Let ${\cal A}$ be the affine space of all connections in an SU(2) principal fibre bundle over ?3. The set of homogeneous isotropic connections forms a line l in ${\cal A}$ . We prove that the parallel transports for general, non-straight paths in the base manifold do not depend almost periodically on l. Consequently, the embedding $l \hookrightarrow {\cal A}$ does not continuously extend to an embedding $\overline{l} \hookrightarrow \overline{\cal A}$ of the respective compactifications. Here, the Bohr compactification $\overline{l}$ corresponds to the configuration space of homogeneous isotropic loop quantum cosmology and $\overline{\cal A}$ to that of loop quantum gravity. Analogous results are given for the anisotropic case.  相似文献

In order to understand the structure of the X(3872) the effects of the ${{\rm c\overline{c}}}$ charmonium core state coupling to the ${D^0\overline{D}^{*0}}$ and D + D *? molecule states are studied. The obtained structure of the X(3872) is about 9 % of ${{\rm c}\overline{{\rm c}}}$ charmonium, 75 % of the isoscalar ${D\overline{D}}$ molecule and 16 % of the isovector ${D\overline{D}}$ molecule which explains observed properties of the X(3872) well.  相似文献

In this article, we present a brief review of the discoveries of kinds of antimatter particles, including positron ( $ \bar e $ ), antiproton ( $ \bar p $ ), antideuteron ( $ \bar d $ ) and antihelium-3 ( $ ^3 \overline {He} $ ). Special emphasis is put on the discovery of the antihypertriton( $ \frac{3} {\Lambda }\overline H $ ) and antihelium-4 nucleus ( $ ^4 \overline {He} $ , or $ \bar \alpha $ ) which were reported by the RHIC-STAR experiment very recently. In addition, brief discussions about the effort to search for antinuclei in cosmic rays and study of the longtime confinement of the simplest antimatter atom, antihydrogen are also given. Moreover, the production mechanism of anti-light nuclei is introduced.  相似文献

Hypernuclear research will be one of the main topics addressed by the PANDA experiment at the planned Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research FAIR at Darmstadt (Germany). Thanks to the use of stored $\overline{p}$ beams, copious production of double ?? hypernuclei is expected at the PANDA experiment, which will enable high precision ?? spectroscopy of such nuclei for the first time. At PANDA excited states of ???? hypernuclei will be used as a starting point for the formation of double ?? hypernuclei. In order to predict the yield of particle stable double hypernuclei a microcanonical decay model was developed. For the detection of these nuclei, a devoted hypernuclear detector setup is planned. This set-up consists, in addition to the general purpose of the PANDA set-up, of a primary nuclear target for the production of $\Xi^{-}+\overline{\Xi}$ pairs, a secondary active target for the hypernuclei formation and the identification of associated decay products and a germanium array detector to perform ?? spectroscopy. Furthermore, the presence of $\overline{\Xi}$ can be used as an alternative to tag the strangeness in the $\Xi^{-}+\overline{\Xi}$ . All systems need to operate in the presence of a high magnetic field and a large hadronic background. In the present talk details concerning simulations, the identification procedure of double hypernuclei and the suppression of background will be presented. In addition, the present status of the detector developments for this programme will be briefly given.  相似文献

In the X (3872) decay, both of the ${{J/{\psi\pi\pi}}}$ and ${{J/{\psi\pi\pi\pi}}}$ branching fractions are observed experimentally, and their sizes are comparable to each other. In order to clarify the mechanism to cause such a large isospin violation, we investigate X(3872) employing a model of coupled-channel two-meson scattering with a ${{\rm c}\bar{c}}$ core. The two-meson states consist of ${{D^0\overline{D}^{*0}}}$ , D + D *?, ${{J/{\psi\rho}}}$ , and ${{J/{\psi\omega}}}$ . The effects of the ρ and ω meson width are also taken into account. We calculate the transfer strength from the ${{{\rm c}\bar{c}}}$ core to the final two-meson states. It is found that very narrow ${{J/{\psi\rho}}}$ and ${{J/{\psi\omega}}}$ peaks appear very close to the ${{D^0\overline{D}^{*0}}}$ threshold for a wide range of variation in the parameter sets. The size of the ${{J/{\psi\rho}}}$ peak is almost the same as that of ${{J/{\psi\omega}}}$ , which is consistent with the experiments. The large width of the ρ meson makes the originally small isospin violation by about five times larger.  相似文献

We study charmless pure annihilation type radiative B decays within the QCD factorization approach. After adding the vertex corrections to the naive factorization approach, we find that the branching ratios of $\overline{B}^{0}_{d}\to\phi\gamma$ , $\overline{B}^{0}_{s}\to\rho^{0}\gamma$ and $\overline{B}^{0}_{s}\to\omega\gamma$ within the standard model are at the order of $\mathcal{O}(10^{-12})$ , $\mathcal{O}(10^{-10})$ and $\mathcal{O}(10^{-11})$ , respectively. The smallness of these decays in the standard model makes them sensitive probes of flavor physics beyond the standard model. To explore their physics potential, we have estimated the contribution of Z′ boson in the decays. Within the allowed parameter space, the branching ratios of these decay modes can be enhanced remarkably in the non-universal Z′ model: The branching ratios can reach to $\mathcal{O}(10^{-8})$ for $\overline{B}_{s}^{0}\to \rho^{0}(\omega)\gamma$ and $\mathcal{O}(10^{-10})$ for the $\overline{B}_{d}^{0}\to \phi \gamma$ , which are large enough for LHC-b and/or Super B-factories to detect those channels in near future. Moreover, we also predict large CP asymmetries in suitable parameter space. The observation of these modes could in turn help us to constrain the Z′ mass within the model.  相似文献

The spin magnetic moment $\mu^{\overline{p}}_{s}$ of the antiproton can be determined by comparing the measured transition frequencies in $\overline{p}^4$ He?+? with three-body QED calculations. A comparison between the proton and antiproton can then be used as a test of CPT invariance. The highest measurement precision of the difference between the proton and the antiproton spin magnetic moments to date is 0.3%. A new experimental value of the spin magnetic moment of the antiproton was obtained as $\mu^{\overline{p}}_{s} = -2.7862(83)\mu_{N}$ , slightly better than the previously best measurement. This agrees with $\mu^{p}_{s}$ within 0.24%. In 2009, a new measurement with antiprotonic 3He has been started. A comparison between the theoretical calculations and experimental results would lead to a stronger test of the theory and address systematic errors therein. A measurement of this state will be the first HF measurement on $\overline{p}^3$ He?+?. We report here on the new experimental setup and the first tests.  相似文献

The features of the new interaction model ESC08c in ${\Lambda N}$ , ${\Sigma N}$ and ${\Xi N}$ channels are demonstrated single hyperon potentials ${U_Y(Y=\Lambda, \Sigma, \Xi)}$ in nuclear matter on the basis of the G-matrix theory. (K ?, K +) productions of ${\Xi}$ hypernuclei are studied with ${\Xi}$ -nucleus folding potentials.  相似文献

Isospin violating hadronic decays of the $ \eta$ and $ \eta{^\prime}$ mesons into 3 $ \pi$ mesons are driven by a term in the QCD Lagrangian proportional to the mass difference of the d and u quarks. The source giving large yield of the mesons for such decay studies are pp interactions close to the respective kinematical thresholds. The most important physics background for $ \eta$ , $ \eta{^\prime}$ $ \rightarrow$ $ \pi$ $ \pi$ $ \pi$ is coming from direct three-pion production reactions. In case of the $ \eta$ meson the background for the decays is relatively low ( $ \approx$ 10% . The purpose of this article is to provide an estimate of the direct pion production background for the $ \eta{^\prime}$ $ \rightarrow$ 3 $ \pi$ decays. Using the inclusive data from the COSY-11 experiment we have extracted the differential cross-section for the pp $ \rightarrow$ pp -multipion production reactions with the invariant mass of the pions equal to the $ \eta{^\prime}$ meson mass and estimated an upper limit for the signal to background ratio for studies of the $ \eta{^\prime}$ $ \rightarrow$ $ \pi^{+}_{}$ $ \pi^{-}_{}$ $ \pi^{0}_{}$ decay.  相似文献

The shapes of invariant differential cross section for identified $\pi ^{\pm },K^{\pm }, p$ and $\overline{p}$ production as a function of transverse momentum measured in $pp$ collisions by the PHENIX detector are analyzed in terms of a recently introduced approach. Simultaneous fits of these data to the sum of exponential and power-law terms show a significant difference in the exponential term contributions. This effect qualitatively explains the observed shape of the experimental $K/\pi $ and $p/\pi $ yield ratios measured as a function of transverse momentum of produced hadrons. A picture with two types of mechanisms for hadron production is presented. Universality of the power-law term behavior for $\pi ^{\pm },K^{\pm }, p$ , and $\overline{p}$ production is shown.  相似文献

We study subadditive functions of the random parking model previously analyzed by the second author. In particular, we consider local functions S of subsets of ${\mathbb{R}^d}$ and of point sets that are (almost) subadditive in their first variable. Denoting by ξ the random parking measure in ${\mathbb{R}^d}$ , and by ξ R the random parking measure in the cube Q R =  (?R, R) d , we show, under some natural assumptions on S, that there exists a constant ${\overline{S} \in \mathbb{R}}$ such that $$\lim_{R \to +\infty} \frac{S(Q_R, \xi)}{|Q_R|} \, = \, \lim_{R \to +\infty} \frac{S(Q_R, \xi^{R})}{|Q_R|} \, = \, \overline{S}$$ almost surely. If ${\zeta \mapsto S(Q_R, \zeta)}$ is the counting measure of ${\zeta}$ in Q R , then we retrieve the result by the second author on the existence of the jamming limit. The present work generalizes this result to a wide class of (almost) subadditive functions. In particular, classical Euclidean optimization problems as well as the discrete model for rubber previously studied by Alicandro, Cicalese, and the first author enter this class of functions. In the case of rubber elasticity, this yields an approximation result for the continuous energy density associated with the discrete model at the thermodynamic limit, as well as a generalization to stochastic networks generated on bounded sets.  相似文献

Charmonium rescattering effects in the M1 transition of $ \psi$ (2S) $ \rightarrow$ $ \gamma$ $ \eta_{c}^{}$ are investigated by modeling a $ \chi_{{cJ}}^{}$ or J/ $ \psi$ rescattering into a $ \eta_{c}^{}$ final state. The absorptive and dispersive part of the transition amplitudes for the rescattering loops of $ \eta$ $ \psi$ ( $ \gamma^{{\ast}}_{}$ ) and $ \gamma$ $ \chi$ ( $ \psi$ ) are separately evaluated. The numerical results show that the contribution from the $ \gamma$ $ \chi$ ( $ \psi$ ) rescattering process is negligible. Compared with the virtual D $ \bar{{D}}$ (D *) rescattering processes, the $ \eta$ $ \psi$ ( $ \gamma^{{\ast}}_{}$ ) process may be regarded as the next-leading order of the hadronic loop mechanism, which only offers the partial decay width of ~ 0.045 keV to the $ \psi$ (2S) $ \rightarrow$ $ \gamma$ $ \eta_{c}^{}$ .  相似文献

Let ${Y_{m|n}^{\ell}}$ be the super Yangian of general linear Lie superalgebra for ${\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n}}$ . Let ${e \in \mathfrak{gl}_{m\ell|n\ell}}$ be a “rectangular” nilpotent element and ${\mathcal{W}_e}$ be the finite W-superalgebra associated to e. We show that ${Y_{m|n}^{\ell}}$ is isomorphic to ${\mathcal{W}_e}$ .  相似文献

We study the production of charmed mesons (D) and baryons (?? c ) in antiproton-proton ${(\bar{p}p)}$ annihilation close to their respective production thresholds. The elementary charm production process is described by either baryon/meson exchange or by quark/gluon dynamics. Effects of the interactions in the initial and final states are taken into account rigorously. The calculations are performed in close analogy to our earlier study on ${\bar{p}p \to \bar{\Lambda} \Lambda}$ and ${\bar{p} p \to \bar{K} K}$ by connecting the processes via SU(4) flavor symmetry. Our predictions for the ${\bar{\Lambda}_c \Lambda_c}$ production cross section are in the order of 1 to 7 mb, i.e. a factor of around 10?C70 smaller than the corresponding cross sections for ${\bar{\Lambda} \Lambda}$ However, they are 100 to 1000 times larger than predictions of other model calculations in the literature. On the other hand, the resulting cross sections for ${\bar{D} D}$ production are found to be in the order of 10?2 ?C 10?1 ??b and they turned out to be comparable to those obtained in other studies.  相似文献

Heavy neutron-rich nuclei have been populated through the relativistic fragmentation of a $\ensuremath ^{208}_{\ 82}{\rm Pb}$ beam at $\ensuremath E/A = 1$ GeV on a $\ensuremath 2.5 {\rm g/cm^2}$ thick Be target. The synthesised nuclei were selected and identified in-flight using the fragment separator at GSI. Approximately 300 ns after production, the selected nuclei were implanted in an $\ensuremath \sim 8$ mm thick perspex stopper, positioned at the centre of the RISING $\ensuremath \gamma$ -ray detector spectrometer array. A previously unreported isomer with a half-life $\ensuremath T_{1/2} = 163(5)$ ns has been observed in the N = 126 closed-shell nucleus $\ensuremath ^{205}_{\ 79}{\rm Au}$ . Through $ \gamma$ -ray singles and $ \gamma$ - $ \gamma$ coincidence analysis a level scheme was established. The comparison with a shell model calculation tentatively identifies the spin-parity of the excited states, including the isomer itself, which is found to be $\ensuremath I^{\pi} = (19/2^+)$ .  相似文献

The symmetric algebra ${S(\mathfrak{g})}$ over a Lie algebra ${\mathfrak{g}}$ has the structure of a Poisson algebra. Assume ${\mathfrak{g}}$ is complex semisimple. Then results of Fomenko–Mischenko (translation of invariants) and Tarasov construct a polynomial subalgebra ${{\mathcal {H}} = {\mathbb C}[q_1,\ldots,q_b]}$ of ${S(\mathfrak{g})}$ which is maximally Poisson commutative. Here b is the dimension of a Borel subalgebra of ${\mathfrak{g}}$ . Let G be the adjoint group of ${\mathfrak{g}}$ and let ? = rank ${\mathfrak{g}}$ . Using the Killing form, identify ${\mathfrak{g}}$ with its dual so that any G-orbit O in ${\mathfrak{g}}$ has the structure (KKS) of a symplectic manifold and ${S(\mathfrak{g})}$ can be identified with the affine algebra of ${\mathfrak{g}}$ . An element ${x\in \mathfrak{g}}$ will be called strongly regular if ${\{({\rm d}q_i)_x\},\,i=1,\ldots,b}$ , are linearly independent. Then the set ${\mathfrak{g}^{\rm{sreg}}}$ of all strongly regular elements is Zariski open and dense in ${\mathfrak{g}}$ and also ${\mathfrak{g}^{\rm{sreg}}\subset \mathfrak{g}^{\rm{ reg}}}$ where ${\mathfrak{g}^{\rm{reg}}}$ is the set of all regular elements in ${\mathfrak{g}}$ . A Hessenberg variety is the b-dimensional affine plane in ${\mathfrak{g}}$ , obtained by translating a Borel subalgebra by a suitable principal nilpotent element. Such a variety was introduced in Kostant (Am J Math 85:327–404, 1963). Defining Hess to be a particular Hessenberg variety, Tarasov has shown that ${{\rm{Hess}}\subset \mathfrak{g}^{\rm{sreg}}}$ . Let R be the set of all regular G-orbits in ${\mathfrak{g}}$ . Thus if ${O\in R}$ , then O is a symplectic manifold of dimension 2n where n = b ? ?. For any ${O\in R}$ let ${O^{\rm{sreg}} = \mathfrak{g}^{\rm{sreg}} \cap O}$ . One shows that O sreg is Zariski open and dense in O so that O sreg is again a symplectic manifold of dimension 2n. For any ${O\in R}$ let ${{\rm{Hess}}(O) = {\rm{Hess}}\cap O}$ . One proves that Hess(O) is a Lagrangian submanifold of O sreg and that $${\rm{Hess}} = \sqcup_{O\in R}{\rm{Hess}}(O).$$ The main result of this paper is to show that there exists simultaneously over all ${O\in R}$ , an explicit polarization (i.e., a “fibration” by Lagrangian submanifolds) of O sreg which makes O sreg simulate, in some sense, the cotangent bundle of Hess(O).  相似文献

Newman’s measure for (dis)assortativity, the linear degree correlation coefficient $\rho _{D}$ , is reformulated in terms of the total number N k of walks in the graph with k hops. This reformulation allows us to derive a new formula from which a degree-preserving rewiring algorithm is deduced, that, in each rewiring step, either increases or decreases $\rho _{D}$ conform our desired objective. Spectral metrics (eigenvalues of graph-related matrices), especially, the largest eigenvalue $\lambda _{1}$ of the adjacency matrix and the algebraic connectivity $\mu _{N-1}$ (second-smallest eigenvalue of the Laplacian) are powerful characterizers of dynamic processes on networks such as virus spreading and synchronization processes. We present various lower bounds for the largest eigenvalue $\lambda _{1}$ of the adjacency matrix and we show, apart from some classes of graphs such as regular graphs or bipartite graphs, that the lower bounds for $\lambda _{1}$ increase with $\rho _{D}$ . A new upper bound for the algebraic connectivity $\mu _{N-1}$ decreases with $\rho _{D}$ . Applying the degree-preserving rewiring algorithm to various real-world networks illustrates that (a) assortative degree-preserving rewiring increases $\lambda _{1}$ , but decreases $\mu _{N-1}$ , even leading to disconnectivity of the networks in many disjoint clusters and that (b) disassortative degree-preserving rewiring decreases $\lambda _{1}$ , but increases the algebraic connectivity, at least in the initial rewirings.  相似文献
