Invariant Orders on Lie Groups and Coverings of Ordered Homogeneous Spaces

 In this paper we give a characterization of those reductive or solvable connected, not necessarily simply connected, Lie groups which permit a non-degenerate group order. A non-degenerate group ordering on G always defines a pointed generating invariant convex cone W in the Lie algebra of G, but not every such cone arises in this way. The cones that do are called global. To decide whether a given cone is global or not is a difficult problem which for simply connected groups and invariant cones has completely been solved by Gichev. Integral Representation of Invariant Functions

We characterize those positive functions which are invariant for a bounded kernel, and which have a Choquet-type integral representation. Such a representation relies on the wellknown Choquet-type integral representation of measures which are invariant for a kernel. We apply our results to convolution kernels with spread-out measures on second countable locally compact Abelian groups.     

Nonlinearity of Some Invariant Boolean Functions

One of the hardest problems in coding theory is to evaluate the covering radius of first order Reed–Muller codes RM(1,m), and more recently the balanced covering radius for crypto graphical purposes. The aim of this paper is to present some new results on this subject. We mainly study boolean functions invariant under the action of some finite groups, following the idea of Patterson and Wiedemann [The covering radius of the (1, 15) Reed-Muller Code is atleast 16276. IEEE Trans Inform Theory. Vol. 29 (1983) 354.]. Our method is Fourier transforms and our results are both theoretical and numerical.     

Rotationally Invariant Rank 1 Convex Functions

Value Functions on Simple Artinian Rings

In this paper we introduce the notion of a value function ω on a simple Artinian ring Q whose restriction to the center of Q is a Krull valuation. We then study the structure of a valuation ring Bω corresponding to ω and its ideals. It is shown that Bω is a prime Goldie ring and the set of two-sided ideals of Bω is totally ordered by inclusion with the maximal ideal J(BW). Furthermore, it is proved that if Q is a central simple algebra, then the valuation ring Bω is a Dubrovin valuation ring which is integral over its center.

Generalized Invariant Monotonicity and Invexity of Non-differentiable Functions

This paper is devoted to the study of relationships between several kinds of generalized invexity of locally Lipschitz functions and generalized monotonicity of corresponding Clarke’s subdifferentials. In particular, some necessary and sufficient conditions of being a locally Lipschitz function invex, quasiinvex or pseudoinvex are given in terms of momotonicity, quasimonotonicity and pseudomonotonicity of its Clarke’s subdifferential, respectively. As an application of our results, the existence of the solutions of the variational-like inequality problems as well as the mathematical programming problems (MP) is given. Our results extend and unify the well known earlier works of many authors.     

Generalized Growth Orders for Polymonogenic Functions and Related Inequalities

In this paper we introduce generalized growth orders and growth types in the sense of Shah and Seremeta in the context of polymonogenic functions. They provide a refinement of previously introduced growth orders in the study of the asymptotic growth behavior of functions satisfying higher dimensional Cauchy–Riemann type equations. We prove a number of insight giving inequalities and manage to extend some basic results that were recently proved for the context of the usual first order Cauchy–Riemann system in Clifford analysis.
