A simple and sensitive method for the extraction of four phthalate esters including dimethyl phthalate (DMP), diethyl phthalate (DEP), benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP) and di-n-butyl phthalate (DBP) as well as their determination in water samples was developed using homogeneous liquid–liquid extraction (HLLE) and HPLC-UV. The extraction method is based on the phase separation phenomenon by the salt addition to the ternary solvent system. The extraction parameters such as type and volume of extracting and consolute solvent, concentration of salt, pH of sample and extraction time were optimized. Under the optimal conditions (extraction solvent: 100?µL CHCl3; consolute solvent: 2.0?mL methanol; NaCl 15% (w/v) and pH of sample: 6.5) extraction recovery was in the range of 92–102%. Linearity was observed in the range of 0.5–300?µg?L?1 for DEP and 0.6–300?µg?L?1 for DMP, BBP and DBP. Correlation coefficients (r 2), limits of detection (LODs) and relative standard deviations (RSDs) were in the ranges of 0.9976–0.9993, 0.18–0.25 and 1.5–4.8%, respectively. The method was successfully applied for the preconcentration and determination of these phthalate esters in the several environmental water samples.  相似文献

A novel method, continuous-flow microextraction (CFME) combined with liquid chromatography (LC) with variable-wavelength detector (VWD), has been developed for the determination of three phthalate esters (dimethyl phthalate (DMP), diethyl phthalate (DEP), and di-n-butyl phthalate (DnBP)) in water samples. Experimental parameters including extraction solvent, solvent drop volume, flow rate of sample solution, extraction time and ionic strength, which affected the extraction efficiency, were studied and optimized. Under the optimum extraction conditions, the method yields a linear calibration curve in the concentration range of 10–10,000 ng mL?1 for target analytes. The enrichment factors of this method for DMP, DEP and DnBP reached at 27, 44 and 20, respectively, and the detection limits were 2, 1 and 5 ng mL?1, respectively. Good repeatability of extraction was obtained with relative standard deviations below 8.6%. The results demonstrated that CFME followed by LC-VWD is a simple and reliable technique for the determination of phthalate esters in water samples.  相似文献

A simple and rapid efficient method was developed for the determination of phthalate esters using dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction followed by gas chromatography with flame ionization detection. A mixture of isopropanol (0.75 mL, dispersant) and carbon tetrachloride (30 µL, extractant) with sodium chloride (1%, w/v) was used for extraction. Under optimum conditions, the method provided linear calibration curves between 0.5 and 200 µg L?1 for dibutyl phthalate, and 1.0 and 200 µg L?1 for butyl benzyl phthalate, diethyl phthalate, and diisooctyl phthalate. The relative standard deviations for intra-day and inter-day analyses were less than 5.8% and 6.9%, respectively, with enrichment factors between 229 and 424. Two wine samples were analyzed with recoveries between 70.1% and 119.3%.  相似文献

A selective and low organic-solvent-consuming method of sample preparation combined with high-performance liquid chromatography with diode-array detection is introduced for analysis of phthalic acid esters in edible oils. Sample treatment involves initial liquid–liquid partitioning with acetonitrile, then QuEChERS cleanup by dispersive solid-phase extraction with primary secondary amine as sorbent. Preconcentration of the analytes is performed by ionic-liquid-based dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction, with the cleaned-up extract as disperser solvent and 1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate as extraction solvent. Under the optimized conditions, correlation coefficients (r) were 0.998–0.999 and standard errors (S y/x ) were 2.67–3.37?×?103 for calibration curves in the range 50–1000 ng g?1. Detection limits, at a signal-to-noise ratio of 3, ranged from 6 to 9 ng g?1. Intra-day and inter-day repeatability, expressed as relative standard deviation, were in the ranges 1.0–6.9 % and 2.4–9.4 %, respectively. Recovery varied between 84 % and 106 %. The developed method was successfully used for analysis of the analytes in 28 edible oils. The dibutyl phthalate content of four of the 28 samples (14 %) exceeded the specific migration limit established by domestic and international regulations.

A novel silver-coated solid-phase microextraction fiber was prepared based on electroless plating technique. Good extraction performance of the fiber for model compounds including phthalate esters (dibutyl phthalate, dioctyl phthalate, dicyclohexyl phthalate and diallyl phthalate) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (naphthalene, fluorene, phenanthrene, fluoranthene) in aqueous solution was obtained. Under the optimized conditions (extraction temperature, extraction time, ionic strength and desorption temperature), the proposed SPME-GC method showed wide linear ranges with correlation coefficients (R2) ranging from 0.9745 to 0.9984. The limits of detection were at the range of 0.02 to 0.1 μg L−1. Single fiber repeatability and fiber-to-fiber reproducibility as well as stability to acid, alkali and high temperature were studied and the results were all satisfactory. The method was applied successfully to the aqueous extracts of disposable paper cup and instant noodle barrel. Several kinds of analytes were detected and quantified.  相似文献

Due to be able to migrate or leach from food packaging materials into the foods and/or beverages, development of a new, sensitive and selective analytical methods for low levels of antimony as a food contaminant is of great importance in terms of food safety. In this context, an ultrasonic-assisted cloud point extraction method was developed for the preconcentration and determination of antimony as Sb(III) using 4-(2-thiazolylazo)resorcinol (TAR) and 2-(2-thiazolylazo)-p-cresol (TAC) as chelating agents and sodium dodecyl sulfate as signal enhancing agent at pH 6.0 and mediated by nonionic surfactant, t-octylphenoxypolyethoxyethanol by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. Using the optimized conditions, the calibration curves obtained from Sb(III) with TAR and TAC were linear in the concentration ranges of 0.5–180 and 1–180 μg L?1 with detection limits of 0.13 and 0.28 μg L?1, respectively. The precision (as relative standard deviations, RSDs) was lower than 3.9 % (25 and 100 μg L?1, n: 6). The method accuracy was validated by the analysis of two standard reference materials. The results obtained were statistically in a good agreement with the certified values at 95 % confidence limit. The method has successfully been applied to the determination of Sb(III) and total Sb in selected beverages, milk and fruit-flavored milk products before and after pre-reduction of Sb(V) to Sb(III) with a mixture of KI/ascorbic acid in acidic media. The Sb(V) contents of samples were quantitatively calculated from analytical difference between total Sb and Sb(III) levels.  相似文献

A sensitive and specific liquid chromatography–electrospray ionization-tandem mass spectrometry method has been developed and validated for the identification and quantification of ursolic acid in human plasma using glycyrrhetic acid as an internal standard. The method involves extraction with methyl tert-butyl ether. The analyte was separated on a C18 column and analyzed in multiple reaction monitoring mode with a negative electrospray ionization interface using the [M–H]? ions, m/z 455.4 for ursolic acid and m/z 469.5 → m/z 425.5 for glycyrrhetic acid. The method was validated over the concentration range of 0.86–110.0 μg L?1. The intra- and inter-day precisions were less than 13.53% relative standard deviation (RSD) and the accuracy was within ?4.76% in terms of relative error (RE). The lower limit of quantification was 0.86 μg L?1 with acceptable precision and accuracy. There were almost no matrix effects. Recovery of ursolic acid from spiked drug-free plasma was higher than 68%. The method was used to study the pharmacokinetic profile of ursolic acid in human plasma after oral administration of Jieyu capsules.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to introduce a novel hollow fiber stir bar sorptive extraction for collecting and determining of phthalic acid esters in environmental and biological matrices. Shell–core ZrO2/SiO2 composite microspheres and porous C18 silica microspheres were compared as the sorbents, which were loaded in the lumen of a microporous hollow fiber membrane. A thin stainless‐steel wire was also inside of the hollow fiber membrane acting as the magnetic stirrer, thus affording the procedures like stir bar sorptive extraction to perform the active trapping of the analytes. Variables affecting the extraction (salt addition and pH of samples, extraction temperature, and time) and desorption (microwave time and eluted solvents) have been optimized. Under the optimal conditions, good linearity (r > 0.9968) of all calibration curves was obtained in validation experiments. And the limits of quantification ranged from 0.01 to 1000 ng/mL. The recoveries in different matrices were in the range of 64.90–112.60% with relative standard deviations less than 8.60%. The present work demonstrated the applicability of the developed method for the determination of phthalic acid esters in environmental and biological sample, allowing the selective extraction of phthalate esters in complex samples with low consumption of organic solvents and no sample clean‐up.  相似文献

A simple, rapid and efficient ionic liquid based on dispersive liquid-phase microextraction (IL-DLPME) method was developed for the determination of three triazine and two phenylurea herbicides in water samples. IL (1-hexyl-3-methylimidazolium hexafluorophosphate [C6MIM][PF6]) that dispersed completely into the water solution under controlled temperature was used as the extraction solvent. The analytes were easily concentrated into the ionic liquid phase. This technique combined the process of extraction and concentration of the analytes into one step and avoided use of the more common, toxic organic solvents. The factors affecting the extraction efficiency such as the IL volume, sample pH, extraction time, centrifugal time, dissoluble temperature and ionic strength were optimized. The extracts were analyzed by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) coupled with diode array detector (DAD). Under the optimized conditions, recoveries (50.5–109.1%) were obtained for the target analytes in water samples. The calibration curves were linear and the correlation coefficient ranged from 0.9947 to 0.9973 in the concentration levels of 5–100 μg L?1. The relative standard deviations (RSDs, n?=?5) were 6.80–10.78%. The limit of detections (LODs) for the five polar herbicides were between 0.46 μg L?1 and 0.89 μg L?1.  相似文献

A novel and efficient sulfadiazine imprinted polymer was synthesized via co-precipitation method and successfully grafted on magnetic multi-walled carbon nanotubes. The synthesized magnetic imprinted polymer was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray powder diffraction analysis, thermal analysis and applied as a sorbent for selective magnetic solid-phase extraction of sulfadiazine. The retained sulfadiazine was eluted by 150.0 µL methanol/acetic acid (6:4) solution and quantified by fiber optic linear array spectrophotometry via formation of a detectable azo dye. All parameters affecting the extraction of sulfadiazine were investigated and optimized. Under the optimized conditions, the method exhibited a linear dynamic range of 2.0–50.0 µg L?1 with a detection limit of 0.56 µg L?1 and enrichment factor of 300.0. The relative standard deviation at 30.0 µg L?1 of sulfadiazine (N = 6) was 2.8 and 4.6% for intra-day and inter-day, respectively. The method was successfully applied to determine sulfadiazine in human urine, honey, milk and environmental water samples.  相似文献

Nano‐structured self‐doped polythiophene (SPT) electrodeposited in the presence of fluorinated organic acid was applied as a thermally stable conductive polymer‐based solid‐phase microextraction (SPME) fiber candidate. Quantitative determination of trace levels of phthalate esters including dimethyl phthalate (DMP), diethyl phthalate (DEP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and diethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) was carried out using this novel fiber, coupling with gas chromatography‐flame ionization detector (GC‐FID). The SPT coating was proved to be stable at high temperatures (~350°C) with a high extraction capacity and long lifetime (more than 60 times). Improved temperature resistance was obtained by the presence of sulfonated groups in the backbone of polymer. Thermal stability of novel SPT was superior to common polythiophene (synthesized in LiClO4). The extraction procedure was optimized by means of the Taguchi orthogonal array experimental design with an OA16 (45) matrix including extraction temperature, extraction time, salt concentration, stirring rate, and headspace volume. The good linearity was obtained for most compounds with correlation coefficients (R2) of between 0.993 and 0.995. The detection limits were lower than 0.12 ng/mL for dimethyl phthalate, DEP, dibutyl phthalate, and diethylhexyl phthalate. The method was successfully applied to the analysis of water samples with the recoveries from 90±1 to 107±1%.  相似文献

This is the first report on the analytical application of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) as solid-phase extraction (SPE) sorbents for determination in surface waters, at the nanograms per litre level, of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS), the two predominant contaminants among the perfluorinated compounds detected. After the preconcentration step, the quantification was achieved by ultraperformance liquid chromatography–electrospray ionization mass spectrometry. To increase the extraction efficiency towards these amphiphilic compounds, MWCNTs were derivatized with amino-terminated alkyl chains, thus producing a mixed-mode material (MWCNT-R-NH2) combining hydrophobic affinity and anion-exchange properties. Experiments with distilled, tap and river water (pH 3) spiked at different concentrations (10, 15, 30, 100, 200 and 500 ng L-1) provided absolute recoveries in the range 71–102 % (n?=?3, relative standard deviations less than 10 %). Analytes were eluted in a single fraction with 6 mL methanol (3?×?10-4 M NaOH). The within-laboratory reproducibility of the MWCNT-R-NH2 SPE sorbent was evaluated with raw river water, and relative standard deviations less than 15 % were obtained (n?=?4). Preconcentration factors up to 125 (500-mL sample) made it possible to quantify PFOA and PFOS at low nanograms per litre levels in naturally contaminated river water. The method quantification limits of 10 ng L-1 for PFOA and 15 ng L-1 for PFOS were well below the advisory levels for drinking and surface waters. Comparison with non-derivatized MWCNTs highlighted the role of functionalization in improving the adsorption affinity towards these contaminants. MWCNT-R-NH2 maintained their extraction capability for at least eight repeated adsorption/desorption cycles.  相似文献

In this study, a new sample vial has been designed for the extraction and determination of methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) in water samples by headspace solid-phase microextraction method. The special feature of this new vial is cooling the HS above the aqueous sample by cold water stream for maximum analyte absorption on SPME fiber coating. The analysis was by a gas chromatograph equipped with flame ionization detector and a capillary column (CP-sil 13 CB). Some significant variables affecting the extraction procedure were optimized. By use of divinylbenzene/carboxen/polydimethylsiloxane fiber, a sample volume of 10 mL, stirring rate of 1,000 rpm, salt concentration of 24%, extraction time of 15 min and extraction temperature of 83 °C, detection limit of 0.022 μg L?1 and a good linearity (R 2 = 0.998) in a calibration range of 0.1–400 μg L?1 were achieved. The relative standard deviation for triplicate runs ranged between 6 and 8%. The method could be applied to the analysis of trace levels of MTBE in various water samples.  相似文献

A simple, low-cost and sensitive method is demonstrated for derivatization and extraction of iodine from milk samples using hollow fiber liquid-phase microextraction (HF-LPME) and gas chromatography-electron capture detection. Iodide ions are converted to iodine under acidic medium and in the presence of an oxidant. The generated iodine reacted with 3-pentanone in extraction vial to give 2-iodo-3-pentanone and was extracted into 4 μL of 1-octanol located in the lumen of a hollow fiber. Organic solvent was selected using one variable at a time optimization method and the other main factors affecting derivatization and HF-LPME procedures were evaluated using a Taguchi’s L16 (45) orthogonal array. Under optimal conditions, the method showed low limit of detection (0.5 ng mL?1), wide linear range (1–2,000 ng mL?1) with good correlation coefficient (0.9997) and acceptable relative standard deviation (4.6 %, n = 5). Finally, the developed method was successfully applied for determination of iodide in real samples including infant milk formulas and cow milk with reasonable relative recoveries (99.8–110.5 %).  相似文献

Some aroma compounds found in alcoholic beverages are characteristic of a certain beverage (i.e. 2,4-decadienoic acid ethyl ester is characteristic of pear spirit and 5-butyltetrahydro-4-methylfuran-2-on “whiskey lactone” is characteristic of aged spirits like whiskey). These substances were detectable in beverages but not in blood samples. The aim of this investigation was to find a sensitive sampling technique for aroma compounds in whole blood samples. This technique may be used in forensic toxicology for examination of drinking claims. The method comprises dynamic headspace sampling using a purge and trap concentrator, followed by quantitative gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (dynamic HS–GC–MS). The influence of sample preparation, trap adsorbents and sample temperature as well as desorption time and purge time on the quality of the analytical results were investigated. The following optimal parameters were determined: stirred and diluted whole blood sample without salt addition, use of Carbotrap C as trap material, sample temperature at 80 °C, desorption time 20 min and purge time 30 min. These optimal parameters were used for the determination of detection limits (LOD). The LOD of aroma compounds by means of dynamic headspace sampling were compared with the results of conventional sampling: the static headspace technique. Limits of detection for the aroma compounds with conventional static headspace GC are in the range 400–10,000 μg L−1. Dynamic headspace–GC was found to be a more sensitive sampling technique for most of the aroma compounds investigated (e.g. C4–C8 ethyl esters, benzoic acid ethyl ester, linalool oxide and 4-ethylguaiacol) with detection limits between 1 and 50 μg L−1, but there were also limits to the sampling of substances with lower volatility like decanoic acid ethyl ester, 2,4-decadienoic acid ethyl ester, eugenol and whiskey lactone with detection limits of about 1,000 μg L−1.

Liquid chromatography–electrospray ionization mass spectrometry has been used for rapid, selective, and sensitive quantitative analysis of mitiglinide in human plasma. Sample pretreatment involved solid-phase extraction from plasma with gliclazide as internal standard. Separation was performed on a C18 column (150 × 2.0 mm) with 71:29 (v/v) acetonitrile–water (containing 0.1% formic acid and 0.2 mmol L?1 ammonium acetate) as mobile phase at a flow rate of 0.2 mL min?1. The method was validated then successfully applied to a clinical bioequivalence study of mitiglinide in 20 healthy volunteers after oral administration.  相似文献

In this work, surfactant-coated Fe3O4@decanoic acid nanoparticles was synthesized as a viable nanosorbent for coextraction of drugs with different polarities (hydrophobic, hydrophilic). To reach desirable enrichment factors, efficient clean-up and low limits of detection (LODs), the method was combined with dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction (DLLME). The coupling of these extraction methods with GC-FID detection was applied to simultaneous extraction and quantification of venlafaxine (VLF) as a hydrophilic model drug and desipramine (DESI) and clomipramine (CLO) as hydrophobic model drugs in urine samples. The effect of sample pH, nanosorbent amount, sorption time, surfactant concentration, eluent type, eluent volume, salt content, elution time in magnetic solid phase extraction step and extraction solvent and its volume along with sample pH in DLLME step were optimized. Under the selected conditions, linearity was achieved within the range of 5–5000 µg L?1. The LOD values were obtained in the range of 1.5–3.0 µg L?1 for DESI, 1.2–2.5 µg L?1 for VLF and 2.0–4.0 µg L?1 for CLO, respectively. The percent of extraction recoveries and relative standard deviations (n?=?5) were in the range of 82.4–95.9 and 6.1 for DESI, 60.5–92.8 and 6.9 for VLF and 57.2–58.0 and 5.5 for CLO, respectively. Ultimately, the applicability of the new method was successfully confirmed by the extraction and quantification of DESI, VLF and CLO from human urine samples.  相似文献

A sensitive and simple method based on two-phase liquid-phase microextraction in porous hollow fiber followed by gas chromatography-flame ionization detection was developed for quantification and pharmacokinetic study of valproic acid (VPA, an antiepileptic drug) in rat plasma after oral administration of pure sodium valproate (25 mg kg?1). Some parameters such as type of organic solvent, pH of sample solution, stirring speed, salt addition, extraction time, and volume of sample that affected extraction efficiency of VPA were optimized. Under optimized microextraction conditions, VPA was extracted with 10 μL 1-octanol from 0.5 mL rat plasma previously diluted with 4.5 mL acidified and salinated water (pH 2) using 1-octanoic acid as internal standard. The limit of detection was 17 ng mL?1 with linear response over the concentration range of 50–10,000 ng mL?1 with correlation coefficient higher than 0.998. The developed method was successfully applied to determination of pharmacokinetic parameters such as t max (peak time in concentration–time profile), C max (peak concentration in concentration–time profile), t 1/2 (elimination half-life), AUC0–t (area under the curve for concentration versus time), clearance, and apparent distribution volume in rats following oral administration of VPA.  相似文献

Formaldehyde is known as a highly toxic compound to humans and identified as a carcinogenic substance. In this study, Hantzsch reaction was utilized for the derivatization of trace amounts of formaldehyde in aqueous samples with acetylacetone in the presence of ammonia to form an extractable colored product named 3,5-diacetyl 1,4-dihydrolutidine (DDL) and its further extraction using two-phase hollow fiber liquid-phase microextraction. The main experimental variables affecting the extraction performance were investigated and optimized. Under the optimum conditions (sample volume 12 mL; reaction temperature 70 °C; ammonium acetate buffer solution 4 mL 0.1 mol L?1; acetylacetone 5 mL 0.15 mol L?1; solvent octanol, salt concentration 20% (w/v) NaCl; pH of donor phase 7.0; stirring speed 400 rpm and extraction time 30 min), the linear dynamic range, limit of detection (LOD as 3S b/m) and relative standard deviation (RSD %) of the proposed method were obtained as 5–250 μg L?1 (r 2 = 0.9979), 3.6 μg L?1 and 2.5%, respectively. Finally, the applicability of the proposed method was examined, and very good results were obtained. The results confirmed the applicability of the proposed method as a versatile, low-cost and sensitive preconcentration method for determination of low concentrations of formaldehyde in aqueous solutions.  相似文献
