded operators T:C0(S,X)→X, where the representing integrals are X-valued Pettis integrals with respect to bounded signed measures on S. Under the additional assumption that X is a locally convex space, having the convex compactness property, or either, X is a locally convex space whose dual X is a barrelled space for an appropriate topology, we obtain a complete identification between all X-valued Pettis integrals on S and the bounded operators T:C0(S,X)→X they represent. Finally we give two illustrations of the representation theorem proved, in the particular case when X is the topological dual of a locally convex space.  相似文献

A convexity on a set X is a family of subsets of X which contains the whole space and the empty set as well as the singletons and which is closed under arbitrary intersections and updirected unions. A uniform convex space is a uniform topological space endowed with a convexity for which the convex hull operator is uniformly continuous. Uniform convex spaces with homotopically trivial polytopes (convex hulls of finite sets) are absolute extensors for the class of metric spaces; if they are completely metrizable then a continuous selection theorem à la Michael holds. Upper semicontinuous maps have approximate selections and fixed points, under the usual assumptions.  相似文献

An interesting result by T. Kato and A. Pazy says that a contractive semigroup (T(t)) t≥0 on a uniformly convex space X is holomorphic iff $\limsup_{t \downarrow0} \|T(t) - \operatorname{Id}\| < 2$ . We study extensions of this result which are valid on arbitrary Banach spaces for semigroups which are not necessarily contractive. This allows us to prove a general extrapolation result for holomorphy of semigroups on interpolation spaces of exponent θ∈(0,1). As an application we characterize boundedness of the generator of a cosine family on a UMD-space by a zero-two law. Moreover, our methods can be applied to $\mathcal{R}$ -sectoriality: We obtain a characterization of maximal regularity by the behaviour of the semigroup at zero and show extrapolation results.  相似文献

Summary We study the bounded sets in the space of holomorphic germs defined on compact subsets of non-metrizable locally convex spaces. We relate this problem to the problem of existence of uniform Cauchy estimates for the bounded subsets. We show that the space of holomorphic germs defined on a compact subset of a reflexive dual Fréchet space is regular if the bounded subsets of the space of holomorphic germs defined at the origin have uniform Cauchy estimates.  相似文献

Let X be a completely regular Hausdorff space and Cb(X) be the space of all real-valued bounded continuous functions on X, endowed with the strict topology βσ. We study topological properties of continuous and weakly compact operators from Cb(X) to a locally convex Hausdorff space in terms of their representing vector measures. In particular, Alexandrov representation type theorems are derived. Moreover, a Yosida-Hewitt type decomposition for weakly compact operators on Cb(X) is given.  相似文献

We consider a convexity notion for complex spaces X with respect to a holomorphic line bundle L over X. This definition has been introduced by Grauert and, when L is analytically trivial, we recover the standard holomorphic convexity. In this circle of ideas, we prove the counterpart of the classical Remmert’s reduction result for holomorphically convex spaces. In the same vein, we show that if H0(X,L) separates each point of X, then X can be realized as a Riemann domain over the complex projective space Pn, where n is the complex dimension of X and L is the pull-back of O(1).  相似文献

In this paper, we prove that strongly convex space and almost locally uniformly rotund space, very convex space and weakly almost locally uniformly rotund space are respectively equivalent. We also investigate a few properties of k-strongly convex space and k-very convex space, and discuss the applications of strongly convex space and very convex space in approximation theory.  相似文献

Let U be an absolutely convex open subset of a complex barrelled (DF)-space E and let F be a commutative Banach algebra with identity. Let Hb(U, F) be the space of holomorphic mappings from U into F that are bounded on the U-bounded sets and let Hb (U, F) be the space of the holomorphic mappings from U into F that are uniformly weakly continuous on the U-bounded sets, both endowed with the topology τb of uniform convergence on the U-bounded sets. The spectra of (Hwu (U, F), τb) and (Hb(U, F), τb) are studied.  相似文献
