The mechanism of dipion transitions nSn′Sππ (n = 3, 2; n′ = 2, 1) in bottomonium and charmonium is studied with the use of the chiral string-breaking Lagrangian allowing for the emission of any number of π(K, ν), and not containing fitting parameters. The transition amplitude contains two terms: M = a − b, where the first term (a) refers to subsequent one-pion emission, , and the second term (b) refers to two-pion emission, . The one parameter formula for the dipion mass distribution is derived, dw/dq∼ (phase space) × | ηx|2, where x = (q 2 − 4m π2)/(q max2 − 4m π2), q 2 m= M ππ2. The parameter ν dependent on the process is calculated, using SHO wave functions and imposing PCAC restrictions (Adler zero) on amplitudes a and b. The resulting dipion mass distributions are in agreement with experimental data. The text was submitted by the authors in English.  相似文献

We suggest a new phenomenological potential for heavy quarkonium. The potential has a Lorentz vector term motivated by experimental leptonic widths for vector mesons and perturbative QCD at short distances and a Lorentz scalar term responsible for quark confinement at large distances. Using this potential we calculate the energy levels, leptonic decay widths, radiative transition rates and hadronic decay rates of the \(c\bar c, b\bar b\) and \(t\bar t\) systems. We revisit the heavy quarkonium leptonic decays ψ(nS)→?~+?~- and Υ(nS)→?~+?~- using the Bethe-Salpeter method.The emphasis is on the relativistic corrections.For the ψ(1S-5S)decays,the relativistic effects are ■ and ■,respectively.For the Υ(1S-5S) decays,the relativistic effects are ■ and ■,respectively.Thus,the relativistic corrections are large and important in heavy quarkonium leptonic decays,especially for the highly excited charmonium.Our results forΥ(nS)→?~+?~- are consistent with the experimental data.  相似文献

We present a gluon jet model for the heavy quarkonium decay incorporating the color neutralization mechanism. Postulating that final hadrons are produced from the color singlet quark-antiquark pair originated each from different gluons, we formulate the production mechanism of hadrons from gluons explicitly. The fragmentation function thus obtained can describe the hadron production not only in the fragmentation region but also in the central one owing to the usage of the Sudakov variables. The result of the average charged multiplicity from Υ(9.46) is in reasonable agreement with the data, in contrast to the naive estimates. Furthermore, the inclusive momentum and multiplicity distributions are discussed.  相似文献

We study phenomenologically the QCD sum rules given by Shifman et al. for the heavy quarkonium. In the charmonium sum rules, we find that the contribution of the physical continuum to the moment ?n is consistent with that of the effective one. As for the bottonium, the sum rules corrected by the Coulomb-like interaction are saturated very well by the four resonances observed at CESR. It is predicted that the3S1 ground state of the toponium must exist in the range of \(M_{t\bar t} \) =30–44GeV, if the sum rules for the top quark are assumed.  相似文献

A search has been made for direct production of heavy quarkonium states in more than 3 million hadronic Z 0 decays in the 1991–1994 DELPHI data. Prompt J/ψ, ψ(2S) and Υ candidates have been searched for through their leptonic decay modes using criteria based on the kinematics and decay vertex positions. New upperlimits are set at the 90% confidence level for Br(Z0 → (QQ) X)/Br (Z0 → hadrons) for various strong production mechanisms of J/ψ and Υ these range down to 0.9 × 10?4. The limits are set in the presence of a small excess (~ 1% statistical probability of a background fluctuation) in the sum of candidates from prompt J/ψ, ψ(2S), Υ(1S),Υ(2S) and Υ(3S) relative to the estimated background.  相似文献

Fragmentation of abantiquark into polarized Bc * mesons has been studied within the framework of the effective theory of heavy quarks. The functions ofb fragmentation into longitudinally polarized and transversely polarizedb S-wave states have been calculated with precise account for corrections of the first order in 1/mb. We study the entropic destruction of heavy quarkonium in strongly coupled theories with an anisotropic scaling symmetry in time and a spatial direction. We consider Lifshitz and hyperscaling violation theories, which are covariant under a generalized Lifshitz scaling symmetry with the dynamical exponent z and hyperscaling violation exponent \begin{document}$ \theta$\end{document}. It is shown that the entropic force depends on the parameters of these theories. In particular, increasing z decreases the entropic force, thus reducing the quarkonium dissociation, while increasing \begin{document}$ \theta$\end{document} has the opposite effect.  相似文献
