Epitaxial La1−xSrxMnO3 (LSMO) films were prepared by excimer laser-assisted metal organic deposition (ELAMOD) at a low temperature using ArF, KrF, and XeCl excimer lasers. Cross-section transmission electron microscopy (XTEM) observations confirmed the epitaxial growth and homogeneity of the LSMO film on a SrTiO3 (STO) substrate, which was prepared using ArF, KrF, and XeCl excimer lasers. It was found that uniform epitaxial films could be grown at 500 °C by laser irradiation. When an XeCl laser was used, an epitaxial film was formed on the STO substrate at a fluence range from 80 to 140 mJ/cm2 of the laser fluence for the epitaxial growth of LSMO film on STO substrate was changed. When the LaAlO3 (LAO) substrate was used, an epitaxial film was only obtained by ArF laser irradiation, and no epitaxial film was obtained using the KrF and XeCl lasers. When the back of the amorphous LSMO film on an LAO substrate was irradiated using a KrF laser, no epitaxial film formed. Based on the effect of the wavelength and substrate material on the epitaxial growth, formation of the epitaxial film would be found to be photo thermal reaction and photochemical reaction. The maximum temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) of the epitaxial La0.8Sr0.2MnO3 film on an STO substrate grown using an XeCl laser is 4.0%/K at 275 K. XeCl lasers that deliver stabilized pulse energies can be used to prepare LSMO films with good a TCR.  相似文献

Epitaxial VO2 films were prepared on the TiO2 (001) substrates by the excimer-laser-assisted metal–organic deposition (ELAMOD). The quality of the epitaxial films obtained by irradiation with a KrF laser was found to be affected by the film structure obtained after preheating at 500 or 300°C. When the films containing crystal domains, which were obtained by preheating at 500°C, were irradiated with the laser at room temperature under a base pressure of 250 Pa, epitaxial and polycrystalline VO2 phases were simultaneously formed. In contrast, when the amorphous films containing organic components, which were obtained by preheating at 300°C, were irradiated with the laser at room temperature in air, a single phase of epitaxial VO2 was formed. By using thermal simulations, we determined that the formation of the epitaxial phase was affected both by the temperature distribution within the film during the laser irradiation and by the laser intensity at the interface between the substrate and the film. The latter factor is considered to play a role in the nucleation of crystallization, causing the epitaxial phase to form preferentially compared to the polycrystalline phase in the amorphous matrix of the films. These results indicate that the ELAMOD process is effective for the fabrication of epitaxial VO2 films at low temperature.  相似文献

La0.8Sr0.2MnO3 films were prepared on SrTiO3 (STO) and LaAlO3 (LAO) substrates using excimer laser-assisted metal organic deposition (ELAMOD). For the LAO substrate, no epitaxial La0.8Sr0.2MnO3 film was obtained by laser irradiation in the fluence range from 60 to 110 mJ/cm2 with heating at 500 °C. On the other hand, an epitaxial La0.8Sr0.2MnO3 film on the STO substrate was formed by laser irradiation in the fluence range from 60 to 100 mJ/cm2 with heating at 500 °C. To optimize the electrical properties for an IR sensor, the effects of the laser fluence, the irradiation time and the film thickness on the temperature dependence of the resistance and temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR: defined as 1/R·(dR/dT)) of the LSMO films were investigated. An LSMO film on the STO substrate that showed the maximum TCR of 3.9% at 265 K was obtained by the ELAMOD process using the KrF laser.  相似文献

Excimer-laser-assisted metal–organic deposition (ELAMOD) was used to prepare Sb-doped epitaxial (001) SnO2 thin films on (001) TiO2 substrates at room temperature. The effects of laser fluence, the number of shots with the laser, and Sb content on the electrical properties such as resistivity, carrier concentration, and carrier mobility of the films were investigated. The resistivity of the Sb-doped epitaxial (001) SnO2 thin film prepared using an ArF laser was lower than that of the film prepared using a KrF laser. The van der Pauw method was used to measure the resistivity, carrier concentration, and carrier mobility of the Sb-doped epitaxial (001) SnO2 thin films in order to determine the effect of Sb content on the electrical resistivity of the films. The lowest resistivity obtained for the Sb-doped epitaxial (001) SnO2 thin films prepared using ELAMOD with the ArF laser and 2 % Sb content was 2.5 × 10?3 Ω cm. The difference between the optimal Sb concentrations and resistivities of the films produced using either ELAMOD or conventional thermal MOD was discussed.  相似文献

La0.8Sr0.2MnO3 (LSMO) films were prepared on LaAlO3 substrates by excimer laser metal organic deposition (ELMOD) at 500 °C. The temperature dependence of resistance of the LSMO films was investigated by changing the laser fluence, irradiation time, and film thickness. It was found that the resistance of the LSMO films 80 nm in thickness that were irradiated by an ArF laser at a fluence of 100 mJ/cm2 for 60 min showed a metallic temperature dependence, and the maximum temperature coefficient of resistance of the films (defined as 1/R×dR/dT) was 3.4% at 265 K. A novel synthesis was developed for enhanced luminescence in sesquioxide phosphors containing Eu3+ activator. It consisted of two annealing steps: reduction under vacuum with gaseous H2 at 10 Torr and 1300 °C and re-oxidation at 300–1500 °C in air. The integrated luminescence intensity of the monoclinic Eu2O3 phosphor was enhanced ca. 21 times by this method compared with conventional processing. The photoluminescence (PL) intensity was maximized at re-oxidation temperatures of 500–1100 °C. The PL characteristics of monoclinic Eu2O3 and Gd2O3:0.06Eu samples were compared with a commercial cubic Y2O3:Eu phosphor. The evolution of physical characteristics during the two-step annealing was studied by Raman spectroscopy, XPS, XRD, PL decay analysis, and SEM. PL decay lifetime increased proportionally to the PL intensity over the range 0.5–100 μs. Additional vibrational modes appeared at 490, 497, and 512 cm?1 after the two-step annealing. The increase in PL intensity was ascribed to the formation of excess oxygen vacancies and their redistribution during annealing. Resonance crossovers between the charge transfer state and the emitting 5DJ states are discussed in relation to reported luminescence saturation mechanisms for oxysulfides Ln2O2S:Eu3+ (Ln=Y, La).  相似文献

Nanocrystalline Y2Si2O7:Eu phosphor with an average size about 60 nm is easily prepared using silica aerogel as raw material under ultrasonic irradiation and annealing temperature at 300-600 °C and this nanocrystalline decomposes into Y2O3:Eu and silica by heat treatment at 700-900 °C. The excitation broad band centered at 283 and 254 nm results from Eu3+ substituting for Y3+ in Y2Si2O7 and Y2O3/SiO2, respectively. Compared with Y2O3:Eu/SiO2 crystalline, the PL excitation and emission peaks of Y2Si2O7:Eu nanocrystalline red-shift and lead to the enhance of its luminescence intensity due to the different chemical surroundings of Eu3+ in above nanocrystallines. The decrease of PL intensity may be ascribed to quenching effect resulting from more defects in Y2O3:Eu/SiO2 crystalline.  相似文献

Ca0.997Pr0.002TiO3 (CPTO) thin films that show strong red luminescence were successfully prepared by means of an excimer laser assisted metal organic deposition (ELAMOD) process with a KrF laser at a fluence of 100 mJ/cm2, a pulse duration of 26 ns, and a repetition rate of 20 Hz at 100°C in air. The CPTO films grew on the silica, borosilicate, and indium-tin-oxide (ITO) glasses. The crystallinity of the CPTO films depended on the substrates; the films were well grown on the borosilicate and ITO glasses compared to the silica glass. To elucidate the key factors for the crystallization of the CPTO films in this process, we carried out numerical simulations for the temperature variation at the laser irradiation, using a heat diffusion equation, and compared the experimental data with thermal simulations. According to the results, we have shown that a large optical absorbance of the film and a small thermal conductivity of the substrate provide effective annealing time and temperature for the crystallization of the CPTO films, and polycrystalline intermediate layer which has a large optical absorption such as the ITO also plays a key role for the nucleation of the CPTO crystals in the ELAMOD process.  相似文献

UV-absorbing silicon monoxide (SiO x , x≈1) thin films on fused silica substrates are irradiated by an ArF excimer laser (wavelength 193 nm) in the sub-ablation threshold regime. Multi-pulse irradiation of films with ∼200-nm thickness at a fluence of about 100 mJ/cm2 leads to a significant increase of the UV transmission, indicating the oxidation of SiO x to SiO2. The quality of the obtained films after this laser annealing process depends on the oxygen content of the environment. Irradiation in air at atmospheric pressure leads to the formation of sub-micron-sized oxide particles on top of the film. Structured illumination is applied either to form areas of the film with changed transmission and refractive index, or for the formation of regular particle patterns with sub-micron periods. These processes can be utilized for the fabrication of phase masks or for various types of surface functionalization.  相似文献

Eu,Ti co-doped Y2O2S:0.03Ti,0.03Eu phosphors and single Eu or Ti doped Y2O2S phosphors were prepared and their luminescent properties were investigated in detail by photoluminescence (PL) spectra, long afterglow spectra and thermoluminescence spectra measurements. The results showed that Y2O2S:Ti,Eu phosphors possess orange-red afterglow color with afterglow time above 5 h. The reddish afterglow color, which corresponds to a set of linear Eu3+ emissions at low-energy range (540-630 nm), was demonstrated to come from the energy transfer process from yellow Ti afterglow emissions, the proposed energy transfer mechanism may well explain the Eu3+ afterglow emission.  相似文献

One-dimensional (1D) Gd2O3:Eu3+ nano-rods and micro-rods were prepared using a facile sol-gel precipitation method, without a template and with a post-growth heat treatment in air. Based on scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) data, hexagonal Gd(OH)3:Eu3+ micro-rods, 60∼90 nm in diameter and 700 nm to 1 μm in length, were synthesized and then transformed by calcining (800°C, 2 hr) to cubic Gd2O3:Eu3+ with the same morphology and dimensions. Nano-rods of Eu3+ doped Gd(OH)3 and calcined Gd2O3, 60∼90 nm diameter and 150∼300 nm length, were prepared by adding polyethylene glycol (PEG) as a capping agent during the sol-gel synthesis. Photoluminescence (PL) spectra exhibited the 5D07F2 transitions of Eu3+ at 612 and 627 nm from excitation at 280 nm. Photoluminescence excitation (PLE) data showed that a small fraction of PL from Eu3+ resulted from direct excitation, but most PL resulted from the oxygen to europium charge-transfer band (CTB) between 250 and 280 nm.  相似文献

A SnO2 film has been prepared by an excimer laser metal organic deposition (ELMOD) process using an XeCl laser. The effects of the laser fluence, shot number, and the pretreatment temperature of the Sn acetylacetonate (Sn-acac) on the crystallization of the SnO2 film were investigated by X-ray diffraction and infrared spectroscopy. When the MO spin-coated film preheated at room temperature on a Si substrate was irradiated by the laser at a fluence of 100 mJ/cm2 and at a repetition rate of 10 Hz for 5 min, a crystallized SnO2 film was successfully obtained without heat treatment. At a fluence of 260 mJ/cm2, the highest crystalline film was formed. On the other hand, when the amorphous SnO2 film was irradiated by the laser at 260 mJ/cm2, the crystallinity of the SnO2 film was improved. SnO2 films were also prepared by conventional thermal MOD in a temperature range from 300 to 900 °C. The crystallinity of the SnO2 films prepared by the ELMOD process at room temperature was higher than that of the films prepared by heating at 900 °C for 60 min. Pulsed laser deposition has been used to fabricate nanostructured BaCe0.85Y0.15O3−δ films. Protonic conduction of the fabricated BaCe0.85Y0.15O3−δ films was compared to the sintered BaCe0.85Y0.15O3−δ. Sintered samples and laser targets were prepared by sintering BaCe0.85Y0.15O3−δ powders derived by solid state synthesis. Films 1 to 8 μm thick were deposited by KrF excimer laser on porous Al2O3 substrates. Thin films were fabricated at deposition temperatures of 700 to 950 °C at O2 pressures up to 200 mTorr using laser pulse energy densities of 1.4–3 J/cm2. Fabricated films were characterized by X-ray diffraction, electron microscopy and electrical impedance spectroscopy. Single phase BaCe0.85Y0.15O3−δ films with a columnar growth morphology are observed with preferred crystal growth along the [100] or [001] direction. Results indicate [100] growth dependence upon laser pulse energy. Electrical conductivity of bulk samples produced by solid state sintering and thin film samples were measured over a temperature range of 100 to 900 °C. Electrical conduction behavior was dependent upon film deposition temperature. Maximum conductivity occurs at deposition temperature of 900 °C; the electrical conductivity exceeds the sintered specimen. All other deposited films exhibit a lower electrical conductivity than the sintered specimen. Activation energy for electrical conduction showed dependence upon deposition temperature, it varied from 115 to 54 kJ. Film microstructure was attributed to the difference in electrical conductivity of the BaCe0.85Y0.15O3−δ films.  相似文献

Ca-doped LaMnO3 (LCMO) thin films have been successfully prepared on SrTiO3 (STO) and [(LaAlO3)0.3-(SrAlTaO6)0.7] (LSAT) substrates using the excimer laser assisted metal-organic deposition (ELAMOD) process. The crystallization and the epitaxial growth of the amorphous metal-organic LCMO thin films have been achieved using a KrF excimer laser irradiation while the substrates were kept at constant temperature of 500 °C. Epitaxial films were obtained using laser fluence in the interval of 50-120 mJ/cm2. The microstructure of the LCMO films was studied using cross-section transmission electron microscopy. High quality of LCMO films having smooth surfaces and sharp interfaces were obtained on both the STO and the LSAT substrates. The effect of the laser fluence on the temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) was investigated. The largest values of TCR of the LCMO grown on the LSAT and the STO substrates of 8.3% K−1 and 7.46% K−1 were obtained at different laser fluence of 80 mJ/cm2 and 70 mJ/cm2, respectively.  相似文献

A novel technique based on the excimer laser induced crystallization and modification of TiO2 thin films is being reported. W+6 ions loaded TiO2 (WTO) precursor films were prepared by a modified sol–gel method and spin-coated onto microscopic glass slides. Pulsed KrF (248 nm, 13 ns) excimer laser was used to irradiate the WTO amorphous films at various laser parameters. Mesoporous and nanostructured films consisting of anatase and rutile were obtained after laser irradiation at room temperature. The effect of varying W+6 ions concentrations on structural and optical properties the WTO films was analyzed by X-ray diffraction, field-emission scanning electron microscope, UV-Vis spectrophotometer and transmission electron microscope before and after laser treatment. Films irradiated for 10 pulses at 65–75 mJ/cm2 laser fluence, exhibited anatase whereas higher parameters promoted the formation of rutile. XPS results revealed WO3 along with minor proportion of WO2 compounds after laser irradiation. Photo-absorbance of the WTO films was increased with increase in W+6 ions concentration in the film. TEM results exhibited a crystallite size of 15 nm which was confirmed from SEM results as well.  相似文献

A tin-doped indium oxide (ITO) film on a SiO2 substrate was prepared by photo-irradiation of spin-coated nanoparticles using a Xe excimer lamp and a KrF excimer laser. The effects of the excimer lamp and the excimer laser on the resistivity, mobility, and carrier concentration of the film were investigated. To better understand how to control the microstructure of the film, we investigated the effect of thickness on the resistivity of a film prepared by the two-step process, and found that the resistivity was higher in a thicker film. Using two-step irradiation plus one-step KrF irradiation in N2 at room temperature, we produced an ITO film with lowest resistivity of any in this study. The electrical resistivity of this film was 5.94×10−4 Ω cm. On the other hand, when using a simple thermal process, the resistivity of a film sintered at 500°C in N2 was 4.10×10−3 Ω cm. The differences in resistivity are discussed on the basis of the microstructure of the films using atomic force microscopy and Hall measurements.  相似文献

Uniform and crack free polycrystalline lutetium oxide (Lu2O3:(Eu,Pr)) films were fabricated by Pechini sol-gel method combined with the spin-coating technique. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and atomic force microscope (AFM) characterizations indicated that the obtained film was composed of polycrystalline cubic Lu2O3 phase with an average grain size around 30 nm. The photoluminescence(PL) spectra and decay performances of the Lu2O3:5 mol% Eu films co-doped by 0-0.5 mol% Pr3+ with different concentrations were characterized. It was found that the afterglow was reduced obviously due to the introduction of 0-0.5 mol% Pr3+ in the Lu2O3:5 mol% Eu films coupled by decrease in the emission intensity at 612 nm. The mechanism of afterglow diminishing was discussed based on the thermoluminescence measurements.  相似文献

Phosphors of (Y0.75Gd0.25)2O3:Eu3+ (5 at.%) have been prepared through soft chemistry routes. Conversion of the starting nitrates mixture into oxide is performed through two approaches: (a) hydrothermal treatment (HT) at 200 °C/3 h of an ammonium hydrogen carbonate precipitated mixture and (b) by thermally decomposition of pure nitrate precursor solution at 900 °C in dispersed phase (aerosol) within a tubular flow reactor by spray pyrolysis process (SP). The powders are additionally thermally treated at different temperatures: 600, 1000, and 1100 °C for either 3 or 12 h. HT—derived particles present exclusively one-dimensional morphology (nanorods) up to the temperatures of 600 °C, while the leaf-like particles start to grow afterward. SP—derived particles maintain their spherical shape up to the temperatures of 1100 °C. These submicron sized spheres were actually composed of randomly aggregated nanoparticles. All powders exhibits cubic Ia-3 structure (Y0.75Gd0.25)2O3:Eu and have improved optical characteristics due to their nanocrystalline nature. The detailed study of the influence of structural and morphological powder characteristics on their emission properties is performed based on the results of X-ray powder diffractometry, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray energy dispersive spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and photoluminescence measurements.  相似文献

Eu3+ doped Y2O3 nanophosphors have been synthesized using the simple colloidal precipitation method. Doping of Eu3+ ions in host yttria lattice has been achieved through slow re-crystallization process under wet-chemical conditions followed by annealing at high temperatures (300–1400 °C). The nanophosphors were characterized by using powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and spectrofluorometer techniques. XRD analysis reveals formation of pure cubic phase of Y2O3 in samples annealed at 700 °C or above. Further, the XRD data was successfully used to retrieve the crystallite size and size distribution from powder samples using the FW((1/5)/(4/5))M method. Crystallite size (11–50 nm) extracted from XRD has been found to be consistent with AFM measurements. The PL emission spectra of nanophosphors show bright red emission at 612 nm due to hypersensitive electric dipole (ED) 5D07F2 transition of Eu3+ ions in Y2O3 lattice. Further, photoluminescence studies indicate that optimum value of the Eu3+ to get best luminescence properties is 12 at%. Surface conjugations of these nanophosphors with water soluble dextran biomolecules have also been performed. Surface conjugated rare earth nanophosphors have great potential for bio-applications.  相似文献

A convenient method for preparation of pure and doped yttrium oxide was developed, which is based on irradiation of solutions containing yttrium nitrate and ammonium formate with UV light or accelerated electrons. Solid phase formed under irradiation was consequently calcined at 500?°C or higher temperatures to obtain nanocrystalline yttrium oxide. Addition of small amount of cerium(III) or europium(III) nitrates to irradiated solutions resulted in doping of yttrium oxide with Ce(III) or Eu(III) ions. Under both types of irradiation, the method yields material with high specific surface area, consisting of spherical nanoparticles 25?C100?nm in diameter depending on preparative conditions and post-radiation treatment and with narrow size distribution. In the doped oxides (Y2O3:Ce or Y2O3:Eu), radioluminescence spectra typical for Ce3+ or Eu3+ doped oxide structures were observed.  相似文献
