The new compound K2CuSbS3 has been synthesized by the reaction of K2S, Cu, Sb, and S at 823 K. The compound crystallizes in the Na2CuSbS3 structure type with four formula units in space group P21/c of the monoclinic system in a cell at 153 K of a=6.2712 (6) Å, b=17.947 (2) Å, c=7.4901 (8) Å, β=120.573 (1)°, and V=725.81 (12) Å3. The structure contains two-dimensional layers separated by K atoms. Each layer is built from CuS3 and SbS3 units. Each Cu atom is pyramidally coordinated to three S atoms with the Cu atom about 0.4 Å above the plane of the S atoms. Each Sb atom is similarly coordinated to three S atoms but is about 1.1 Å above its S3 plane. First-principles calculations indicate an indirect band gap of 1.9 eV. These calculations also indicate that there is a bonding interaction between the Cu and Sb atoms. An optical absorption measurement performed with light perpendicular to the (0 1 0) crystal face of a red block-shaped crystal of K2CuSbS3 indicates an experimental indirect band gap of 2.2 eV.  相似文献

Two new (NaSrP, Li4SrP2) and two known (LiSrP, LiBaP) ternary phosphides have been synthesized and characterized using single crystal X-ray diffraction studies. NaSrP crystallizes in the non-centrosymmetric hexagonal space group (#189, a=7.6357(3) Å, c=4.4698(3) Å, V=225.69(2) Å3, Z=3, and R/wR=0.0173/0.0268). NaSrP adopts an ordered Fe2P structure type. PSr6 trigonal prisms share trigonal (pinacoid) faces to form 1D chains. Those chains define large channels along the [001] direction through edge-sharing. The channels are filled by chains of PNa6 face-sharing trigonal prisms. Li4SrP2 crystallizes in the rhombohedral space group (#166, a=4.2813(2) Å, c=23.437(2) Å, V=372.04(4) Å3, Z=3, and R/wR=0.0142/0.0222). In contrast to previous reports, LiSrP and LiBaP crystallize in the centrosymmetric hexagonal space group P63/mmc (#194, a=4.3674(3) Å, c=7.9802(11) Å, V=131.82(2) Å3, Z=2, and R/wR=0.0099/0.0217 for LiSrP; a=4.5003(2) Å, c=8.6049(7) Å, V=150.92(2) Å3, Z=2, and R/wR=0.0098/0.0210 for LiBaP). Li4SrP2, LiSrP, and LiBaP can be described as Li3P derivatives. Li atoms and P atoms make a graphite-like hexagonal layer, . In LiSrP and LiBaP, Sr or Ba atoms reside between layers to substitute for two Li atoms of Li3P, while in Li4SrP2, Sr substitutes only between every other layer.  相似文献

Single crystals of the potassium uranyl iodate, K[UO2(IO3)3] (1), have been grown under mild hydrothermal conditions. The structure of 1 contains two-dimensional sheets extending in the [ab] plane that consist of approximately linear UO22+ cations bound by iodate anions to yield UO7 pentagonal bipyramids. There are three crystallographically unique iodate anions, two of which bridge between uranyl cations to create sheets, and one that is monodentate and protrudes in between the layers in cavities. K+ cations form long ionic contacts with oxygen atoms from the layers forming an eight-coordinate distorted dodecahedral geometry. These cations join the sheets together. Ion-exchange reactions have been carried out that indicate the selective uptake of Cs+ over Na+ or K+ by 1. Crystallographic data (193 K, MoKα, ): 1, orthorhombic, Pbca, a=11.495(1) Å, b=7.2293(7) Å, c=25.394(2) Å, Z=8, R(F)=1.95% for 146 parameters with 2619 reflections with I>2σ(I).  相似文献

Ba3MgSi2O8, a phosphor host examined for use in white-light devices and plant-growth lamps, was synthesized at 1225 °C in air. Its crystal structure has been determined and refined by a combined powder X-ray and neutron Rietveld method (, Z=3, a=9.72411(3) Å, c=7.27647(3) Å, V=595.870(5) Å3; Rp/Rwp=3.79%/5.03%, χ2=4.20). Superstructure reflections, observed only in the neutron diffraction data, provided the means to establish the true unit cell and a chemically reasonable structure. The structure contains three crystallographically distinct Ba atoms—Ba1 resides in a distorted octahedral site with S6 () symmetry, Ba2 in a nine-coordinate site with C3 (3) symmetry, and Ba3 in a ten-coordinate site with C1 (1) symmetry. The Mg atoms occupy distorted octahedral sites, and the Si atom occupies a distorted tetrahedral site.  相似文献

Phase transitions in the elpasolite-type K3AlF6 complex fluoride were investigated using differential scanning calorimetry, electron diffraction and X-ray powder diffraction. Three phase transitions were identified with critical temperatures , and . The α-K3AlF6 phase is stable below T1 and crystallizes in a monoclinic unit cell with a=18.8588(2)Å, b=34.0278(2)Å, c=18.9231(1)Å, β=90.453(1)° (a=2accc, b=4bc, c=ac+2cc; ac, bc, cc—the basic lattice vectors of the face-centered cubic elpasolite structure) and space group I2/a or Ia. The intermediate β phase exists only in very narrow temperature interval between T1 and T2. The γ polymorph is stable in the T2<T<T3 temperature range and has an orthorhombic unit cell with a=36.1229(6)Å, b=17.1114(3)Å, c=12.0502(3)Å (a=3ac−3cc, b=2bc, c=ac+cc) at 250 °C and space group Fddd. Above T3 the cubic δ polymorph forms with ac=8.5786(4)Å at 400 °C and space group . The similarity between the K3AlF6 and K3MoO3F3 compounds is discussed.  相似文献

Single crystals of the strontium phosphate orthoborate metaborate, Sr10[(PO4)5.5(BO4)0.5](BO2), were grown from the melt and investigated by X-ray diffraction (space group , No. 147; a=9.7973(8) Å, c=7.3056(8) Å, V=607.29(10) Å3, Z=1). The crystal structure is closely related to apatite and contains linear metaborate groups, [BO2] (point group D∞h, B-O=1.284(11) Å) taking positions within the channels running along the three-fold inversion axis. Strontium sites are found to be fully occupied while [PO4]3− tetrahedra are partially replaced by [BO4]5− groups.  相似文献

This paper reports the syntheses and characterization of two phosphonate compounds Cd{(2-C5H4NO)CH(OH)PO3}(H2O)2 (1) and Zn{(4-C5H4NO)CH(OH)PO3} (2) based on hydroxy(2-pyridyl N-oxide)methylphosphonic and hydroxy(4-pyridyl N-oxide)methylphosphonic acids. Compound 1 has a chain structure in which dimers of edge-shared {CdO6} octahedra are linked by {CPO3} tetrahedra through corner-sharing. The pyridyl rings reside on the two sides of the inorganic chain. Compound 2 has a layer structure where the inorganic chains made up of corner-sharing {ZnO4} and {CPO3} tetrahedra are covalently connected by pyridyl N-oxide groups. The new quaternary sulfide La4MnCu6S10 has been synthesized by the reaction of La2S3, MnS, and CuS2 at 1223 K. This compound crystallizes in a new structure type in space group of the triclinic system with one formula unit in a cell of dimensions at 153 K of a=6.6076(3) Å, b=7.3247(3) Å, c=8.7844(4) Å, α=83.457(1)°, β=74.398(1)°, γ=89.996(1)°, and V=406.61(3) Å3. The structure of La4MnCu6S10 consists of a three-dimensional framework of interconnected LaS7 monocapped trigonal prisms, MnS6 octahedra, and CuS4 tetrahedra. Band gaps of 2.49 eV in the [100] direction and 2.53 eV in the [001] direction have been derived from optical absorption measurements on a La4MnCu6S10 single crystal.  相似文献

Two new compounds Ca0.5Bi3V2O10 and Sr0.5Bi3V2O10 have been synthesized in the ternary system: MO-Bi2O3-V2O5 system (M=M2+). The crystal structure of Sr0.5Bi3V2O10 has been determined from single crystal X-ray diffraction data, space group and Z=2, with cell parameters a=7.1453(3) Å, b=7.8921(3) Å, c=9.3297(3) Å, α=106.444(2)°, β=94.088(2)°, γ=112.445(2)°, V=456.72(4) Å3. Ca0.5Bi3V2O10 is isostructural with Sr0.5Bi3V2O10, with, a=7.0810(2) Å, b=7.8447(2) Å, c=9.3607(2) Å, α=106.202(1)°, β=94.572(1)°, γ=112.659(1)°, V=450.38(2) Å3 and its structure has been refined by Rietveld method using powder X-ray data. The crystal structure consists of infinite chains of (Bi2O2) along c-axis formed by linkage of BiO8 and BiO6 polyhedra interconnected by MO8 polyhedra forming 2D layers in ac plane. The vanadate tetrahedra are sandwiched between these layers. Conductivity measurements give a maximum conductivity value of 4.54×10−5 and 3.63×10−5 S cm−1 for Ca0.5Bi3V2O10 and Sr0.5Bi3V2O10, respectively at 725 °C.  相似文献

A new Os-containing, pillared perovskite, La5Os3MnO16, has been synthesized by solid state reaction in sealed quartz tubes. This extends the crystal chemistry of these materials which had been known only for Mo and Re, previously. The crystal structure has been characterized by X-ray and neutron powder diffraction and is described in space group C-1 with parameters a=7.9648(9) Å; b=8.062(1) Å; c=10.156(2) Å, α=90.25(1)°, β=95.5(1)°; γ=89.95(2)°, for La5Os3MnO16. The compound is isostructural with the corresponding La5Re3MnO16 phase. A very short Os-Os distance of 2.50(1) Å was found in the dimeric pillaring unit, Os2O10, suggestive of a triple bond as demanded by electron counting. Nearly spin only values for the effective moment for Os5+ () and Mn2+ () were derived from magnetic susceptibility data. Evidence for magnetic transitions was seen near ∼180 and 80 K. Neutron diffraction data indicate that Tc is 170(5) K. The magnetic structure of La5Os3MnO16 at 7 K was solved revealing that Os5+ and Mn2+ form ferrimagnetically coupled layers with antiferromagnetic interlayer ordering. The ordered moments are for Mn2+ and for Os5+, which are reduced from the respective spin only values of 5.0 and . The observation of net ferrimagnetic (antiparallel) intraplanar coupling between Os5+(t2g3) and Mn2+(t2g3eg2) is interesting as it appears to contradict the Goodenough-Kanamori rules for 180° superexchange.  相似文献

The compound Cs2Hg2USe5 was obtained from the solid-state reaction of U, HgSe, Cs2Se3, Se, and CsI at 1123 K. This material crystallizes in a new structure type in space group P2/n of the monoclinic system with a cell of dimensions a=10.276(6) Å, b=4.299(2) Å, c=15.432(9) Å, β=101.857(6) Å, and V=667.2(6) Å3. The structure contains layers separated by Cs atoms. Within the layers are distorted HgSe4 tetrahedra and regular USe6 octahedra. In the temperature range of 25-300 K Cs2Hg2USe5 displays Curie-Weiss paramagnetism with μeff=3.71(2) μB. The compound exhibits semiconducting behavior in the [010] direction; the conductivity at 298 K is 3×10−3 S/cm. Formal oxidation states of Cs/Hg/U/Se may be assigned as +1/+2/+4/− 2, respectively.  相似文献

The family of hydroxymonophosphates of generic formula AMIII(PO3(OH))2 has been revisited using hydrothermal techniques. Four new phases have been synthesized: CsIn(PO3(OH))2, RbFe(PO3(OH))2, RbGa(PO3(OH))2 and RbAl(PO3(OH))2. Single crystal diffraction studies show that they exhibit two different structural types from previously observed other phases with A=H3O, NH4, Rb and M=Al, V, Fe. The “Cs-In” and “Rb-Fe” phosphates crystallize in the triclinic space group , with the cell parameters a=7.4146(3) Å, b=9.0915(3) Å, c=9.7849(3) Å, α=65.525(3)°, β=70.201(3)°, γ=69.556(3)° and V=547.77(4) Å3 (Z=3) for CsIn(PO3(OH))2 and a=7.2025(4) Å, b=8.8329(8) Å, c=9.4540(8) Å, α=65.149(8)°, β=70.045(6)°, γ=69.591(6)° and V=497.44(8) Å3 (Z=3) for α-RbFe(PO3(OH))2. The “Rb-Al” and “Rb-Ga” phosphates crystallize in the Rc space group, with a=8.0581(18) Å and c=51.081(12) Å (V=2872.5(11) Å3 and Z=18) for RbAl(PO3(OH))2 and a=8.1188(15) Å and c=51.943(4) Å (V=2965(8) Å and Z=18) for RbGa(PO3(OH))2. These two structural types are closely related. Both are built up from MIIIO6 octahedra sharing their apices with PO3(OH) tetrahedra to form [M3(PO3OH)6] units, but the latter exhibits a different configuration of their tetrahedra. The three-dimensional host-lattices result from the connection of the [M3(PO3OH)6] units and they present numerous intersecting tunnels containing the monovalent cations.  相似文献

A novel non-centrosymmetric borate, BiCd3(AlO)3(BO3)4, has been prepared by solid state reaction methods below 750 °C. Single-crystal XRD analysis showed that it crystallizes in the hexagonal group P63 with a=10.3919(15) Å, c=5.7215(11) Å, Z=2. In its structure, AlO6 octahedra share edges to form 1D chains that are bridged by BO3 groups through sharing O atoms to form the 3D framework. The 3D framework affords two kinds of channels that are occupied by Bi3+/Cd2+ atoms only or by Bi3+/Cd2+ atoms together with BO3 groups. The IR spectrum further confirmed the presence of BO3 groups. Second-harmonic-generation measurements displayed a response of about 0.5×KDP (KH2PO4). UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectrum showed a band gap of about 3.19 eV. Solid-state fluorescence spectrum exhibited the maximum emission peak at around 390.6 nm. Band structure calculations indicated that it is an indirect semiconductor.  相似文献

The potassium chromium (III) arsenate K3Cr3(AsO4)4 is prepared by solid state reaction at 900°C from a mixture of K2CO3, As2O3 and (NH4)2Cr2O7. It is structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. It crystallizes in the Cmca (no. 64) space group with a=10.671(1) Å, b=20.911(5) Å, c=6.500(3) Å, V=1450.4(8) Å3, Z=4, R(F2)=0.0424 and (F2)=0.1199 for 846 reflections with F2>2σ(F2). The structure consists of CrO6 octahedra and AsO4 tetrahedra sharing corners and edges to form a two-dimensional framework. The K+(2) cations are located in the interlayer space. Conductivity measurement () shows that K3Cr3(AsO4)4 is a poor ionic conductor.  相似文献

Single crystals of Ca3CuRhO6, Ca3Co1.34Rh0.66O6 and Ca3FeRhO6 were synthesized by high temperature flux growth in molten K2CO3 and structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. While Ca3Co1.34Rh0.66O6 and Ca3FeRhO6 crystallize with trigonal (rhombohedral) symmetry in the space group , Z=6: Ca3Co1.34Rh0.66O6a=9.161(1) Å, c=10.601(2) Å; Ca3FeRhO6a=9.1884(3) Å, c=10.7750(4) Å; Ca3CuRhO6 adopts a monoclinic distortion of the K4CdCl6 structure in the space group C2/c, Z=4: a=9.004(2) Å, b=9.218(2) Å, c=6.453(1) Å, β=91.672(5). All crystals of Ca3CuRhO6 examined were twinned by pseudo-merohedry. Ca3CuRhO6, Ca3Co1.34Rh0.66O6, and Ca3FeRhO6 are structurally related and contain infinite one-dimensional chains of alternating face-sharing RhO6 octahedra and MO6 trigonal prisms. In the monoclinic modification, the copper atoms are displaced from the center of the trigonal prism toward one of the rectangular faces adopting a pseudo-square planar configuration. The magnetic properties of Ca3CuRhO6, Ca3Co1.34Rh0.66O6, and Ca3FeRhO6 are discussed.  相似文献

A new vanadium(III) oxalatophosphate has been synthesized hydrothermally and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction and thermogravimetric analysis. It crystallizes in the triclinic space group with a=11.604(2) Å, b=12.391(2) Å, c=15.220(3) Å, α=71.090(3)°, β=82.630(3)°, γ=62.979(3)°, V=1843.8(5) Å3 and Z=2. The structure consists of V6(HPO4)6 double 6-ring (D6R) units connected by coordinating C2O42− and PO43− anions to form anionic sheets in the ab plane with charge-compensating quadruply protonated 1,4-bis(3-aminopropyl)piperazinium cations and water molecules between the sheets. It is one of the few compounds with 2D layer structures and the second example containing D6R units in the system of metal oxalatophosphates. The iron analogue was also synthesized.  相似文献

A novel tin(II) phenylbis(phosphonate) compound has been synthesized hydrothermally and its structure has been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The structure is monoclinic, space group P21/c (no. 14), a=4.8094(4), b=16.2871(13), ; β=106.292(6)°, , Z=2. The three-dimensional structure consists of 3-coordinated tin and 4-coordinated phosphorus double layers separated (pillared) by phenyl rings. These phenyl rings are placed 4.8 Å apart along the a-axis in the structure resulting in lower surface area (∼14 m2/g). The porosity has been increased by replacing phenyl groups by methyl groups (∼31 m2/g).  相似文献

The anion-excess ordered fluorite-related phase Ba4Bi3F17 has been synthesized by a solid state reaction of BaF2 and BiF3 at 873 K. The crystal structure of Ba4Bi3F17 has been studied using electron diffraction and X-ray powder diffraction (a=11.2300(2) Å, c=20.7766(5) Å, S.G. , RI=0.020, RP=0.036). Interstitial fluorine atoms in the Ba4Bi3F17 structure are considered to form isolated cuboctahedral 8 : 12 : 1 clusters. The structural relationship between Ba4Bi3F17 and similar rare-earth-based phases is discussed.  相似文献

Reported are the syntheses, crystal structure determinations from single-crystal X-ray diffraction, and magnetic properties of two new ternary compounds, Eu11Cd6Sb12 and Eu11Zn6Sb12. Both crystallize with the complex Sr11Cd6Sb12 structure type—monoclinic, space group C2/m (no. 12), Z=2, with unit cell parameters a=31.979(4) Å, b=4.5981(5) Å, c=12.3499(14) Å, β=109.675(1)° for Eu11Zn6Sb12, and a=32.507(2) Å, b=4.7294(3) Å, c=12.4158(8) Å, β=109.972(1)° for Eu11Cd6Sb12. Their crystal structures are best described as made up of polyanionic and ribbons of corner-shared ZnSb4 and CdSb4 tetrahedra and Eu2+ cations. A notable characteristic of these structures is the presence of Sb-Sb interactions, which exist between two tetrahedra from adjacent layers, giving rise to unique channels. Detailed structure analyses shows that similar bonding arrangements are seen in much simpler structure types, such as Ca3AlAs3 and Ca5Ga2As6 and the structure can be rationalized as their intergrowth. Temperature-dependent magnetization measurements indicate that Eu11Cd6Sb12 orders anti-ferromagnetically below 7.5 K, while Eu11Zn6Sb12 does not order down to 5 K. Resistivity measurements confirm that Eu11Cd6Sb12 is poorly metallic, as expected for a Zintl phase.  相似文献
