In this paper, a characterization of almost periodicity of topological transformation groups on uniform spaces is given. By searching the appropriate base for uniform structure, it is shown that the topological transformation group is topologically equivalent to an isometric one if it is uniformly equicontinuous.  相似文献

The set of Penrose tilings, when provided with a natural compact metric topology, becomes a strictly ergodic dynamical system under the action of by translation. We show that this action is an almost 1:1 extension of a minimal action by rotations on , i.e., it is an generalization of a Sturmian dynamical system. We also show that the inflation mapping is an almost 1:1 extension of a hyperbolic automorphism on . The local topological structure of the set of Penrose tilings is described, and some generalizations are discussed.

We analyse the solution spaces of limit periodic homogeneous linear difference systems, where the coefficient matrices of the considered systems are taken from a commutative group which does not need to be bounded. In particular, we study such systems whose fundamental matrices are not asymptotically almost periodic or which have solutions vanishing at infinity. We identify a simple condition on the matrix group which guarantees that the studied systems form a dense subset in the space of all considered systems. The obtained results improve previously known theorems about non-almost periodic and non-asymptotically almost periodic solutions. Note that the elements of the coefficient matrices are taken from an infinite field with an absolute value and that the corresponding almost periodic case is treated as well.  相似文献

We obtain characterizations of compact and weakly compact operators from a Banach spaceX into AP(S). For this we use the almost periodic compactification ofS obtained through uniform spaces. For a bounded linear operatorT fromX into AP(S), letT 5, be the translate ofT bys inS defined byT 5(x)=(Tx) 5 . We define topologies on the space of bounded linear operators fromX into AP(S) and obtain the necessary and sufficient conditions for an operatorT to be compact or weakly compact in terms of the uniform continuity of the mapsT 5. IfS is a Hausdorff topological semigroup, we also obtain characterizations of compact and weakly compact multipliers on AP(S) in terms of the uniform continuity of the map S→μs, where μs denotes the unique vector measure corresponding to the operatorT 5.  相似文献

We introduce and study almost compactness for fuzzy topological spaces. We show that the almost continuous image of an almost compact fuzzy topological space is almost compact. Moreover, we show that generally almost compactness for fuzzy topological spaces is not product-invariant, but if X and Y are almost fuzzy topological spaces and X is product related to Y, then their fuzzy topological product is almost compact.  相似文献

We establish the following result.

Theorem. Let be a integrable bounded group representation whose Arveson spectrum is scattered. Then the subspace generated by all eigenvectors of the dual representation is dense in Moreover, the closed subalgebra generated by the operators () is semisimple.

Recently, He et al. [On quasi-weakly almost periodic points. Sci. China Math., 56, 597–606(2013)] constructed two binary sub-shifts to solve an open problem posed by Zhou and Feng in[Twelve open problems on the exact value of the Hausdorff measure and on topological entropy: A brief survey of recent results. Nonlinearity, 17, 493–502(2004)]. In this paper, we study more dynamical properties of those two binary sub-shifts. We show that the first one has zero topological entropy and is transitive but not weakly mixing, while the second one has positive topological entropy and is strongly mixing.  相似文献
