Untersuchungen über ein „Kriterium für die Aromatizität”: Die Konzentrationsabhängigkeit der molaren magnetischen Drehung

Zusammenfassung Es wurde der Versuch unternommen, ein für die Aromatizität angegebenes Kriterium (4.Labarresches Kriterium), nämlich den Verlauf der Konzentrationsabhängigkeit der molaren magnetischen Drehung, auf Metallocene anzuwenden. Die dabei und bei anderen aromatischen Systemen erhaltenen Ergebnisse führen zu dem Schluß, daß diese Konzentrations-abhängigkeit nicht auf diamagnetische Effekte eines induzierten Ringstromes zurückzuführen ist, sondern von der konzentrationsbedingten Änderung des inneren Feldes herrührt. Sie spiegelt also nicht die Aromatizität eines Systems wider.

Investigations on a Criterion of aromaticity: The concentration dependence of the molar magnetic rotation

It was attempted to determine the relative aromaticities of metallocenes by means of a recently stated criterion (Labarre's 4th criterion), which is based on the concentration dependence of the molar magnetic rotation. The results of the investigation of these and other aromatic systems lead to the conclusion that this concentration dependence does not correlate with diamagnetic effects of an induced ring current; it rather is associated with the concentration dependent change of the internal field of the solute. Consequently, it does not reflect the aromaticity of a system.

2,2′-Diphenyl-Δ3,3′-bi-3H-indole-1,1′-dioxide: Molecular interactions and crystal structure

The Dinitrone 2,2-diphenyl-^3,3-bi-3H-indole-1,1-dioxide acts as a demethylating and dehydrogenating agent. The mechanism of interaction of the dinitrone with donors and acceptors does not involve intermediate charge-transfer complexes probably due to a self association between dinitrone molecules (as supported by X-ray determinations). The crystal structure of the dinitrone was obtained by direct methods;a=9.967 (2),b=19.817 (3),c=10.875 (2) Å, =111.2 (2)°, space group P2₁/n. The finalR andR _w were 0.089 and 0.063 for all measured reflexes.

Zusammenfassung Das Dinitron 2,2-Diphenyl-^3,3-bi-3H-indol-1,1-dioxid wirkt als Demethylierungs- und Oxydationsmittel. Die Wechselwirkung des Dinitrons mit Elektronen-Acceptoren und Elektronen-Donatoren geht wegen der Selbstassoziation zwischen den Dinitron-Molekülen ohne die dazwischenliegende Bildung eines Charge-Transfer-Komplexes vor sich; das wird auch von Röntgenstrukturuntersuchungen gestützt. Die Kristallstruktur wurde mit direkten Methoden ermittelt:a=9.967 (2),b=19.817 (3),c=10.875 (2) Å; =111.2 (2)°. P2₁/n. Die endgültigen WerteR undR _w waren 0.089 und 0.063 für alle gemessenen Reflexe.

     

Enumeration of Kekulé structures for some coronoid hydrocarbons: “Waffles”

Summary Primitive coronoids of hexagonal symmetry (D _6h orC _6h ) are referred to as waffles. Some theorems about unbranched catacondensed benzenoids are presented and used to derive a general combinatorial formula for the number of Kekulé structures (K) for waffles. The symmetry-adapted method of fragmentation is employed. SeveralK formulas for special classes of waffles are also reported.

Die Anzahl von Kekulé-Strukturen für einige aromatische Coronoid-Kohlenwasserstoffe: Waffel-Strukturen

Zusammenfassung Einfache Coronoide von hexagonaler Symmetrie (D _6h oderC ₆ h) werden als Waffel bezeichnet. Einige Theoreme bezüglich unverzweigter catakondensierter Benzenoide werden angegeben und zur Ableitung einer generellen Formel für die Anzahl von Kekulé-Strukturen (K) für Waffel benutzt. Es wird die symmetrie-adaptierte Methode zur Fragmentierung angewendet. Außerdem werden einigeK-Formeln für spezielle Klassen von Waffeln angegeben.

     

Cycloaddition reactions of 5-deutero-1-phenyl-4-vinylpyrazole. Stereoselectivecis “ene” reaction and simplification of NMR spectra of mixtures of cycloadducts

Summary The reaction of methyl propiolate (MP) with 1-phenyl-4-vinylpyrazole deuterated in the five position has clarified the¹H NMR spectrum of the mixture of the adducts 1:2 which are obtained as a result of a Diels-Alder cycloaddition followed by a non-regioselective ene reaction. The deuterated substrate allowed at the same time to establish the stereochemistry of the ene reaction as a concertedcis process.

Cycloadditionsreaktionen von 5-Deutero-1-phenyl-4-vinylpyrazol. Stereoselektivecis-en-Reaktion und Vereinfachung von NMR-Spektren von Mischungen der Cycloaddukte (Kurze Mitt.)

Zusammenfassung Die Reaktion von Methylpropiolat (MP) mit an der 5-Stellung deuteriertem 1-Phenyl-4-vinylpyrazol wurde zur vereinfachten Interpretation der¹H-NMR-Spektren einer 1:2 Mischung von Addukten aus der Diels-Alder-Cycloaddition mit nachfolgender nicht-regioselektiver en-Reaktion eingesetzt. Das deuterierte Substrat erlaubte zugleich auch die Bestimmung der Stereochemie der en-Reaktion als einen konzertiertencis-Prozeß.

     

Phthalocyaninartige Bor-Komplexe

Zusammenfassung Aus Halogenboranen und Organohalogenboranen (RBX ₂R=C₆H₅, Cl, Br;X=F, Cl, Br) sowie aus Organoboranen oder Thioboranen entstehen mit Phthalodinitril Triisoindolo-[1,2,3-cd1,2,3-gh1,2,3-kl][2,3a,5,6a,8,9a,9b]-hexaazaboraphenalene von denen die B–Cl- und B–F-Verbindungen näher charakterisiert werden.Dekaboran(14), Diboran(6) oder Boranaddukte von Stickstoffbasen liefern hingegen mit Phthalodinitril metallfreies Phthalocyanin.

Triisoindolo[1,2,3-cd1,2,3-gh1,2,3-kl][2,3a,5,6a,8,9a,9b]-hexa-azaboraphenalene

Triisoindolo[1,2,3-cd1,2,3-gh1,2,3-kl][2,3a,5,6a,8, 9a,9b]-hexaazaboraphenalenes are obtained from the reactions of haloboranes and organohaloboranes (RBX ₂R=C₆H₅, Cl, Br;X=F, Cl, Br) as well as from organoboranes or thioboranes with phthalodinitrile. The B–Cl and B–F compound have been characterized by analyses, i.r.-, u.v.- and mass-spectrometry.Diborane(6), dekaborane(14) and amine-boranes, however, upon reaction with phthalodinitrile lead to high yields of metal free phthalocyanine.
