The dynamics of a predator-prey model with continuous threshold prey harvesting and prey refuge is studied. One central question is how harvesting and refuge could directly affect the dynamics of the ecosystem, such as the stability properties of some coexistence equilibria and periodic solutions. Theoretical and numerical methods are used to investigate boundedness of solutions, existence of bionomic equilibria, as well as the existence and stability properties of equilibrium points and periodic solutions. Several bifurcations are also studied.  相似文献

A predator–prey model was extended to include nonlinear harvesting of the predator guided by its population, such that harvesting is only implemented if the predator population exceeds an economic threshold. The proposed model is a nonsmooth dynamic system with switches between the original predator-prey model (free subsystem) and a model with nonlinear harvesting (harvesting subsystem). We initially examine the dynamics of both the free and the harvesting subsystems, and then we investigate the dynamics of the switching system using theories of nonsmooth systems. Theoretical results showed that the harvesting subsystem undergoes multiple bifurcations, including saddle-node, supercritical Hopf, Bogdanov–Takens and homoclinic bifurcations. The switching system not only retains all of the complex dynamics of the harvesting system but also exhibits much richer dynamics such as a sliding equilibrium, sliding cycle, boundary node (saddle point) bifurcation, boundary saddle-node bifurcation and buckling bifurcation. Both theoretical and numerical results showed that, by implementing predator population guided harvesting, the predator and prey population could coexist in more scenarios than those in which the predator may go extinct for the continuous harvesting regime. They could either stabilize at an equilibrium or oscillate periodically depending on the value of the economic threshold and the initial value of the system.  相似文献

The dynamics of a predator-prey system, where prey population has two stages, an immature stage and a mature stage with harvesting, the growth of predator population is of Lotka-Volterra nature, are modelled by a system of retarded functional differential equations. We obtain conditions for global asymptotic stability of three nonnegative equilibria and a threshold of harvesting for the mature prey population. The effect of delay on the population at positive equilibrium and the optimal harvesting of the mature prey population are also considered.  相似文献

In this article, we establish a mathematical model of two species with stage structure and the relation of predator-prey, obtain the necessary and sufficient condition for the permanence of two species and the extinction of one species or two species. We also obtain the optimal harvesting and the threshold of harvesting for the sustainable development and increasing delays can cause a bifurcation into periodic solutions. A diffusive predator-prey system with Holling type-II predator functional response subject to Neumann boundary conditions is considered. Hopf and steady state bifurcation analysis are carried out in details. In particular we show the existence of multiple spatially non-homogeneous periodic orbits while the system parameters are all spatially homogeneous. Our results and global bifurcation theory also suggest the existence of loops of spatially non-homogeneous periodic orbits and steady state solutions. These results provide theoretical evidences to the complex spatiotemporal dynamics found by numerical simulation.  相似文献

In this paper, we analyzed a delayed stage-structured predator-prey model with impulsive stocking on prey and continuous harvesting on predator. Sufficient conditions for the global attractivity of ‘predator-eradication’ periodic solution and permanence of the system are obtained. The results show that the behavior of impulsive stocking on prey plays an important role for the permanence of the system.  相似文献

The predator-prey systems with harvesting have received a great deal of attentions for last few decades. Incorporating discrete time delays into predator-prey models could induce instability and bifurcation. In this paper we are interested in studying the combined effects of harvesting and discrete time delay on the dynamics of a predator-prey model. A comparative analysis is provided for stability behaviour in absence as well as in presence of time delay. The length of discrete time delay to preserve stability of the model system is obtained. Existence of Hopf-bifurcating small amplitude periodic solutions is derived by taking discrete time delay as a bifurcation parameter.  相似文献

In this work, optimal harvesting policy for the predator-prey system of three species with age-dependent and diffusion is discussed. Existence and uniqueness of non-negative solution to the system are investigated by using the fixed point theorem. This paper discuss the cusp bifurcation of codimension 2 (i.e. Bogdanov-Takens bifurcation) in a Leslie~Gower predator-prey model with prey harvesting, which was not revealed by Zhu and Lan [Phase portraits, Hopf bifurcation and limit cycles of Leslie-Gower predator-prey systems with harvesting rates, Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems Series B. 14(1) (2010), 289-306]. 研究了一个捕食者具连续收获与食饵具脉冲存放的阶段结构时滞捕食-食饵模型.根据生物资源管理的实际,改进了捕食者具阶段结构的捕食-食饵模型,即原来假设每个捕食者个体都具有相同的捕食食饵的能力.假设捕食者按年龄分为两个阶段,即幼体和成体,而且幼体无能力捕食食饵.得到了捕食者灭绝周期解全局吸引和系统持久的充分条件.结论说明了脉冲存放食饵对系统的持久起了重要的作用,并且为生物资源管理提供了策略基础.数值分析也进一步说明了系统的动力学性质.  相似文献

The dynamics of a discrete-time predator-prey system is investigated in detail in this paper. It is shown that the system undergoes flip bifurcation and Hopf bifurcation by using center manifold theorem and bifurcation theory. Furthermore, Marotto''s chaos is proved when some certain conditions are satisfied. Numerical simulations are presented not only to illustrate our results with the theoretical analysis, but also to exhibit the complex dynamical behaviors, such as the period-6, 7, 8, 10, 14, 18, 24, 36, 50 orbits, attracting invariant cycles, quasi-periodic orbits, nice chaotic behaviors which appear and disappear suddenly, coexisting chaotic attractors, etc. These results reveal far richer dynamics of the discrete-time predator-prey system. Specifically, we have stabilized the chaotic orbits at an unstable fixed point using the feedback control method.  相似文献

The objective of this paper is to study systematically the dynamical properties of a ratio-dependent predator-prey model with nonzero constant rate predator harvesting. It is shown that the model has at most two equilibria in the first quadrant and can exhibit numerous kinds of bifurcation phenomena, including the bifurcation of cusp type of codimension 2 (i.e., Bogdanov-Takens bifurcation), the subcritical and supercritical Hopf bifurcations. These results reveal far richer dynamics compared to the model with no harvesting and different dynamics compared to the model with nonzero constant rate prey harvesting in [D. Xiao, L. Jennings, Bifurcations of a ratio-dependent predator-prey system with constant rate harvesting, SIAM Appl. Math. 65 (2005) 737-753]. Biologically, it is shown that nonzero constant rate predator harvesting can prevent mutual extinction as a possible outcome of the predator prey interaction, and remove the singularity of the origin, which was regarded as “pathological behavior” for a ratio-dependent predator prey model in [P. Yodzis, Predator-prey theory and management of multispecies fisheries, Ecological Applications 4 (2004) 51-58].  相似文献

This paper is devoted to study a discrete time predator-prey system of Leslie type with generalized Holling type III functional response obtained using the forward Euler scheme. Taking the integration step size as the bifurcation parameter and using the center manifold theory and bifurcation theory, it is shown that by varying the parameter the system undergoes flip bifurcation and Neimark-Sacker bifurcation in the interior of $\mathbb{R}_+^2$. Numerical simulations are implemented not only to illustrate our results with the theoretical analysis, but also to exhibit the complex dynamical behaviors, such as cascade of period-doubling bifurcation in period-$2$, $4$, $8$, quasi-periodic orbits and the chaotic sets. These results shows much richer dynamics of the discrete model compared with the continuous model. The maximum Lyapunov exponent is numerically computed to confirm the complexity of the dynamical behaviors. Moreover, we have stabilized the chaotic orbits at an unstable fixed point using the feedback control method.  相似文献
