BaF2(La) crystal has been grown with 1% mole of BaF3 doped in BaF2 and the scintillation properties of the new crystal have been investigated before and after a γ irradiation of 60Co source.The radiation resistance of the domestic crystal can be up to a dose of 106 rad.Comparing with a pure BaF2 scintillator,it was found that the fast component of the BaF2(La) scintillator was almost no change but its slow component was suppressed to a factor of 4.  相似文献

We studied the properties of a UV light sensitive low-pressure multistep avalanche chamber containing pure TMAE vapour.The gain of two chambers with different constructure at various temperatures is measured.With pure TMAE vapour at 40°C the gain of one chamber was 4×105,the time resolution was 4.1ns.Coupling the chamber with a 2×2×2.4cm3 BaF2 scintillator we successfully observed the signal of 137Cs γ-ray of 0.661MeV.  相似文献

The spectra and decay times of a serious of Ce+3—doped BaF2 crystals have been determined.The results demonstrate that a BaF2 crystal with a proper amount of Ce+3 doped have some outstanding advantages:a near-blue fluorescence with quite fast decay time (80ns) replaces the slow component (600ns) and vary fast one (~0.8ns) of undoped BaF2.The intensity of the new component is comparable with the sum of the old ones.  相似文献

Irradiation effecs, mainly including transformation from crystalline into amorphous state, of C60, films induced by 120keV H, Ar and Fe ions irradiation were analysed by means of Raman scattering technique. The results indicate that amorphization process in the cases of Ar and Fe ions irradiation is dominated by nuclear collision, but in the case of H ion irradiation, the process is dominated by electronic energy transfer. The annealing effect of electronic energy loss which induced the intermediate graphitization process before amorphization in lower irradiation dose ranging from 2×1014 ions/cm2 to 5×1016 ions/cm2 was found in the case of H ion irradiation for the first bine.  相似文献

A search for the neutrinoless double beta decay of 48Ca is carried out in a coal mine which is located 512m underground near Beijing.Large scintillation crystals of natural CaF2 were used as both the detector and the double beta decay source.Result obtained after a total of 7588.5 hours of data taking gives 1.1×1022 years (68%C.L.) as the lower limit of the half-life of the neutrinoless double beta decay of 68Ca.  相似文献

Ablation thresholds and damage behavior of cleaved and polished surfaces of CaF2, BaF2, LiF and MgF2 subjected to single-shot irradiation with 248 nm/14 ns laser pulses have been investigated using the photoacoustic mirage technique and scanning electron microscopy. For CaF2, standard polishing yields an ablation threshold of typically 20 J/cm2. When the surface is polished chemo-mechanically, the threshold can be raised to 43 J/cm2, while polishing by diamond turning leads to intermediate values around 30 J/cm2. Cleaved surfaces possess no well-defined damage threshold. When comparing different fluoride surfaces prepared by diamond turning it is found that the damage resistivity roughly scales with the band gap. We find an ablation threshold of 40 J/cm2 for diamond turned LiF while the MgF2 surface can withstand a fluence of more than 60 J/cm2 without damage. The damage topography of conventionally polished surfaces shows flaky ablation across the laser-heated area with cracks along the cleavage planes. No ablation is observed in the case of chemo- mechanical polishing; only a few cracks appear. Diamond turned surfaces show small optical absorption but mostly cracks and ablation of flakes and, in some cases, severe damage in the form of craters larger than the irradiated area. The origin of such different damage behavior is discussed.  相似文献

In the present work the photoluminescence (PL)character of sapphire implanted with He ions and subsequently irradiated with 208Pb27+ of 1.1MeV/u was studied. Sapphire single crystals were implanted with 110keV He ions at 600K temperature to fluences ranging from (0.5 to 2)×1017 ions/cm2, some of them were subsequently irradiated with 208 Pb27+.From experimental results we found PL spectra peaks at 375nm, 413nm, and 450nm, and it's intensity gets maximum at fluence of 5×1016 He ions/cm2. Also we found a new peak at 390nm after subsequent 208 Pb27+ irradiation, which is possibly due to the crystallized sediment containing nano crystal Al2O3 appeared on the sample surface.  相似文献

A new form solid Carbon has been synthesized consisting of a hexagonal close packing of a26 molecules under energetic C26 ion 2.4 MeV bombardment of ultra high molecular weight polyethylene. The beam current was about 150 mA and the total dose was 1×1016 ions cm-2. The residual gas pressure in the irradiation chamber was 1.3×10-4Pa during bombardment High-resolu-tion transmission electron microscopy, electron diffraction, and time-of-flight mass spectroscopy studies of the molecular packing confirm that the C26 molecules have the Caged fullerene structure.  相似文献

230Pa was produced with the reaction 232TH (p, 3n)230Pa in the irradiation powder targets of ThO2 with 35 MeV Proton beam. Sources of 230Pa -230U were prepared by radiochemical method. Using solid-state track registration detectors, two events of 230U decay with heavy cluster emission have been observed. The preliminary branching ratio to decay comes out to be B=λNeα=(1.3±1.8)×10-14.  相似文献

The luminescence and point defects of pure lead tungstate crystals (PbWO4) and Bismuth (Bi) doping crystal (PbWO4:Bi)grown by modified Bridgman method are studied. It is found that irradiation results in the great change of the transmission and X-ray excited emission after γ-ray irradiation about 4 Mrad dose. The defects in PbWO4 crystal have been studied by means of positron annihilation lifetime and X-ray photoelectron spectra. The results show that Bi dopant suppresses the concentrations of positron capture centers and low-valent oxygen ions.After γ-ray irradiation,in the pure crystal the concentration of lead vacancy (VPb) is decreased and that of low-valent oxygen increased; on the contrary,in Bi dopant crystal the concentrations of positron capture centers increased and that of low-valent oxygen ions suppressed. It is tentatively proposed that Bi3+ dopants would mainly occupy the sites of lead vacancies resulted from Pb volatilization. And irradiation changes the chemical valence of Bi element,which is Bi3+→Bi5+.The Bi5+ will replace the lattice W6+ ions and it will cause some (WO4)2- replaced by (BiO3+VO).  相似文献

The lg Ne-Nμ relationship has been studied from 4.4×104 events (total observation time is 2.9×106s)collected from Mt. Liang Wang Array (24.5°N, 102.9°E, 2720m above sea level). In order to study the mass composition at the knee, Monte-Carlo simulations for the EAS development and detection under same event selection criteria as used in the experimental data have been performed. The result shows that the mass composition of primary cosmic rays has no obvious change and the dominant component is light nuclei around the knee.  相似文献

We investigate the influence of gamma-ray irradiation on the absorption and fluorescent spectra of Nd^3+:Y3A15 O12 (Nd: YAG) and Yb^3+ : Y3A15 O12 (Yb: YAG) crystals grown by the Czochralski method. Two additional absorption (AA) bands induced by gamma-ray irradiation appear at 255nm and 340nm. The former is contributed due to Fe^3+ impurity, the latter is due to Fe^2+ ions and F-type colour centres. The intensity of the excitation and emission spectra as well as the fluorescent lifetime of Nd:YAG crystal decrease after the irradiation of 100 Mrad gamma-ray. In contrast, the same dose irradiation does not impair the fluorescent properties of Yb:YAG crystal. These results indicate that Yb: YA G crystal possesses the advantage over Nd: YA G crystal that has better reliability for applications in harsh radiant environment.  相似文献

A systematic study of radiation backgrounds in the interaction region at the Beijing e+e Collider BEPC is carried out for the first time to the needs of particle physics experiment.An effective method to study dynamically the radiation environment of the collider is successfully developed which allows the measurement of the instantaneous radiation dose rate and is distribution for different beam conditions and as a function of time during a quiet luminosity run.The radiation sensitivity of domestic BGO and BaF2 crystals in the BEPC environment is examined.  相似文献

The presented paper on CsI(Na) scintillators is a continuation of systematical studies of alkali halide crystals exhibiting more than one exponential decay time. The CsI(Na) crystals are known to have short (~550 ns) and long (few microseconds) components in the scintillation pulse. Previous studies showed that integration of slow components of the light pulse improved the light output, non-proportionality and energy resolution of CsI(Tl), NaI(Tl) in lower temperatures and undoped NaI crystal at liquid nitrogen temperature. In this work, an influence of the shaping time in the spectroscopy amplifier on the light output, non-proportional response to γ-rays, and energy resolution of two different size CsI(Na) scintillators is examined. Each crystal was coupled to the Photonis XP5212 PMT with a photocathode blue sensitivity of 12.2 μA/l mF. The data analysis showed improved proportionality of the crystal response, higher number of photoelectrons/MeV-γ, and consequently, a better overall energy resolution obtained for 12 μs shaping time constant. Finally, the CsI(Na) characteristics are compared to that obtained previously for NaI(Tl).  相似文献

为了进一步扩充光纤的通信容量,采用了一种利用体全息技术制作波分复用器件的新方法,使其对多波长光能够有效分离,并且对其一些特性进行了研究。在(10×10×10)mm3的双掺杂铌酸锂(掺Fe,Zn)晶体中写入多重体全息光栅,使其对相同方向入射的多波长光进行有效的分离,并且通过理论和实验相结合的方法,对在双掺杂铌酸锂晶体中的波分解复用的一些特性进行研究。实验结果很好地证明了上述方法的可行性,实现了多通道波长解复用,并且得到其一些优点。  相似文献

1H NMR,13C NMR谱,二维谱,FT-IR等方法研究了氯化聚乙烯(CPE)在室温下限量空气中经60Co γ射线辐照后的辐照效应. 结果表明CPE在辐照过程中以发生裂解反应为主,在裂解反应过程中伴随着HCl脱出,HCl的脱出量随着辐照剂量的增加而增加. 辐照后CPE样品的大分子结构发生相应变化,序列结构为CH2CHClCHClCH2CHCl,CH2CH2CHClCH2CH2,CHClCH2CHClCH2CH2,CHClCH2CHClCH2CHCl的单元数量减少,但没有形成新的序列结构类型,T1 和T2值给出了有关辐照前后分子运动变化的信息.  相似文献

The results of the study of optical and luminescence characteristics of new LFS-3 heavy scintillation crystals are presented. Advantages of these crystals in comparison with conventional scintillators are discussed. The radiation resistance of LFS-3 scintillation crystals is studied using an intense 60Co radioactive source and a proton beam with an energy of 155 MeV. No changes in the optical transmission of LFS-3 crystals after their irradiation with a dose of 23 Mrad are detected.  相似文献
