提出了一类实轴上的双解析函数Riemann边值逆问题.先消去参变未知函数,再采用易于推广的矩阵形式记法,可把问题转化为两个实轴上的解析函数Riemann边值问题.利用经典的Riemann边值问题理论,讨论了该问题正则型情况的解法,得到了它的可解性定理.  相似文献

We consider the heat problem with nonlocal boundary conditions containing a real parameter. For the zero value of the parameter, this problem is well known as the Samarskii-Ionkin problem and has been comprehensively studied. We analyze the spectral problem for the operator of second derivative subjected to the boundary conditions of the original problem. By separation of variables, we prove the existence and uniqueness of a classical solution for any nonzero value of the parameter. The obtained a priori estimates for a solution imply the stability of the problem with respect to the initial data.  相似文献

We frame a hierarchy of nonlinear boundary value problems which are shown to admit exponentially decaying exact solutions. We are able to convert the question of the existence and uniqueness of a particular solution to this nonlinear boundary value problem into a question of whether a certain polynomial has positive real roots. Furthermore, if such a polynomial has at least two distinct positive roots, then the nonlinear boundary value problem will have multiple solutions. In certain special cases, these boundary value problems arise in the self-similar solutions for the flow of certain fluids over stretching or shrinking sheets; examples given include the flow of first and second grade fluids over such surfaces.  相似文献

We examine well-posedness of the boundary value problem in a half-strip for a first-order linear hyperbolic system with delay (lumped and distributed) in the boundary conditions. In the case of the negative real parts of the eigenvalues of the corresponding spectral problem we prove a time uniform estimate for a solution to the homogeneous problem which enables us to justify the linearization principle for analysis of stability of stationary solutions to the nonlinear problem.  相似文献

In this note we derive a necessary requirement for the self-adjointness of a boundary value problem of ordinary differential equations, which involves only the leading coefficients of the normalized boundary conditions. As application it is shown that every self-adjoint boundary value problem of even order (and thus especially every real self-adjoint boundary value problem) is regular. The proof of this fact depends on the evaluation of a sort of generalized Vandermonde's determinant.  相似文献

We consider a parabolic free boundary problem which has a bifurcation parameter and double interfaces. We investigate the sign change in a real part of eigenvalues and the transversality condition as a bifurcation parameter cross the critical value in order to examine the stability of the stationary solutions. We obtain a criterion in terms of zeros of Jacobi polynomials for the uniqueness of the solution of the first boundary value problem for an ultrahyperbolic equation in a ball. Complex functions, such as the output of computer simulators, can be difficult to optimize. The task becomes even more difficult when only some of the function evaluations return real numbers and others simply fail to return a value. We combine statistical emulation, classification, sequential design, and optimization with an asymmetric entropy measure to solve the thorny problem of finding an optimum along a constraint boundary. This approach is demonstrated on simulated examples and a real problem in groundwater remediation.  相似文献

A free boundary formulation for the numerical solution of boundary value problems on infinite intervals was proposed recently in Fazio (SIAM J. Numer. Anal. 33 (1996) 1473). We consider here a survey on recent developments related to the free boundary identification of the truncated boundary. The goals of this survey are: to recall the reasoning for a free boundary identification of the truncated boundary, to report on a comparison of numerical results obtained for a classical test problem by three approaches available in the literature, and to propose some possible ways to extend the free boundary approach to the numerical solution of problems defined on the whole real line.  相似文献

We study the existence of a generalized solution of an initial–boundary value problem describing the process of unsteady filtration of a liquid in a bounded region of an n-dimensional space. We consider the case in which the Kirchhoff transformation used to determine the generalized solution takes the real axis into a semiaxis bounded below. An auxiliary problem is constructed. It is proved that any solution of the auxiliary problem is a solution of the problem under study. The solvability of the auxiliary problem is established by using the method of semidiscretization in time and the Galerkin method.  相似文献

Some results are presented of the numerical study of periodic solutions of a nonlinear equation with a delayed argument in connection with themathematical models having real biological prototypes. The problem is formulated as a boundary value problem for a delay equation with the conditions of periodicity and transversality. A spline-collocation finite-difference scheme of the boundary value problem using a Hermitian interpolation cubic spline of the class C 1 with fourth order error is proposed. For the numerical study of the system of nonlinear equations of the finitedifference scheme, the parameter continuation method is used, which allows us to identify possible nonuniqueness of the solution of the boundary value problem and, hence, the nonuniqueness of periodic solutions regardless of their stability. By examples it is shown that the periodic oscillations occur for the parameter values specific to the real molecular-genetic systems of higher species, for which the principle of delay is quite easy to implement.  相似文献

We prove unique existence of solution for the impedance (or third) boundary value problem for the Helmholtz equation in a half-plane with arbitrary L boundary data. This problem is of interest as a model of outdoor sound propagation over inhomogeneous flat terrain and as a model of rough surface scattering. To formulate the problem and prove uniqueness of solution we introduce a novel radiation condition, a generalization of that used in plane wave scattering by one-dimensional diffraction gratings. To prove existence of solution and a limiting absorption principle we first reformulate the problem as an equivalent second kind boundary integral equation to which we apply a form of Fredholm alternative, utilizing recent results on the solvability of integral equations on the real line in [5]. © 1997 B. A free boundary value problem is introduced to approximate the original Thomas–Fermi equation. The unknown truncated free boundary is determined iteratively. We transform the free boundary value problem to a nonlinear boundary value problem defined on [0,1]. We present an adaptive algorithm to solve the problem by means of the moving mesh finite element method. Comparison of our numerical results with those obtained by other approaches shows high accuracy of our method.  相似文献

A bifurcation problem for an elliptic multivalued boundary value problem with a real parameter is considered. The existence of global bifurcation between two eigenvalues of a certain type of the Laplacian is proved. For a class of abstract inclusions with compact multivalued mappings in a Hilbert space, it is shown how the degree can be determined near the eigenvalues of a particular type of an associated linear single-valued problem, and the jump of the degree is proved. As a consequence, global bifurcation for such abstract inclusions is obtained. The weak formulation of the boundary value problem mentioned is a particular case.  相似文献

We consider a boundary value problem for the Laplace operator in a model domain periodically perforated along the boundary. We assume that the homogeneous Neumann condition is posed on the exterior boundary and the homogeneous Dirichlet condition is posed on the boundary of the cavities. We discuss the solution of the boundary value problem in a duct with a centered septum [9]. On the lower wall of the duct a Neumann condition is applied while on the upper wall a Dirichlet condition is applied. On the septum we apply a Dirichlet condition on the lower side and a Neumann condition on the upper one. This problem is formulated as a pair of integral equations of the Wiener–Hopf type for which we supply solutions for two modes of excitation as well as real and complex wave number. A critical examination is made of the construction, which reduces the problem to one in complex analysis. For real wave number, the physical parameters are provided in very simple forms.  相似文献
