We study the interaction between two B = 1 states in a chiral soliton model where baryons are described as non-topological solitons. By using the hedgehog solution for the B = 1 states we construct three possible B = 2 configurations to analyze the role of the relative orientation of the hedgehog quills in the dynamics. The strong dependence of the intersoliton interaction on these relative orientations reveals that studies of dense hadronic matter using this model should take into account their implications.  相似文献

Chiral symmetry phase transition is studied by making use of the finite temperature Green's function and the path integral approach in the chiral soliton model. The temperature-dependent effective potential is obtained in the one-loop approximation, including quark and σ-, π-meson loop. The critical temperature-versus the nuclear density is calculated. At zero baryop density the critical temperature is 172 MeV. In nuclear medium it is found that the critical temperature decreases fast when the nuclear density is increasing.  相似文献

The Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model as a particular model of quark flavour dynamics is bosonized in the low-energy regime using a generalized heat kernel expansion with local mass scale. The resulting effective meson Lagrangian defines a chiral soliton model, the solutions of which show a partial restoration of chiral symmetry inside the soliton.  相似文献

The solution of the chiral soliton with influence on the sea quark is studied in the one-loop approximation. The coupled equations of the motion for the quark and the chiral field are solved numerically by the self-consistent iterative method. The exact quark density of a hedgehog baryon is compared with the results of two kinda of approximations for the chiral angle. It is found that the influence of the chiral soliton on the sea quark can not be ignored.in the calculation of the energy structure or the distribution of the quark density of a baryon.  相似文献

We present a recent investigation on properties of nuclear matter within a chrial soliton approach which includes the explicit scalar dilaton-quarkonium meson saturating the quark loop contribution to the scale anomaly of QCD. We discuss the binding energy per nucleon, the compressibility of nuclear matter and the behavior of meson–nucleon coupling constants according to the density variations in the system.  相似文献

A quark model for baryon production at low pT is obtained as generalization of the quark-antiquark fusion model. The quark transverse momenta are taken into account using an average transverse mass of the quarks. This leads to the incorporation of both quark fusion and quark recombination into one model. The model is able to describe qualitative features of the reactions pp → (Δ, ¯Δ, ∑+, ∑?) + X at 12 and 24 GeV/c.  相似文献

The tetraneutron state is studied in the framework of the chiral quark model with tetrahedron configuration. The universal attraction property of σ-meson exchange leads to a strong attraction in the effective potential of the system. It is possible to form a bound state. For comparison, the naive quark model is also employed to carry out the calculation. A weak attraction, which is too weak to bind the system, is obtained.  相似文献

Relativistically the corrected transition potential of quark to quark-quark-antiquark is derived. With the input of the quark wave function and the quark-gluon coupling constant determined in a chird quark soliton model, this transition potential is used to obtain the deuteron binding energy in the resonating group method.  相似文献

A quark meson coupling model based on SU(3)L×SU(3)R symmetry and scale invariance is proposed. The quarks and mesons get masses through symmetry broken. We apply this SU(3) chiral constituent quark model to investigating the nuclear matter at finite temperature and density. The effective baryon masses, compression modulus and hyperon potentials are all reasonable. The critical temperature of liquid-gas phase transition is also calculated in this model.  相似文献

In the present talk, we report a recent investigation on the nucleon form factors of the energy-momentum tensor in nuclear matter, based on the in-medium modified chiral soliton model. The results in free space are in agreement with those from other approaches. We have discussed the changes of the energy-momentum tensor form factors in nuclear matter and the modification of the soliton structure due to the surrounding nuclear environment.  相似文献

A nonlinear chiral quark model with topological ghost terms is proposed. The couplings among the light-flavor quarks, the Goldstone boson nonet and the topological ghost field are consistently incorporated in the model. We reconsider the Constituent Chiral Quark Model of Manohar and Georgi in the presence of SUL(3)×SUR(3) external sources. As recently emphasized by Weinberg, the corresponding effective Lagrangian is renormalizable in the large-Nc limit. We show, however, that the number of the required counterterms depends crucially on the value of gA and it is minimized for gA=1. We then find that with a rather small value for the constituent quark mass, which we fix phenomenologically to MQ=(190±40) MeV, the model reproduces rather well the values of several well-known low-energy constants. We also comment on the limitations of the model as well as on a few exceptional applications, to more complicated low-energy observables, where one can expect the model to make reasonably good predictions.  相似文献

We report on a recent study of the ground-state octet baryon masses using the covariant baryon chiral perturbation theory with the extended-on-mass-shell renormalization scheme up to next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order. By adjusting the available 19 low-energy constants, a good fit of the n f  = 2 + 1 lattice quantum chromodynamics results from the PACS-CS, LHPC, HSC, QCDSF-UKQCD and NPLQCD collaborations is achieved.  相似文献

Baryon magnetic moments of p, n, ∑^+,∑^-,Ξ^0, Ξ^- and the beta decay ratios (G A/Gv ) of n → p, ∑^-→n and Ξ^0→∑^+ are calculated in a colored quark cluster model. With SU(3) breaking, the model gives a good fit to the experimental values of those baryon magnetic moments and the beta decay ratios. Our results show that the orbital motion has a significant contribution to the spin and magnetic moments of those baryons and the strange component in nucleon is small.  相似文献
