In this work, nickel hexacyanoferrate-modified electrode was developed to determine potassium ions in biodiesel by potentiometry. The modified electrodes exhibit a linear response to potassium ions in the concentration range of 4.0 × 10−5 to 1.0 × 10−2 mol L−1, with a detection limit of 1.9 × 10−5 mol L−1, and a near-Nernstian slope (53–55 mV per decade) at 25 °C. The method developed in this work was compared with flame photometry and the potassium concentration found in biodiesel showed that the modified electrode method gives results similar to those obtained by flame photometry.  相似文献

Graphite powder-supported nickel(II) hexacyanoferrate (NiHCF) was prepared by the in situ chemical deposition method and then dispersed into methyltrimethoxysilane-derived gels to form a conductive composite. The composite was used as electrode material to construct a surface-renewable three-dimensional NiHCF-modified carbon ceramic electrode. Electrochemical behavior of the chemically modified electrode was well characterized using cyclic and square-wave voltammetry. The electrode presented a good electrocatalytic activity toward the oxidization of thiosulfate and thus was used as an amperometric sensor for thiosulfate in the photographic waste effluent. In addition, the electrode exhibited a distinct advantage of surface-renewal by simple mechanical polishing, as well as simple preparation, good chemical and mechanical stability.  相似文献

An 1-(pyridylazo)-2-naphthol modified glassy carbon electrode has been investigated as sensor for the measurement of trace levels of Cd2+. Cd2+ is deposited on the surface of a PAN modified glassy carbon electrode at –1.10 V (vs. SCE) via forming Cd2+–PAN and subsequent reduction at the electrode. In the following step, Cd-PAN is oxidized, and voltammograms are recorded by scanning the potential in a positive direction. Calibration plots were found to be linear in the range 2 × 10–8 mol/L to 8 × 10–7 mol/L. The detection limit was 5 × 10–10 mol/L, and the coefficient of variation, determined on one single electrode at a concentration of 5 × 10–7 mol/L, was calculated to be 3.2% (n = 5). Using this new kind of modified electrode, trace levels of Cd(II) in water samples were determined; the average recovery was calculated to be 98.78%. A highly sensitive potentiometric flow injection analysis method for the determination of manganese(II), utilizing a redox reaction with hexacyanoferrate(III) in near neutral media containing ammonium citrate is described. The analytical method is based on the detection of the change in potential of a flow-through type redox electrode detector, resulting from the composition change of an [Fe(CN)6]3−-[Fe(CN)6]4− potential buffer solution. A linear relationship between the potential change (peak height) and the concentration of manganese(II) was found. Manganese(II) in a wide concentration range from 10−4 to 10−7 M could be determined by appropriately altering the concentration of the potential buffer from 10−3 to 10−5 M. The lower detection limit of manganese(II) was determined to be 1×10−7 M. The sampling rate and relative standard deviation were 20 h−1 and 1.9% (n=8) for 6×10−6 M manganese(II), respectively. The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of manganese(II) in actual soil samples obtained from tea fields. Analytical results obtained by the proposed method were in good agreement with those obtained by an atomic absorption spectrophotometric method.  相似文献

Cobalt(II) hexacyanoferrate (CoHCF) was deposited on graphite powder by an in situ chemical deposition procedure and then dispersed into methyltrimethoxysilane-derived gels to prepare a surface-renewable CoHCF-modified electrode. The electrochemical behavior of the modified electrode in different supporting electrolyte solutions was characterized by cyclic voltammetry. In addition, square-wave voltammetry was employed to investigate the pNa-dependent electrochemical behavior of the electrode. The CoHCF-modified electrode showed a high electrocatalytic activity toward thiosulfate oxidation and could thus be used as an amperometric thiosulfate sensor.  相似文献

A rapid and accurate electrometric method for the determination of potassium ferricyanide solutions has been investigated. It consists in titrating ferricyanide solutions potentiometrically against standard AgNO3, using a silver indicator electrode in conjunction with a saturated calomel electrode connected by a KNO3 bridge. Either of the reagents may be used as the titrant. A marked change in e.m.f is observed at thc end-point corresponding to the formation and precipitation of Ag3[Fe(CN)6]. The curves have a regular form, a pronounced maximum in dE/dV occurs at the end-point and the results are very accurate and reproducible. The reaction, though simple, affords a quantitative method for the determination of ferricyanide or silver. The effect of neutral salts and ethanol on the accuracy of the end-point has been studied.  相似文献

Potentiometric stripping determination of Cd, Cu and Zn using a vibrating electrode (VE) is presented. A simple VE was constructed by using a piezoelectric bimorph oscillator and an inexpensive graphite-reinforcement carbon (GRC) rod (a mechanical pencil). Experimental results obtained with the simple VE follow the equation valid for quantitative application of potentiometric stripping analysis (PSA) in large solutions. It was found that the GRC vibrating electrode is suitable for multielement trace analysis of small samples of 0.05 mL. The relative standard deviations for divalent metals are better than 2%.  相似文献

A highly sensitive tetrafluoroborate ion-selective poly(vinyl chloride) membrane electrode was constructed and applied to a detector in the flow-injection determination of boron. Boron at the 10 ng ml?1 level can be determined by converting it to tetrafluoroborate ion in a flow of hydrofluoric acid. A sampling rate of 30 h?1 was achieved with a relative standard deviation of less than 2%.  相似文献

A mixed-valence cluster of cobalt(II)hexacyanoferrate possesses an electron transfer property and is suitable for the development of an effective hydrogen peroxide detection scheme. The characteristics of cobalt(II)hexacyanoferrate have been studied using both elemental analysis and infrared spectra, confirming the structure is Co[FeII(CN)6]. The cobalt(II)hexacyanoferrate-modified electrode exhibits a rapid response (t95% - 6.5 s) to the injection of 5.0 × 10−5 M hydrogen peroxide. The linearity of the response is up to 1.1 × 10−3 M (correlation coefficients is 0.999). The sensitivity of this modified electrode is 11.8 μA/mM-mm2. The detection limit of cobalt(II)hexacyanoferrate-modified electrode to hydrogen peroxide is 6.25 × 10−8 M. The current chemical sensor modified with Co[FeII(CN)6] has better sensitivity than previous ones. The modified glassy carbon electrode shows no interference from ascorbic acid, uric acid, acetaminophen, 1,4-dihydroxyquinone, dopamine at the 2.0 × 10−4 M level and polyamines at 5.0 × 10−5 M level.  相似文献

A potentiometric titration method using a cationic surfactant as an indicator cation and a plasticized poly(vinyl chloride) membrane electrode sensitive to the cationic surfactant is proposed for the determination of polyhexamethylene biguanide hydrochloride (PHMB-HCl), which is a cationic polyelectrolyte. A sample solution of PHMB-HCl containing an indicator cation (hexadecyltrimethylammonium ion, HTA) was titrated with a standard solution of an anionic polyelectrolyte, potassium poly(vinyl sulfate) (PVSK). The end-point was detected as a sharp potential change due to an abrupt decrease in the concentration of the indicator cation, HTA, which is caused by its association with PVSK. The effects of the concentrations of HTA ion and coexisting electrolytes in the sample solution on the degree of the potential change at the end-point were examined. A linear relationship between the concentration of PHMB-HCl and the end-point volume of the titrant exists in the concentration range from 2.0 x 10(-5) to 4.0 x 10(-4) M in the case that the concentration of HTA is 1.0 x 10(-5) M, and that from 1.0 x 10(-6) to 1.2 x 10(-5) M in the case that the concentration of HTA is 5.0 x 10(-6) M, respectively. The proposed method was applied to the determination of PHMB-HCl in some contact-lens detergents.  相似文献

Utilizing the fascinating properties of montmorillonite calcium (MMT-Ca), such as huge cationic exchange capacity, strong adsorptive ability, high chemical and mechanical stability, an MMT-Ca modified carbon paste electrode (CPE) was constructed for the sensitive determination of Pb2+. In 0.01 mol·L−1 HCl, Pb2+ was firstly exchanged and accumulated on an MMT-Ca modified CPE surface and secondly reduced to Pb at −0.90 V. In the following potential sweep from −0.90 to −0.50 V, reduced Pb was oxidized, resulting in an obvious stripping peak at −0.58 V. After optimizing the parameters, such as determining medium, content of MMT-Ca, accumulation potential and time, an electrochemical method was developed for the analysis of Pb2+. Compared with bare CPE, the MMT-Ca modified CPE significantly enhances the sensitivity of Pb2+ analysis. The limit of detection is evaluated to be 6.0 × 10−9 mol L−1 Pb2+. Finally, this method was successfully employed to determine trace levels of Pb2+ in water samples. The first two authors contribute equally do this work  相似文献

This works reports the use of square-wave adsorptive stripping voltammetry (SWAdSV) for the simultaneous determination of Ni(II) and Co(II) on a rotating-disc bismuth-film electrode (BFE). The metal ions in the non-deoxygenated sample were complexed with dimethylglyoxime (DMG) and the complexes were accumulated by adsorption on the surface of the BFE. The stripping step was carried out by using a square-wave potential-time voltammetric excitation signal. Electrochemical cleaning of the bismuth film was employed, enabling the same bismuth film to be used for a series of measurements. The experimental variables (choice of the working electrode substrate, the presence of oxygen, the DMG concentration, the buffer concentration, the preconcentration potential, the accumulation time, the rotation speed and the SW parameters) as well as potential interferences were investigated and the figures of merit of the methods were established. Using the selected conditions, the 3σ limits of detection were 70 ng l−1 for Co(II) and 100 ng l−1 for Ni(II) (for 300 s of preconcentration) and the relative standard deviations were 2.3% for Co(II) and 3.9% for Ni(II) at the 2 μg l−1 level (n = 8). Finally, the method was applied to the determination of nickel and cobalt in real samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献
