This paper proposes an efficient face representation and recognition method, which combines the both information between rows and those between columns from two-directional 2DPCA on fusion face image and the optimal discriminative information from column-directional 2DLDA. Experiment results on ORL and Yale face database demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

In this paper we propose a two-dimensional multiple maximum scatter difference (2DMMSD) method for face representation and recognition. The new algorithm is based on multiple maximum scatter difference (MMSD) discriminant criterion and image matrices projection technique. The 2DMMSD method does not need to transform image matrix into a vector prior to feature extraction so that it is computationally more efficient and accurate than MMSD in extracting the facial features. Experimental results on ORL and Yale face databases demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method.  相似文献

Fisher linear discriminant analysis (FLDA) is a very popular method in face recognition. But FLDA fails when one image per person is available. This is due to the fact that the within-class scatter matrices cannot be calculated. An image decomposition method that uses QR-decomposition with column pivoting (QRCP) is proposed in this paper to overcome one image per person problem. At first, the image and its two approximations that are evaluated using QRCP-decomposition are all placed in the training set. Then 2D-FLDA method becomes applicable with these new data. The performance of the proposed image decomposition algorithm is tested on five different face databases, namely ORL, FERET, YALE, UMIST, and PolyU-NIR using 2D-FLDA. Our image decomposition algorithm performs better than the SVD based method mentioned by Gao et al. (2008) [1] in terms of recognition rate and training time in all of the above databases.  相似文献

Based on initial nonlinear constitutive equations, we establish the extended displacement and traction boundary integral equations for a piezoelectric medium with a volume electric charge, along with electron and electric current density boundary integral equations for a conductor with a volume electric current. Then, an iterative approach is proposed for investigation of boundary value problems in two-dimensional piezoelectric semiconductors (PSCs). Compared with extended displacements obtained by finite element analysis, this approach is validated via a rectangular PSC under extended external loads. Furthermore, as a numerical example, extended displacements across an elliptical hole in a rectangular PSC are investigated. It is shown that there is a stress concentration near the elliptical hole, which is closely dependent on its shape.  相似文献

In this paper, the q -homotopy analysis transform method (q -HATM) is applied to find the solution for the fractional Lakshmanan-Porsezian-Daniel (LPD) model. The LPD model is the generalization of the non-linear Schrödinger (NLS) equation. The proposed method is graceful fusions of Laplace transform technique with q -homotopy analysis scheme, and the derivative is considered in Caputo sense. In order to validate and illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method, we analysed the projected model in terms of fractional order. Moreover, the physical behaviour of the obtained solution has been captured for the three different cases in terms of 3D and contour plots for diverse values of the fractional order. The obtained results confirm that the future method is easy to implement, highly methodical, and very effective to analyse the behaviour of complex non-linear fractional differential equations exist in the connected areas of science and engineering.  相似文献

An efficient algorithm is proposed for finding all solutions of systems of nonlinear equations with separable mappings. This algorithm is based on interval analysis, the dual simplex method, the contraction method, and a special technique which makes the algorithm not require large memory space and not require copying tableaus. By numerical examples, it is shown that the proposed algorithm could find all solutions of a system of 2000 nonlinear equations in acceptable computation time. In this paper a multiple objective linear programming (MOLP) problem whose feasible region is the production possibility set with variable returns to scale is proposed. By solving this MOLP problem by multicriterion simplex method, the extreme efficient Pareto points can be obtained. Then the extreme efficient units in data envelopment analysis (DEA) with variable returns to scale, considering the specified theorems and conditions, can be obtained. Therefore, by solving the proposed MOLP problem, the non-dominant units in DEA can be found. Finally, a numerical example is provided.  相似文献

An extended version of Hatzopoulos and Haberman (2009) dynamic parametric model is proposed for analyzing mortality structures, incorporating the cohort effect. A one-factor parameterized exponential polynomial in age effects within the generalized linear models (GLM) framework is used. Sparse principal component analysis (SPCA) is then applied to time-dependent GLM parameter estimates and provides (marginal) estimates for a two-factor principal component (PC) approach structure. Modeling the two-factor residuals in the same way, in age-cohort effects, provides estimates for the (conditional) three-factor age-period-cohort model. The age-time and cohort related components are extrapolated using dynamic linear regression (DLR) models. An application is presented for England & Wales males (1841-2006).  相似文献

Data envelopment analysis (DEA), considering the best condition for each decision making unit (DMU), assesses the relative efficiency and partitions DMUs into two sets: efficient and inefficient. Practically, in traditional DEA models more than one efficient DMU are recognized and these models cannot rank efficient DMUs. Some studies have been carried out aiming at ranking efficient DMUs, although in some cases only discrimination of the most efficient unit is desirable. Furthermore, several investigations have been done for finding the most CCR-efficient DMU. The basic idea of the majority of them is to introduce an integrated model which achieves an optimal common set of weights (CSW). This paper presents an efficient adaptive analysis procedure being able to operate in the framework of the node-based smoothed point interpolation method (NS-PIM). The NS-PIM uses three-node triangular cells and is very easy to be implemented, which make it an ideal candidate for adaptive analysis. In the present adaptive procedure, a new error indicator is devised for NS-PIM settings; two ways are proposed to calculate the local critical value; a simple h-type local refinement scheme is adopted and Delaunay technology is used for regenerating optimal new mesh. A number of typical numerical examples involving stress concentration and solution singularities have been tested. The results demonstrate that the present procedure achieves much higher convergence rate results compared to the uniform refinement, and can obtain upper bound solution in strain energy.  相似文献

An efficient and numerically correct program called FastHull for computing the convex hulls of finite point sets in the plane is presented. It is based on the Akl-Toussaint algorithm and the MergeHull algorithm. Numerical correctness of the FastHull procedure is ensured by using special routines for interval arithmetic and multiple precision arithmetic. The FastHull algorithm guaranteesO(N logN) running time in the worst case and has linear time performance for many kinds of input patterns. It appears that the FastHull algorithm runs faster than any currently known 2D convex hull algorithm for many input point patterns.  相似文献

To respond to the compelling air pollution programs, shipping companies are nowadays setting‐up on their fleets modern multisensor systems that stream massive amounts of observational data, which can be considered as varying over a continuous domain. Motivated by this context, a novel procedure is proposed, which extends classical multivariate techniques to the monitoring of multivariate functional data and a scalar quality characteristic related to them. The proposed procedure is shown to be also applicable in real time and is illustrated by means of a real‐case study in the maritime field on the continuous monitoring of operating conditions (ie, the multivariate functional data) and total CO2 emissions (ie, the scalar quality characteristic) at each voyage of a cruise ship. The real‐time monitoring is particularly helpful for promptly supporting managerial decision making by indicating if and when an anomaly occurs during the navigation.  相似文献

This work is a generalization of the immersed interface method for discretization of a nondiagonal anisotropic Laplacian in 2D. This first‐order discretization scheme enforces weakly diagonal dominance of the numerical scheme whenever possible. A necessary and sufficient condition depending on the mesh size h for the existence of this scheme at an interior grid point is found in terms of the anisotropy matrix. The functional principal component analysis is employed to approximate the slope function and the functional predictive variable respectively to construct an estimator of the slope function, and the convergence rate of the estimator is obtained under some regularity conditions.
