We continue our program of unifying general relativity and quantum mechanics in terms of a noncommutative algebra А on a transformation groupoid Γ = E × G where E is the total space of a principal fibre bundle over spacetime, and G a suitable group acting on Γ . We show that every a ∊ А defines a random operator, and we study the dynamics of such operators. In the noncommutative regime, there is no usual time but, on the strength of the Tomita–Takesaki theorem, there exists a one-parameter group of automorphisms of the algebra А which can be used to define a state dependent dynamics; i.e., the pair (А, ϕ), where ϕ is a state on А, is a “dynamic object.” Only if certain additional conditions are satisfied, the Connes–Nikodym–Radon theorem can be applied and the dependence on ϕ disappears. In these cases, the usual unitary quantum mechanical evolution is recovered. We also notice that the same pair (А, ϕ) defines the so-called free probability calculus, as developed by Voiculescu and others, with the state ϕ playing the role of the noncommutative probability measure. This shows that in the noncommutative regime dynamics and probability are unified. This also explains probabilistic properties of the usual quantum mechanics.  相似文献

We construct a model unifying general relativity and quantum mechanics in a broader structure of noncommutative geometry. The geometry in question is that of a transformation groupoid given by the action of a finite group on a space E. We define the algebra of smooth complex valued functions on , with convolution as multiplication, in terms of which the groupoid geometry is developed. Owing to the fact that the group G is finite the model can be computed in full details. We show that by suitable averaging of noncommutative geometric quantities one recovers the standard space-time geometry. The quantum sector of the model is explored in terms of the regular representation of the algebra , and its correspondence with the standard quantum mechanics is established.  相似文献

In this paper we study the bilayer quantum Hall (QH) effect on a noncommutative phase space (NCPS). By using perturbation theory, we calculate the energy spectrum, eigenfunction, Hall current, and Hall conductivity of the bilayer QH system, and express them in terms of noncommutative parameters θ and θ^-, respectively. In our calculation, we assume that these parameters vary from laver to laver.  相似文献

In this work, we develop a general framework in which Noncommutative Quantum Mechanics (NCQM), characterized by a space noncommutativity matrix parameter θ=εijk θk and a momentum noncommutativity matrix parameter β=εijk βk, is shown to be equivalent to Quantum Mechanics (QM) on a suitable transformed Quantum Phase Space (QPS). Imposing some constraints on this particular transformation, we firstly find that the product of the two parameters θ and β possesses a lower bound in direct relation with Heisenberg incertitude relations, and secondly that the two parameters are equivalent but with opposite sign, up to a dimension factor depending on the physical system under study. This means that noncommutativity is represented by a unique parameter which may play the role of a fundamental constant characterizing the whole NCQPS. Within our framework, we treat some physical systems on NCQPS : free particle, harmonic oscillator, system of two-charged particles, Hydrogen atom. Among the obtained results, we discover a new phenomenon which consists of a free particle on NCQPS viewed as equivalent to a harmonic oscillator with Larmor frequency depending on β, representing the same particle in presence of a magnetic field $\vec{B}=q^{-1}\vec{\beta}$. For the other examples, additional correction terms depending on β appear in the expression of the energy spectrum. Finally, in the two-particle system case, we emphasize the fact that for two opposite charges noncommutativity is effectively feeled with opposite sign.  相似文献

From the inspection of noncommutative quantum mechanics, we obtain an approximate equivalent relation for the energy dependence of the Planck constant in the noncommutative space, which means a minimal length of the space. We find that this relation is reasonable and it can inherit the main properties of the noncommutative space. Based on this relation, we derive the modified Klein-Gordon equation and Dirac equation. We investigate the scalar field and φ4 model and then quantum electrodynamics in our theory, and derive the corresponding Feynman rules. These results may be considered as reasonable approximations to those of noncommutative quantum field theory. Our theory also shows a connection between the space with a minimal length and the noncommutative space.  相似文献

We construct a deformed C λ-extended Heisenberg algebra in two-dimensional space using noncommuting coordinates which close an algebra depends on statistical parameter characterizing exotic particles. The obtained symmetry is nothing but an exotic particles algebra interpolating between bosonic and deformed fermionic algebras. PACS numbers: 03.65.Fd, 02.40.Gh, 05.30.Pr  相似文献

We study all possible U(1)-extensions of the standard model within the framework of noncommutative geometry with the algebra . Comparison to experimental data about the mass of a hypothetical gauge boson leads to the necessity of introducing at least one new family of heavy fermions.  相似文献

In this paper, we apply Connes' noncommutative geometry and the Seiberg—Witten map to a discrete noncommutative space consisting of n copies of a given noncommutative space R m . The explicit action functional of gauge fields on this discrete noncommutative space is obtained.  相似文献

We present the DKP oscillator model of spins 0 and 1, in a noncommutative space. In the case of spin 0, the equation is reduced to Klein Gordon oscillator type, the wave functions are then deduced and compared with the DKP spinless particle subjected to the interaction of a constant magnetic field. For the case of spin 1, the problem is equivalent with the behavior of the DKP equation of spin 1 in a commutative space describing the movement of a vectorial boson subjected to the action of a constant magnetic field with additional correction which depends on the noncommutativity parameter.  相似文献

Modern development of quantum technologies based on quantum information theory (in particular, laser-based quantum-information technologies) stimulated the analysis of proposed computational, cryptographic, and teleportational schemes from the viewpoint of quantum foundations. It is evident that not all mathematical calculations performed in the complex Hilbert space can directly be realized in the physical space. Recently, analyzing the original EPR paper, we found that their argument was based on the misuse of von Neumann’s projection postulate. In contrast to von Neumann, Einstein, Podolsky, and Rosen (EPR) applied this postulate to the observables represented by the operators with degenerate spectra. It was completely forbidden by von Neumann’s axiomatics of quantum mechanics. It is impossible to repeat the EPR considerations within the von Neumann’s framework. We analyze here quantum teleportation by taking into account von Neumann’s projection postulate. Our analysis shows that the so-called quantum teleportation is impossible within the von Neumann’s framework.  相似文献

A theorem proved by R. Høegh-Krohn in Comm. Math. Phys. 38(1974), 195–224, which yields a possibility to define states of systems of quantum particles by their values on the products , where \mathfraka t , t are time automorphisms and F j are multiplication operators, is generalized and extended. In particular, it is shown that the algebras generated by such products with F j taken from the families of multiplication operators satisfying certain conditions are dense in the algebras of observables in the -weak topology, in which normal states are continuous. This result was obtained for the systems with two types of kinetic energy: the usual one expressed by means of the Laplacian; the relativistic kinetic energy defined by a pseudo-differential operator.  相似文献

In this paper, we discuss the time evolution of the quantum mechanics formalism. Starting from the heroic beginnings of Heisenberg and Schrödinger, we cover successively the rigorous Hilbert space formulation of von Neumann, the practical bra-ket formalism of Dirac, and the more recent rigged Hilbert space approach.  相似文献

Recently, a new noncommutative geometry inspired solution of the coupled Einstein Maxwell field equations including black holes in 4-dimension is found. In this paper, we generalize some aspects of this model to the Reissner Nordstrom (RN) like geometries with large extra dimensions. We discuss Hawking radiation process based on noncommutative inspired solutions. In this framework, existence of black hole remnant and possibility of its detection in LHC are investigated.  相似文献

We say that have the modular intersection property with respect to if(1) -half-sided modular inclusions,(2) (If (1) holds the strong limit exists.) We show that under these conditions the modular groups of and generate a 2-dim.
