Fermilab data for the angular distribution measurements of the reaction –p 0n are investigated and it is shown that a good fit with experiment is obtained by using a simple Regge pole model with phenomenological residue functions. We have investigated the properties of off-shell \(\bar K\) K and \(\bar p\) p annihilations into pions by using the interactionsK ? p → Λ + pions at 4.2 GeV/c. The properties considered are multiplicities, hadronic temperatures and angular distributions. These properties appear more akin to those of \(\bar p\) p annihilations in flight than to that of \(\bar p\) p annihilation at rest despite the fact that the annihilation energy is small. 相似文献

The reactions π+ p→π+(K + K ? π+ π? p andpp→p(K + K ? π+ π?)p where the (K + K ? π+ π?) system is centrally produced have been studied at 85 GeV/c. 48% of the final state proceeds through single or double vector meson resonant production i.e.,K *0(890) (37%), ? (4%),ρ 0 (7%). Evidence is found for associatedK *0 (890) \(\bar K\) *o (890) production (6.4±1.1%) with a cross section ten times higher than that found for associated ? ? production in the same experiment. 相似文献

Results from a high statistics study of the reaction K−p→K−π+n are presented. These results are based on data obtained with an 11 GeV/c beam using the LASS spectrometer at SLAC. The mass dependence of the spherical harmonic moments provides clear evidence for the production of the complete leading orbitally excited K1 series up through JP = 5−. These moments are used to perform an energy independent partial wave analysis of the K−π+ system from threshold to 2.6 GeV/c2 using a t-dependent parametrization of the production amplitudes. The amplitudes corroborate the leading K1(892), K21(1430), K31(1780), K41(2060), and K51(2380) resonances observed directly in the moments, and also provide new evidence for underlying states. The 0+ amplitude contains the K01(1350) and a second 0+K1(1950) at higher mass. The 1−K1(1790) seen earlier two and three-body analyses is confirmed, and evidence is provided for suppressed K−π+ decay mode of a second 1− state, the K1(1410), which has been seen in earlier three-body analyses. 相似文献

Evidence is presented for a newK * \(\bar K\) +c.c. resonance with a mass of (1,526±6) MeV, a width of (107±15) MeV and quantum numbersIJ PC=01++. We call itD′ meson. Initially it is observed as aK * \(\bar K\) +c.c. enhancement in the reactionsK ? p→(K s 0 K ±π?)Λ at 4.2 GeV/c. The isospin assignmentI=0 comes from its further observation in the reactionsK ? p→(K s 0 K ±π?)Σ 0 andK ? p→(K s 0 K ±π?)Σ(1,385)0 but not inK ? p→(K + K ?π?)Σ+ orK ? p→(K s 0 K ±π?)Σ(1,385)+. A maximum likelihood analysis of the (K \(\bar K\) π) decay Dalitz plots in the reactionsK ? p→(K s 0 K ±π?) determines theJ PC of theD′ meson to be 1++. A satisfactorySU(3) fit is obtained to a 1++ nonet composed of theI-1A 1, theI=1/2Q A with theD(1,285) and theD′(1,526) as theI=0 members having a mixing angle close to the magic one. 相似文献

On the basis of experimental data from the 6-m spectrometer of the Institute of Theoretical and Experimental Physics (ITEP, Moscow), an amplitude analysis of 40 553 events of the reaction π ? p → K S K S n induced by a negatively charged pion of energy 40 GeV is performed over a broad momentumtransfer range by using a new procedure. The results for |t| > 0.1 GeV2 are obtained for the first time. In particular, resonances of mass 1700 and 1900 MeV and width 120 MeV are discovered in the D + wave (there were no such resonances for |t| < 0.1 GeV2). In the region of low momentum transfers, the S wave exhibits a structure that lies in the mass region around 1370 MeV and which requires three resonances for its explanation. Two of these (that of mass 1234 ± 6 MeV and width 47 ± 33 MeV and that of mass 1478 ± 6 MeV and width 119 ± 10 MeV) were found in the studies of A. Etkin et al. [Phys. Rev. D 25, 2446 (1982)] and O.N. Baloshin et al. {Yad. Fiz. 43, 1487 (1986) [Phys. At. Nucl. 43, 959 (1986)]}. The third has a mass of 1389 ± 9 MeV and a width of 30 ± 24 MeV. At high momentum transfers, the S wave is found to feature resonances that have the following parameters: M = 1328 ± 8 MeV and Γ = 237 ± 20 MeV, M = 1440 ± 6 MeV and Γ = 121 ± 15 MeV, and M = 1776 ± 15 MeV and Γ = 250 ± 30 MeV. For the D 0 wave, it is found that, in addition to the well-known resonances f 2, a 2, and f′ 2, there appear the following resonances in this wave: a resonance of mass 2005 ± 12 MeV and width 209 ± 32 MeV and a resonance of mass 2270 ± 12 MeV and width 90 ± 29 MeV at low |t| and a resonance of mass 1659 ± 6 and width 152 ± 18 and a resonance of mass 2200 ± 13 MeV and width 91 ± 62 MeV at high |t|. 相似文献

An experiment on the radiative {+}-meson photoproduction from the proton ( p {+}n) was carried out at the Mainz Microtron MAMI in the kinematic region 537MeV < E < 817MeV, 140°
180°. The {+}-meson polarizabilities have been determined from a comparison of the data with the predictions of two different theoretical models, the first one being based on an effective pole model with pseudoscalar coupling while the second one is based on diagrams describing both resonant and nonresonant contributions. The validity of the models has been verified by comparing the predictions with the present experimental data in the kinematic region where the pion polarizability contribution is negligible ( s1 < 5m2) and where the difference between the predictions of the two models does not exceed 3%. In the region, where the pion polarizability contribution is substantial ( 5 < s1/m2 < 15, -12 < t/m2 < - 2), the difference
of the electric () and the magnetic () polarizabilities has been determined. As a result we find

InclusiveK s 0 , Λ and \(\bar \Lambda\) -production has been investigated in \(\bar p\) p-interactions at 22.4 GeV/c. Total and topological cross sections and multiplicity characteristics of neutral strange particles have been determined. DifferentialK s 0 and Λ-cross sections and also characteristics of annihilation processes with neutral kaon production have been studied. It is shown that the difference of the shapes of the invariantx-distributions forK-mesons in the fragmentation region for annihilation and non-annihilation processes can be described in the framework of the “dual” valon model, but not by considering the current (undressed) quark recombination mechanisms only. We perform a K-matrix analysis of IJ PC =00++, 10++, 02++, and 12++ meson partial waves using GAMS data on π? p → π0π0 n, ηηn, ηη'n that are supplemented with BNL data on π? p → K $\bar K$ n and Crystal Barrel data on p $\bar p$ (at rest) → π0π0π0, π0ηη, π0π0η. The positions of the amplitude poles (physical resonances) are determined, together with the positions of the K-matrix poles (bare states) and the values of barestate couplings to two-meson channels. The inclusive π0 and γ production is studied in a \(\bar PP\) experiment at 32.1 GeV/c performed in the Mirabelle bubble chamber with a sensitivity of ~2.7 events/μb. Total and topological π0 cross sections are presented. The π0 and γ longitudinal and transverse momentum distributions are obtained and compared with \(\bar PP\) data at 22.4 GeV/c andK ± P data at 32.1 GeV/c. Results obtained by investigating the reaction π ? p → η′π 0 n at the VES spectrometer (Institute for High Energy Physics, Protvino) are presented. The effective-mass spectrum and angular distributions of η′π 0 events are compared with their counterparts for ηπ 0 and η′π ? events selected from the same data sample. The ratio R of the branching fractions for the decays of a 2 0 (1320) mesons into η′π and ηπ is measured. The result is R=0.047±0.018, which agrees with the value measured previously for a 2 ? . An investigation of P-wave production in the η′π 0 and ηπ 0 systems over the effective-mass interval 1.45–1.9 GeV/c2 leads to the conclusion that the coupling of the exotic object π 1 (1600) to the ρπ channel is suppressed in relation to its coupling to the η′π or the b 1(1235)π channel. 相似文献
