Free electron laser (FEL) and self-amplified spontaneous emission (SASE) are being developed in the far-infrared region using the L-band electron linac at the Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research (ISIR), Osaka University. The L-band linac was recently remodeled extensively not only for higher operational stability and reproducibility but also for high power operation of FEL. After commissioning of the linac, we first began SASE experiment with a newly-developed strong-focusing wiggler. Recently we began FEL experiment and obtained lasing with the high peak power at 70 μm again after a long break.  相似文献

 模拟了边耦合输出用于FIR FEL 的可实用性,证明这种输出方式适合于远红外FEL。分析且模拟了光腔各种输出参数(如输出功率、腔增益、耦合效率等)随输出镜尺寸及位置的变化规律,找出了最佳的输出镜尺寸及位置。并对谐振腔有漂移管和无漂移管两种情况进行了比较。通过移动或者更换输出镜(输出反射镜),改变输出镜尺寸和位置,可以灵活地选择和调节光腔的Q值。能适应实验不同阶段的需要:例如在实验初期可以提高Q值,增大净增益;而在做饱和实验时可以增大输出,使输出功率最大。  相似文献

The amplitudes and the phases of the elements of electric cross-spectral density matrix are determined experimentally for a pair of points in the cross-section of an expanded laser beam. A modified version of the Young’s interferometer is used as an experimental tool, which separates the beams emerging from the double-slit widely and provides ease in insertion of polarizers and half wave rotators in individual beams. To determine these complex elements of the cross-spectral density matrix, the experimentally obtained values of the spectral densities at an off-axis point are put in the mathematical expressions derived by us using the spectral interference law. The four complex generalized Stokes parameters are also determined using the linear combinations of the matrix elements. This unique but simple experimental approach for determining both the two-point parameters might provide a means to investigate the polarization and the coherence properties of the random electromagnetic beams on propagation.  相似文献

射流是激光惯性约束聚变(ICF)、天体物理学等领域中一种普遍存在的非线性现象.在实验室对射流现象进行模拟、诊断等方面的研究对于理解ICF、天体物理中的相关现象具有重要参考价值.采用纳秒激光辐照特殊形状的圆孔靶产生等离子体射流,利用波长为13.9nm的X射线激光作为光源对特定时刻的射流进行阴影成像,获得了清晰的射流阴影图像,与理论模拟结果定性一致. 关键词: 射流 X射线激光 等离子体诊断  相似文献

高能密度物理研究中涉及许多单次皮秒现象的诊断测量, 然而对单次X-ray脉冲形状、X-ray与激光脉冲的皮秒精度同步依然是极具挑战的课题. 传统行波选通分幅相机受电子渡越时间限制, 难以突破40 ps时间分辨极限. 本文围绕半导体中光学探针光的全光调制效应, 提出一种以低温GaAs材料为基础, 实现皮秒时间分辨X-ray探测的新方法, 详细阐述了该探测器的工作机理、器件参数设计和时间分辨能力. 通过飞秒激光打靶实验, 验证了其概念设计的正确性. 结果表明该探测器具有约1.5 ps时间响应和10 ps时间分辨能力, 通过材料优化可将时间分辨提升 至1 ps以内.  相似文献

通过对条纹相机光阴极在光电转换过程中光电子产生过程的分析,推导了光阴极在软X射线波段的能谱响应灵敏度计算公式,并运用该公式探讨了阴极厚度、掠入射角度等参数对能谱响应灵敏度的影响,计算并分析了Au,CsI在0.1~10keV范围内的能谱响应曲线和特性,并利用标定试验数据对共识和模型的可靠性进行了验证。结果表明,CsI阴极的最佳厚度在60nm左右,Au阴极的最佳厚度在10nm左右;CsI阴极的能谱响应灵敏度比Au阴极高1~2量级。  相似文献

X射线菲涅耳波带板成像能实现亚微米空间分辨能力,有可能应用于激光等离子体或聚变靶的高分辨X射线成像诊断.之前的数值模拟研究表明,成像分辨能力受光源尺寸、入射光或成像光谱带宽的影响.本文报道在632.8 nm为中心波长的可见光波段,对波带板成像的数值模拟和原理性验证实验.数值模拟表明:随着扩展光源尺寸增加,视场中央分辨能力基本不变,而像对比度下降;随着成像的光谱带宽的增加,视场中央分辨能力与像对比度同时下降.实验证实了数值模拟的结论,且实验与数值模拟结果的定量比较也符合得较好.  相似文献

In this work, X-ray and optical studies have been carried out on a four-component isothiocyanato liquid crystal mixture with laterally substituted fluorine atoms. Molecular characteristics, such as effective inter molecular distances and apparent molecular length of the average-simulated molecule have been determined from X-ray studies at various temperatures in the liquid crystalline phase. From the nature of molecular alignment as envisaged from X-ray photographs, the orientational order parameter and its variation with temperature have been determined. Optical studies have also been conducted at various temperatures to investigate the thermal variations of birefringence. Macroscopic orientational order parameter and its thermal variation have been determined from these studies. The nature of order parameter variation obtained from the two studies, X-ray and optical have been compared.  相似文献

汤姆逊散射X射线源利用高亮度的相对论电子束与超短TW级激光相互作用,能产生能量可调、脉冲长度短(~100飞秒量级)的准单色高能X射线,在超快物理过程研究和医学领域具有广泛的应用前景。清华大学工程物理系加速器实验室正在积极筹建基于光阴极微波电子枪和飞秒强激光的汤姆逊散射实验平台,并利用实验室现有的16MeV返波行波加速器和Nd:YAG纳秒调Q激光系统进行了初步实验研究。在解决实验中出现的电磁干扰和韧致辐射X射线本底干扰等问题后,在实验中测量到了脉宽为6纳秒、脉冲光子产额为1.7x 10^4 的散射光子信号。在本文中将对实验装置和结果进行详细介绍。  相似文献

The implementation of wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) in communication access networks is dependent upon the availability of low cost optical sources. One possible alternative to lasers is to employ slices of a broadband optical source obtained via optical filters, which may be tuneable. This paper considers the behaviour of such a spectrally sliced optical transmission system as a function of the bandwidth of a realistic receiver electrical filter for the first time. The treatment includes distortion from optical fibre dispersion over several kilometres of fibre. The optimum ratio between the electrical bandwidth and the optical bit rate is found to be ~0.6 for a fifth-order Bessel filter  相似文献

Dynamics of an electron beam in a helical coaxial wiggler is studied. It is observed that the electrons perform betatron oscillation in a potential well that reflects the effective radiation pressure of the wiggler field and a centrifugal force due to an average azimuthal drift.  相似文献
