An on-line flow injection system has been developed for the selective determination of Se(IV) and Se(VI) in citric fruit juices and geothermal waters by hydride generation atomic absorption spectrometry with microwave-aided heating prereduction of Se(VI) to Se(IV). The samples and the prereductant solutions (4 mol l−1 HCl for Se(IV) and 12 mol l−1 HCl for Se(VI)) which circulated in a closed-flow circuit were injected by means of a time-based injector. This mixture was displaced by a carrier solution of 1% v/v of hydrochloric acid through a PTFE coil located inside the focused microwave oven and mixed downstream with a borohydride solution to generate the hydride. The linear ranges were 0–120 and 0–100 μg l−1 of Se(IV) and Se(VI), respectively. The detection limits were 1.0 μg l−1 for Se(IV) and 1.5 μg l−1 for Se(VI). The precision (about 2.0–2.5% RSD) and recoveries (96–98% for Se(IV) and 94–98% for Se(VI)) were good. Total selenium values were also obtained by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry which agreed with the content of both selenium species. The sample throughput was about 50 measurements per hour. The main advantage of the method is that the selective determination of Se(IV) and Se(VI) in citric fruit juices and geothermal waters is performed in a closed system with a minimum sample manipulation, exposure to the environment, minimum sample waste and operator attention. 相似文献

ObjectiveTo establish a method to simultaneously determine major and trace element contents of Na, K, Cu, Fe, Zn, Mn, Ca, Mg, Cr, Ni, Pb, Se, As and Cd in six herbal drugs.MethodsMicrowave digestion procedure was applied under optimized conditions for digesting medicinal herbs. Concentrations of elements were determined by ICP-AES.ResultsThe results indicated that the herbal drugs were abundant in major and trace element contents which are healthy for human body. After optimizing the microwave digestion technology, the recovery of the element was 96.79–103.47% and the RSD < 5.0%.ConclusionICP-AES combined with the microwave digestion technology has a lot of merits in terms of saving time and effort, reducing environmental pollution, fast and accurate determination of results in determining major and trace elements. 相似文献

To develop an accurate and precise method for separation and pre-concentration of Hg(II), a novel thionin functionalised core shell structure magnetic material has been prepared and characterised. The extraction ability of the material was evaluated by magnetic solid-phase extraction coupled with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry determination of Hg(II) in food and water samples. Combining the advantages of magnetic separation with selective extraction of thionin towards Hg(II), the material exhibits enhanced enrich selectivity and efficiency for Hg(II). The experimental parameters influencing Hg(II) extraction efficiency, including pH of the aqueous solution, the dosage of the adsorbent, extraction time and sample volume, were systematically investigated. Under the optimised conditions, concentration of Hg(II) at 1.0 μg L?1 can be successfully enriched by the material without the interference of the common co-existing ions. The enrichment factor and adsorption capacity were 250 and 75.2 mg g?1, and precise of the method was confirmed by analysing the spiked food, water samples and standard water reference samples with the recoveries of 92.5–101.8%. 相似文献

A sensitive HPLC–MS/MS method was established for the quantification of ceftriaxone sodium (CFT) and lidocaine HCl (LDC) in human plasma utilizing cefixime (CFX) and tadalafil (TDA) as internal standards. The analytes were extracted from human plasma by protein precipitation using acetonitrile. Chromatographic separation was performed on Kinetex C18 (50.0 × 4.6 mm, 5 μm particle size) column with methanol–0.01 M ammonium acetate pH 6.4 (70: 30, v/v) as mobile phase. Multiple reaction monitoring involving the transitions 555.10 → 396.20, 235.20 → 86.00, 454.20 → 284.80 and 390.20 → 268.20 was utilized to quantify CFT, LDC, CFX and TDA, respectively, using a triple quadrupole mass spectrometer which was operated in positive ion mode. The method revealed linearity in the concentration range of 3.0–300.0 μg/mL for CFT and 3.0–300.0 ng/mL for LDC. The validation of the method was achieved in accordance to the US Food and Drug Administration guidelines. A pharmacokinetic study was performed on healthy Egyptian volunteers after intramuscular injection of sterile ceftriaxone sodium (1 g CFT dissolved in 3.5 mL of 1% LDC) after approval from the ethics committee. The pharmacokinetic parameters were: Cmax 141.15 ± 39.84 (μg/mL) and 55.02 ± 9.36 (ng/mL); tmax (h) 2.50 ± 0.50 and 1.5 ± 0.50; t½ (h) 7.30 ± 2.98 and 4.23 ± 1.96; and Kel (h−1) 0.10 ± 0.04 and 0.20 ± 0.13 for CFT and LDC, respectively. 相似文献

Selenium is an essential element for the normal cellular function of living organisms. However, selenium is toxic at concentrations of only three to five times higher than the essential concentration. The inorganic forms (mainly selenite and selenate) present in environmental water generally exhibit higher toxicity (up to 40 times) than organic forms. Therefore, the determination of low levels of different inorganic selenium species in water is an analytical challenge. Solid-phase extraction has been used as a separation and/or preconcentration technique prior to the determination of selenium species due to the need for accurate measurements for Se species in water at extremely low levels. The present paper provides a critical review of the published methods for inorganic selenium speciation in water samples using solid phase extraction as a preconcentration procedure. On the basis of more than 75 references, the different speciation strategies used for this task have been highlighted and classified. The solid-phase extraction sorbents and the performance and analytical characteristics of the developed methods for Se speciation are also discussed. 相似文献
