Summary The stereochemistry and complexation behaviour of diphenyl diketone monothiosemicarbazone (DKTS) with CuII, CoII, NiII, CdII, ZnII, PdII, PtII, RuIII, RhIII and IrIII have been investigated by means of chemical, magnetic and spectral (i.r., Raman, 1H- and 13C-n.m.r. and electronic) studies. The ligand forms complexes of the M(DKTS)2 type with NiII, CuII and CoII having a distorted octahedral geometry. The absence of a v(M—X) band in the i.r. spectra, coupled with their 1:1 electrolytic conductances, suggests that RuIII, RhIII and IrIII form octahedral complexes of the [M(DKTS)2]Cl type. A four-coordinate structure involving bridging halides is proposed for the ZnII, CdII, PdII and PtII complexes, which have relatively low v(M—X) vibration modes.  相似文献

The complex Pd(μ-OOCMe)4Cu(OH2) · 2Pd3(μ-OOCMe)6 was synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography. In the heterometallic moiety of this complex, the PdII and CuII atoms are at an extraordinary short distance (2.521(3) Å). DFT quantum-chemical calculations of the geometric and electronic structure of a series of heterobinuclear paddlewheel complexes PdIIMII(μ-OOCMe)4L (M = ZnII, NiII, CuII, CoII, FeII; L = OH2 and NCH) and their formate analogues PdIIMII(μ-OOCH)4L (M = ZnII, NiII, FeII) showed that the extraordinary short Pd?M distance in all these complexes is caused only by the tightening effect of carboxylate bridges rather than by the metal-metal bond. The direct Pd-M interaction becomes possible only after removal of electrons from the antibonding orbitals and formation of oxidized complexes of the [PdIII(μ-OOCMe)4NiIII]2+ type.  相似文献

Two tridentate Schiff bases having ONS and NNS donor sequences were prepared by condensing S-benzyldithiocarbazate (NH2NHCSSCH2Ph) (SBDTC) with pyridine-2-carboxaldehyde and salicylaldehyde, respectively. Complexes of these ligands with NiII, ZnII, CrIII, CoII, CuII, and SnII were studied and characterized by elemental analyses and various physico-chemical techniques. NiII, CuII, ZnII and SnII complexes were four-coordinate while the CrIII, SrIII and CoIII complexes were six-coordinate. The ONS Schiff base was moderately active against leukemia, while its zinc, antimony and cobalt complexes were strongly active against leukemic cells with DC50 = 0.35–5.00.  相似文献

Summary Complexes of CoII, NiII, CuII, ZnII, PdII, CdII, HgII and CuI with ethyl--(N-phenylthiocarbamyl)cyanoacetate (HETCA) have been synthesized and characterized. The i.r. spectra show that HETCA behaves as a mononegative bidentate ligand, in the thiol tautomeric form. HETCA reduces CuCl2 to give a diamagnetic CuI complex. A tetrahedral structure is proposed for the CoII complex, while a square-planar structure is proposed for the NiII, CuII, and PdII complexes.  相似文献

Summary The synthesis and characterization of MnII, CoII, NiII, CuII, ZnII, CdII UO 2 2+ , CrIII and FeIII complexes of biacetylmonoxime nicotinoyl hydrazone (H2BMNH) are reported. Elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic moment and spectral (i.r., visible and n.m.r.) measurements have been used to characterize the complexes. I.r. spectral data show that the ligand behaves in a bidentate and/or tridentate manner. An octahedral structure is proposed for the MnII, NiII, CrIII and FeIII complexes, while a square-planar structure is proposed for both CoII and CuII complexes on the basis of magnetic and spectral measurements.  相似文献

Summary N-salicylidene anthranilamide (H2SAA) and its CrIII, MnII, FeIII, CoII, NiII and CuII complexes were prepared and characterized by physicochemical and spectroscopic data. H2SAA enolizes to give a dibasic ONO donor set in the divalent metal complexes. It also binds to the trivalent metal ions in a nonenolized form using a monobasic ONN donor set. CoII is oxidized to CoIII during complexation. Octahedral geometries are proposed for CrIII, MnII, FeIII and CoIII complexes, while square planar geometries are suggested for the NiII and CuII complexes. Phenoxide bridging in the CrIII and FeIII complexes and enoxide bridging in the NiII and CuII complexes is proposed.  相似文献

Chelate Formation with 1,3-Diamino-2-methylene Propane1 1,3-Diamino-2-methylene propane and its N, N′ alkylated derivatives form crystalline chelates with CoII (1:3), NiII (1:1, 1:2 and 1:3), PdII (1:1, 1:2), RhIII (1:1) and CuII (1:2). Experiments for preparation of olefin complexes were unsuccessful. By potentiometric measurements the base strengths of the ligands as well as the stability constants of the CoII, NiII, PdII, CuII, ZnII, CdII chelates were evaluated and the kinetics of the formation of the 1:1 PdII complex is investigated. The magnetic behaviour of the CoII?, PdII? and CuII? chelates is normal, whereas[Ni(dia)2(H2O)2] (ClO4)2 shows anormal behaviour due to configurational isomerism between square planar and octahedral ligand geometry in solid state in type of a LIFSCHITZ -isomerism. The ESR-spectra of the CuII?compounds are discussed and the bonding parameters of the Cu? N?bonds were calculated.  相似文献

Summary The synthesis and characterization of CrIII, MnII, FeIII, CoII, NiII, CuII, ZnII, CdII and UO inf2 sup2+ complexes of N-isonicotinamido-N-benzoylthiocarbamide (H2IBTC) are reported. I.r. spectral data show that the ligand behaves in a bidentate, tridentate and/or tetradentate manner. Different stereochemistries are proposed for CrIII, MnII, FeIII, CoII, NiII and CuII complexes on the basis of spectral and magnetic studies. The i.r. data indicate that the carbonyl oxygen of the benzoyl moiety is the backbone of chelation in most complexes.  相似文献

CrIII, MnII, CoII, NiII, CuII and PdII complexes of the macrocyclic ligand, 2,3,5,8,9,11 hexamethyl-1,4,7,10 tetraaza- cyclododeca-1,3,7,9 tetraene (DADAP), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurements, i.r., electronic and e.p.r. spectral studies. These spectral studies suggest an octahedral geometry for the CrIII, MnII and CoII, square planar geometry for NiII and PdII and tetragonal geometry for CuII complexes.  相似文献

Summary The synthesis and characterization of CrII, MnII, FeII, CoII, NiII, PdII, CuII, ZnII, CdII and UO 2 2+ complexes of 1-meotinoyl-4-phenyl-3-thiosemicarbazide (H2NTS) are reported. I.r. spectral data show that the ligand behaves in a bidentate and/or tetradentate manner. An octahedral structure is proposed for the CrII, FeII and NiII complexes; a tetrahedral structure for the MnII, CoII and Cu(NTS)·2H2O complexes; and a square planar structure for the PdII and Cu(HNTS)Cl·H2O complexes. The i.r. data suggest that the FeII complex contains a hydroxo bridge.  相似文献

The effect of the nature of organic electron transfer agents and of PtII, PdII, RhII, CoII, NiII, CuII, CrIII, MnII, TiIII, VIII, ZnII, and AgI metal ions on the kinetics of the homogeneous reduction ofgem-dichlorocyclopropanes has been studied. PtII, PdII, RhIII, CoII, and NiII ions accelerate this process, VIII and AgI ions exert practically no effect on the reduction rate, and the rest of the metal ions exhibit inhibitor properties.Translated fromIzvestiya Akademii Nauk. Summary Bis(acetylacetonato)VOII,–CoII,–NiII,–CuII,–ZnII, –UO 2 II and tris(acetylacetonato)FeIII react with benzohydroxamic acid to yield the corresponding mixed ligand complexes as a result of displacement of one acetylacetone molecule. Intermolecular association may be the reason for six-coordination geometry around the metal ions. A t.g.a. study of the complexes shows, in most cases, initial loss of alcohol and water molecules associated with the complexes; subsequent decomposition steps are characterised by very sharp weight loss. The photochemical stability of the complexes has been studied. Intraligand excitation causes a decomposition in the case of FeIII and VOII-complexes but no detectable effect for CoII, NiII, CuII, ZnII, or UO 2 II -complexes.  相似文献

We present a straightforward and generally applicable synthesis route for cofacially linked homo- and heterobimetallic porphyrin complexes. The protocol allows the synthesis of unsymmetrical aryl-based meso-meso as well as β-meso-linked porphyrins. Our method significantly increases the overall yield for the published compound known as o-phenylene-bisporphyrin (OBBP) by a factor of 6.8. Besides the synthesis of 16 novel homobimetallic complexes containing MnIII, FeIII, NiII, CuII, ZnII, and PdII, we achieved the first single-crystal X-ray structure of an unsymmetrical cofacial benzene-linked porphyrin dimer containing both planar-chiral enantiomers of a NiII2 complex. Additionally, this new methodology allows access to heterobimetallic complexes such as the FeIII-NiII containing carbon monoxide dehydrogenase active site analogue. The isolated species were investigated by various techniques, including ion mobility spectrometry, DFT calculations, and UV/Vis spectroscopy. This allowed us to probe the influence of interplane distance on Soret band splitting.  相似文献

Summary The complexes of MnII, CoII, NiII, CuII, ZnII, CdII, HgII, CoIII and UO 2 2+ ions with 2-hydroxyimino-3-(2-hydrazonopyridyl)-butane (HL) have been synthesised and characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductivities, magnetic measurements and spectral (i.r., visible, n.m.r.) studies. I.r. spectra show that HL behaves as a neutral or mononegative ligand and binds in a bidentate and/or tridentate manner. Also, HL behaves as oxidizing agent towards CoII forming diamagnetic CoIII complexes depending on the preparative conditions. Different stereochemistries are proposed for MnII, CoIII, CoII, NiII and CuII on the basis of spectral and magnetic studies.  相似文献

A new series of the polydentate Schiff base CuII, CoII, NiII, PdII and ZnII complexes derived from ethylenediamine (eda), diethylenetriamine (dea) and tris(2-aminoethyl)amine (taa) have been prepared by template condensation in MeOH solution, and characterized by i.r., electronic spectral data, elemental analyses, conductivity and magnetic measurements. The 1H- and 13C-n.m.r. and mass spectral data of the NiII, PdII and ZnII complexes have been recorded. In all complexes, some of the chloride ions coordinate to the metal ions. From conductivity measurements, it is shown that the complexes are electrolytes. The NiII, PdII and ZnII complexes have diamagnetic character. In this study, the Schiff base CuII and CoII complexes have sub-normal magnetic moments commensurate with their binuclear or tetranuclear nature. Some show antimicrobial activity against bacteria and yeast.  相似文献

1-Isonicotinoyl-4-benzoyl-3-thiosemicarbazide (IBtsc) and its CrIII, MnII, FeIII, CoII, NiII, CuII and ZnII complexes have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility measurements, u.v.–vis., i.r., n.m.r. and FAB mass spectral data. The room temperature e.s.r. spectra of the CrIII, FeIII and CuII complexes yield values, characteristic of octahedral, tetrahedral and square-planar complexes, respectively. The Mössbauer spectra of [Fe(IBtsc-H)Cl2] at room temperature and at 78 K suggest the presence of high-spin FeIII. The NiII, CrIII and CuII complexes show semiconducting behaviour in the solid state, but the ZnII complex is an insulator at room temperature. IBtsc and its soluble complexes have been screened against several bacteria, fungi and tumour cell lines.  相似文献

CoII, NiII, CuII, ZnII and CdII complexes of N,N-bis(2-{[(2-methyl-2-phenyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-yl)methyl]amino}butyl)N′,N′-dihydroxyethanediimidamide (LH2) were synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR, 1H- and 13C-NMR spectra, electronic spectra, magnetic susceptibility measurements, conductivity measurements and thermogravimetric analyses (TGA). The CoII, NiII and CuII complexes of LH2 were synthesized with 1?:?2 metal ligand stoichiometry. ZnII and CdII complexes with LH2 have a metal ligand ratio of 1?:?1. The reaction of LH2 with CoII, NiII, CuII, ZnII and CdII chloride give complexes Ni(LH)2, Cu(LH)2, Zn(LH2)(Cl)2, Cd(LH2)(Cl)2, respectively.  相似文献

A new ligand, N-phenyl-N -2-furanthiocarbohydrazide (HPhfth), and its complexes with VOIV, MnIII, FeIII, CoII, NiII, CuII and ZnII have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility measurements, i.r., n.m.r., u.v.–vis., mass and FAB mass spectral data. The room temperature e.s.r. spectra of the VOIV, FeIII and CuII complexes yield <g> values characteristic of square pyramidal VOIV, octahedral FeIII and square planar CuII, respectively. The NiII and CuII complexes semiconduct, but the ZnII complex is an insulator at room temperature. However, the conductivity increases as the temperature increases from 303–383 K, with a band gap of 0.21–1.01 eV. HPhfth and its soluble complexes have been screened against several bacteria and fungi.  相似文献

Summary The formation constants of 1-phenyl-3-thiazole-2-ylthiourea complexes with some bivalent metal ions (CuII, NiII, ZnII and MnII) have been determined in 75% EtOH–H2O. Complexes of CuII, NiII, ZnII, HgII and PdII have been isolated and characterized by conductance, i.r., electronic spectra and magnetic measurements. The ligand forms ML complexes with CuII and HgII and ML2 with NiII, ZnII and PdII, where L is the uninegatively charged bidentate ligand and binds through the ring nitrogen and thiocarbonyl sulphur atoms.  相似文献

Condensation of 1H-pyrazole-3,5-dicarboxylic hydrazide with 1H-indole-2,3-dione (isatin) yield the compartmental ligand, which is capable of encapsulating two transition metal ions namely CoII, NiII, CuII, and ZnII. The ligand is a binuclear hexadentate chelate with N4O2 donating sites. The pyrazole core provides the diazine fragment, which serves as an endogenous bridge between the two metal centers. In CoII and NiII complexes, the ligand is in the imidol form and the subsequent coordination through the imidol oxygen. In other complexes, the lactonic oxygen takes part in ligation. All the complexes are non-electrolytes and soluble in DMSO, DMF, and acetonitrile. Spectral and magnetic studies along with analytical data suggest octahedral geometry for the CoII and NiII complexes, whereas the CuII and ZnII complexes are assigned square pyramidal geometry. The CuII and NiII complexes show one electron redox behavior and the rest are electrochemically inactive.  相似文献
