Two imidazolium supported ionic liquid phases (SILPs) containing different anions, trifluoromethanesulphonate [CF(3) SO(3) (-) ], and tetrafluoroborate [BF(4) (-) ], were synthesized and evaluated as solid-phase extraction sorbents for extracting acidic pharmaceuticals from aqueous samples under strong anion-exchange conditions, which include an effective cleanup of the sample. The best SILP material [MI(+) ][CF(3) SO(3) (-) ] was selected and successfully applied to the determination of acidic pharmaceuticals in different types of water samples (river water and effluent wastewater). The results were then compared to the previously synthesized SILP material based on [MI(+) ][CF(3) COO(-) ] and the commercially available Oasis MAX sorbent.  相似文献

Ionic liquid (IL) resins with an ionic liquid environment on solid support were prepared by immobilizing ionic liquid spacers on polystyrene (PS) resin. The properties of IL resins were dramatically changed as the anions of IL were exchanged. The performance of IL resins for solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) was evaluated by measuring coupling kinetics of the first amino acid and synthesizing several peptides on IL resins.  相似文献

A simple solid-phase extraction (SPE) procedure with an octadecyl bonded phase silica (C18) was developed for clean-up of the fungicide thiram from aqueous solutions containing high concentrations of humic substances, for future studies of thiram adsorption onto solid humic substances or soils. Suspensions of humic acids and soil, in aqueous 0.01 M CaCl2 solution, were prepared and used as samples. These extracts were spiked with thiram and immediately applied to a C18-SPE cartridge. Thiram was eluted with chloroform and its concentration measured by spectrophotometry at 283 nm. Non-spiked aqueous extracts (blanks) and a control sample of thiram in 0.01 M CaCl2 aqueous solution were also prepared and submitted to the same SPE procedure. The results show that humic substances are extensively retained by the C18 cartridge but are not eluted with CHCl3. Recoveries of 100-104% were obtained for thiram in the presence of humic substances. The SPE procedure described in this work is an efficient clean-up step to remove the interference of humic substances absorbance and to be coupled to any spectrophotometric or HPLC-UV method, usually used for thiram analysis in food extracts.  相似文献

Summary A solid-phase extraction (SPE) method for sample clean-up followed by a reversed-phase HPLC procedure is reported for the assay of papaverine, diltiazem, desipramine and nicardipine in urine. Disposable extraction cartridges (DECs) filled with C18, C8, C2, CH and PH silica-bonded phases were used. The effect on recovery of sample pH, composition of washing and elution solvents and nature of SPE cartridge were evaluated. The selectivity of SPE was examined using spiked urine samples and the PH cartridge gave rise to the cleanest extracts. Phenyl cartridges were conditioned with methanol and acetic acid-sodium acetate buffer. Urine sample was buffered and then applied to the DEC. The washing step was with acetone-water and subsequently with methanol-acetate buffer. The analytes were eluted with methanol-acetate buffer. The extract was evaporated to dryness, reconstituted in mobile phase, and chromatographed on a reversed-phase C18 column with UV detection at 212 nm. Recoveries of the tested compounds from spiked urine samples using the PH cartridge were in all cases>80%. The within-day and between-day repeatabilities were<5% and 9%, respectively.  相似文献

A fast and novel sample preparation procedure: ultrasound assisted ionic liquid (IL) dispersive liquid extraction for the concentration of lovastatin and simvastatin in aqueous samples was developed. An IL ([C6MIM][PF6]) was used as the extraction solvent, and the factors affecting the extraction efficiency such as initial temperature, the volume of IL, pH of water samples, cooling time, and salt concentration were optimized. In combination with HPLC‐UV, both lovastatin and simvastatin exhibited a good linear range of 1–100 ng/mL. The limits of detection (LODs) of lovastatin and simvastatin were 0.17 and 0.29 ng/mL, respectively. Precisions of the proposed method (RSDs, n = 9) were 4.12 and 4.52%, respectively. This method has been successfully applied for the analysis of target compounds in three real water samples and good spiking recoveries were obtained in the range of 90.0–102.2% for lovastatin and 80.5–112.0% for simvastatin. These results indicated that ultrasound assisted IL dispersive liquid phase extraction would have good application prospect in the pretreatment of environmental samples.  相似文献

Ionic liquids (ILs) are a class of ionic, nonmolecular solvents which remain in liquid state at temperatures below 100 °C. ILs possess a variety of properties including low to negligible vapor pressure, high thermal stability, miscibility with water or a variety of organic solvents, and variable viscosity. IL-modified silica as novel high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) stationary phases have attracted considerable attention for their differential behavior and low free-silanol activity. Indeed, around 21 surface-confined ionic liquids (SCIL) stationary phases have been developed in the last six years. Their chromatographic behavior has been studied, and, despite the presence of a positive charge on the stationary phase, they showed considerable promise for the separation of neutral solutes (not only basic analytes), when operated in reversed phase mode. This aspect points to the potential for truly multimodal stationary phases. This review attempts to summarize the state-of-the-art about SCIL phases including their preparation, chromatographic behavior, and analytical performance.  相似文献

A new generation polymeric ionic liquid (PIL), poly(1-4-vinylbenzyl)-3-hexadecylimidazolium bis[(trifluoromethyl)sulfonyl]imide (poly(VBHDIm+ NTf2)), was synthesized and is shown to exhibit impressive selectivity towards the extraction of 12 polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) from aqueous samples when used as a sorbent coating in direct-immersion solid-phase microextraction (SPME) coupled to gas chromatography (GC). The PIL was imparted with aromatic character to enhance π–π interactions between the analytes and the sorbent coating. For comparison purposes, a PIL with similar structure but lacking the π–π interaction capability, poly(1-vinyl-3-hexadecylimidazolium bis[(trifluoromethyl)sulfonyl]imide) (poly(HDIm+ NTf2)), as well as a commercial polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) sorbent coating were evaluated and exhibited much lower extraction efficiencies. Extraction parameters, including stir rate and extraction time, were studied and optimized. The detection limits of poly(VBHDIm+ NTf2), poly(HDIm+ NTf2), and PDMS coatings varied between 0.003–0.07 μg L−1, 0.02–0.6 μg L−1, and 0.1–6 μg L−1, respectively. The partition coefficients (log Kfs) of eight PAHs to the three studied fiber coatings were estimated using a static SPME approach. This study represents the first report of analyte partition coefficients to any PIL-based material.  相似文献

A broad range of organic compounds is recognized as environmentally relevant for their potential adverse effects on human and ecosystem health. This method was developed to better determine the distribution of 61 compounds that are typically associated with industrial and household waste as well as some that are toxic and known (or suspected) for endocrine-disrupting potential extracted from environmental sediment samples. Pressurized liquid extraction (PLE) coupled with solid-phase extraction (SPE) was used to reduce sample preparation time, reduce solvent consumption to one-fifth of that required using dichloromethane-based Soxhlet extraction, and to minimize background interferences for full scan GC/MS analysis. Recoveries from spiked Ottawa sand, commercially available topsoil, and environmental stream sediment, fortified at 4-720 μg per compound, averaged 76 ± 13%. Initial method detection limits for single-component compounds ranged from 12.5 to 520 μg/kg, based on 25 g samples. Results from 103 environmental sediment samples show that 36 out of 61 compounds (59%) were detected in at least one sample with concentrations ranging from 20 to 100,000 μg/kg. The most frequently detected compound, beta-sitosterol, a plant sterol, was detected in 87 of the 103 (84.5%) environmental samples with a concentration range 360-100,000 μg/kg. Results for a standard reference material using dichloromethane Soxhlet-based extraction are also compared.  相似文献

A simple and rapid method for preconcentration of carbamate insecticides, including methomyl, propoxur, carbofuran, carbaryl, isoprocarb, methiocarb and promecarb, has been developed. It was based on a liquid-liquid microextraction using a [C4MIM][PF6] room temperature ionic liquid as an extraction solvent prior to analysis by high performance liquid chromatography with UV detection. Experimental parameters affecting the extraction performance, such as the volumes of sample, extractant and dissolving solvent, and extraction time, were studied. Under the selected conditions, the enrichment factors in the range between 10 and 25 could be achieved with the limit of detection in the range of 2-40 μg L−1, and with the relative standard deviations of lower than 0.6 and 10.2% for retention time and peak area, respectively. The proposed method offers advantages in reduction of the exposure danger to toxic solvents used in the conventional liquid-liquid extraction, simplicity of the extraction processes, rapidity, and sensitivity enhancement. The method was demonstrated to apply to the analysis of fruit and natural surface water samples.  相似文献

The characteristic kinetic and retention properties of a silica-based cyanopropylsiloxane-bonded sorbent for solid-phase extraction are described. Abraham′s solvation parameter model is used to characterize the contribution of individual intermolecular interactions to retention under liquid chromatographic and sample processing conditions with aqueous methanol mixtures as the mobile phase. The main features governing retention by the sorbent are the solute's size and hydrogen-bond basicity; interactions of a dipole type are not significant when aqueous methanol solutions are employed as the mobile phase. Compared to typical silica-based octadecylsioxane-bonded sorbents the greater difficulty of forming a cavity in the solvated cyanopropylsiloxane-bonded sorbent more than offsets the more favorable dipole-type and solute hydrogenbond base interactions of the cyanopropylsiloxane-bonded sorbent. It is shown that there are no practical circumstances for which a cyanopropylsiloxane-bonded sorbent would be more useful than a typical ODS sorbent for the isolation of organic non-electrolytes from water by solid-phase extraction.  相似文献

In this work, the simple analytical method for the determination of four fluoroquinolone antibiotics: ciprofloxacin, enrofloxacin, norfloxacin and danofloxacin, in environmental surface water samples is described. Sample pretreatment step was performed by the application of a technique based on supported liquid membrane extraction with the configuration of single hollow fiber (HF-SLM). The HPLC system with diode array detection was used for final analysis of studied analytes. Various parameters affecting the extraction efficiency during HF-SLM enrichment, such as type of membrane diluent, pH of donor (sample) and acceptor phases, as well as an enrichment time and salt content of sample were studied. Using the presented hollow-fiber extraction high recovery (70–80%) was achieved. It gave enrichment factor above 100. The detection limits in surface water samples, for the four target antibiotics, were at range 0.01–0.02 μg/l, when 10 ml samples were processed. The obtained results demonstrate the applicability of presented method for the selective extraction of fluoroquinolones in environmental water samples at ultratrace level. Errors, expressed as relative standard deviation (RSD) were below 8%, for all tested concentration levels.  相似文献

In this contribution the first examples of so‐called rigid‐core, T‐shaped imidazolium ionic liquid crystals, in which the C‐2 atom of the imidazolium ring is substituted with an aryl moiety decorated with one or two alkoxy chains, are described. The length of the alkoxy chain(s) was varied from six to eighteen carbon atoms (n=6, 10, 14–18). Whereas the compounds with one long alkoxy chain display only smectic A phases, the salts containing two alkoxy chains exhibit smectic A, multicontinuous cubic, as well as hexagonal columnar phases, as evidenced by polarising optical microscopy, differential scanning calorimetry, and powder X‐ray diffraction. Structural models are proposed for the self‐assembly of the molecules within the mesophases. The imidazolium head groups and the iodide counterions were found to adopt a peculiar orientation in the central part of the columns of the hexagonal columnar phases. The anionic part of ionic liquids can provide additional interactions during chromatographic separations. In this work, the chromatographic separation performance of a silica column functionalized with 1‐propyl‐3‐methylimidazolium chloride ionic liquid was improved by in situ anion‐exchange from chloride anions to dodecyl sulfonate anions and dodecylbenzene sulfonate anions. The separation performances of these ionic liquid functionalized phases were investigated and compared with each other using polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, phthalates, parabens, and phenols as model compounds. Results indicated that the new columns presented a better chromatographic separation than the original one. This was ascribed retention mechanism from organic anions. The introduction of dodecyl sulfonate anions increased the hydrophobicity of stationary phase. Furthermore, the phenyl groups of dodecylbenzene sulfonate anions could provide an enhanced selectivity to aromatic compounds such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons by π–π interactions. Analysis repeatability of the new columns was satisfactory (RSD of retention time, 0.10–0.40%; RSD of peak area, 0.66–0.84%).  相似文献

Cotinine, the main metabolite of nicotine in human body, is widely used as a biomarker for assessment of direct or passive exposure to tobacco smoke. A method for molecularly imprinted solid-phase extraction (MISPE) of cotinine from human urine has been investigated. The molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) with good selectivity and affinity for cotinine was synthesized using cotinine as the template molecule, methacrylic acid as the functional monomer, and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate as the cross-linker. The imprinted polymer was evaluated for use as a SPE sorbent, in tests with aqueous standards, by comparing recovery data obtained using the imprinted form of the polymer and a non-imprinted form (NIP). Extraction from the aqueous solutions resulted in more than 80% recovery. A range of linearity for cotinine between 0.05 and 5 μg mL−1 was obtained by loading 1 mL blank urine samples spiked with cotinine at different concentrations in acetate buffer of pH 9.0, and by using double basic washing and acidic elution. The intra-day coefficient of variation (CV) was below 7% and inter-day CV was below 10%. This investigation has provided a reliable MISPE–HPLC method for determination of cotinine in human urine from both active smokers and passive smokers. Figure  相似文献

A series of novel cationic functional hexaalkylguanidinium ionic liquids and anionic functional tetraalkylguanidinium ionic liquids have been synthesized, and then magnetic chitosan graphene oxide (MCGO) composite has been prepared and coated with these functional guanidinium ionic liquids to extract protein by magnetic solid-phase extraction. MCGO-functional guanidinium ionic liquid has been characterized by vibrating sample magnetometer, field emission scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction spectrometer and Fourier transform infrared spectrometer. After extraction, the concentrations of protein were determined by measuring the absorbance at 278 nm using an ultra violet visible spectrophotometer. The advantages of MCGO-functional guanidinium ionic liquid in protein extraction were compared with magnetic chitosan, graphene oxide, MCGO and MCGO-ordinary imidazolium ionic liquid. The proposed method has been applied to extract trypsin, lysozyme, ovalbumin and bovine serum albumin. A comprehensive study of the adsorption conditions such as the concentration of protein, the amount of MCGO-functional guanidinium ionic liquid, the pH, the temperature and the extraction time were also presented. Moreover, the MCGO-functional guanidinium ionic liquid can be easily regenerated, and the extraction capacity was about 94% of the initial one after being used three times.  相似文献

A method to determine organochlorine pesticides in horticultural samples (lettuce, tomato, spinach, potato, turnip leaf and green bean) using pressurized liquid extraction (PLE) is described and compared with microwave assisted extraction (MAE). Significant parameters affecting PLE procedure such as temperature, static extraction time and extraction solvent were optimised and discussed. Clean-up of extracts was performed by solid phase extraction (SPE) using a carbon cartridge as adsorbent. Pesticides were determined by gas chromatography and electron capture detection (GC-ECD). Analytical recoveries obtained were ca. 100% and the relative standard deviations were lower than 15% for most of the studied pesticides with the proposed methods in each analysed matrix.  相似文献

A dicationic imidazolium ionic liquid modified silica stationary phase was prepared and evaluated by reversed‐phase/anion‐exchange mixed‐mode chromatography. Model compounds (polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and anilines) were separated well on the column by reversed‐phase chromatography; inorganic anions (bromate, bromide, nitrate, iodide, and thiocyanate), and organic anions (p‐aminobenzoic acid, p‐anilinesulfonic acid, sodium benzoate, pathalic acid, and salicylic acid) were also separated individually by anion‐exchange chromatography. Based on the multiple sites of the stationary phase, the column could separate 14 solutes containing the above series of analytes in one run. The dicationic imidazolium ionic liquid modified silica can interact with hydrophobic analytes by the hydrophobic C6 chain; it can enhance selectivity to aromatic compounds by imidazolium groups; and it also provided anion‐exchange and electrostatic interactions with ionic solutes. Compared with a monocationic ionic liquid functionalized stationary phase, the new stationary phase represented enhanced selectivity owing to more interaction sites.  相似文献

Summary Momordicoside A has been determined by solid-phase extraction (SPE) on a Envi Carb cartridge (3 mL, 250mg) then high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) on a C18 column (4.6 mm×250 mm, 5 μm particle) with acetonitrile-methanol-50mm potassium dihydrogen phosphate buffer, 25:20:60 (v/v), as mobile phase, at a flow rate of 0.8 mL min−1, and UV detection at 208 nm. The analytical method was shown to be highly reproducible, with precision (asRSD) and accuracy (asRME)<10%, both intra-day and inter-day. Absolute recoveries were >90%. The method was applied to the determination of momordicoside A in various tissues from different varieties of bitter melon from different producing areas.  相似文献

Summary An on-line, solid-phase extraction gas chromatography atomic-emission detection (SPE-GC-AED) system has been set up using an on-column interface to transfer 100 l of desorbing solvent to the GC part of the system. Analytical characteristics such as recovery, precision and linearity of calibration plots were comparable with those of the off-line combination of SPE-GC-AED using organophosphorus pesticides as test compounds. The fully on-line set-up causes a marked improvement in detection because of the quantitative transfer of the analytes from the SPE module to the GC: detection limits are as low as 5–20 ng l–1 for the analysis of 10 ml raw and spiked surface water samples using the phosphorus channel. Detection levels can be further enhanced by processing up to 100 ml samples. The integrated analytical system is robust. The potential of the on-line set up has been demonstrated for the analysis of surface water and waste water.  相似文献

Summary The solvation parameter model is used to characterize the retention properties of a cyanopropylsiloxane-bonded, silica-based sorbent with methanol, acetonitrile, tetrahydrofuran, and isopropanol in water as mobile phases. The system constants over the composition range 1 to 50% (v/v) organic solvent indicate that retention occurs because of the relative ease of cavity formation in the solvated stationary phase compared to the same process in the predominantly aqueous mobile phase as well as from more favorable stationary phase interactions with solutes containing - and n-electrons. The capacity of the solute for dipole-type interactions is not important whereas all hydrogen-bond-type interactions result in reduced retention. Graphing the system constants as a function of mobile phase composition provides a simple mechanism for interpreting the change in capacity of the chromatographic system for retention in terms of changes in the relative weighting of fundamental intermolecular interactions. A comparison is also made with the retention properties of an octadecylsiloxane-bonded, silica-based sorbent with 30% (v/v) methanol in water as the mobile phase and the extraction characteristics of a porous polymer sorbent with 1% (v/v) methanol, acetonitrile, tetrahydrofuran, and isopropanol in water as the sample processing solvent. Changes in sorbent selectivity due to selective uptake of the processing solvent are much smaller for the cyanopropylsiloxane-bonded sorbent than the results found for a porous polymer sorbent.  相似文献
